greetings everybody and welcome back to another video on the channel today we will be going over the different ways to look for spelled items [Music] so if you don't know what spelled items are or aren't too familiar with it there are many guides and videos out there talking about spells i would recommend the virtual economist's guide for a comprehensive discussion about them anyway if you've been active in the t3 trading scene you would know that spelled items are what's hot nowadays sure unusuals are cool and all but don't you want cool paint changing hats and or fiery footsteps during screen fortress or halloween enabled community servers yeah that's what i thought well if you want to get your hands on one here are the different ways you could search for and possibly obtain one 5. before even searching for a spelled item you want to make sure it actually exists the best way to do so is by using tf2tools.net with it you'll be able to identify if a certain spelled item exists either single or double spelled on both cosmetics and weapons for example if you want to see if a dead of night with chromatic corruption and headless horseshoes exist all you have to do is hover over tools go down to applied spelled frequencies chromatic and horseshoes as a combo and so you click on spell combos and now you just match chromatic corruption with headless horseshoes finally after the page is loaded press control plus f on your keyboard for the search function and type in dead of night it should automatically highlight the cosmetic if it exists and if not otherwise the database of tf2tools.net is vast of course it wouldn't be able to take into account private inventories but the results it provides are the best you could get but don't always be 100 sure on the results since we all know that steam's api can be a bit wonky at times now that you know that the spelled item you want exists the easiest way to go searching for it is through the steam community market you can simply just type the item you're looking for in the search bar and see if it appears there are two ways to use the steam market for searching spelled items the first method will require you to turn on an advanced option and to do this simply click on show advanced option under the search bar and check the box right next to include descriptions and search it should as it says include descriptions of the item in the search so if you type a spelled item or even a paint it should show up in this example i want a sinister staining bills hat and if i search that verbatim it should show the results the second method almost works the same way simply just search for the name of the item without the spell which in this example will be a strange rocket launcher after that click on the box of the strange rocket launcher and scroll down until you find listings in the search bar where it says looking for a specific item input the name of the spell in this example i want a strange rocket launcher with exorcism hence i will type exorcism there and there you have it the results just an important reminder legitimate spelled items should have a blue description of the spell that's applied to it non-blue spell descriptions are just fake spelled items with a description tag applied spells.tf is a fairly new trading website that is similar to quixote.store and scrap.tf it was founded around the same time spelled items increased in popularity in the trading scene as the name suggests spells.tf centers around spell trading and so all the items they sell and buy are spelled i've also heard that spells.tf offers the best prices for both buying and selling but i will leave that for you guys to decide spells.tf website is very straightforward and easy to use open the website by typing spells.tf on your browser's search bar after the page is loaded you can either choose to buy or sell spells since we're looking for spelled items in this video i will click on the buy button which will then lead me to another page where i can select which category of spelled items i'd like to if you know what you're doing this should be pretty straightforward more than spell trading the site also offers guides on everything you need to know about spells these will prove useful if you do decide that they expel trading seriously there is also a link to the spells.tf discord and an email where you can ask for assistance with spells be sure to check those out if you need guidance and or have inquiries about spelled items two if you don't know what dflu trading enhanced is then you're not an efficient trader no offense basically tf2 trading enhances a browser extension that adds features and functionality to backpack.df and steam i won't be going over all the browser extensions features in detail instead i will be talking about one feature it has that allows you to find halloween spells first things first you need to download the browser extension from the chrome web store after adding it to chrome it should automatically be active on any backpack.df page or steam page from here simply just go to the backpack.df listing page of any item in this example the all father and below the search bar you should see the find halloween spells button give it a second and it should come up with the results of all spelled instances of the hat though the tool isn't helpful when looking for specific spelled items it is still useful if you want to sort out the spelled items from the painted and normal unique ones one in terms of searching for specific spelled items backpack.tf premium is a wild card and it's really the pinnacle of any spell searching tool having the database of over millions of team fortress 2 players you are sure to find the spelled item you're looking for plus the history the current owner and all other instances of the spelled item even if that item isn't listed on backpack.df's classified listings there's one downside though you need to pay for the service backpack.tf premium comes at a price of around 4.99 a month or three keys via in-game items spelt item searches are only a fraction of what backpack.tf premium can do with it basically any item that exists and made public whether it be a hat a taunt an unusual or whatever will be searchable by backpack.ef premium if you do decide to purchase the premium service searching for a spelled item is simply a few clicks away on the backpack.ef homepage hover over the trading tab and click on premium search then click on the build a search button that is highlighted in purple to narrow down your search let's say i want a sinister staining tough guy stoke all i have to do is put the item's name on the search bar click on its option go to the spells drop down box and click on send sustaining to even narrow down your search you could click on what paint it has or if it's strange vintage unusual etc but since i'm okay with any type of sensor staining tough guy stoke i'll just go ahead and press confirm the results should show right away but since backpack.they have premium this allows sharing results in their term of use i have blurred it and respect however if you do get the premium service it should work just fine backpack.df premium has one weakness and that's the unavailability to search for double spelled items i hope you learned something new and are able to apply
