Exploring the Loudest Sounds in Minecraft

Today I'm going to find out what the loudest sound is in Minecraft, so I can use it to torture my friends later in the video. Minecraft has plenty of loud noises for us to test. But first, we need to find something to compare to. This is a screw gun. It's the loudest tool I could find in the 5 seconds I spent looking in my closet. We also need a way to properly measure volume. So, I downloaded a random decel meter app on my phone. The screw gun measured at about 85 dB of volume, and I'm very curious to see if anything in Minecraft can beat that. But to keep it as fair as possible, I'll max out all of my volume settings as well. Let's try just breaking blocks to get a baseline of what the Minecraft sound looks like. I can't believe just breaking blocks already got us to 50 dB. This is kind of crazy about how loud this game is. The first thing I want to try today is the classic Minecraft 3000 iron doors. This is actually very easy to set up. If you just point two observers at each other, they make a very loud and annoying door. However, instead of the observers, if we use a comparator, flip it, and then point it back at itself with the redstone dust subtracting one each time it moves, it rapid fires and goes like so much faster. And it's way worse. And oh boy, this is already getting annoying. It's kind of difficult to space out the doors in a way to maximize how close they are because I need multiple doors really close to me for it to matter. But there's plenty of other things we can use this redstone for. I also changed it to a lever to make my life easier. But real quick, I'm really hungry and I want ice cream. So if you play mobile games like I do, you know how annoying it can be to play competitive games on a small buggy phone. That's why this video is sponsored by the new Red Magic Pro 10 Air gaming phone. Even though this new edition is only 7.85 mm thin, it still offers a comfortable grip and exceptional power for such a slick device. My favorite thing about these Red Magic phones is the 120 Hz refresh rate on the 6.8 in AMOLED display. It makes every game feel so much smoother and much more responsive. It also has a 93.7% screen to body ratio, which is always nice. This thing also hosts dual 50MPP cameras, two shoulder triggers, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with 3.3 GHz speed. They also have customizable global crosshairs, sound EQ, and an anime girl virtual assistant named Mora. Even with all of that, a 6,000 millia battery with 80 watt fast charging and liquid metal ultra fast cooling, it's still surprisingly lighter, slimmer, and more powerful than old models. The new Red Magic Pro 10 Air comes in three colors, and I personally think this flare design looks awesome. Let's check out how it runs Minecraft Pocket Edition. Oh, you guys wouldn't believe how good I am at Minecraft. Make everything max all the way up. This looks really good. Oh, yeah. I am shocked at how well this is running. Build a house. Oh, it's so beautiful. Check out the super powerful yet portable Red Magic Pro 10 Air gaming phone in the description below. For example, we wanted to get some bells, which I'm I'm pretty sure these also work with redstone. Yeah. Okay, they do. Just place some of these around here. Pretty good. What if bells weren't the highest? Cuz I'm pretty sure there's something else that is equally loud. Although, I'm pretty sure they actually lowered the noise of pistons recently. But, um, in case I'm wrong, we'll see how loud these are. That's not right. Okay, here we go. Nope, not the pistons. They're surprisingly quiet now. Good job, ming. Next up, we got some dispensers. Nope. I didn't expect those to be loud, but we got to try them anyways. And then here we have note blocks. And I may as well put them all the different tunes, you know? Maybe it'll make a difference, maybe it won't. Who knows? I have no idea. Let's find out. Nope. I also tried walking around to different ones and they all seem to have the same decibel. So, good try. But why don't we try some things that have nothing to do with redstone. So, let's get a command block. And we will set block. We'll just go like 10 above. That should be fine with anvil. And if we press this button, that didn't seem that bad. You know what? What if we get a bunch of them, put blocks over them so they have something to fall on and they don't disappear on the redstone? That was a little better. All right, let's try this. Interesting. So, even though we have more sounds going on, it's not actually increasing the amplitude because our character can only hear things within a certain radius. So, if we add more anvils, we can only hear the ones that are close to me. But, you know, it is loud and very startling every time it happens in survival mode. The level up noise sometimes is like shockingly loud for some reason. I can't be the only one that thinks this. like it's it's pretty loud. So, here, this command will constantly summon XP orbs that have a very high amount of XP in them. Let's go grab some and see what happens. Man, I really thought this one would be super loud, too. It's time to bring out the big guns. The big guns. The The Skullk Shrier. The Skullk Shrier. I don't know. Do the diagonals activate? Okay, they do. How many of these can I link to one sculpt sensor? Are these powered? Okay, if I stand back here and I walk. Okay, it does power those. Okay, do these ones power? They do. That's kind of crazy, actually. Is it just a range from the skull sensor? All right, let's try this. Let's try this. A lot of these are starting to be pretty much the same volume, but I wonder if there's something that can go just a little bit further. Actually, you know what? Maybe we don't even use TNT. Maybe we use mine carts. That might be better. But to make this easier, I'm going to show you guys a glitch I use. You know how in Minecraft if you hold down a letter key when you're typing, it spams it in the chat? Well, if you set your right click to a letter key, it does the same thing. If you guys look at this E number in the top left, that's how many entities I've placed so far. Five. That should be plenty. I just skipped him a little push. Oh, that's not good. I'll try normal TNT just for the sake of the video, but I really don't think it's going to be any different. Here is a lot of TNT. Let's go down a little bit. Activate that one. Fill it back up. And let's check this. Oh, it launched me too high. Okay. Yep. Once again, not nearly as impressive as I would have thought. That's so sad. Something we can do Oh, wow. My game is laggy. Something we can do is make like a weird little like V shape. Get some powered rails right here. Run them along the top. We probably want to actually power one in the middle right here. And then we can put some walls. And then if we change our controls back to our e-click thing, we can just put a bunch of minecarts here. All right, there we go. 14. And let's just give them a little nudge. pretty good, but not exactly what I was looking for. All right, let's move on to some more technical ones, cuz those are probably going to be the ones that are louder. One of the sounds that always like jump scares me every time it happens is that like super fancy advancement you get in the top right up here for like really hard advancements. They're like really important ones give like a super special noise that's really loud and jarring. And I think that one's probably quite loud. So, the first thing I thought of was the netherite armor advancement. So, this first command block is going to revoke that advancement from us so we can get it again multiple times. And then these are going to apply armor to us. And I don't remember actually if you get the advancement for just holding netherite armor or equipping it. So, I'm also going to give myself a Netherite helmet and we can equip it ourselves. So, we'll see what happens. Man, surely something in this game is louder than a drill, right? Surely something. So, the next thing I thought of was to use the slashplay sound command to just play the sounds directly as loud and horrible as we need them. So, if I look through here, Minecraft has a lot of noises, and I went through and picked the ones that I thought sounded the loudest. So, let's give them some tries. This one is the ghast worn sound. That one's pretty good. Here is the wither death. Not as big as I expected, but we'll move on to wither spawn. Oh yeah, that one's totally not it. And then here's the one that I initially thought of immediately when I had the video idea, which is the Ender Dragon death sound. This has to be the loudest sound in the game, right? I should also clarify the volume here is set to one because even if I set it to 100,000, the max is one. So it really doesn't matter if it's at 100,000 or one. One is the highest volume. I'm realizing a lot of these sounds aren't actually that loud. They're just kind of like jarring, if that makes sense. Like if you're just playing survival and you hear that, it makes you jump. Not because it's loud, because it's like weird and unexpected. But speaking of loud. Oh, wait. What's this one? Oh, warden emerge. Let's not skip warden emerge. Yeah, that one's okay. But I realized there's something I can change, which is that what if the sounds are repeating? Oh boy, this is going to hurt. Okay, that one really wasn't that bad. Um, here we have wither death. That one was a little bit better. But next we have bat hurt. That's crazy. I mean to be fair that certainly hurt my ears. So that adds up. Uh here we have portal ambient. Nah, that one wasn't it. But gas hurt. This one so far I feel like has been the best. I don't remember if it was louder than the bats, but I have a feeling gas hurt is the contender for the loudest one. Let's see. Yes, I think this one is by far the loudest one we've had so far. The gas hurt is almost the same as a drill. I did pitch it up actually. Let's try a normal pitch. Okay. No, pitched up gas. And uh again, two is the highest you can go. You can't go to 0.1, but you can go to 0. Two is the highest pitch. Next up, we have a dolphin death. Ow. Okay, so these two so far are definitely the loudest ones. I'm going to put a block above them so I remember. These two, I think, are both 83, although the dolphin seems more consistent. So, this might actually be our winner so far. Uh, here we have Elder Guardian Curse. I've heard worse. Next up, Fox Death. This one's probably bad. It hit the same peaks as Ghast Hurt did, but it was much less consistent. So, I say we move on from that one. Phantom Death. I don't actually remember this sound. a strong 80. And then finally, Warden Death was the last like super loud one I found. All right, so I think so far our two contenders for the absolute loudest sound in Minecraft are gas hurt pitched up and dolphin death pitched up. And trust me, I did try all these other ones with different pitches, too. I also tried pitch down and everything and it didn't really make a difference. But these two are the worst. Let's get Let's get the other ones out of here. You didn't make it. These ones are the winners. So, even though these two have like the exact same decibel readings, I want to figure out which one's more annoying and obnoxious, and that's the one I'll use to torture my friends with. So, let's try gas again. Pretty bad. And dolphin. Hm. They're pretty similar. I'm I'm leaning towards the dolphins. But what if I use both? Okay, I think the dolphins win. I think dolphin death is the loudest sound in Minecraft pitched up in terms of decb. It is two dB off of my real life power drill. So, I think we're going to use this one. You have entered my chamber. Sorry. You have entered my chamber. Oh, that's better. Yep. There we go. Okay. I see I see a lever. Is this one of those escape rooms? Three blocks back. Three and a half with that. That's going to be math equation part of it. What's the width here? I'm going to write something on the back of this sign. 105. Nobody knows what that means. No, I play Zelda. I'm looking around. I'm just going to walk forward and and assume that this is All right. You press the lever. I'm sorry. Oh my god. Oh my god. My car is not this loud. Loud. I have to do a triple down. I can't do this. How do I turn it off? Do I have to complete the parkour quest? Is this impossible? I don't remember the lineup. I don't remember the lineup. My sensitivity is off. I have to change my sensitivity. No, I can't do a triple D. What? Can you turn off the noise? I can't hear you. I don't think I don't think I'm ready for the noise. Can you turn off the light? I don't think I'm supporting for this, please. But I cannot jump over there. What? I could jump over there. Oh god, this is so loud. Oh my god. I did one of these a week ago. I promise. I promise. Ah, Misty, I can't do it. I can't do it. I can't hear you. Ow. What? Help. You know, I should really immerse myself by putting it at a 100%. Let me try that. Uh, never mind. I regret pressing the lever. I really regret it. I really regret it. No, I don't believe. Hold on. Wait. There's got to be a way around this. Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. Make it stop. Oh my god. Oh my. Don't tell the event people. I did this once. Hold on. This is why I like to call it glitch. She thought of everything. I don't know how to turn it off. I don't know how to turn it off. I don't know how to turn it off. It's pretty easy. You just kind of line up for the triple nail. Uh-huh. And you just kind of God, it's so loud. I need to lower my volume. I cannot hear my own thoughts. It's so loud. I'll play it through my microphone so you can't get around it. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. Let me out. Here. Let me Sorry. What' you say? Yes. Okay. Thank you. What? No. Is there a secret little button I can press? One of these is a door. Wait. Is there a barrier? Let me look around real quick. Let's see if there's barriers. Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. Okay. You cheeky cheeky little Misty. There we go. Done. Okay, good job. You did it. What? Cuz this is six blocks, you little de. I wouldn't give you the wrong triple Neo setup. What do you mean, you little rat? I can hear my own thoughts. You did it. Ow. No, that was awful. That was so bad. Oh. Oh, I missed. I'm not very aware of my surroundings. Oh, free switch, too. So, if you hear a ringing, that's not part of the video. You just need to have a doctor look at that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, I'll I'll I'll contact you in two to three business weeks if it's still persistent. Sure. Sure. Yeah. Just let me know. You have your guys talk to my guys. They'll get it all figured out. Mhm. All the regulations, all the forms I signed preemptively was was all for this. Got it. Yeah. I already have like four copies of your signature for whatever I need them for.
