uh it's numbered out here and there's uh let's see it's one and a half pages long there's five different uh little kind of sections here and we'll start with number one which is very short it's a little oneliner all right so number one the memorandum directs servicing human resources or human resources offices to begin reduction in force which is a riff planning as outlined below number two on March 4th 2025 the chief of staff provided guidance on the president's memorandum implementing president Trump's executive order 14210 implementing the president's Department of government efficiency Workforce optimization initiative there's a hyperlink we're moving on and office of personnel management guidance on agency riff and reorganization plans requested by by uh implementing the president's Department of government effici efficiency Workforce optimization initiative another hyperlink for the Department of Veterans Affairs VA officials as outlined in executive order 14210 president Trump directed all agency reduction enforce and reorganization plans are to be submitted 30 days from the date of the executive order which is March 13th 2025 the review will take several months with the published plan expected in June 2025 follow the review following the review VA will initiate Department wide riff actions riff again reduction in force number three in planning for riff or reorganization hro which is the human resource offices and the office of the chief human capital officer will take the following steps uh there's uh they're lettered out here and it goes to letter J we're going to read through these a complete processing of all deferred resignation program elections B identify approval authorities for riff actions C cease all cease any changes to organization charts or or planned reorganizations unless authorized by the under secretary assistant secretary or key official for the organization the established uh competitive area for arrp is VA yde um which I think was uh I can't remember a a r uh a RRP what is that that was the agency reduction and reorganization plan all right moving on uh let's see coordinate recruitment actions for Exempted positions with established Rift team e communicate opportunities for employees to accept voluntary reassignments to exempt occupations and post to internal job boards VA wide F establish a separate retention register for non-competing employees uh which uh is reemployed uh an Nuance uh temporary and team employees consult management officials and or supervisors uh regarding justifications for employees to remain or confirm the date of Separation G create rosters identifying employees eligible for voluntary early retirement Authority which is Vera V A during calendar year 2025 H confirm the accuracy of all competitive levels within the components or subcomponents all right I is update and correct employee records and data fields in HRS HR smart to include appointment time tenure Veterans Preference position description Service uh computation date bargaining unit status and past three performance ratings within the last four years J which is the last one here and then we'll get to the next uh two lines so uh Implement riff support functions uh so that would be outplacement guidance records retention and Reporting employee benefits uh uh advisory Etc all right number four is to assist with implementing the workforce optimization initiative uh o hco will submit to OPM a department wide request for Vera and voluntary separation initiative payment number five is if you have any questions regarding the memorandum you can contact uh the author uh if your organization needs to uh needs assistance with riff policy you can contact another person with their email address if your organization needs assistance with data and reports you can contact another person and their information so with that that is the actual full memorandum uh excluding only a couple pieces uh from the VA with regard to the supposed 80ish 83,000 is I've seen as high as uh positions to be uh eliminated love to get your thoughts my you know here's my question uh it's and this is an interesting little piece here remember that about a year ago a little less than a year ago the VA stated uh that they were fine with their budget no issues no requests good to go then they came back they the VA and said hey we're short 122 billion for essentially healthcare VA Healthcare VHA then I don't know probably I can't remember when maybe October November of 2024 the VA came back again and said well we're not really short 12 billion it's it's like half that maybe six or seven billion that we going to be short for VHA Healthcare we need uh this money by December uh 20124 to be allocated so we can continue uh moving forward well now there's approximately 80,000 uh uh positions that are going to be eliminated that should probably take care of that uh shortfall so I wonder if there's any correlation with that um uh with that number so interesting uh little aspect there love to get your thoughts on all this please uh put your thoughts in the comments I'd love to see what you say have a great one and remember if we don't take care of each other something went wrong
