[Music] because [Music] to take instructions to say hey who are you today so we gave a little bit of backdrop of what the shin and the wrest or shar that means prince so we can go to the next so remember where he says if my people which are called by my name will humble themselves and then if we read isaiah he continues to say my people my people my people and my name and those that are called by my name so maybe this was what he was talking about because in the yashar rail the yod represents yah you go to the next so we know that the shah represents a prince and then we know the last part which is the olive in the lamin represents authority or rl our elohim hallelujah go ahead and go ahead so all together this means the prince of yah has power with elohim remember we still means that he or those that will rule with yah so prince of yah has power with elohim or either yah's prince who has power with elohim so we want to make sure we just didn't come up with this in any way in our own volition we want to make sure that we have scripture that says that so we can go all the way back to the first part when jacob or yaakov was wrestling with the angel and when his name was changed to yasharel hallelujah so we gonna go so bear sheath or genesis 32-28 it says and he said your name shall no longer be called you a cold but yesharel but then it gives us the definition right after it says yesharel it says for as a prince for as a prince have you power with elohim so say that we are israel or yesharel we should know that we are yah's prince that we have strength with him and not only with him but with man so when we see stuff go in our way and we it goes in our favor somehow some way we need to recognize it is because of the strength and notice that he called him yasharel yeah akov didn't call himself yeshareo come on he got the attention of our elohim hallelujah so from now on when we say yasharel we're going to know it's just not the smooth or the upright ones but it's ones that reign as a prince that has power with elohim and with man so it's the reason why he sent us to go to the nations notice that it starts off with the yod the yod is the smallest of all the the hebrew letters but notice how yah always takes something small and he makes it great [Music] scripture talks about that that we were few in number that we were small that there was seven seven other nations mightier than us but yet he will deliver them to us he will deliver them to us and then it talks about that they will be utterly destroyed not just a little bit destroyed but utterly destroyed that's that that letter shin hallelujah but not just that so it's another breakdown of yasharel that is the deeper one that is the one that recognizes us who we are but we want to know why did yah call us yasharel why did he call us his prince hallelujah so we'll continue so we know that the yod is the hand the yod is the hand the yod represents the hand and probably the right hand because it's the strong hand hallelujah go to the next the shin shin means to press in order to turn so just like we got the shabbat we know that on the sabbath we rest but shabbat you have the shin and you have a bait so it means to press toward the house and when you put them together and shoot like teshuva to turn back to the house of the covenant so we got press as in turn so you got hand and then you got press that means to turn next fresh you have a hand hallelujah the next and then you have l put together aleph in linemen which represents strong authority or our strong shepherd so when you put it together in that sense you have the hand and turned the head of elohim [Music] so now you're talking about a real strong hand because not only did you have a hand how so we go to the scripture of what it really means so very sheath right before he called him yasharel verashi 32 and 26 said and he said let me go he being the angel and guess what yo kobe said i will not let you go until you bless me now that statement right there will make y'all do a double take that's the statement that made ya turn his head because hold on first of all you got the nerve to grab me and to grab hold of me and we rest so much that i tell you to let me go because it's about to be daybreak so i'm expecting you to let me go so i can go about my business but then you said i will not let you go now you saying this why are you holding me that's enough right there to make me turn my head so y'all turn his head like who is this and then you got two two verses later when he said you know what now you're my prince that he blessed them he blessed as his prince as his own so just think about that and he was so persistent didn't take no for an answer so now when we know where from we don't have to take no for an answer come on that yah called us his prince so much that we don't only rule with him that we say we got the power with elohim and with man and remember it said and they went and he went he prevailed at it there's way way way more to it but we'll we'll go over this and we'll add to it at a later time but i just wanted to to know because we quickly we're quick to say that we're israel but we don't really know what it means to be israel there's a portion of this mainly the wrestling portion that we need to to stop with but again this is the hebrew word of the week and we don't want to we don't want to go further than what we what we need to but it's going to come a time don't we no longer have to wrestle with him no more that we are recognized we are recognized as his people and that should be good enough for us to move on and do what he called us to do that's what it means to be yasharel that's what it means to have the old first work worship goals first when we have nothing in our hand except the power that he placed in it hallelujah hallelujah so who are we [Applause] who are we hallelujah hallelujah all right i think we're going to go ahead and call dr howard up hallelujah [Music] so [Music] so [Music] [Music] more beautiful than the scenery of worship [Music] worship is not a mere activity we cannot reduce worship to the lowest common denominator of liturgical practices worship is not merely the lifting of hands it's not limited to vocal expatiation worship is not even remotely close to clapping of hands and stumping of the feet [Music] worship [Music] is not what you do worship is who you are worship unto the most high [Music] is that which is acceptable and that which is holy [Music] let your lifestyle mimic and reflect [Music] the very hands that you're lifting does it reflect the song that you're singing or the praises that you are vocalizing [Music] worship exudes from your lifestyle hey muna typically ma in biblical language whatever any word ends in ma it denotes an action [Music] that yah is calling for your lifestyle to be indicative to the type of worship that he's looking for not just religious calisthenics not just a mere bound down what we call to prosecute nail [Music] and although worship had some elements that requires you to do [Music] worship is an instrument of the heart and they did worship me they must worship me and ruock and then he met not merely talking about the thing that pumps your blood not that heart but it's the mindset you're in it's the disposition you're in as mashiach speaks to the woman from samaria he said that merely worship [Music] has to proceed from the disposition that you're in your mindset cannot be on things that is antithetical of torah respect for it to be mere and pure worship hallelujah father who worship you [Music] we magnify you [Music] we just pause in this this moment in this posture [Music] to circumcise our hearts make sure that our hearts are indicative to the worship that you're looking for you're not just looking for worship that is holy [Music] or what man deemed to be holy [Music] you're looking for worship that is acceptable [Music] may our hearts bear lives may our speech may it be acceptable in thy sight [Music] our redeemer [Music] purge the hearts of those who are or in this room [Music] may you be the chief cornerstone may you be the objective of their life the life of david isn't merely about david [Music] it's about yah yahuwah as he works through the life of david may we never forget that our lives is not about ourselves [Music] but our lives it's about you yahuwah as you work through us abba as you navigate us through this journey of life may reflect the kingdom of israel may it reflect the values of israel may reflects the morality [Music] of israel more importantly may be reflection of your laws your statutes and your commandments purges them wash us and we should be wider than snow we would say this is yaz do we and it is marvelous in our eyes maybe walk the walk may we halaqa that is real worship [Music] hallelujah [Music] something about basking in his presence [Music] forevermore say what you want me to say [Music] do what you want me to do [Music] just let me walk with you [Music] just let me walk with you [Music] just let me [Music] no other place that is more cathartic and more therapeutic [Music] than in this posture in this space [Music] and it's in my presence there's fortis of joy [Music] where the ruach of yahuwah [Music] prophetically breathe afresh give us a second win but there's exasperation the need to give up may we hear that still small voice voice of the wind the voice of the ruach [Music] said it's legal to get tired but it's illegal to quit give us the fortitude the tenacity the wherewithal as the psalmist says to run through the truth and to leap over a wall greatest unfaithfulness yahuwah greatest thy faithfulness yahuwah great is thy faithfulness yahuwah hallelujah [Music] come on sing unto him [Music] [Music] [Music] that tap into that disposition that worship [Music] hallelujah [Music] just let me walk with you [Music] just let me just let me walk with just let me [Music] say what you want me to say do what you want me to do make you just let me walk with you just let me [Music] just let me walk with you [Music] just let me walk with you just let me walk with you just let me [Music] just let me walk with you [Music] let me walk with you [Music] hallelujah yacht strategically placed this moment and set it in motion and set it in time [Music] just for you this is the moment that you get the voice back [Music] you're able to hear his voice again whenever a sheep loses the voice of the shepherd [Music] the shepherd will single out the sheep isolates the sheep [Music] breaks the sheep legs places the sheep around his neck so that the sheep's ear can be close to the shepherd's mouth [Music] he retrains the sheep to hear his voice this moment prophetically things are breaking [Music] he's retraining you how to hear him again my sheep know it my voice and the stranger they will not follow you're getting a voice again you're gonna hear again stay in that posture [Music] seeing has been crossed against your door has made you insensitive [Music] and apathetical to hear the voice [Music] of yahuwah speaking speak y'all and the words of samuel speak y'all for thy servant here remove the distractions remove the things that have been impediments that crowd the space between me and you [Music] restore to me abba [Music] the joy of salvation remove the distractions remove the obstructions [Music] allow me to hear again allow me to hear again [Music] just to be close to you [Music] it's my desire [Music] you can have the accolades and you can have the notoriety you can have the luxurious things of this life if it comes down to it you can have my family but y'all one thing i ask for that one thing only take not my spirit away from me [Music] if i just want to be close to you that's my desire and one thing i desire and that one thing i seek after that is to dwell in the house of yahuwah all the days of my life to behold your beauty and to inquire into your temples just to be close to you [Music] of your [Music] be heart to you [Music] just to be close to you is my desire [Music] just to be close let that be your heart just to be close to you [Music] just to be close to you just to be close to you is my designer [Music] just [Music] [Music] is [Applause] [Music] i our desire yahoo and your response is you are close to me and i'll draw close to you [Music] draw close to me [Music] and i'll draw close to you [Music] it's our desire yahuwah to be close to you to seek you while you may be found to draw close to you while you are near that's our desire you can have the culture you can have the customs you can have what is trendy [Music] but our chief aim and our chief goal is to be close to you we teshuva we return back to a place where we walk with you with the cool of the garden we return back to a place where we heard your audible voice [Music] we returned back to our first love [Music] where there was a synergy between you and us [Music] that got the angel's attention the angelic beings begin to marvel at the manifold wisdom of yahweh [Music] to see this perpendicular relationship between humanity between the seed of yahweh and yahuwah that's our desire to yeshua to return back to that place back to that space back to that mindset back to that disposition back to that reality that's our desire that's our desire to draw close to you while you are near [Music] hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah [Music] hallelujah [Music] [Music] we don't because worship has happened worship is not response oriented [Music] we just don't worship because we heard a favorable doctor's report we just don't worship because [Music] we have entangled ourselves with the necessities of the cares of this world all of those things are secondary and that is inferior worship but superior worship [Music] [Applause] is not incentivized if he does nothing for me he still deserves the glory he still deserves the honor he still deserved the praise my worship is not predicated [Music] on the incentives of the most high i will not indict the most high because things doesn't work in my favor [Applause] because when you understand who you are before you were created to be a man or to be a woman to be a husband or to be a wife or to be a parent or to be a brother or sister you've been created for the express purposes of worship worship isn't conditional not predicated on what has happened but has not happened in your life joshua you've been created [Music] to let your light shine before men for one purpose and one purpose only they may glorify yahuwah which is in heaven hallelujah to the lamb hallelujah to the lion of yahudah hallelujah hallelujah to him who was who is and is to come hallelujah well shabbat shalom everybody starting next week we are going to start revisiting our hebrew apologetics uh the christian community and those who are naysayers those who are torah [Music] detractors those individuals who are anti-thetical to torah observant reality they're getting aggressive now and revelation and eschatological books tells us that that hassatan is going to get aggressive knowing that his time draws near he's going to get aggressive do we sit idly on standby or do we suffer violence for the violent ticket by force it's getting aggressive so we got to make sure that we arm you and you have to know that you don't have enough sophistication of weaponry of technological warfare you don't have enough of that to fight the oppressors the weapons of our warfare they are not but they are so we don't fight against flesh and blood but against principalities that's what makes israel and yahushua that's what makes us unique is that we have someone who fights for us [Music] when our back was against the wall someone stood strong and fought for us that someone said the battle was mine and the victory is yours when mashiach was tempted by pasatan [Music] what did he use to combat the deception of hassan because hassan will always question your authenticity matthew chapter three we find netanyahu chapter three here he is he now affirms that yahushua you are my son who i am well pleased demetria he publicly affirmed who he is but in chapter four what did hasan come to do to question and to undermine the authenticity if you be the son most high just told him he was the son and immediately he was driven into the wilderness to be tempted of hassatam and one of the temptation um tools that hastan uses is if you be the son you're going to be challenged more so than ever before joshua you know who you are the most high have revealed who you are but there's going to be information there's going to be divination there's going to be none credible sources that will come to undermine or to question the authenticity of who yahuwah called you to be but there is a strategy because the brit harassah or the new testament yahushua tells us how to combat the wows of the wicked one right he gives us strategy in terms of how we do that how did he deal with the questioning of satan you got it i want everybody else to get it what say it again girl say it again torah his response is it is written how you combat the onsaught of hassatan because he prays on your insecurities i'm looking over the room everybody in here has immense subtle embedded insecurities and because hassatan understands the activities of the activity what he does is he prays on your vulnerabilities he looks for areas where you are susceptible in he looks for areas of vulnerabilities he looks for areas of weakness and this is why mashyach told peter ha satan desired to sift you as weak the word sift means to poke with holes until i can find a weakness there looks for areas where you are susceptible in areas where you are vulnerable in areas where you are weak in and because he knows all the other areas of your life he have no entry point into because it's pretty secure he looked for areas of weakness areas of vulnerability and that because he's a skilled marksman shooter assassins who are skilled they never ever shoot in areas where you are covered in they always go for the keel they always look for areas of vulnerability on your human your human anatomy so they always shoot for the head or the heart they don't shoot you in the leg something you can recover from they always look for areas of vulnerabilities ha-satan is an accuser of the brethren how he what he does satan he binds by reminds he binds by reminding you of who you used to be and what you used to do he binds by reminds that's why i told you all that um the past is first present with you in you the past is first present with you in you what do you mean by that the past is first present with you in you in other words the real issue isn't your past the real issue is you holding on to your past he binds by reminds and we know that the past is first present with you in you so it's it's the the it's the past that you bring into your present that's why we find all throughout tonight forget about those things of the past right press towards the mark of the prize of the high calling so we have to be in the position to use torah whenever hassan comes to be accusatory you have to know torah but if you don't know torah you are going to be susceptible to the devices of the enemy that's why we find that the uh the brit had a shot says give no ground to the enemy the word ground or you will find in your uh king james bible uh it might say place they give no place to the wicked one that comes from the greek expressions tapos top post in fact we get a very similar word in that called topology topology means the study of ground it means the study of ground that we are to give no ground to the wicked one so we have to walk the straight and narrow as those who are tor observant as hebrews as individuals who are the descendants of yahweh we have to make sure that we give no toppos no place to the wicked one because what he does is he's subtle he's sneaky he's just like the one he um he he thinks you have an advantage but he will use the very same thing against you um he's the one who would convince you to rob the bank but be the same person to call the police on you because he's very subtle in his nature so we're going to start next week equipping again at least about 10 to 15 minutes if we have to minimize some other areas so that we can equip you i want to address this particularly apologetics i've been telling you for a couple of weeks head wraps is it because we're seeing that there's all type obligatory dogma obligatory doctrines out there that people are making obligatory i love culture i think it's wonderful if i had an opportunity for my wife and all of my daughters to wear head wraps they will wear them 24 7. i think it is beautiful i think is modesty i think it is a endearing thing i think is wonderful because it is a reflection of our culture and our custom because culture is observable worship i love it i think it's great but the moment you begin to make head wraps obligatory then you got to make sure that you're not listening to the tradition of men that make torah of none effect according to mashiach mark chapter 7 matthew chapter 15. we got to make sure that it's in sequence in line with torah torah is the foundation it is the bedrock of all that we believe if it doesn't if anything conflicts with torah you need to be thrown out everything mashiach said of course well i don't believe in that stuff i just believe in what jesus said jesus said i just believe in the doctrine of jesus well according to john chapter 7 verse 16 mashiach has no doctrine he said the doctrine i have is not my own i don't have a doctrine my doctrine is torah everything that i quote acts chapter 3 verse 18 luke chapter 24 verse 44. everything i say is based on the torah the law the prophets and what the psalm said about me so i come to playroom side i come to speak i come to fulfill i come to carry out everything that was previously said about me this is prophecy for feeling your ears so does the torah speaks exclusively about it making it obligatory for women to cover their head so you need to be equipped in that because there's all type of wind of doctrine i think it's wonderful if that's something that that particular environment um want to endorse want to um perpetuate um i think is wonderful but when you make it obligatory show me in the first four books which is really torah deuteronomy is what we call the a copy of the law so deuteronomy is just a copy of genesis x's leviticus and number it summarizes the first four books that's why deuteronomy is deuteronomy which means a copy of the law show me where it is obligatory for a woman to cover their head because what we're doing is we're becoming pharisaical we're adding tradition that's dogma it is a tradition of men we're adding things and making it well nope you can't mashiach dealt with it in march after seven didn't he so what you know what um they're not washing their hands before they eat mashiach i just said through your tradition you are defiling the commandments of the most high because you are so notice there's a difference between tradition and men and the commandments of the most high and we need to make sure that we're not allowing as matthew 15 the traditions to make torah of none effect make it ineffective because of your traditions and so that's why mashiach have come to speak against a tradition and so this is why he will often say two different words that are very common in the brit hadashah if he gonna say it is written whenever he says written he that means you have properly understood what i'm trying to convey if he said um you have heard it being said then that means notice he said but i say unto you every time he say you have heard it being said but i say unto you notice that he is now given the right interpretation of the law because they had a poor understanding of what the law is so we have to make sure that what we believe is a foundation and i'm going to show you that i'm going to show you what most people fail to show you in terms of how there is a delineation or there should be a dichotomy is a better term between this whole idea of wearing um a woman being covered versus a woman head being covered those are two different greek terms but when you're not scholarly and you don't understand the principle of scriptural jurisprudence and you don't do textual criticism and understand um uh the um the genre form and understand historical uh cultural context and contextualizing the bible what you do is you're going to take precepts and without any context and so we find it all the time in uh camps on the street right they said no there's a law here no turn here in revelation chapter 14 read now go on over here to zechariah chapter 4 verse 16 and see this word purse here means the same word it defines itself so yes the bible is what we call interpretive methodology it does interpret itself but you might understand context everybody say context contextually contextualizing the scripture what is the context oh purse here was talking about something different than it was talking about purse here but that's how if you don't understand it and you're just taking the scripture for face value particularly when it's translated in germanic language then you are at a disadvantage because you are trying to interpret the hebrew scriptures through the eyes of our oppressors through the liens of grecian latinized constructs so a eurocentric idea of uh you you're trying to take the hebrew scriptures and you're trying to interpret them through a year centric narrative that's you that'll never work for you so see a woman you better wear them ahead wrap you in sin you even come in here and see well i said well okay that's a good man should not be praying with his head covered it's like these silly rabbits trick i mean sorry wonderful people so if that's the case then we should find no place where the mo the most high required me man to cover the head when they were praying oh oh there's over 12 scriptures in the torah that talks about men covering their head when they worship and they pray wait a minute but why did paul say here that man is ashamed for a man to have his head covered because they don't understand the greek terms and when you do not do scripture jurisprudence you're going to fall within the tradition of men let ken howard be a lie let everybody else who is a teacher or spiritual practitioner be a lie but his word is true so that's why we go through the interrogation or to interrogate the scriptures and we scrutinize the scripture so that we can extrapolate or we can properly exegete what is the intentionality of scriptures which means um what is the authorial intent what was the intention of it but if we don't we use intentionality um um fallacy and which means that we are really into and making it say something y'all women y'all better these women then shane faced it these women ain't y'all only wearing no head wraps that's pharisee garbage because tor same thing with marriage well no you can't match yuck said if you get a divorce from your from your spouse then that means if she y'all get married again you caused her the sin and you sin so mashiach redefines torah now yah hates divorce is that correct let me say it again y'all hates divorce doesn't he do you have mashiach ever spoke against torah if he did it is what he's seeing so when people say well no you know martial i know what moses said here but mostak said this then what we're saying is that's the christian mindset christians are christianity is homophobic i'm a do away old testament doesn't matter when it's like you're throwing away the foundation and if the foundation be destroyed what shall the righteous do the new testament is is is commentary is it is pistol a which means epistles and writings it's built upon the back of the foundation of gramata or grephe gramata agree whenever it's found many times in the new testament particularly about 22 times in the new testament it always refers to whenever you see the word scripture that is graphic or grammatical it also refer to the old testament that's the scripture and everything in the new testament it's built upon the foundation of that so when you throw away your foundation everything crumbles and you're you're you swept into this religious illusion and the doctrine of men so we got to make sure that what torah says everything is built on torah mashiach never spoke against torah but again it's the language if you dig into the language textual criticisms like you know what mashyack used this greek term here and the hebrew term there was used all he wasn't he was actually he was agreeing with torah you understand but you see how we have brought this this eurocentric doctrine into the faith and it has given us a convoluted idea of what sound doctrine should be you got me so we're going to deal with that and then the following week after that we're going so we're going to deal with that next week um just for about 15 minutes to give you some sharp and i'm going to start giving you handouts too i'm doing it in my class my hebrew scriptures class so they can defend right i don't remember what you said right so and then um the following week we're going to deal with um exclusively we're going to deal with um thanksgiving yay thanksgiving coming up yeah thanksgiving coming up yay turkey and candy yams in huh oh so is thanksgiving pagan it's thanksgiving packing you sure about that you're positive about that i'm gonna prove to you all that you are absolutely positively unequivocally without question without doubt irrevocably um undeniably unambiguously correct it is pegging to his root and i'm going to show you how it came over and we said well no it's just about slaughter if you just use the slaughtering of native americans as your only argument i would say it's a valid argument i mean it's a sound argument but it's not really valid it is a really a a strong weak argument if you will what we call the maxi men right it's the maximian approach yeah is that but it's so much deeper than that it's pagan now do that mean you don't spend time with your family turkey yams dressing not the stovetop real dressing i'm sorry i didn't mean to offend anybody do it today but it's pegging to his roof and i'm going to show you i'm going to show you that so that you can defend the faith right you can defend the faith now i don't want you all to think you don't have to pull away from your family that's called any any community to tell you to pull away from your mom your daddy them all that that's coffee because what i learned in this faith you don't have to pull away from them they're going to pull away from you shall we say the gallery shut the do you hate me because i tell you the truth i love those opportunities y'all having to gather it let me it's a time for me to come here you come talking about the sabbath he come talking about that hebrew stuff here i come here i'll come yeah i go and find me here i come all right all right praise y'all hallelujah you got a couple minutes for me i'll use the sabbat you ain't got nothing better to do hallelujah anyway so um i'm going to end my series on matters of the heart or issues of the heart i want to just hone in a little bit on the whole sin component of small foxes everybody say small foxes all right so small foxes fall small foxes song of solomon chapter 2 starting at verse 14. remember song of solomon when you look at it let me give you some prolagomena which means background information concerning song of solomon song of solomon is exclusively a book of not just the genre is poetry but it's also a love affair is a love letter between solomon and his lover you will not find descriptive titles like god or lord or or any of those descriptive titles right which most of them are pagan you won't find that here you won't find yahuwah you won't find any hebraic root terms in song of solomon you will not find that whatsoever in fact um when i'm we're we're teaching and we are counseling couples um we always bring out song of solomon because song of solomon is very explicit if you know what i mean um particularly when it comes to human relationality is therapeutic uh it is very explicit in nature in that it when you understand hebrew words um in hebrew idioms and you understand uh similes and economies and synecdoches associated with uh song of solomon it is um x-rated all right um and i think the most high strategically placed that there um because the most high is involved in our human sexuality all right he created it and so um we look at it in america to babylon in a very sensual very negative sense all right but within it i think it pulls out the hebraic idioms that is necessary um for us to be on as we've been building on over the last couple weeks so verse 14 oh my dove that that that the art in the clefs of the rock and the secret places of the stairs let me see thy continents let me hear thy voice for sweet as thy voice and thy continence is calmly right so we know calmly we know isaiah talks about chapter 53 that mashiach when we see moshiach um that there will be um he will not there will be no communists about him no beauty about him that we should desire him he should not be calmly commonly means good looking all right and we know through halasis account we know through the early pagan fathers dertilian polycarp um ignatius um we know that all those early pagan fathers as i call of the patriarchs um and then of course um when we re um uh halasis and the uh records from the early um the romans and their empire we know that mashiach was five three with three cubic feet he had a unibrow he had a hunchback he had um very um he had what we call locks uh he had a skanky beard and he was very ugly or they call it or very unattractive there's there's a lot of precepts on that that says that so i often say that mashiach look um that flavor flav look much better than mashiach and so people laugh when i say that but i'm really serious about him that's why he came to his own his own received him not when you are attractive um it's it's you draw people to you all right um when anything that is attractive by nature right verse 15 is the point of influence take us to take us to foxes the little foxes do what they spoil a vine for our vines have what tender grapes so take away the the the small foxes so we've been talking about this whole idea of taking away these small foxes or these proverbial things that come in your life these preconditions that's in your life that choke torah that choke the word so we talked about that in mark chapter four didn't we we talked about mashiach gave a parable that the torah is like a seed mashiach is speaking periodically and he said torah is like a sea and and your ground is as the heart and that the torah need to be planted in your heart but he said that listen it is it's not an automatic thing where torah begins to grow in you the word growing because the same way you have to overcome obstructions to reap an earthly harvest are the same obstructions you have to overcome to reap a spiritual harvest so he's drawn an analogy what he's being analogical and logical he's drawn this analogy between how torah works in your heart and the very obstructions we're gonna have to overcome so that torah can be productive you got me all right that was the quickest recap um that i have ever did in my life we recapitulated all right so psalms division 19 verse 7 notice what david david dealt with some small foxes verse 7 and the law of yahuwah is perfect converting the soul the testimony of yahuwah is so we got the law and we got the testimony they are perfect they are sure making the simple the statues of yahuwah are rejoicing the heart the commandments of yahuwah are pure enlightening the eyes remember that word enlightening enlightening they are pure right so we got the laws we got the statutes we got the commandments the fear of yahuwah is it is clean it endures forever the judgments of yahuwah are true and they are righteous all together so we define righteousness based on the law i'm going to prove that to you momentarily any time righteousness is defined apart from the law it is it is a it is not the righteousness that the bible speaks of righteousness can only be defined what is right can only be defined based on the torah if your righteousness is built on any other um value system other than torah it is not righteousness it's self-righteousness okay so um so notice we have the law we have the statutes the commandments we have the fear of yahuwah we have the judgments more to be desired than what go yay then much fine gold sweeter also than the honey and a honeycomb moreover than them by them is thy servant warn and keeping them is there a great reward so we got enlighten it and we got warn so we talked about how the law of yah and how david is expressing to us that the law of yahuwah that it can benefit you if you torah to my life right he's the more you read the law he said i find it better than money i find it better than than honey i find it more than a man and woman you know reason one of the reasons why uh i don't i i don't although i'm tempted and everybody is tempted to do something and morally um um crazy to involve myself and in moral deviant behavior it's not just because i love this woman and i do love her but the reason why i don't do it because i love yahuwah because she will come and go she'll say i don't want nothing to do with you i'm done with you and it'll hurt it'll sting but after a while i'll get over it but listen that's why there is a love that belongs to yah that doesn't belong to your spouse let me go over here there is a love that belongs to yah that don't belong to your children that doesn't belong to any other allegiance it belongs to him and him alone and so we got to begin to gauge the barometer of our love walk because listen ya no matter what you do no matter who you take away from me at the end of the day don't let me and you break up because what matters to most is i am out of my crazy rabbity mind and love with yahuwah and if she leave me tomorrow it would be a dark moment in my life but we can endure for a night but joy will come in the morning right it's cheaper to keep her [Laughter] all right all right so so david he says teach you how to how used to act carry yourself how to succeed how precious the laws and the judgment are that his judgment and he said the more i lived torah is the more it exposed my weaknesses the more it exposed my self-righteousness that's what torah does torah warns you and enlightens you it enlightens you about you and about who you are you cannot read torah and not be faced with your own immoral deviant behavior it shows you how despicable you are it shows you how ugly you are it shows you how nasty you are it shows you how lustful you are it shows you how perverted you are it shows you david said the more i came in contact with your law it was enlightened and it warned me of my presumptuous sins and my secret faults we'll get to that so a lot of us we we allow these things to fester in our lives right um notice what what david said david said the judgments um i am enlightened am i shortcoming i am warned and uh he goes on to say that it shows that basically the frail jesus is in your life that you're going to deal with torah exposes the frailties and the issues that are in your life now we know it's all wrong as i said before to kill and steal right but what we do is we allow to fester we allow to linger with us malice and envy and jealousy and unforgiveness these are what solomon said are the small foxes that are eaten away at our vine many of you will not fornicate you will not commit the physical act of fornication but you'll stay mad as somebody who crossed you for three years and what what what what what what what the author is saying it is these small foxes that are eaten away at us and so many of us we won't do um something crazy like adultery but yet we'll resent people and all see all resentment is anger on the inside the outward expression of anger's wrath so either you are wrath or you're in resentment but it is what it is here's what i tell people you don't know the magnitude of sin and when you categorize sin as big or little then what you do is you give it a license to remain because whenever you make excuses for your condition you give it a license to remain oh why ain't like her yeah i got a little hatred in my heart yeah i'm jealous of of debbie a little bit because of what she have i i wish i was like her i'm jealous a little bit but listen i ain't out them them heathens out there they all say no no no no if you put a hugo boss suit on a gorilla is still an ape in a suit if you put a a mini skirt on a hog it's still a pig in a dress no matter how you dress it up it is what it is these are the the subtle issues of your heart that is eaten away at you go look at our videos from last week and the messages from the week before land and we talked about the issues of the heart and because these small foxes are these preconditions as ezekiel 14 says these preconditions are eaten away at your heart we lodged them in our hearts and so that's why it's important y'all said i'm going to answer you do you not know that yah answer us but he's going to answer us according to the preconditions of our heart according to ezekiel chapter 14. he said listen um because yah spoke to the prophets and in ezekiel particularly in an exilic era which means exile we know that they were looking the people were looking israel our ancestors were looking to hear a word from yah and ezekiel comes to give him a word and he says he's speaking as the mouthpiece of yahuwah ah yahuwah i will speak to you israel but i'm gonna speak to you according to the idols that you said in your heart this is why it's dangerous it's dangerous for not only the hebrew community in the christian community in any other community when you say that you're hearing from yah or you're speaking on behalf of yah and you have not dealt with issues in your life it is dangerous whether you are singing whether you are playing with the drums the keyboard the the guitar no matter what because yah will speak but he's going to speak through the issues in your life now if i have a dirty filter but i have clean water and i shoot that clean water through that dirty filter on the other side of the filter it's gonna come out what dirty water was the water clean absolutely but my filter was not clean and so what's going to come out on the other side is dirty water y'all said i'm going to speak and what i say won't change but how you hear me wheel so that's why you got to deal with how you hear because if you don't deal with how you hear what you hear will be ineffective you got to deal with the preconditions of your life because what you do is you'll get involved into this walk and what happens is you know better than the christians that you you talk about because what happens is now he's speaking through you but he's speaking through that lust he's speaking through that malice he's speaking to the hurt because your impulses become the leading factor rather than yah your sentiments become the leading factor rather than the odd it is that hurt it is that pain it is that jealousy it is that insecurity it is that rebellion it's that spirit of abandonment they're going to speak and yes it's yah speaking and what he says don't change but how you interpret what he's saying would change because he's going to speak through it and so now you're going to engage in what we call counter-transference counter-transference is now as you're trying to minister somebody else you are ministering through your own impulses now ya is speaking but he's using you as the funnel he's using you as the conduit to speak through but you got some issues so y'all said you got to deal with those issues because if you don't deal with those issues you're going to misconstrue how you hear me now anybody ever been to the drive-ins before going inside you're too young anybody been to the driveway for when you go to the drive-in or you've been in the past do you go to look at the movie or do you go to look at the screen somebody said it's free do you go to look at the screen or the movie ladies and gentlemen if you go to look at the screen you need prayer we don't go to the movies to look at the screen we're going to look at the movie all the screen is the screen is just a tool to the movie to be projected on we get fixated on the screen and we miss out on the movie because the movie that's why i tell people you are not the light as you suppose we're the light of the world no israel we're really not the light we're just a reflection of the light when when y'all made a covenant with our forefathers he made a covenant with the progenitors abraham isaac and james he made a covenant we signed up to be a reflection we're a reflector so as he shined his light on us that light now is projected before men that they may see our good works which store and glorify who the father which is in heaven but what happens when your reflective surface is dingy and dirty you can't reflect the light because there are certain colors on the color spectrum that reflect light and there are certain colors that absorb light black is a color that absorbs light when your life is dingy when it's dirty when it's dark it becomes all about you you become self-absorbed on you it absorbs light that's why out of our vernacular shouldn't be me myself and i the unholy trinity no for the life of the torah observant messianic believer who is rock field our reflection should not be about us or we it's about him or we all right it's about what he's called us to do because light is supposed to project or the screen's supposed to project it all right so let's get here let's finish this here so psalm division 19 verse 12 who can understand his what eras cleanse thou me from what secret false keep back thy servant from all presumptuous sin and let not have let them not have dominion over me then shall i be what up right that's the word upright and i shall be innocent from the great transgression so we understand his what his errors if you look at the screen notice what error is an error is an act or a condition an act or a condition of ignorance causing one to deviate from the code of behavior or an unintentional deviation from the law how many got errors ah do you deviate from the law hello do you deviate from the law from time to time okay of course you do do you mean it that's what the errors so he's saying here who can understand my errors this is an unintentional deviation from the law so david said because of my ignorance of the word i deviated from the truth in certain areas i do as well but the more i come into the knowledge of the truth for him to know the do and not to do him it is it is sin because now you are intentional about what you're doing but where there is no law there is no sin number chapter 15 tells us that if anyone who ignorantly comes against the law you're doing it in an ignorant way then there should be atonement for you that's in that number in fact when not when matriarch is quoting matthew chapter 5 17 through 19 that says i didn't come to abolish the law but i come to play roosevelt or fulfill the law that the law um this should be not one job or twitter removed from the law right um until all have been genetic fulfilled the word is genetic there and then he goes on to say that any um you're going to be leasing the kingdom if you do not teach and and and walk it out um and then you're going to be great if you do but then he goes in verse 20 and talk about but your righteousness shall exceed that of what of the pharisees because the pharisees are those who you say don't make it into the kingdom because the pharisees are those who knew the law but they didn't do it that's why matthias said hey these pharisees do what they telling you to do yeah they're telling you right because they sit in the seat of moses but don't do as they do because they're hypocrites so who don't make it into the kingdom are individuals who who know it but intentionally don't walk it out you got it so let's move on here so he said clean style me from what my secret what secret what good job say it again false good job false so a fault is a chronic proneness to yield to temptation i just came up somebody down somebody blocked came up on your porch and kicked in your door i said a chronic proneness to yield to temptation am i talking to anybody in here i ain't talking i'm going back on this side am i talking to anybody a chronic proneness to yield to temptation how many are tempted we all are we all are but because temptation can only occur when there is desirability and availability if there's available but you don't desire it's not going to happen if it's desire but it's available it's not going to happen so we all are tempted right how many do you want yah to deliver you from temptation somebody shout hallelujah somebody shout glory somebody shout that's not yah yah will never hear me and hear me good never in this lifetime deliver you from temptation even when you get into the kingdom you're going to be tempted that's why hassata he's going to come until take a third of people into the kingdom he's going to because no no the bible does no scripture says deliver me from evil but what about temptation don't lead me into temptation now will y'all lead you into temptation will y'all let me let me go on this side will y'all lead you into temptation who who led martial into the wilderness to be tempted who who who yes it says that after he was immersed by his cousin yokin on the immerser that he i love when people fact check me go ahead and second guess me kimberly ward you cannot get that he except that's a whole different dynamic so he immediately driven him into the wilderness to be tempted now who did attempting but who did the driven with job who did the tempting but who allowed it so do y'all tempt you but do he drive you and put you in position to be tempted do we see that all right so that's why he said leave me not into what temptation because when you in this walk oh you're gonna be led into some temptation that's the only barometer to gauge to see whether or not you're truly he is you say you love me now but if you continue after what's gonna hit you if you continue in my word then you are my disciples indeed so you're going to be tempted in this walk there's no way around that all right yeah so so he had a habitual tendency to give into temptation that he thought he overcame until he came in contact with the law when you come in contact with torah when you come in contact with the law you're going to see some things see we can ratify sin but it's the things that people don't see that has eaten away of our lives these are these small foxes that are eating away from us this is the wicked imagination that ill feeling that you have towards somebody that thing on the inside of you that's deep down in the inside of you yep you guessed it you know what it is it's a small fox's inaudible small foxes of hebrew or which is derived from digging underground to destroy this proverbial fox is cunning and destructive to vineyards and to ripe grapes foxes watch this these small foxes are silent and they are solitary in their habits they're silent and they're solitary right which means that by time you figure out something is going on it's too late because they are subtle they come in like wait a minute i thought i was delivered from that wait a minute why am i still dealing with that it comes out of nowhere and by time you figure out you got an issue the damage has already been done because what happens is these foxes particularly in ancient near east um culture um when you look at the animaking the animals that was indigenous to the area these small foxes almost like a raccoon size of raccoon they would dig on the ground and they would grab your vegetation from the root so by time you figure out that something's going on with your greens something going on with your green beans something going on with your tomatoes it's already done because the damage has already been done these small foxes are so silent they're so solitary in their their habits that by time you figure out that there's something going on with me it's too late the damage has already been done you are in the act so you have heard me say line stealing killing adultery all those things aren't real sin in the real sense of the word no sense of a word right so you know the the hebrew term uh is to say it's which means sin it's the same or equivalent to mara which is rebellion so rebellion and sin is seen simultaneously they are used interchangeably so how the ancient hebrew thought was is that all sin is rebellion against the known will of yah your mind you're going to rebel against the known will of y'all which is torah you have already seen lying stealing killing adultery fornication all those things are just a symptom of the sin that has already occurred it's just a manifestation of the seeing that has already occurred so that's why we have the leader acts to the root and deal with the root cause the root cause is rebellion rebellion is the feeder that feeds the activity so the small foxes that you haven't dealt with is causes rebellion to occur in your life so notice that psalms 19-13 keep back i serve and also from what from what perception is what and let them have dominion over me let them have what not have dominion over me then i shall be upright so notice what so for sumptuous sins presumptuous sins is not overt sins but it's presumptuous it's the presumptuous things he said that's eating me alive it's not overt it's not like hey here i am i'm in a nude hey here's sin in my life hey here's my issues hey here's my issues no these are not overt deviant behavior it's not in the open but this is presumptuous he said it's the presumptuous sins that are eating me alive watch this because he says the thing that yahuwah was trying to bring across to to him is that a lot of things well well that we call sin will rob us from righteousness but it's not by what has happened overtly it's these things that inside of us right because by the time someone is into fornication activity it's a small foxes of lust and things were already eating the way of their vine you just don't pop up there that's why we watch our thoughts because our thoughts become words our words because our words become actions our actions because our actions become habits our habits because our habits becomes our character we watch our character because our character determines our fate or our destiny so it starts here as a man think of so is so is he so it starts there so we got to make sure that we deal with a lot of these these these issues here so a lot of us want to fight we won't steal we don't kill we want to do all these things right we'll stay away from arguments but we'll let resentment stay in our heart for so long so last week we talked about the small foxes are um we think they don't do us any harm because they are parasitic everybody say parasitic all right parasitic what do i mean by parasitic yeah right they're parasitic knows what a parasite is i put the definition here a parasite is an organism that is dependent on something else for his existence without making an adequate return we got something taken away from you y'all being used let me go on this side they planned y'all p.i mp him they taking and using what i call kleenex ministry they are using you and throwing you away they're taking something from you without putting adequate return that's what parasites are leechers they leech and they take and this is the whole idea of this con convert uh convert or this this presumptuous sin is that it's taking from you and you don't know it's not making adequate return so you're getting weaker and weaker and weaker and your ability to resist now the temptation is growing weaker and weaker and weaker and weaker and weaker because they're parasitic they're taking away from you without making any adequate return so this metaphor parasite needs your participation in order to warn his existence it cannot exist without your participation now people always ask me to aid your question how do we stop sinning well the scripture is very very matter of fact about that scripture says if you can if you um suffered in the flesh you will cease from sin but you have to beat your flesh black and blue as shahu would say or we got to die to self we got your flesh is something else you want to tell me when i you want to know when i'm most vulnerable after i do the teaching after i teach i'm most vulnerable that's what i got to fight against the most because every word you hear or every word you say as an awakened hebrew you're going to be challenged by it let me go to the side everything you hear of significance because the words that we speak mashiach said they are spirit and they are life in other words they are spiritual vehicles filled with life so it's we heard masjid said whenever the word or the torah is being sown guess what's going to happen immediately who comes ha satan come to steal it out of your heart so immediate we're not talking about next week you're going to be tested by every word that you hear i'm most vulnerable after i teach you and all he's the most strongest no no no i'm most vulnerable because because the enemy always want to make you hypocritical he's accused the other brother i got y'all looking there i hate teaching about touring things ain't really keeping torah they keep they ain't really following this because he's an accuser of the brother so my real question is what a sin is that true let's see if y'all true because we want to make sure that how many is completely sinless okay two people in here praise y'all man they're sinless wow they are wow praise yah wow yeah every ever since ever since yahusha you're the best thing that happened to us wow praise yeah right so um so we got to see let's see what paul said about about sin romans chapter 6 verse 1. romans 6 1. so it says what shall we say then shall we continue in that grace may abound yah how shall we that are dead to sin are y'all dead to sin are you dead to sin you sure about that you dead to sin number one you've got to understand the context what cnn is talking about thank you the law of sin we are dead to the laws here not so the difference between a law a law is instructions or a systematic win with something function in between romans chapter 3 and romans chapter 8 there are seven laws that paul mentioned if you don't know the difference don't read romans yet because because peter said that you are going to error in all of the scriptures and that it's going to lead to your instructions so peter said you got to be careful paul writings if you understand so you got to understand what law is talking about because there are seven laws or seven instructions i like the word instructions because when people hear the word law they get oh you're the law of the doorway of the law of moses which is the law of god right the law of christ the law of sin the law of sin and death the law of righteousness um so there are seven laws that are talked about you need to understand what those laws are and how they are applied so grace is a license to sin it's not to the windows is it's not a license to sin i can't do what i want to do that's what grace's word oh because when i fall ultra grace picks me up amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved the wretch like me hallelujah for grace grace keeps me right grace helps me is it a license to sin no but what it does it put me back in compliance with yah's law that's what grace is for i'll show you that maybe next week grace purpose is to put me back in compliance because we all have fallen short of the glory we all have missed the mark we all have seen we all have but what grace does grace put me back in compliance with the commandments and keep me from fake repentance y'all miss that fake repentance real repentance folks is teshuva it's your lifestyle you i'm not talking about with your mouth well i just repent i'm so sorry no you only sorry because you got caught but real repentance is yeah i'm going to turn my lifestyle in such a way i'm going to do a 360 180 degree turn i'm going to turn in such a way that my lifestyle is now reflective that's real repentance anything other than that is honest it's not um authentic repentance it's fake repentance right so by faith the grace of yahuwah renews our heart and brings us into harmony with the principles of torah it brings the dirt so grace covers you in the activity praise y'all hallelujah yeah grace grace covered me a lot of times grace covers you in activity but yes it does but being in compliance what covers you in activity grace does christ cover you in activity but being in compliance with the commandments help you deal with the root of the activity allowing permanent and real change to occur you get it so it does cover me but being in compliance with the commandment it helps me deal with the root activity allowing for real change to occur you heard me say that when is a prostitute not a prostitute when she stop prostituting no when is a liar not a liar when they stop lying no they're still a liar because momentary cessation does not do no change just because you momentarily stop doing something doesn't mean the nature of that isn't in you so what you have to do is you got to practice i love that word practice because verse john used it a lot um you got to practice doing something different until now it becomes habitual that now becomes your nature but just because you stop doing an activity i often tell people you know if you want to lose weight you can't just stop eating at some point you got to eat again you just had to learn how to eat healthier you got to now practice the activities of the activity and now you have to start doing something much healthier you can't just stop eating because at some point you got to pick it up again all right so um so we understand the importance of that if we're ignorant to what cne is we're going to be repeat offenders that explains this whole idea of christianity it's repeat offenders because don't understand the essence of what real sin is right here's the biblical definition of sin right biblical definition of sin i think it's imperative for us to look at this in such a way um so we can know exactly what it is so the bible obviously gives several definition but there's only one concrete definition all right there's only one concrete definition um that we'll see so seeing here cn is come from strong's 2403 that the hebrew 2403 and it literally means to miss a mark so cn is to do what missed a mark or failure to fulfill a goal you got it so it's failure to fulfill the goal so what mark did we miss what goal did we fail to fulfill that's very key because the popular definition obviously is to miss a mark seeing is and so the definition actually is pretty accurate based on the word right it means to miss a mark to miss a mark we even see this word used or translated in the hebrew which means sin to mr mark we see this in judges chapter 20 verse 16. and this is when remember the benjaminite um army and it was something else right benjamin dan dan and benjamin army was something else but look how skillful benjamites were that that army noted they recruited 700 million and they can sling a stone at a hair and not miss it they were skilled in that so notice judges chapter 20 verse 16 that says among all the people were 700 chosen men they were all left-handed anybody left-handed okay two people left-handed right everyone could sling stones at a hair breath and not miss which means i can take the one hair right there right there and just sling it right and hit it i'm gonna try it all right and so um they were skilled and so that's the word the same word to miss here notice what proverbs chapter 19 verse two let me walk through this really quickly proverbs chapter 19 verse two it says whoever maketh haze with feet does what misses his way again the word mist there is hata right the c is kind of silenced right so it means to miss and so when we sin when we kata we missed the mark we missed the mark you missed the goal that needed to be fulfilled right we missed a goal so it also indicates and most of us we see sin as moral failure will we agree with that to us we've been programmed we've been socially engineered to see sin as moral failure right towards yah and to one another can we sin against one another can we stand against one another can we sin against ourselves you sure you got a precept on that of course xiaohu said that when you're involved in fornication you're involved in sexual immorality you're sin against yourself yeah all right that's a whole different message for a whole different day all right so when we see and we fail the meat to go so look at this in the that's in the hebrew look at it in the greek really quick for me all right is harmattano so it's thrones 264. so we know in hebrew is khata but here in greek is harmon now this word harmono it's notice what it says here let's get down here look at that there's greek lexicon it is to wander from the law of yah to violate yah's law wait a minute to sin is to violate yah's law but if the law is done away with what do i have as a barometer to say that i'm in sin because we're not under the law anymore the law has been done away with the law has been nullified we went back to no yoke abandoned y'all hebrews trying to take us back under the yoke of bondage well sir ma'am how do you define what sin is based on the greek and the hebrew it means that which is diametrically opposed to the law how else do we define what sin is if the law has been done away with you just really take some critical thinking to come out of this religious illusion of christianity particularly those who are nomophobic right so what most uh interesting about this word sin is how it relates to another hebrew word watch this and the hebrew word is as we said before torah or yah's law how does it relates to yah's law in relationship with that that's the question at hand because torah all scripture is given for what so we know the word scripture is the word brahmata everybody say gramata or graphe and it means torah it always means that right so all torah is given for what instructions i'm sorry even for doctrine right proverbs said that we know what good doctrine is good doctrine is torah that's what good talk journey is it's for doctrine it is for reproof it is for correction and it's for instructions and righteousness that's what torah does torah gives us instructions as to how to live righteously you can't live righteously outside of torah itself right it means to throw it means to shoot wait a minute it's yara which means to throw or to shoot torah means to shoot anybody shooting anybody throwing anything no it means to shoot say it again the word that's right right we throw fiery dark mean we throw watery darts at ha satan because he throw what fiery darts we quench the fiery darts of the wicked one that's the implication behind it but obviously um let's go to first um samuel chapter 20 verse 20. notice this word shoot or arrow first samuel chapter 20 verse 20 it says i will shoot that word shoot same one for torah it's yara and i would shoot three arrows to the side of it as though i shot a mark that word shoot is the word yara so we see the verb to sin so the word to sin let's look at this again next one saying let's go through it again so we so the verb to sin is hata and it means to miss the mark watch this but the verb of yara of torah means what it means to hit a mark you got that so sin is to miss the mark but torah means to make or hit the mark wait a minute so when you do not make the mark it is sin it is sin right so that's why um um against the backdrop particularly of the verb yahra itself we see the root is torah we can say torah actually means to hit the mark or reach the goal watch this here so the hebrew word archery right is archery so yara means to shoot an arrow in order to hit a mark the mark or target of course was the object at which the archer was aiming when you miss that goal and miss that mark then you sin consequently torah the one of the nouns derived from the root is therefore the arrow aimed at a mark that's why xiaowu said i press towards the mark of the prize of the high calling we shoot the mark so it makes sense in backdrop of this because again the word shoot is what yara or it means to it means that which you are aimed at or it means to shoot now we all have sin we all fall short of the mark is that correct right we all all of us have sinned we all broken fellowship with yah right because that's what it is it means it ties back to yah that's the purpose of torah to tie us back to yah so we can make the mark or the goal of what he has for our lives the goal of life is we know let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter ecclesiastes chapter 12 13 and that is what fear yah keep his commandments that's the whole duty of man so our goal is to hit it right so with that in mind it's clear that torah or yah's law is directly involved and when we go back we talk about romans chapter six uh when he talked about shall we continue in seeing we know what cnn is so let's think about the implications so the implication of course is understanding that breaking certain commandments or yah's law such as let's say the command to rest on the sabbath is that sin when we work on the sabbath serve our word not redemptive work the priests or those who prepare always work every sabbath according to mashiach and it's well according to numbers always work so when we do serve our work are we sinning [Music] no servile not servitude servile means we get paid for are we sinning yes or no we are why because we miss the mr mark now one of the things that people do they just look at the obligatory um uh commands of torah and we don't look at it from a sociological uh um um dealing with a human anatomy the physiology standpoint of it or the sociological standpoint of it we don't look at it from that way but that's why he said all these commandments i've given to you they're not grievous they're for your better men all of the commandments is for us to be our betterment that's why mashach said you ain't made for the sabbath the sabbath was made for you because the sabbath y'all wants you to completely rest and focus on him that's for your batter man don't mix two mixing two he said don't we should mix two fabrics together why is that oh no frequency frequency and not only frequency but when you mix two of those elements together now study coming out because we're going to increase the knowledge in the last days says that it augments arthritis and it throws off your equilibrium you mean to tell me that yah knows best you mean to know me yeah is smarter than us he created the body he manufactured the body therefore he understand all of the dynamics of the body you mean to tell me that he knows what's best for me better than i know what's best for me you mean he told me before the foundation of the world he said that i don't want you to do these things because it's going to have a drastic impact on you what you talking about you mean to tell me he told me to stay away from certain foods because these certain foods take your high blood pressure up your your blood pressure up that it it develops all type of issues with your ovaries it develops all type of issues particularly in women of color you may tell me that's why the most i told you to stay away from that you want me to tell me god is smarter than you i didn't even know that what but they are for your better men that's the goal of life and to longevity of life as well right that's the goal of life so when we so we have to consider that it's missing the mark so let me close with it matthew chapter 7 verse 21-23 somebody read this now everybody who said lord lord shall entertain the kingdom continue we are prophesied in your name jordan i sense in the spirit you're about to go to new places there's a shift going on in you i'm telling you there's a shift that's happening in you now that's going to turn things around i'm telling you mike there's there's a there's a uh a place where you about to go that yah has strictly strategically set up you i see there's gonna be two people that come into your life and and they are going to set you up i see a business in arizona i see there's going to be some things that's going to turn around you even got some family that's about to relocate they're going to relocate from north carolina and they're going to go to arizona and there's going to be a business opportunity waiting for you it's going to strategically set you up i prophesied in his name good old wondrous works in his name that's true we know we have three community centers and we have fed um in terms of volumes of people we have probably fed more than any other agency um in the city of detroit for years giving out 2.1 on average 2.1 million pounds of food we've done wondrous works in his name we fed the poor we help those who are most vulnerable in society those who are marginalized those who are disenfranchised we met the existential realities of the hurting felt needs of the people we have pastoral anniversaries fish fries we've done all that we even show come back because heal the sick in his name hot glory we did all of this name and all you've done all of that for him continue to read verse 23. although you brought somebody to my church and we laid hands on them and then they we cast out devils and they were going through all type of devotions and you mean to tell me i've done all of that and you don't know me i know as witchcraft oh y'all i'm telling you christianity is getting spookier by the moment you mean to tell me i've done all of those things and you still don't know me because he called your work those who work iniquity i don't even know you how you mean to tell me my pastor is a good man he he buried my mama my grandma and my grandpa he always did for us he did he i mean baby baptisms um um my my when i got married he was there for us this man preached good he lived a holy life he'd been faithful to his wife for 53 years you don't even know him what you talking about you don't know him because those who work in nickelodeon we're not talking about those who unintentionally do it we're talking about those who are defying it those three categories those people don't make it into the kingdom the least of them make it to the kingdom those who are great in the kingdom who keep his law in his commandment according to matthew chapter 5 verse 19 those who do the law is what masjid say you're going to be great in the kingdom but those who just grandma who died in 1963 she just didn't know she's going to be leasing the kingdom and then those individuals who are just defiant you are work iniquity let's see what iniquity mean here just in case you think i'm just a babbler and i'm just i'm just just just talking this rhetoric this nonsense let's see what this word iniquity means shall we this word iniquity obviously is come from uh the greek or strong 458 it is anomia by the way the word law in the greek is nomo the law of moses is noma so nomia now notice we put an a in front of it that's the word for iniquity notice anomia means lawlessness it means lawlessness or a utter disregard for yah's law wait a minute so mashiach said you can heal the sick cast out devils in my name you can you can operate and all nine and a half spiritual gifts because you know there's nine but we added a half one you can operate in all of these things and i don't know you because he says you work lawlessness that's that there's no how as a christian who is homophobic how do you reconcile that but you said the law was done away with but mashiach whom the world said called christ said i don't know you if you work against the law somebody better start explaining something because it doesn't make any sense so that's why how we define sin debbie was right from the beginning how do you define it romans chapter seven verse seven let's get there really quickly here's how we define it is here's what paul said what then shall we say the law is sin is the law sin by no means yet if it had not been for the law i would have known not knowing what sin is the only way i know what seeing is is i use the barometer or as a gauge i use the law but if the law is done away with i have nothing to gauge what sin is so when i stand before him and i stand before him what is he going to judge me on why am i being if grace is going to keep me if grace is going to let me make it into the pearly streets of detroit because that's where you're going all right you ain't going to go to heaven because we're not going to heaven heaven is coming to us we got we got to correct people on this nonsense that is incongruous with the bible right so so what is he going to use as a barometer when i stand before him and being judged what how what do we have to gauge well i confess i believe i i said no because faith without works is dead what do he have in fact i always say when people say well no when he judge me i'll say get romans chapter 2 verse 3 i'm going to get that really quick because romans chapter 2 deals exclusively with judgment when you stand before the judge that's why when he says no respect to person he's not talking about um that's why context is very important he is a respected person we see that in romans chapter three verse one he is a respected person we see that in in deuteronomy chapter seven verse six we see that in deuteronomy six and four we said in amos chapter three he is a respecter person yes but in romans chapter 2 a respective person has nothing to do with this egalitarian approach to people has to do when you stand before him in judgment that's what romans chapter 2 is talking about romans chapter 2 verse 13 says what wait a minute just before y'all which means when you stand before him what justifies you the only thing that justify you when you stand before him is not those who just hear but those who what do the law so if the law is done away with what do we have as a barometer to gauge what i'm being judged on y'all you can't judge me because grace just covered me grace but what do you mean you're being judged based on whether or not you do the law so we have to make sure that we get this this right in romans chapter 3 verse 20 obviously there's a uh on that we see that for outside the words of the law we know that there's a word missing there is ech that word by should be if you look in any greek or anything x so those outside of the law works of the law no human being will be justified in the site since through the law comes what the knowledge of sin the knowledge of sin comes through the law and knowing the law james chapter 2 verse 9 but if you show partiality you are committing sin and convicted by the law as transgressors so again james defined that sin is transgressing the law first john chapter 3 verse 4. really quickly running through this everyone that make it makes a practice of sinning also practice lawlessness for sin is what lawlessness or transgression against the law against sin is transgression against the law when you transgress the law you break the law you see it now we do get an advocate do we don't we my little children are writing to you that you see or not but if you do you gotta advocate with the father who is our advocate right yahusha right he's our advocate we have an advocate with the father he advocates for us but shall we continue and see it that grace may abound yeah forbids he forbids and so um we define righteousness i'll put this down now i'm put this down see i won't think just like every other pastor said i'm wrapping up and he said that two hours ago how do we define righteousness sure you sure righteousness most the average christian would tell you that they they are righteous i'm righteous are we living a righteous life saved sanctified filled with the holy ghost we live in a righteous life now you can live a moral life and to not be righteous you can live a holy what is deemed holy by the tradition of men and not be righteous so first john or john is he vehemently use oversimplification of this term righteousness nobody says if verse first john 2 and 29 if you know that he is righteous you know that everyone who does what practice righteousness is born of him you're not born of him if you don't practice righteousness that's why matthew chapter 5 verse 20 mashiach said for those who do the law watch this first john three and seven little children let no one deceive you he who practices righteousness you get it here it's righteous just as he is righteous first three verse chapter three verse ten in this the children of yah and the children of the devil are manifest whoever does not practice righteousness is not of yah so would you agree that those who do not practice righteousness whatever righteousness is that they are not of the father would you say that in fact why don't you get first john chapter two verse four let's see and hold it right there sam i don't want to get it i want them to get it first john chapter two verse four let's see if it's pretty consistent with that everybody read it anyone who says i know you how many of y'all know him okay only one person know him all right how many all know him all right continue there's a liar and the truth is not in you so we know that people who say i know him but if you're not keeping his commandments he don't know you which is pretty consistent with matthew chapter 7 verse 23 that says depart from me you workers of who work iniquity i don't know you because you only know those who are committed to keeping the commandments is that correct all right now so we already developed this now what is righteousness let's look at righteousness really quick sam i think that's the last slide what is righteousness righteousness let's get the greek for righteousness right daca and us or noun and a verb so it comes from strong's 13 45 let's see what it means and that particularly there's greek lexicon and that which has been deemed watch this right as having force of law what has been established and ordained by the law righteousness is that which has been ordained by the law so if you're going to be righteous and do righteousness as john said we must do the law with mosque said you must work law because if you work iniquity then i don't know you so let it be clear as we end this series which um i'm not done i just i'm not finished i'm just done all right let it be clear that we are people in order to deal with the small focus in our life we must deal with the issue of sin the root cause is seen sin is transgression against the law of the most high i pray in the days to come that when you are tempted by hassan you too must be in a position to say it is written but you don't know if you don't read if you don't study you don't know what has been written ruach will bring all things back to our remembrance in which mashiach said but if you don't know what mashiach said how can he bring it back to your remembrance so i pray that you will be diligent in your approach to study torah so notice that i don't have a lot of altar calls that i think is important i think is imperative i think touching and agreeing with someone is vital i think it's a great i think it's wonderful i i prophecy despise not prophesy so mike think i was i was playing with him i wasn't playing with him right so so we how we as we move forward um i think all those things are important despising that prophecy all those things touching agreeing with you the greatest thing i can give you and anyone else can give you is give you an appetite to study torah because torah itself gives you the doctrine the reproof the corrections and instructions and righteousness that you need notice is instructions in what and righteousness so doctrine shows you this is the right path reproof tells you when you're getting off the right path correction tells you how to get back on the right path but instructions and righteousness tell you how to stay on the right path this walk is about staying on the right path we all have fallen short we all have seen you're going to continue in the activity of sin some of you you're going to see in once we leave out of here hopefully it's not intentionally [Music] many of you will send out of ignorance you were sin in a unintentional way you would see it but i pray that when you are tempted that you would use torah tore as your guide tore as your face this is written i have to speak to my flesh and speak to my mind every day and say it is written it is written it is written it is written it is written david said who can understand my eras and my secret faults and my presumptuous sins father i pray for these are people israel the seed of yahweh i pray that you will continue to guide and that you will continue to navigate i pray that what will be in our front view and our rear view will be torah when we rise up when we go about our way when we come home that we will place him as a sign upon our our nick that we will wear torah in your principles where dawid says that your commandments your principles and your precepts and your statutes they are sure they are clean they enlighten me but they also warn me may that be the navigating tool may we not be caught up in trends in israel caught up in the gossip of israel what this community is doing versus that community is built but i pray that it will be torah that would guide us that you said that your torah will be a light unto our feet the light unto our pathway i pray for those who are listening but the ruach hawker desk will invade our territory and fade our space and i pray that we will fall in love with our first love again make torah be the emphasis may your word be the preeminence that be the stabilizing force of our day father i pray for those in here who has wrestling and struggle i pray they will continue struggle is not a bad thing it means that conviction is still there the moment lasciviousness sets in mischievousness a desire not to repent i pray that you will ratify those things that need to be ratified [Music] at the end of the day we will hear the conclusion of the whole matter that we may fear you keep your commandments that's the whole duty of man hallelujah hallelujah we don't want to negate thank you all so much we don't want to negate the power of prayer and coupling with you i believe in the days to come that's going to be essential because many of us are weak and be honest many of us need inner healing we need deliverance many of you to be honest you need the infilling of the ruach you need an immersion of the ruach because the ruach purpose is the leading goddess to all truth it is the paraclete as we say one who walks alongside with you and if you don't have that then you are vulnerable and susceptible to
