Overview

This document provides instructions for logging into Blackboard at Lander University, including steps for setting up multi-factor authentication (MFA) for account security.

Logging into Blackboard

  • Access Blackboard via the provided university login URL.
  • Use your Lander username and password to sign in.
  • A "Forgot Password?" link is available for password recovery.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Setup

  • Download and install an authenticator app (Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, or Authy) to your phone.
  • Open the authenticator app and scan the provided QR code or enter the given key manually.
  • Copy the key if needed for manual entry into the authenticator app.
  • After setting up, click "Next" and enter the 6-digit code generated by your app to link it to your Blackboard account.
  • Once completed, MFA is enabled and required for future logins, especially on unfamiliar devices.
