Curly Hair Middle Part Hack

3 million views later here we are My Tik Tok has blown up overnight after posting that video where I showed you guys that I finally got rid of my middle part and like I'm able to move my curls around to completely hide any scalp or any sort of leftover middle bar that I might still have I cannot believe how many comments I've been getting requesting me to do a tutorial And I know it's been a while I am finally here and I'm going to show you step by step exactly what I did to get rid of my metal part It's not even been that long since I posted my last YouTube video about the first time when I ever attempted getting rid of my middle part I feel like this video is going to be so much better because not only have I perfected these steps because it's already been like almost 2 months but also I've gotten a curly cut in this time and now I have so many layers They're so short that honestly it's going to do so much justice to trying to camouflage the middle part So let's get to it My hair is freshly washed It's a frizzy mess I'm not even sure how to call it It's still cute but I'm going to go rewet it and I'm going to be back Honestly the spray bottle for me is a must because my hair gets dry super quickly after I come out of the shower and I always need to you know have something handy so that I don't keep going back into the shower So now that my hair is dripping wet and it is brushed I'm going to be applying my leave-in conditioner And the leave-in conditioner that I use is the Redken All Soft Mega Curls Hydromelt Treatment I'm going to be using honestly I don't even know how much to tell you guys to use because I have like longish hair I'm just mixing it in my hands and I'm putting it like a bit away from the roots but at the same time throughout the whole length I keep like adding more and more Maybe I'm using too much but I really think that having a lot of leave-in conditioner is one of the reasons why my hair doesn't get frizz But don't get me wrong I do love myself some frizz I just feel like you don't have to compromise And this is something that you guys were saying in the video that went viral on my TikTok that my hair is proof that you can have definition and volume at the same time And honestly I feel like I've really mastered the perfect balance between keeping as much definition as possible while having as much volume as possible I'm not the type of person that wants to give up on either of them This routine I think is achieving both of them And when I see some like dryish patches I just wet them back Oh my god so much hair coming off you guys But that's all right Okay so now that I've applied the leave-in conditioner it's time to section the hair before we start applying any of the other products The first section that I'm going to be doing is gonna be the top I'm gonna find the arch of my brows and basically do like a U shape And that's going to be like the top section that we're going to be starting last Doing this I'm doing it with my nails My nails are quite sharp I don't know if it's a U shape but I think you guys get the gist of it I'm going to be brushing it before I put it away And you can see how like hydrated the curls are already just by me putting the leave-in conditioner And this top one is going to be the one that we're going to be styling it a little bit different than the rest of my hair I'm just going to get a crocodile clip and clip it away Because I have a lot of hair I'm going to be sectioning the rest of my hair into two So I'm just going to be going right here where my eyebrows are and split my hair into two equal parts I'm just going to take this clip clip this away I'm going to start with the bottom part I feel like it's getting dry really quick so I'm just going to spray a bit more water at the roots By spraying the water I'm just ensuring that I'm going to have like really defined curls I'm going to be taking a little bit of my Weed Advanced Climate Control Feather Light Styling Cream And I'm going to be putting a little bit of this because we've already put leave-in conditioner and we don't need to have like so so so many creamy products But I feel like a cream and a leave-in conditioner really helps me get like that really hydrating shiny effect to my hair brushing the product throughout And now you guys the star of the show is going to be the bounce curl define brush Game changer I have no words for it It basically does the work for me Before I used to have to take sections like this and do this with my hands and my hands wouldn't create that tension I'm so happy to finally have a discount code for you guys If you use the code at 10 at checkout you can get 10% off of your bounce curl order And you can find the link for this particular defined brush in the description below I'm going to take vertical sections I just kind of put it as close to the root as possible and I pull it away And my curls are getting into those ridges And then I shake it And you don't even have to scrunch it but you could if you wanted that extra boost I hold it like here to make sure that I don't drag it [Applause] down I'm just going to be giving it a quick little scrunch Hear that if I don't then it feels like my hair is drying too fast And see how there's like no defined like middle line here is because I didn't fully section them equally on the middle When people like look at you from the back they just see your little hair split in the middle It's horrible Okay now I'm going to take off this part and I'm going to be doing the exact thing I'm going to be taking like the most further back section I'm not going to pull it like and style it towards the front I'm going to pull it and style it like this Keeping it in mind that it's a back section I'm gonna shake it [Music] [Applause] [Music] Shake I know it may seem complicated but it's something that becomes like almost a second nature Now I'm just going to be scrunching it Do you hear this oh this is perfect Honestly if it doesn't look good like I must sound like such an idiot But I feel like it looks really good from the back Okay so now we reached the top section And it is the top section that is going to be the most crucial The one where I'm going to be showing you exactly how I managed to get rid of my middle part I'm going to be unraveling it Rewetting it brushing it again putting the hair cream in About this much I feel like I need more hair cream especially in my front sections which are a lot more dry Make sure I mix the products See how hydrated they are the key in styling this section is to kind of have your hair all in the front And I'm going to be taking horizontal sections so sections that make my brush stay like this You can use like the sharp end of your bounce curl brush or you can use your fingernails I'm going to just be using this I start with the back and I go with a section of this thickness I go all the way to the root Make sure that my hair is all the way in the brush that it doesn't sit like that And then I pull away and towards the front And I hold my other hand here Then give it a bit of a shake You can give it a squish as well I don't squish these sections but you can to encourage more curl And then I drop it in the back And try to hold your head like quite in the center because if you hold it more to the side like these will bend more to one side or the other I'm just going to be repeating it all the way to the front And the thickness of the section depends of how thick you want the curl clumps to be Go all the way to the root Shake Throw it back Throw it back Another [Music] [Applause] section This way of styling I swear it makes your middle part disappear Like it's not worked perfectly the first time I did it but honestly with more practice I feel like that is just what happens Do you see like there's no middle part forming right now And there's gonna be no middle part forming because of the way I do this And I take this front section And look how nice they curl So bouncy And now I'm going to be taking my favorite light hold gel which is the bounce curl light hold cream gel I'm going to put quite a lot of it to be fair Mix it in my hands Glaze it over what we've just worked so hard to do Put more I love this product so much It literally feels like water Glaze it over what we've done and squishing it You don't have to use as much as I use I need to feel like it locks in my curls We are almost close to the end I can see like a tiny bit of a middle part forming in the first like inch of my hair And if I completely want to avoid that I could go back and finger twist some of them But I'm not worried you guys because even though there might be like some sort of middle part visible right now I trust this routine and I know that it's going to be fine And the last product that I'm going to be using is going to be a mousse for volume So I'm going to be using the Bumble and Bumble BB Curl Mousse And this is going to ensure that I'm going to be getting so much volume Okay Pushing my hair down going all the way into the roots The rest of it I'm just going to be glazing it on top of my hair I'm going like on the outside but I'm also going on the inside and then just scrunch it The styling part is officially done I make sure that I hold my hair like this You can definitely see like a tiny bit of a parting and you can see my front part Diffusing process is going to be very important um do have a video already showing you guys exactly how I diffuse for maximum volume while also trying to maintain the length of my hair because this is also something that is quite important for me when I do my hair is to preserve the length of it while making sure that like the top part is super big and voluminous So if you guys want to check out that in-depth video on how I diffuse you can check it out there The whole time I'm going to be basically diffusing it mostly with my head down So that way there's going to be like even less chance of the middle part forming And then one of the most important parts is going to be after the diffusing process I'm going to show you exactly the tools that I use to make sure that the middle part has no chance of forming I'm going to go diffuse and I'm going to come back later So my hair is about 70% dry And now I just basically flip my hair over and I want to show you guys how it looks now and what tools I'm going to be using to make sure that the middle part is not coming back that I'm going to have like a lot a lot of volume and I'm not going to be able to see any scalp So right now this is how it looks Bear in mind that I didn't shake it yet and it's day one So this is as flat as it can be which is still a lot of volume guys Like do you see there's there's a lot of volume for no shaking whatsoever I want to move you guys a bit closer to show you how nice and voluminous it is and how extremely defined it is Like I cannot find look at these spirals Maybe there's like these bits that are a tiny bit frizzy but can you find any bit that is properly frizzy it looks incredible I also wanted to say that my hair has never been as curly at the root as it's been since I've been using the bounce curl brush I really think that it's helped a lot because the way I use it and these ridges start defining the hair from the root and this is I feel like what gives this definition at the root I honestly I'm super happy with how like the spirals start so high up Just by checking it now you can't really see a middle part There's like a sort of zigzag And what I'm going to be doing right now is I'm going to be using some hair clips And these are bounce curl like volume root clips I think that's how they're called They're amazing I love them so much I'm going to leave you the link in the description The way I use them is to make sure that my hair stays voluminous while I'm air drying from 70% dry to 100% dry Because now that I'm just going to be air drying it I don't want it to lay flat When I diffuse it I ensure that my hair is upside down most of the time which makes sure that the hair gets volume But now that I'm just going to be air drying I can't keep my hair like head upside down for the next hours I have to go out I have to do some things But until I go out I'm just going to be using these clips to help my hair fight against gravity and against it pulling it down So the first clip is going to be very intentional because see how I have this like front bit i want it a tiny bit shorter So I'm going to be kind of finding the front that I like and I do want to kind of keep in the front And I'm going to be taking this hair clip and pushing it all up And see how it like lifts these spirals I'm going to make sure that like there's no middle part And then I'm going to be taking the second clip and pulling it all the way You want to be very careful with the third clip because I don't want it to like make the back section crooked So I'm just going to be taking this back section and clip clipping it like that Okay So now that I have the volume clips in I'm going to let my hair air dry until it's 100% dry And I'm also going to show you guys how my hair looks like tomorrow after I've slept on it with my bonnet on and how incredibly voluminous it looks like the day after I'm back My hair is quite dry now About 90% dry The second that I take these clips out I always notice that my hair literally is not going down because it's basically dried in that like voluminous state You can immediately see that even the fronts that were like a bit looser and longer have already shrunk I mean obviously the shape is weird but the second I'm going to shake it out you're going to see that it's going to look really nice Okay I don't shake out with I don't put oils when I scrunch and shake out my hair I know a lot of people do I don't do it I don't like oil in my hair but I am open to trying new oils So if you guys have any recommendations then please let me know in the comments below For scrunching I literally just take my bare hands and very gently scrunch out any gel cast Also I'm obsessed with the definition Like the curls are looking insane I'm going to put my hands in my roots and I'm going to give it a really really good shake but without like pulling it out I'm just going to keep my hands in my roots I feel like when I shake like this it activates the mousse that I put at the roots It mixes it all in the roots and it makes the hair literally like 10 times more voluminous Let's see what we're working with Yes Literally this is what I'm talking about guys Look at this insanity of volume I lift these sections I shake Lift the sections Shake And you know what we don't really have a middle part What I had to do the first times when I was like doing this routine where I would still see a middle part was that I would have to basically take these like curls and move the clumps maybe one on the other side and the one right after it to the other side and it would create some sort of like zigzag sections and it would just you know train my curls to stay on different sides and to blend in that middle part and I feel like I've managed to blend it out quite well I do have to say that the curly cut is also really really important Like you see how I have really short layers here and some face framing pieces This helps my middle part to be very like well covered because there's a lot of volume in my hair This is day two Basically all I did was take my hair out of the bonnet and give it like a really good shake And I did that upside down And I just wanted to show you exactly how it looks like This routine is literally tailored to give you as much volume with basically no middle part If you have any questions please drop them in the comments below And if you have any requests of videos that you want to see next then please let me know down below And thank you so much for watching Have a good day Bye
