taking notes stinks you know why actually why does it stink that's a good question I can't remember I think I wrote it down somewhere but I don't think I did was talking to myself about it and I wish I would have just wrote it down or had something else take notes for me instead of having me have to write it down because I just didn't think about it in the moment Bingo that was the most meta explanation of all time seriously taking notes in meetings it's not good we don't like it you know why it takes away from your cognitive function you're not thinking about the different ways that you can add to the conversation or improve on the concept that's being talked about in an online meeting when you're like huh oh sorry I was I was typing in my keyboard I couldn't uh I didn't get that what was that nobody likes this in conversation it is so so ridiculously silly and for me I'm a huge fan of these three no ticking apps two of them I actually do use and one of them I know most people use that one it's it's a weird situation but all three of these I will say are and you should check out first and foremost we have grain.com now grain is one of those products that you know when I go to the pricing page I see a pretty pretty great situation here $5 a month unlimited meetings yeah that's pretty great then business it turns into unlimited meetings with some higher level integration stuff and then we have the Enterprise level which is a little bit bigger yeah all of these come with AI notes and are truthfully amazing the way that all these different tools work is slightly different for this one it is essentially a tool where it connects to my calendar and then say I were to be in a meeting it ends up recording the meeting right and after that it adds it to my library so I can put this int right here and it'll end up just having all of the internal meetings that I have show up always eating on calls look at this dude walking around and eating look at me walking around and eating on calls just being disheveled people on my team cannot take me seriously I bet but in all seriousness this automatically does share to my slack which is really cool as you can see right here I did have some chats recently with people on the team and it showcases the key points automatically this can send out to various members on the team uh and it has a complete transcription of everything that's been set in the calls so it's like wow how could this be easier I don't know I don't think it could be right like this is is 12 out of 10 showcases who spoke I click on it I can change a speaker name there's a great summary to the left here I could add custom AI notes within here as well and I also can send this note to somebody by pressing on this to slack or a follow-up email whatever it is you got a cool little timeline that showcases everything showcases how I talk the majority of the time in comparison to everyone on the team and I could also leave comments and add highlights by selecting them the way that this guy works though is that inside of a meeting all you have to do is set it to connect to a calendar and then if you are manually in a call that's a one-off only you have to do is uh copy the meeting ID at the end of this what's up and then paste this meeting ID in there and it would connect it if you have to manually do it so if I press record right here the recorder does join the call and it asks hey can can can you let me in that'd be that'd be nice um I'd appreciate it so then I'd press admit and then it becomes an automatic transcri subcriber that sits in the background almost as another person and I like it it's a pretty solid product for me I I enjoy the way that it kind of gives me great insights after calls now I also do have another transcriber that I have over here which is called tactic. I do make content for them on their YouTube channel I've made a couple sponsored videos on this channel about them I love the way they work obviously with the team but this is really cool because it is less invasive you know it doesn't spook people as much when there's like another person on the call that says I am recording with grain and this essentially works as a Chrome extension I literally just needed to download a Chrome extension and then from here it transcribes everything and I like this because it actually lets me reference what people said a couple seconds ago while on the call so I get to look back and be like oh missed what they said let me reread if they stop talking for a moment and then I get to continue the conversation looking like a more well prepared individual the back end of this one is pretty cool after you end up having a recording finish um you'll notice that there's a bunch of different meeting transcriptions when you open them it's like default meeting transcription and the dates it says it's who who it's recorded by and it has some labels on there like this is a recurring meeting private meeting if I had a custom link recording I could always add that from Google Drive the difference between tactic and grain for sure is that tactic is a text based thing whereas grain's got video attached to it tactic has a myriad of different Integrations that are great we're talking Google meet Team Zoom WebEx Google Drive so many different Integrations it's it's countless almost slack as well transcripts on this are really reliable too and they related meetings is a cool thing so essentially it automatically has all the recurring meetings in this string connected to it from tactic so I can see the last couple recurring meetings that we've had it automatically does highlight different things inside of the transcript as well like action items decisions showcases the speaker variants as well and if you have any specific questions about it you can ask a question here and there's even pre-made promps so I could say write an agenda for the next meeting and it would look at the transcript and go and figure out what exactly we should talk about next time which is great this is really cool so both of those two tools I use and would recommend however there's another tool that works very similar to grain where it adds itself as a little Zoom or meat or whatever type of products it works with from a call standpoint it joins as another person inside of fireflies AI basically the same thing pricing for tactic is $8 per month a little bit cheaper than than grain for unlimited meetings and the fireflies AI is also $10 per month so both of those are going to be a little bit more cheap however the minutes of storage per seat is interestingly different on the fireflies AI pro version but you get unlimited storage when you get to that business version and also get video screen capture as well so it is pretty similar to grain it's just a different option to be be honest I haven't found many differences between the two they all have good you know CRM zapier and slack Integrations right like I I will say they're all kind of in the same boat of working on improving their integration set and they're not crazy different I personally don't know of any of the other ones that have a mobile app so this is kind of cool that fireflies has a mobile app so if you're looking for that and you can transcribe your meetings kind of on the go that's pretty cool like with an audio recording don't really have that with the other products uh there's always workarounds for that though right but but this is this is a cool update as well fireflies also has the added benefit of seemingly being more popular than the other two like I see this one the most out of teams I come across and you know that kind of comes with more usage and maybe more features but I have found that all of these work really well anyone who's talked about these three tools have been like yeah works pretty well like this is not a space where people are you know vitriolically angry if there's not amazing updates right away like it's helping get rid of something that's so so annoying to do in call that it's a pretty positive uh experience overall so if for any of these tools you want to check out more about them I would definitely recommend videos we have on tactic and we're going of hopefully be making videos on these other two in depth more if you want to see content about your app where we talk about your app produce content for you or we help you with the editing kind of just getting you to the point where you're in a great place with content produced like this for your productivity app or nood duel make sure to check out the link down below rprod tocom content hyphen Services we'd love to help you out there and also if you're looking for more content on tools like this be sure to check out videos like that one for even more
