Hebrews, Israelites, and Jews

any social structure is best understood through its heritage and culture since the Bible was written from Hebrew traditions and unsick wheedies it should be considered from an e-bike perspective unfortunately many believers approach Biblical Hebrew concepts with the Western mindset this is why developing an e-bike lens as we go through the Scriptures cannot be downplayed welcome to Hebrews with Pastor a bid for being a dad [Music] viewers welcome to today's edition of Hebrew roots it's a it's an honor to have in the studios today the man of God and my father in the Lord pastor öbut or being a day he has a PhD in prophetic eschatological hermeneutics and Doctor of apologetics whoa man of God ha ha ha it's an honor to have you today it's an honor to be here how are you doing say messy messy on my head globally there is an interest in our Hebrew roots and in the church there is a special place of horizon and the Hebrew culture in the context of contemporary Christianity there are many unanswered questions many confusion a lot as well as gaps when it comes to Hebrew tradition culture Christianity and what has to do with them and today we're here to address some of these concerns my first question is who is a Hebrew is there a difference between an Israelite a Jew and a Hebrew wonderful question many people use those words interchangeably a Hebrew a Jew and an Asian light but technically according to the Word of God they are not the same and they are very distinct in the applications and a proper understanding of who a Hebrew is who a Jew is and who is an Israelite would help us in appreciating a lot of scriptural truths so to begin with the Word of God actually explains to us who a Hebrew is the word Hebrew comes from the Greek word ever and ever simply means one who is in jammies from beyond one who has been travelling from a far distant place and Hebrew its of means one who is from the regions beyond that is to say we cannot really tell their nativity but that we could only tell the direction they came from so Abraham in the Bible is said to be Abram the Hebrew so now the first place where we see the application of a Hebrew to abraham was because abraham was in jemmye's the Bible said God called him and told him that he would show him a land that he should go and dwell in and so he set out in obedience to the Word of God and was nomadic and paid that he became a Hebrew one who came from the regions beyond one who is in Genesis so now when we speak of a Hebrew we mean one who is shuffling and would leave anywhere and settle any way pay the demands of the moment so that was who Abram was so according to Hebrew roots the first Hebrew was Abraham but then Abraham was not unusual aight because the word israel or upon first application was used for jacob and the son of abraham was Isaac and he gave birth to Jacob and Jacob in the meeting with epiphany that was when God appeared in the form of a man and wrestled with him he Aksum of his name and he said his Jacob and the Bible says that he said you would henceforth be no more called Jacob but you be called Israel so Abraham predated Israel or existed before Israel and he existed a generation before Israel that is to say that Abraham was a grandfather of Israel now the application of Israel is in two ways there is application of Israel by Beth or Israel because one who became the Word of God says that concerning Jacob that you have wrestled with God and with man and have prevailed so the word Israel actually simply means the one that has prevailed with God and with man so we understand that Jacob as a passing prevailed to become Israel but then his twelve sons and the tribes that he established by reason of his sons were Israelites by Beth so now one is an Israel by reason of prevailing with man and with God or he's an Israel by bed that is to say that when you read the New Testament account we know that there is the Israel of God for you to be the Israel of God it simply means that you have been accepted in his beloved and you have a right to power with God and with man then I will come to is a Jew so now we know that the twelve tribes by Beth were realized however in the days of David the king he established his kingdom and prior to the establishment of the kingdom the nation of Israel remember that the double portion was given to Joseph and now in Joseph was his two sons who were ephraim and manasseh and ephraim was now given the rights of the firstborn and for which reason of all the twelve tribes EFM became the capital town or the head town of the twelve tribes and for which reason we are done in Samaria coming out of every so Samaria became the capital of the nation of Israel now in this Ameria we also know that gideon was in the same regions of ephraim and in the days of some more the prophet he established his rulership over the twelve tribes as a prophet of Israel from his hometown which was in Gibeon when Debbie came on the scene as a king he decided to move the capital from Sumeria to GIDA or to Zion or to Jerusalem now there was trouble there was a knocking the other heads of the tribes knowing that it has been established that Samaria was supposed to be the capital town or the head city of the 12 tribes rebelled against David the kingdom divided into two and we had a northern kingdom in the south in Kingdom now the northern kingdom was made up of the ten tribes which I refer to as the ten northern tribes or the nothing kingdom of the ten tribes I remember that there were 12 sons of Jacob but now in Joseph they broke into two and became 13 because of Ephraim and Manasseh upon that premise we understand that the 12 tribes in reference to levy levy did not have an inheritance of a land so the tribe saw had to be 12 and so in dividing Joseph into two they so got allotments up to 12 since levy was supposed to have the priesthood in the south in Kingdom upon David establishing the kingdom and establishing his capital in Jerusalem three tribes join him his tribe which was Judah the Levites joined him and then Benjamin also joined him so the tribe of Benjamin the tribe of Judah and then the tribe of levy became the south in Kingdom it is these three tribes that are referred to as the Jews so now when you look at the nation of Israel as a whole the entire 12 tribes are Israelites but not all Israelites are Jews the Jews are Benjamites those from Judah and then the Levites so now when you refer to the you mean those who belong to the South thinking loan when you refer to the Israelites you mean those who belong to their 12 tribes when you refer to the Samaritans you mean those who belong to the team mountain tribes because their capital was Samaria so you realize that in the days of Jesus when he met a woman by the way the Bible says that the woman says how come that you being a Jew speak to me who is a Samaritan am also a woman so the whole discourse or the length or the long and short of what I'm saying is that the Hebrew is one who is a descendent of Abraham the Israelite is one who is a descendant of Jacob the G is one with an ally with David who comes from Judah levy or Benjamin so that is the distinction between research who is an Israelite and we say Hebrew simply puts all Jews are is alights and all Israelites are Hebrews but it is not all Hebrews that are visualized and it's not all Asia lights that are Jews yes that so man of God it means that not all Hebrews are Israelites exactly can you clarify that for me and the point is very clear we know that Abraham was Hebrew that simply means that if Muhammad and the Nation of Islam descended from Abraham then they are also Hebrews and simply put the animatic to be a Hebrew simply means to be nomadic and we see that the nomads even to date and as we see is the lifestyle of Hebrews and when you see a Hebrew he is typically an honored so apart from the 12 tribes of Israel since Abraham was a Hebrew and had children apart from Isaac he also had Ishmael so they Ishmaelites are also heroes and Isaac is also Hebrew and in his lineage we have Jacob who is also Hebrew but this time is an Israelite and then Klaus I found it was that - unfortunately progeny from his progeny and then out of that we also have the Jews so when you say Hebrew you mean all those who descended from Abraham and the truth of the matter is that Abraham himself was a Hebrew because he came from a bear and the first a bear was the one who came from the regions beyond so Abram was referred to as a Hebrew because he came from a bear and then write down his lineage where we see the Muhammadans or we see the Nation of Islam and then we also have Christianity and then we have Judaism we now would have to understand that all these three religions have Hebrew roots I I hope you get yes I'm if I get a call also so to be if you look at it historically historically then it means that from Abraham yes who is he who is the a Hebrew anyone who descended from Abraham in say Hebrew exactly and then a long that decent came Israel Israel and out of Israel came the Jews yes so we can say that not all Israelites Hebrews no we can say that not all Israelites are do not all Israelites are Jews and not all Hebrews are Israel and not all Hebrews are Israel exactly but then all Jews Hebrews all Israelites are Hebrews because they come from Abraham they are the descendants of Abraham the Hebrew the Israelites have been very very persecuted the Hebrews the Jews have been persecuted if you look at 70 AD if you look at Masada if you look at out of Hitler's Holocaust if you look at Antiochus Epiphanes these are instances of focused attack or hatred for the people of God is there any special reason for this I would want to clarify your question and then make things a bit clearer for people now if you say that the Hebrews have been most persecuted it is not the case now if you say that the Israelites have been most persecuted it is the case if you say that the Jews have been most persecuted it is the case the reason being this like we said already it is not all Israelites that are Jews and it is not all em he bruised than originates so the people that have been most persecuted though I Hebrews are the Israelites and then the Jews because the the nation of islam has not been persecuted but then we know that the church and israelites have been the most persecuted breed of people on the earth so now in looking at our Hebrew roots we should understand why that is the case the first reason is this it is in Abraham that all the nations of the earth are blessed that is what the Word of God says then again this blessing was sealed and concealed in the seed of Abraham not in his seeds but in his seed which seed is Christ because the promise that was given to Abraham was delivered and established in Isaac it was not established in Ishmael so now in understanding this we know that he did not say to his seeds but he said to his seat so we been Gentiles as before having been brought into the Commonwealth of Israel and now beneficiaries of that promise so all we like Isaac are now blessed in Christ because Christ is the seed of Abraham now this seed had already been prophesied about by God and the information was not given to the woman but the information was given to the seventh the Bible said and God told and gospel to the seventh and said that the seed of the woman who used the head of the seventh and then the second will bite his heels so now this was prophecy that is age long that was given in the Garden of Eden upon that premise the devil knowing that there was the promised seed who was supposed to come to lose his head decided from time immemorial to attack every lineage that carried the seed of promise that is the reason why from the beginning of time up to date all those who belong to that lineage have had to suffer persecution so what you're saying is that it is because of the sea that promised see exactly because Satan organizes global persecution and against the lineage of that sea of that scene exactly so now you see because the promise of the seed was to bruise the head of the seventh and that is where the church not that's how come I'm saying it is not just the nation of Israel that has been persecuted anybody who becomes a path or a partaker of the Commonwealth of Israel that is big it's a Gentile or an Israelite or a G or a Hebrew notwithstanding as far as you become a partaker of the Commonwealth of Israel that blessing of Abraham that rights of Abraham to produce the seed to destroy or to bruise a head of the serpent which is Satan which is who is the dragon and the devil he upon that premise makes you a target of his attack and would organize persecution and this explains why the church and the nation of Israel has become the target of persecution globally it is just because a church in the nation of Israel had in its DNA and in its very make up the blessing of the seed that was to bruise the head of the seventh that is amazing it means that even the angelic cohort that tried to sabotage the D and E in the writing world yes it was also it was all an attack against the CNC so we know that that's how come the Bible says in the book of Genesis that the angels saw that the daughters of men were failed and so they came and took em for themselves any of them that they found pleasure in or found beautiful for themselves as suitors so the whole attack of the angelic was an intent of Satan to destroy the seed of the woman and that is how come they came attacking the daughters of men and so when they felt the attack then they came they this devil Satan instigated humans to not attack the Israelites in an attempt to abort the prompted genealogy of the promised seed exactly that's that's that's a very very perfect now just to jump and come back when you read the book of Acts the Bible says that when Paul went to preach to the Gentiles when he retained to the council in Jerusalem in Acts chapter 15 after they have passed the verdict of allowing the Gentiles to become partakers of the blessing of the gospel that they had enjoyed and giving them their rights they gave them three things that they should desist for the first in the way to desist from sexual immorality the second thing the way to disease form was thin strangled and then they pet in the way to disease form was black when you look at these three things prior to the same or prior to the given of these three things we should remember that it had been prophesied in Amos that God was going to restore the tabernacle of David now you remember that I spoke of a Jew is one that is an ally to David yes and we realized that the Allies were three Benjamin and then the second one was levy and the third was Judah now these three tribes were the Allies to David if you remember what I said already it was because David wanted to establish the rusul him as his capital Mount Sion as a stronghold when he took the thought of the Jebusites upon that premise he decided to establish the temple in Jerusalem when the Ark of God was very intense in giving he moved the action Jerusalem and then had his son Solomon to build a temple to house the actors now James in acts 15 is saying that Amos prophesied what this that there would come a day when the tabernacle of David will be restored what is that a binocular of David the tabernacle of David for most people think that the tabernacle of David is singing and dancing but that's far from the truth the tabernacle of David it's simply a shift in religious systems and order where we move from the order of worshipping intents to come and worship in the temple where we move from the old order of the law of Moses where the other was intense and in the wilderness and having come even into the promise we're still ignorant of our rights and the privileges and the prophetic the months of heaven on us in other words which we the tabernacle involves movement movement magic lifestyle exactly into a place of residency a place of residence yes and that brings us into the temple now in understanding that James say a most prophesied that the Lord was going to restore the tabernacle of David and I said that it's a miracle of David it's a shift in the religious order the tabernacle of David is a shift in religious order from transitions into stationary [Music]
