Purpose of Knowledge (Elm)

• Elm is intended to teach proper actions and conduct.
• Seeking new paths of elm helps learn new ways of acting properly in life.

Importance of Action

• Proper action is what is rewarded, not merely possessing knowledge.
• Knowing must lead to practical positive action to be considered beneficial.

Knowledge Without Action

• Possessing knowledge without practicing it is unhelpful.
  • Example: Knowing Tawheed of Allah without practicing it yields no benefit.
• Knowledge of virtues (morality, goodness, justice, benevolence, kindness, forgiveness, compassion, fairness) is meaningless if not practiced.

Reward and Afterlife

• Acting upon knowledge leads to rewards.
• Rewards for proper actions are ultimately in Jannah (paradise).

Role of Allah's Grace

• Action consistent with right knowledge (ill) is aided by Allah's grace.

Conclusion

• The ultimate aim of knowledge is to transform it into action, which is rewarded and leads to Jannah.
