locations you should consider checking into in Tokyo and why they might be perfect for you I'll be giving each a star rating plus I'm going to share one huge mistake later on in the video you don't want to make when you book your steak let's get into it number one Shinjuku consider the heart of the action if you want to feel like you're stepping into the P of Tokio with it NE lights chinuku is where you need to be it's super convenient with one of the busiest train stations in the world TS of shopping nightlife in capucho and even quiet escapes like shinuk kugon National Garden if you're a night hour or a first time to Tokyo or anyone who loves vibrant City energy this is a place for you stay near the station for easy access but if you want peace and quiet consider West Shinjuku near the skyscraper District although Shinjuku Lively atmosphere might feel overwhelming for older Travelers or families with young children number two Asaka Tokyo's traditional charm head here for a taste of old school Tokyo asasa is unbeatable you've got the the iconic s sodi Temple a Riverside Vibe and lots of local street food with plenty of nearby walkable spots like weno Tokyo Sky Tree and even akiabara at a push history Buffs families and anyone looking for more relaxed cultural experiences will love staying here asakasa is quieter at night so it's perfect if you want to unwind after a day of exploring but asakasa can be a little bit far for exploring some of the other spots in Tokyo number three Shibuya Tokyo's Young trendy and iconic location when you think of Tokyo Shibuya Crossing probably pops into your head so staying in Shibuya puts you in the middle of Tokyo's useful trendly culture you'll find tons of restaurants shops and night life plus easy access to Harajuku and omot Sando so if you like trendy things or you're a foodie or live for shopping this is your area I personally love Shibuya scramble Square for breathtaking views of the city there's a QR code here if you want to help the channel out and get your early tickets to shuya Sky just saying chuya caters for younger Travelers with trendy accommodations though options can be pricier and fewer in number than other areas number four ueno culture on a budget if museums parks and affordability are your priorities weno is calling your name and if you've been following my channel for a while then you'll know how much I love staying in this area you've got to eneno park the national museum and a more local Vibe with lots of isayas and Street Markets perfect for for culture enthusiasts families or anyone traveling on more of a budget heno is also a great base if you plan to take day trips with easy access to the shin Canen and a direct line to Marita airport hey you don't need to subscribe but it is actually quite shocking how many of you think that you're actually subscribed but actually aren't over 85% to be precise so help the channel out or not I just hope the content is useful number five Ginza four l y lovers if your trip to Tokyo is all about high-end shopping find dining and luxury Ginza is the ultimate destination you'll be surrounded by Flagship stores melin stared restaurants and a more sophisticated Vibe so luxury Travelers shopaholics or anyone who loves a quieter upscale experience will love Ginza even if you're not staying here visiting Ginza in the evening when the street lights are lit is a must although there are fewer budget friendly options it's not impossible to find but there are plenty of luxurious days number six akiabara otaku Paradise known as a center of otaku culture akiabara is perfect for anime manga and gaming enthusiasts it's also a fantastic spot for Unique electronic shopping and quirky experiences like made cafes solo Travelers and young visitors who love pop culture and Technology will find their Vibe here but families might find it less appealing unless they share similar interests Hotel choices might be fewer than areas like Shinjuku number seven ikuro home to Sunshine city ikuro is an underrated area with great shopping dining and entertainment at sometimes more affordable prices it's also home to Sunshine city which includes an aquarium Planetarium and shopping mall with the world's largest gacha pun store families badget Travelers and those seeking a quieter is but still lively alternative to Shinjuku or Shibuya will enjoy staying here now number eight Rob bongi International Vibes and nighti Rob bongi is famous for its NTI International dining scene and upscale attractions like rongi hills and Tokyo Midtown it's a Hab for xats which isn't for everyone and offers a more westernized Vibe ra pong's nlife and international scene cater primarily for younger Travelers and experts making it less ideal for families or older visitors but rongi does offer many hotels and accommodation options number nine odba Tokyo's futuristic Waterfront Escape odba offers futuristic attractions familyfriendly entertainment and Scenic Waterfront views is great for a more relaxed experience with easy access to theme parks and museums families couples and anyone looking for a slower Pace compared to Central Tokyo will enjoy this Hub personally I feel it's a little bit out of the way to the rest of what Tokyo has to offer if you're more of an Explorer like me but if you are a family who simply need a base and will take a slower Pace this might work out for you number 10 Tokyo Station or the marinucci area business meets convenience of travel it sometimes feels like all roads lead to Tokyo station making this the gateway to the rest of Japan via the shin Canton and offering a blend of convenience luxury hotels and historical charm with its Red Brick Station building although more of a business Travelers Hab older visitors and anyone planning to take day trips or travel between cities will find Tokyo Station area convenient Tokyo station is practical though it might feel more businesslike than Lively Tokyo Station area has a huge choice of hotels and accommodation for all budgets okay these are 10 relatively well-known areas but I'm going to be adding some wild cards to the list for you to consider number 11 sugamo known as Grandma's Harajuku sugamo is a peaceful nostalgic areer with strong focus on traditional culture and wellness it's perfect for those looking for a slower Pace with his famous jodor shopping Street and Temple the neighborhood offers a relaxing old school charm that feels like stepping back in time older Travelers seeking a quiet to stay solo Travelers and families interested in traditional Japan and anyone looking for a calm base close to Central Tokyo will find this to be a good spot to stay at number 12 hammer matuch gateway to Tokyo and Beyond hamama mat chore is a convenient and modern District located near Tokyo bay making it an excellent base for exploring Tokyo and traveling Beyond home to the iconic Tokyo Tower easy access to the Serene hamaru Gardens and a variety of dining options it also has direct access to HED Airport via the Tokyo monil and Jr yamot lines ensures seamless connectivity this area has mid-range hotels with a good selection of business accommodations but it's less suitable for those seeking a lively tourist Centric neighborhood it's quiet convenient setting makes it perfect for those on the go number 13 gotanda a Hidden Gem with easy access gotanda is a lesser known area with excellent Transportation links offering a more local laid-back atmosphere compared to more popular districts like Shibuya or Shinjuku it's a great blend of residential and commercial space featuring a variety of dining options parks and shopping centers the area has a good range of hotels from budget to mid-range making it accessible for both budgets wait a minute so you're in the middle of choosing where you're going to be staying and I'm going to be honest everyone is different and the beauty of Tokyo is that it's quite difficult to go wrong but my number one tip is to make your trip even more seamless by getting yourself some data like an eim or a pocket Wi-Fi to navigate so why not help the channel out by using Sakura mobile for your data needs at no additional cost to you number 14 Shin okubo Tokyo's Korea Town that feels like a secret extension of Shinjuku shinok kuo is a lively Multicultural area known for its Korean influence particularly in the realm of K-pop Korean food and culture the neighborhood is vibrant with colorful shops restaurants and a youthful energy offering a completely different experience compared to Tokyo's more traditional areas it's so close to shin U especially kucho making for a great base without the hectic crows of Shinjuku but families and older Travelers may find it a bit overwhelming due to its buzzling energetic atmosphere and finally number 15 shagawa the gateway to Japan's travel Hub I know I know this one's a little bit of a not ball kind of mainstream but also marginalized too shinagawa is one of Tokyo's key transport hubs offering easy access to both Central Tokyo and regions Beyond thanks to its direct gen Canon connection making it an excellent base for traveling to other parts of Japan including Kyoto Osaka and Hiroshima while it's a busy transportation area it is quieter and often considered a little bit too quiet or boring but tourists looking for convenience potentially cheaper Hotel options or those who want easy access to the airport will find this to be a good location so there you have it how how did I even come up with the ratings it's impossible to get everything right and I know everyone has their own opinion but when it comes to suitability I did research and use my own experience of either staying in some of these areas or my personal experiences visiting each and when it comes to transport links I know there's going to be comments about this but let me quickly break it down if the station has Direction Canon access then I give it a five out of five if the station has direct access to the yot line or a well-known Metro with direct access to either station or Shinjuku station then I gave it a four out of five and anything below would mean lesser transport options or longer Journey times away from well-known routs and now the huge mistake you really don't want to make don't book your stay without considering your transportation needs Tokyo is massive and while many areas are great you want to stay somewhere that's close to a train station and Center yourself around your itinery making a list of the main areas you're going to hit during your trip to Tokyo and taking your time to see how long your journey will take to each might become the biggest factor in choosing a base and hopefully this list will help you know what you're getting into so what area are you thinking of staying in let me know in the comments below and if this video helped then please don't forget to like
