anyone who wants to measure progress cannot do it in one day you can only measure progress after a year or a five year or a ten year has happened for example if I tell you that that you are in 2010 and somebody comes and says in future you will be able to communicate wirelessly through touch screen phones using Google meet or zoom and it'll be seamless many people will not agree because the internet then was very slow the same way today if I tell you that you can make a lot of money from bioinformatics I know a lot of you will comment saying that it's not possible but the same way how it was not possible 10 years ago you and I believe in what's happening today the world is evolving place it doesn't wait for what's happening today scientists researchers and companies are stressing against time to achieve what has never been imagined and that is where today's video comes today I am going to tell you how can you as a researcher or as a bioinformatician can make a lot of money in the future and I'll try to give you eight to ten pointers pick whatever you like skip whatever you don't like but the bottom line is a lot of money can be made in the future if not some repetitive jobs but creative jobs not from regular wet lab jobs but from dry Labs software jobs and bioinformatics is one such tool which can help you fetch Millions from the market how you ask let's jump in the first point for today is developing software for bioinformatics so you can using your bioinformatics knowledge get a job or start your own company okay into developing software so before we actually jump on to the first point let me quickly tell you four approaches which you can have as a buyer information you can either teach by informatics you can either start a company in bioinformatics you can either become a programmer or a software developer in a bioinformatics company or you can invest in bioinformatics and sell databases okay so those are multiple approaches which you have so now coming to the first point which I said you can develop softwares and sell it to other companies or you can get a job in a bioinformatics company and develop softwares so that's my first point of the day now softwares for or tools for genome you know sequencing and Analysis it's a very popular field and it's growing exponentially every day so that is my first point now quickly jumping on to the second one now that is providing consulting services to various companies so as a bioinfermentation there are many startups across the globe who want to hire a bioinformations as a temporary basis so they can you can provide bioinformatics consultancy services to all these clients all these companies the third point is you can create genomic databases using bioinformatics tools and you can sell it to the people who are interested to buy so that's my third point you can in future create an uh genomic databases and sell it online using uh various online tools now the fourth point is developing personalized medicine and precision medicine so developing all this requires a lot of bioinformatics knowledge a lot of bioinformatics tools are involved so you can be involved in Precision medicine and personalized medicine and that's my point number five for you next point which I have for you is discovering new drug targets and molecules using bioinformatics tools so as you already know the covid vaccine was developed using bioinformatics so even vaccine you can help in developing drug molecules using artificial intelligence and bioinformatics so that also you can come together and do it so using bioinformatics you can develop a lot of drug molecules and that is going to be a game changer because in future there's going to be newer disease and there will be always a demand for a newer drug molecule and that is where you can contribute and make a lot of money and now coming to the next point which I have uh probably this is a sixth point for you identifying new Agricultural and Industrial biotechnology applications so using bioinformatics you can explore the world of Agriculture you can explore the world of biotechnology and look out for opportunities where bioinformatics tools can be applied and you can generate newer opportunities for yourself and your company and that is going to be amazing cross domain function of application of bioinformatics into agriculture now the next and final point for you which I would like to add here is while you can do all this you can start your own biotech or bioinformatics company you can start it with just a few open source softwares and knowledge of your open source softwares and a laptop with good configuration and you can start it right away you can provide consultancy services you can provide freelancing freelancing opportunities you can teach you can even start your own bioinformatics genomic Analysis company or consulting company so all that can be done and we you cannot do that unless you have information of
