hey guys it's kate from garage and reviews and you may be asking yourself coop are you doing the best air bike review yes i am but i'm not just doing it on this one i'm doing it on all of these [Music] there are only a few tools that i would consider a garage gym staple a piece of equipment that you find in pretty much every home gym and this one behind me is probably within that category these are air bikes and we've brought in quite literally every air bike i could pretty much find that's on the market there's some others that are out there and if there's any that you see that you'd like us to include in a future roundup comparison make sure you let us know in the comments some of these we secure specific deals we run specific sales we like to put them and update them in the link below like button so if you'd like to see that make sure you check that out now if you never used an air bike the reason that this is considered a garage gym staple is the fact that it's simple it's easy to use in that it's easy to get on and get going but it's damn hard it's a very hard workout so today i want to give you the best ones that i've found comparing all the different types including the drive systems the fans that are used the opinions that we've gotten from the community over the years because some of these i've used since their inception like the schwen80 pro probably around five six years the rogue echo bike probably just a little bit less than that so these are ones that we've put a ton of miles and meters on and a lot of sweat blood and tears in so you can have the best one for you without further ado let's get into this take that out now here's how i define an air bike any bike that's using a fan blade to produce resistance and so the bikes behind me these two aren't necessarily what people think for air bikes but i first want to give you my pick for the best air bike without arms most air bikes like the all the other ones we'll review it's a full body workout so it's both lower body and upper body because they got arms these offer similar things in that the faster you go the more resistance it provides because it's using air but it's using it in a different way similar to what we'd see with c2 and their rower or what's now known as the roh erg is they're using this air damper system to allow less or more air for the resistance the difference is rather than having arms like these other bikes is it's just your leg power very similar to what we see with every other exercise bike we've done a full breakdown on the comparison between these if you'd like to see that video you can check it out link below like button but just like in that video i'm going to give the same recommendation and that is that the c2 is the best air bike without arms c2 is making extremely simple devices that work extremely well they're just amazing machines now would i pick this over an airbike with arms probably not for most home gym owners because i think you can get a little bit more hit and harder training for most garage motors that's the thing they're wanting to do they wanted to get in get out quick and so i'd recommend those but if you're a crossfitter or you just want a different type of stimulus this is a great model it's not to say this one isn't great it's kind of just a copycat of this with some additional features but the price ends up being pretty similar this is 990 plus another 65 bucks or so shipping and then this one is a little bit less if you get the lower end model this model's a little bit higher so it's a little bit more expensive but for me if i was going to suggest to you the best air bike without arms is by far the c2 biker now after being able to test just about every air bike that's available on the market there is a specific air bike i would recommend as my top pick the one i'd recommend for most home gym owners now i want to be clear this isn't necessarily the one that i'd say is best for every single person i've got some other categories and reasons i'd pick other ones and there actually is another bike here that i may pick for myself over this one but the best air bike for most people i don't think it's going to be any surprise is the rogue echo bike the rogue echo bike is a belt driven bike this one takes a similar architecture to what we've seen with most air bikes which is using a fan blade and just beefs every part of it up everything from the belt drive system which is really one of the reasons that this is my top pick because it's both quieter and more reliable this bike has been in use since it came out this is one of the very first models off the line as soon as they launched it i ordered one i want to say it was maybe four or five years ago now it's been a while and it's been in use since that time despite that and the amount of meters that has been put on this it still performs and looks somewhat new the performance has never required any maintenance i cannot say that about any chain drive air bike i've had this uses self-tensioning poly groove belts which is similar to what we see in cars it's very nice very fluid and this thing is an absolute tank one of the reasons that this bad boy is so stable is because it's so freaking heavy it's 127 pounds so most people they're not having to wheel them around it does get a little bit annoying i'm sure for some having such a heavy bike to move around but i would rather have a heavier bike that's more stable because you just feel like planted into it and when you jump on these you're giving them everything you got oftentimes so you want something that's going to take the pressure you can put on it i bet my hair looks sick the best way i can describe the echo bike is that rogue basically took one of their squat racks disassembled it re-cut it up welded it and made it into a conditioning piece and this is very much on brand with the black powder coat it's got an ok monitor there are monitors that i like better than this one but it works for most uses it shows you a bunch of different data easy to see easy to use you just jump on and go i'm a fan of the echo bike for most people i think this is the best option at 7.95 with free shipping for most people it's not the cheapest model out there but it is a pretty good value this one is imported even though rogue makes most of their equipment in the u.s this one is imported and if you'd like to buy one without a warranty they now offer refurbished options for like 5.95 so if you're gonna get one for most people this is my pick but let's go into the other ones these next one are the assault air bikes and this is every model of the air bike they make from their classic to their pro and their elite they're all built on similar platforms so because it's using a chain drive there's this thing called ghost riding that happens where you pedal on as hard as you can you get off it and it continues racking up meters the echo bike is just a little bit harder to start it's a little bit of a bigger bike so there are people out there that it honestly is too big for i've seen online people talking about how their wives who are around five feet they just have difficulty using it because the seat doesn't go low enough there's just difficulty there where this one can really be used by anybody of any like stature even somebody who's 7 foot and 400 pounds like me just keep getting bigger now this bike is really a modern version of the original schwinn airdyne the one that we see that are gold or white or there's some like gray ones out there took the world by storm basically every crossfit gym in the world had them it has since been updated to these models and they're all just progressively more expensive with progressively bigger builds but for most people the chain driven the best assault bike in my opinion is this one right here the classic i do think for most people this is the one i'd still recommend because it's at a better price point at 7 45 with free shipping which is cheaper than the rogue echo bike and features a lot of the same things as these others it does have the older monitor style but i actually like it it's got the phone holder in there and it uses the same chain drive as these others even the elite that's a really expensive bike really is using the same internal components it's using the chain drive it uses a little bit updated monitor the same thing we see on the assault runner that we've reviewed it's got a little bit like i don't know different styling even though it's got red blades it's really the same internal blades as we see on that one and then on the pro the pro is even more similar to the classic it's just got a little bit different lines it's a little bit heavier and just a little bit more polished but for most home gym owners i don't think you're caring so much about the looks i think that one's going to be beefy enough they've used it in the crossfit games and crossfit gyms for years it's going to have the same amount of maintenance you're going to have to apply to them because they all have chains and so for that reason in my opinion what i'd recommend to you if you want an assault bike and a chain driven bike it's going to be the classic still i i don't think this is a better bike than the echo but this is a good bike and they're proven they've been around for a long time by some of the best fittest athletes in the world they're good enough for them probably good enough for you now if i was to pick an air bike and money is no option this would be my pick this is the schwinn 80 pro also known as the 89 also known as the airdyne x also known as the 88 and some circles the 87. why does it have all those freaking names i have no idea i'm sure they throw in some little gadgets and doodads here and there but it's all pretty much the same thing the 80 pro is a great air bike it was the first one that i found to use the belt drive when i found the belt drive it was like dang like goodbye chain drives because it's just so more reliable it's quieter it doesn't require any maintenance it just works and i like the look of the bike everything about it like i'm just a fan of from how big the fan blades are to how beefy it is i don't love like the plastic shrouds and stuff like that i like the metal that's on the echo bike but one thing that i feel like a lot of air bikes leave off today and i don't really understand why is the different handles like why not add in the different handles and this is one of the few air bikes that offers multiple handle types so you have the top one the bottom one but you also have a neutral grip that i really like and if i'm doing like heavy hit it's nice to just grab these and start going the monitor is nice it's not as good it doesn't provide as much data as some others but if you're just looking for a bike and you're like alright coupe if you could only have one airbike for me it's going to be between the echo bike and this one i go back and forth but this one is the most expensive out of a thousand bucks and so if you don't like the styling of the echo bike but want the internals of the belts and something that's really going to last this is definitely something i'd recommend although it is a thousand bucks now for you guys that are on a budget building a home gym budget home gym is very popular you want something that's not going to break the bank but also not going to break your body or the machine this is one i'd pick this is the titan fan bike and i'm actually a big fan of this bike for a few reasons the biggest one is the fact that it's pretty much a copycat of the assault air bike at a lower price while taking the upgraded accessories that are bought all a cart from rogue for their echo bike and combining it into one thing that is cheaper than both now i want to make this clear this is still a chain drive system chain drive just requires more maintenance it's just a little bit louder it just has a little bit different feel so most people i'd recommend a belt drive but they're more expensive this one is honestly very close for taking our top spot for the best air bike from rogue just because it's a better price point it's a good price and features a lot of things that you have to purchase extra one that our team especially loves are these casters that are turf tires they're just massive overdone like you can buy these for the rogue echo bike they're just extremely enjoyable to use and it's not even a piece of the equipment that you really use on a day-to-day basis but it's just something that's very nice for people that move equipment around a lot but literally nearly every part of this is designed as a copycat i'm sure they don't love me saying that but it's designed to model in some way the assault air bike it is very dang similar so because i like and i understand the reputability and how long assault bikes have been out and the fact that you know they do require maintenance but they'll be around a long time due to an all metal construction this has the same stuff it just adds in things like a bottle holder a phone holder a little bit different monitor which by the way is not as good as the assault air bike and also the turf tires and knurled foot pegs it's one of the best prices out of all these for many of you i would actually recommend this over an echo bike if you're on a budget yeah it's not a crazy price difference and especially a refurbished version from rogue i think that's a really good deal but if you're on a budget you want something with a warranty you want something new i understand and this would be my pick for our budget pick this is the best budget air bike that's out there bar none okay that is a lot of words packed into a review on every air bike i want to know from you which one is your favorite is there some that we missed out here that you you're like coop why'd you miss this one i can think of is the bells of steel blitz bike is there any others let me know we need to bring them in and compare them but i hope this has helped you decide on what equipment you're going to provide for your garage gym these are the air bikes i would recommend and i will see you next time peace [Music] you
