Okay guys, just want to make a quick video on how we make things plural in Spanish. And luckily, it's basically the same way that we make things plural in English. Okay, so we have a noun, el hombre. That noun ends in a vowel. If it ends in a vowel, all you do is add s.
So the way to make el hombre plural, los hombres. That's it. Just add an s. We're good. And make the article plural as well.
Okay, la mujer. This ends in a consonant. When words end in consonants, consonants are like all the letters that are not vowels. So not A, E, I, O, U. What we do is we add E-S. So la mujer, las mujeres.
That's it. So easy. Vowel, add S.
Consonant, add E-S. Okay. I want you to pause the video here and just make all these words either plural, or if they're already plural, make them singular.
So go backwards. You guys ready to go? All right, let's go through these.
El número, singular, make a plural, los números. Un diario, singular, so let's make a plural, unos diarios. El conductor, the driver, sorry, la estudiante, the student, las estudiantes, plural. El conductor, the driver, los conductores, make a plural. El país remember s is still a consonant so we're gonna add es to that los Paises las cosas it's already plural so let's undo that la cosa unos Turistas it's already plural so let's undo that un you have to take off the o and yes off the unos un turista las nacionalidades So the nationalities, right?
To make that un-plural, we'll say la nacionalidad. So D-A-D ending. Number nine, unas computadoras. To make that singular, we have to take off the S on both the words.
Una computadora. Una computadora. Los problemas. El.
Problema. Una fotografia, to make it plural, we're going to say unas fotografias. Los profesores, take off the es, el profesor. Unas señoritas, some young ladies, take off the s from both words.
Una señorita. El hombre, los hombres. Number 15. La maleta, just add an S to both. Las maletas.
La señora. Las señoras. Okay, I hope it's helpful that I'm making these videos each kind of short. I know it's a lot of videos, but it's better than having them all in one single lesson. I hope.
