I know a lot of you either gave up on Korean or never even start because the grammar and pronunciation just feel too bad But let me ask you this, when you speak your first language do you ever think about grammar or pronunciation? Of course not! Right? We just naturally picked up our first language when we were babies Then what if you could learn Korean the way babies learn their first language not by memorizing grammar rules but by listening to real conversations and naturally understanding the language itself That's why I created the "Learn Korean Like a Baby" series So if you're looking for the method that actually works, you're in the right place Hello! 안녕하세요! I'm Minyong from Delicious Korean, a Korean learning service trusted by over 300 learners around the world In this video, I want to share three things with you First, what the "Learn Korean Like a Baby" series is all about Second, why I created this series for you And third, how you can use this series to learn Korean naturally and more effectively Let's dive in! Before we jump in, I want to share ONE important thing the "Learn Korean Like a Baby" series is based on a powerful method called, Comprehensible Input If that sounds like a big word, Don't worry! Let me explain it in a simple way This idea comes from "Stephen Krashen", a famous linguist and professor who spent his life studying how people learn languages He says that, "Comprehensible Input is the only and the most effective way to truly learn a language." So, what exactly is it? "Comprehensible Input" means learning through what you hear and see, in other words the "INPUT" which your brain receives And it becomes "COMPREHENSIBLE", when you can understand most of it with just a small amount of new expression mixed in The magic ratio here is about 80% familiar and 20% new You can use what you already know to guess the meaning of new parts without any translations That 80% is what we call "context" and I'll show you an example I'm going to speak only in Korean So listen carefully, and try to guess what I'm saying 망고 망고 망고 먹어요 망고 먹어요 망고 먹어요 망고 한 개 망고 한 개 먹어요 망고 한 개 먹어요 Did you get it? Great job! It means "I eat one mango", right? Without context, it would've just been like random sounds But with context, you're able to guess the meaning and naturally connect those sounds to what it actually means So when you learn this way, your brain naturally figures out meaning and you're guessing from the context connecting it with what you already know which helps your brain truly understand just like the baby does, right? And that's exactly why I named this series "Learn Korean Like a Baby" It's about learning new language in the most natural way And I can confidently say, for a language as new and different as Korean this is one of the most effective ways to learn And why I made this series OK, now that you kind of understand what comprehensible input is and you might be thinking then "Why did you make this series?" Well, here's the three reasons Reason 1. There's not enough good comprehensible input content for Korean especially for beginners When I started building our service I looked everywhere. Really everywhere. There isn't much helpful comprehensible input content out there for people who are still beginners The problem with that is, if a beginner jumps straight into difficult comprehensible input content it can feel really overwhelming As you can imagine, if you know only a few words or nothing at all and suddenly hear fast unfamiliar Korean OH MY GOSH... It feels like there's a huge wall in front of you, right? That's why I decided to create Korean Comprehensible Input content something that beginners can actually understand and follow And reason number two, It's hard to find content that follows a clear & step by step curriculum designed for real growth Yes, in theory learning with content that 80% familiar and 20% new does work but think about it for a second Does content like that actually exist for you? I mean, it's almost impossible to find the ratio that matches each learner's individual level and needs And top of that, most materials are based on random topics without considering the priority of expressions Because the lessons aren't connected there's not enough repetition and your brain doesn't get a chance to build real understanding So, I decided to create a clear and structured curriculum one that beginners can truly grow with, helps them move forward step by step, and actually see their progress Reason number three It works. Seriously, it works. More than 300 our students have already learned with us through this method and we've been seeing amazing results At first, many of our students felt guessing and understanding from context not translating word by word is a bit strange But over time, they all said the same thing they finally started to understand real Korean and even speak it! And in the end, you'll be surprised at how much progress you've made with our series That's the power of "Comprehensible Input", which builds motivation and deeper connection with the language So to sum it up all, there just isn't enough Korean content out there that beginners can actually understand and grow with step by step through repetition That's why I decided to create this series with the real comprehensible content that can truly help So now, I'm incredibly excited to finally share it with you How this series works? Here's what makes "Learn Korean Like a Baby" series special and why it can really help you First, we've designed each video to actually support your understanding I've tried a lot of different approaches in our program and instead of following the usual 80:20 ratio I take it even further Our series use a 90:10 ratio 90% familiar content and with the 10% new Why? Because that way, you're not overwhelmed You'll be able to guess the meaning of the new words through context and actually understand their conversations And you'll be able to hear the same words and patterns again and again, which makes your ability to understand Korean grow naturally and steadily And I'll also use visuals, facial expressions, gestures, and real life images to help you understand what they mean without needing translation That way, you can start to understand the language naturally just like babies do, right? Second, this series follow a structured curriculum we start from A0, which means complete beginner you can choose the right level for you by looking at the titles of each video and within each level the content is designed with structured repetition and review So you can fully absorb what you're learning and if you're a total beginner, like really starting from zero Don't worry! A0 is truly made for beginners like you so even if you don't know Hangul, the Korean alphabet yet, you'll still be able to understand And also at the beginning, I'll speak really slowly so you can follow along and understand the meaning without stress For A1 and above, I do recommend learning Hangul and if you're ready for that we got Hangul videos on our channel to help you get started And from there, we'll gradually start to increase the speaking speed so you can slowly get used to the natural rhythm and sound of Korean As you move through each level, you will see your skills improve step by step And I can't wait to see how far you'll go And lastly every video uses real expression things people say in actual conversations So, we don't just list like random vocabulary we focus on what's useful and practical in daily life So, you will get closer to real Korean conversation faster To sum it up, here's what makes this series special First, instead of typical 80:20 ratio we start with 90:10 ratio so you can actually understand what's going on from the beginning Second, the series follow a clear and structured curriculum so you can grow slowly, steadily, and confidently And lastly, you're not just learning random topics you're focused on high priority expressions the ones that people really use in daily life And finally, as a bonus, we'll also release fun and engaging Korean podcast using the expression you've Learned Now, how can you get the most out of each video in this series First, you will start with a full comprehensible input experience where you listen, guess, and understand naturally At this stage, just watch the video from start to finish Don't worry about understanding every single word Use the context like gestures, visuals, facial expressions to guess what's happening At the beginning, it might feel a bit strange and yes you probably won't understand 100% but that's totally okay stay curious, keep watching, and focus on what's feel familiar That's how real understanding begins Next, you will get a short review of the key expression you just heard and after that, watch the video again still guessing the meaning but this time, try to mimic the pronunciation tone and rhythm this will help you to get used to the language itself And most importantly, Don't Rush! Go at your own pace and stay consistent That's the key! As you know, there's no magic shortcut but if you're enjoying this process you'll grow steadily and confidently Language learning isn't about speed, it's about immersion When you enjoy the process, that's when real understanding happens You can absolutely do this! And I'll be here cheering for you the whole way with me At first, learning without grammar or translation might feel a little strange but if you keep watching and repeat often you'll start to see real progress slowly but surely just like many of my students have So, let's enjoy this journey together Trust the process and like the name of this series says let's learn Korean with curiosity, joy and no pressure just like baby does And if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment or send us an email We're always here to help you So, see you in the next video 안녕!
