Let's practice your English! Today I want to talk about my high school experience in America because that's a question I get asked a lot. Um, so, yeah, let's talk about it for a little bit. So, to start, I would like to say that I hated my high school experience here. Okay, guys, I freaking hated.
Well, but to talk about why I hated high school so much, I have to give you some context of why I hated, so... Let's go right into it. My my high school in Brazil My high school experience in Brazil was really really fun. I had so many friends.
I knew everybody I loved all of my teachers. I loved everything about my school. I was just happy happy happy happy and when I moved to America, I was so excited to go to high school because I thought it was gonna be like the movies.
I was like Okay, high school musical. Hello. It's gonna be really fun. It was not fun It was nothing like the dream I had it was quite a nightmare You know what? Why don't I just tell you all the tea?
Why don't I just tell you all the whole So my first year of high school was in Florida I went to you know, I lived in Florida for a year and a half before I moved to California and I Hung out with a lot of Brazilians because I was not confident with my English and I just I was so scared I didn't even want to learn at certain point I was just scared totally understandable and I hung out with a lot of Brazilians in which I'm still friends with Very few of them like very few but I just did not have a good time at that high school that I went in Florida I didn't meet the best people. I just Did not like it like I remember vividly My last day there when I, you know, was like about to move to California, my last day there, as soon as I opened those doors and I left, I just felt this like peace that I would never ever go back to that school ever again. And then I moved to California and high school here, honestly guys, it was very odd. It was very weird. It was very different.
Like, I didn't really make a lot of friends because at that time, I was already so, like, done with high school in general. Like, I was so done with the whole experience here. And then I made a few friends in which I'm still friends with them. Like, they're my best friends, but I actually became friends with them after high school.
Like, I met them in high school, but I became friends with them. And now they're, like, my family after high school. Whatever and so that's pretty much the basis of it. Okay. Now, let's go into the facts of I Got a call.
I'm filming a video So I Hated the fact that the teachers like in Brazil the teachers come to your classroom So you stayed in the same classroom like forever? That's pretty much it in America is different you go to the teachers room So you literally spent the entire freaking day just running around campus like that's pretty much it You just run around the whole time you keep switching classrooms You keep switching people and it's just the weirdest thing ever and I just hated that Hated another thing that I did not like was that literally, they don't have like important classes like geography history like Things like that are not like considered, you know, like an obligation. Like you don't have to take those classes. They're not needed. And that is why Americans are so, you know.
And that's why Americans are so not cool when it comes to asking geography questions. Like I. People that asked me if Brazil was in Africa That's probably because they don't take geography in high school like come on like what is wrong with you Whatever and another thing that I absolutely hated was um I Also just I just It was just so hard to make friends because you're always like switching classrooms So it's always like different people and it's just so hard to actually make friends and when you're a teenager You're already like a weirdo. You're already weird to make friends. It's already hard cuz you're teenagers Cuz you're I can't even talk to be a teenager is already hard.
It's already weird Okay, weirdo behavior like all teenagers are weird If you're a teenager and you don't think you're weird, I guarantee you're the weirdest one out there. And then, that whole system of having to switch classrooms the whole time and switching people, it just makes it even harder, okay? And, the language barrier that I had, okay? It was already super hard, so...
More of the story, it was just very hard to make friends and I just absolutely hated that, okay? And then by the end of my senior year, which is your last year of high school, I decided to do independent studies, which is basically you do high school at home. because I was basically graduated. I hated going to school.
I barely had any friends and I just wanted to stay home. And I was a pretty good student. Like I always had good grades.
So my family always trusted me in that. So I did that and it was the best decision I ever made. The best decision ever. Also, I graduated high school in 2020. So it was COVID. Yeah, so I didn't even have a graduation.
I didn't even have a graduation because of that, which trust me I don't care I know that a lot of people were you know, just like really sad over the fact that they didn't go to prom and it's Just like girl So, you know that there's a literal virus going around and you're worried about your prom dress. Yeah, kind of weird It was just like the weirdest thing ever. I hated high school.
I hated everything about it um, this is the first and last time i'm going to talk about this because High school. Whatever. I don't even have to worry about this anymore. I'm literally 22. I am so damn old But anyways guys, this is the video I know it was super random and I know that I might have gotten a little bit emotional talking about high school But now you know why now, you know my point and I haven't even started talking about the relationships The dating situation in high school. It was the weirdest thing ever Maybe I'll make a video talking about all the dates that I've been okay all of the dating situation Especially in high school because let me tell you something Like I said teenagers are already weird now put two teenagers in high school dating Weird anyways guys.
