hey what's up guys I just hit 2000 ELO in Rapid on chess.com and in today's video I'm going to be showing you guys the live gameplay and my reaction to hitting this along with analyzing the game and a game where I beat a really high rated player and I'm going to be showing you guys my thought process and teaching you some tips and tricks for your own games so you guys don't want to miss this so let's let's get right into the video yo what's up guys as you can see here I'm just free raing away from 2,000 and one more would get me right there so I'm going to be playing and hopefully I can get an easy win to get up there all right into our first game looks like we'll be black in chess in chess and this guy's going to play a Queen's Gambit so I'm going to take the pawn some people are all right so first we play some weird move that I saw in a book once I don't really understand it but like hey I don't make the rules here so as I was saying obviously I accept the Gambit because I love free money I could go here no no I guess he gets the pawn back so I guess it was like it wasn't really free money it was like a scam so yeah as I was saying Okay so this guy is trying to instantly win my rck which is um would be pretty unfortunate if that happened in the first like seven moves so let's not do that first of all so I feel I think we can actually kick this guy out but I could also attack his Pawn yeah maybe he'll oh he could just Castle here and then P my Pawn no then I do that blah blah blah so as I was saying if this guy will let me speak maybe he'll spend like five minutes on this move to allow me to explain obviously I take the free Pawn you know some people argue that you know positioning is more important than material than just one Pawn so it's worth the sacrifice but personally I would suck dick for a free Pawn so yeah obviously we take the free money speaking of free money this guy's Knight is quite annoying so let's you know kick him out I love kicking horses in chests and in real life one of my favorite things to do in chess so we're going to go up here with our Knight to control these squares maybe hop in give him a funny check I have no idea what that doesn't he's scared of his King getting oh he wants to push his um F Pawn probably I could go here but that does nothing so I'm not going to go there could go here which actually does s puts pressure on this Pawn obvious I don't honestly know why he'd go there now he can't really develop oh yeah yeah cuz a F3 or four wherever he desires uh F3 so honestly this bishop is not very good and his Bishop is good so if I trade it off that would be a net positive for me so I'm going to attempt to trade this off if he'll let me maybe get my other rook in the game also whenever you have like two pieces I'm giving you guys Pro tips out here so you can be just like me and have a mediocre rating after no lifing whenever you does this worth it if I go here boom his Rook is open but this Pawn's don't or if he takes with the Knight honestly bro I'm just going to put my Rook here so what I was saying whenever you have two pieces here you got to watch out to make sure no pawns can Fork them now that's always bad always see people hanging that it's and it's kind of painful to watch so I'm just looking out for you guys here with my Pro advice I'm going to go back here cuz I like my Bishop oh yeah another Pro tip for you guys uh is to Chomp on those hanging pieces like you're playing Pac-Man usually you know at your guys' level it's like around like a 100 rating I guess you know your opponents will like throw you free pieces like their Queen their ruxs their Knight their Bishops sometimes even they'll hang their King every now and then if they're feeling generous what you want to do is you want to Chomp on those hang pieces take every single one then you should be in a decent position so I'm going to go here if he takes the pawn I just do this and not with the Rook but honestly bro you can have my Pawn cuz here then I go here and then boom attack on Knight not an attack on Titan reference I have never watched that so yeah as of right now if I went here if I took the Knight he would be doubled and his Rook would be looking at a brock cuz this cannot move so hopefully you know he played the queen Gambit and I'm playing the dumbass Gambit not to be confused with um I was I'm pretty sure there was like a Gambit called the Duma Gambit or something do Mass oh he has um Bish I'm just going to go here surely it can't be a bad move but what I was thinking is here takes takes takes or takes the Knight and then boom I'm up a pawn well technically he got my pawns it's not really up a but hey why not oh I forgot he could do that wait I get his Rook what is this guy doing bro there's no way I just got his Rook oh that's even better so let's see let's do some basic math with hunch Crow ABC let's see you take the Rook we're five points and then he takes this with free points and then you got to save your Bishop that's just a random Square by the way obviously you don't put it there then he saves his Bishop you take five he takes three so that's a plus two Advantage but if I take this it's plus three then let's say he takes back then I take this it's plus three and plus three is better than plus two give me your Bishop then imagine it's just like the worst blender ever you know I don't see anything so like yeah obviously I don't know why he would trade when he's already down you know Lord Gotham cheese tells everybody that if you're down material I mean if you're up material you want to like trade everything out so you're pieces like shine like if there's less pieces first of all your piece Advance your piece like um Advantage will be much more apparent like it's how two let's say they're like um okay wa so like yeah brilliant explanation by me totally made sense also there's less counterplay like if your opponent has a lot of pieces they could do something like make a really big attack on your king or use their few pieces to coordinate an attack and do wi one of your pieces back or fork or something so this guy's trying to pull a diddy as we call it that's what us um Future 2000 ELO players call it Diddy when you um try to take your opponent's pawns with your Rooks there are other forms of Diddy but this is the chest one um honestly I don't want this guy to get on my seventh rank so let's just um touch him I mean sorry sorry move Brook to the seventh to the second rank so he can't get there so we're going to stack our Rooks like you know a tur turkey stack them Lely from Mr Beast you know featuring drippy cheese all right so he's actually trying to back rank Ma so we're going to let him do it psych we're going to make an escape pod for my king like with some air in it um so he's thinks I'm hanging my night honestly I probably would but so this invites this but honestly I don't care actually I do kind of care so if I just go here that'd be quite funny so I'm going to do that wait oh he resigned I guess he was bored of me talking so just like that guys we are to asn't e we are officially super pro we're like skibbidy Among Us God insane bro that looks so clean with like that you know the numberers starting with the two just like Magnus Carlson except he's free, on chess.com yeah as you can see here we're super pro alltime best don't question this insane rating graph I'm totally not using stockfish guys as you can see by the 100% evidence of my very good commentary but yes just like that we are just at 2,000 blah blah blah hey guys so I'm going to be analyzing the game that I just played that got me to 2000 rating it was a it was pretty much a straightforward win cuz he just kind of let me win cuz he was feeling extra nice but there are still some important things we can learn from this game so let's get right into it so immediately plays D4 uh personally I like playing against E4 or C4 better I don't like D4 so I just go D5 then he plays the queen scam a bit honestly this opening is really annoying for me cuz like when you take the pawn it's not really a free Pawn because they get like either positional advantage or they'll like win it back kind of pisses me off how you can just dangle this in front of my face and I can't do anything about it I used to lose against this all lot but now until I started playing this accepted variation even like the idea of this like sure you get a PA in the beginning but they can win it back if they really want but this just gives you sp in my like experience it just gives you more space than rather um so you do this then they can just do this like so yeah in this position when I used to play the Queen's Gambit declined I often found found myself like getting easily suffocated by the enemy pieces like they could just that and it feels like my pieces can't really do anything here they're like all stuffed together while he has this nice sensor and then all this pressure and yeah I used to lose a lot but now I play the Queen Gambit accepted which gives me a lot more control even if I don't get to keep the pawn but yeah so basically as I was saying this is the book this is a book move I saw this move once and it's apparently the best so I just played this without thinking obviously I guess this I guess the pawn would not be very strong and also if they take thinking they're getting the pawn you can like disable them may keep the pawn after oh I just say Okay so that's not good new but like basically you trade Queen so they first of all they can't castle and I guess like these pawns are very weak especially this one you could just like play this get the pawn likely maybe get this one too but anyways yeah so he just did this another book move here then apparently this is a Miss yo this move is so bad the coach doesn't even have anything to say usually he has a Yap sandwich just ready cooked up for you but obviously taking is the best here and I guess if he went here um if you went here then his pieces would be pretty active on me and maybe Knight C6 yeah he'd have very active pieces in development but instead he just let me trade this off and I guess technically who the [ __ ] is this guy I have never seen this guy in my life I don't know why he's sending me a challenge lowkey want to accept it but we got things to do so anyways um yeah so okay that guy just completely took me off my f so what I'm saying here is I'm up this Pawn I can use this when he uses the time to get back but yeah so I just move my Bishop here attacking this Knight tries to win my rook and this is actually a mistake sliding the bishop back it's actually better do him do this develop a knight while defending cuz I guess like since obviously your goal is to kick it as you saw in game I kicked it but if you but if you kick it now obviously you can't do this he he can do this and take my Rook so if I go here and then kick like he's gone but I only have one piece to F but if I go here then kick I'll have two pieces Dev up same thing but instead I just move my Bishop yikes could have had two pieces Dev up but decided bit of some a mistake from me in my defense bro someone told me Knights on the rim was like dim or something so anyways go here he takes the pawn which is a mistake apparently putting more pressure on this Square would have been better maybe do that but yeah on inside apparently I was deliberating kicking the night out but I thought developing this KN would be good I guess this is still a fret if I had to guess but yeah stockfish that it was there but this is actually an accuracy it blocks off this nice Bishop diagonal with the Knight don't know why he wouldn't just develop it first May fron but I just castle and as I was saying this knight move is very powerful these two squares are critical for the position but I decide to keep my king safe a bit too slow I guess but he just allows me all right so first we kick his Knight out then I'm it allows me to place my knight in this Godly Square once again here's where he makes his King H1 you don't really see this I don't really think it's worth moving the king I guess to like just for that but yeah that's what he does and as I was saying I want to trade these Bishops off cuz like in this position when I want to trade off like this bishop doesn't have really good squares to go to and like this one does nothing and it obviously at spaw won't do anything it's not like I can f c it cuz I got this bishop and yeah so basically stockfish want me to do this immediately with the idea that if trades trades and I have this nice open file and after I move my Rook here with the idea of doing this I guess after I take the take it here it's still an open file but I could just Sav a move by doing it earlier without having to move my Rook here same thing but whatever good is good then this is inaccuracy now I'm guessing cuz I guess stockfish wanted me to place my knight here then it runs back and then all of a sudden I can place my I can place my knight here and I guess I trade this bishop off cuz Bishops are generally better than knights in end game let's see what this guy says E2 preventing this too and yeah I guess good Knight's control you know but I just do this and apparently stockfish does want him to tradeoff but he goes back and then this square is good stockfish wants me to put it there honestly I saw this too threatening this to maybe threaten to win a PA but I just move my Rook here good principles do always move your Rooks in the very open sensor files that's a very good principle and he goes here this is what I was saying and okay first of all excellent moves are basically as good as the best move so not really much of a difference but I just move it like further back instead of forward even though it's the same diagonal cuz this just looks safer okay so he moves his Bishop here Strong place to connect the Rooks and attack this Pawn very nice move here I don't like the bishop and as I was saying Bishops can be better than Knights so I'm trying to trade it off he doesn't have many good squares to go to so yeah then this is where a big mistake comes in so this actually allows me to skewer him as I was saying in game you know nice skewer we got here then here is where the mistake happened this is actually a critical tactical moment cuz as of right now so he has a knight here and his Bishop is defending this so when I take back the bishop his Knight will take back but if this Knight didn't exist I would be able to take this bishop for free so and what he actually overlooked is when I take the Knight here his Rook is actually hang like he thought it was just this bishop and he could just take back and everything's equal two pieces for two pieces but as I was saying when I he this is actually attacking the rook and all of a sudden he can't do this anymore because I get the Rook for his for my bishop and that's PL up material for me so you always got to look out for removing the defender when this is like removed once a forcing moves are always good to check at cuz if you can like force this isn't really forcing but just Snipes this off yeah always look out for moves like that then instead of taking this he could have I don't know why he'd go back here cuz like if he takes this this doesn't attack this but if he takes this this literally defends this I don't know why he' just go back but that that's what he decided to do and as you saw in my earlier when I played this live I calculated that taking this free Bishop was slightly better than taking the Rook so yeah he take he trades it down oh we do this I defend the pawn and here obviously he's threatening a simple Checkmate cuz here here then I have to block and then bam suffocate King common idea so I just make some space for my king and yeah that's it B not much you could do and he decided to resign here something interesting I noticed I don't know if this is considered toxic but like what I find that when I'm in winning positions right like obviously my opponent is going to like try really hard they want to make a comeback cuz they don't want to lose the raing but sometimes I realize that like if you just like start taking a lot of time like you just think a lot and like waste your opponent's time basically like you use like 30 seconds on the most obvious moves like sometimes they'll get bored or frustrated with you and they'll just resign I don't know if it's very ethical but it it works every now and then don't do it if they could actually come back if you lose a lot of time though like if they have a lot of pieces on your king or something but so yeah as you can guys see this guy was over 2,100 this is is probably the highest rated person I've ever beaten I know it's not like a title player I've beaten title players in like bullet but that doesn't really count cuz like they could be like an 80-year old man who doesn't even have a mouse so yeah this I've never been a title player in Rapid before hopefully I can soon but anyway this guy was very strong decided to play Knight F3 you don't really see this that much but this allows me to play D5 and I'm also planning to play C5 cuz like the D pawn and C Pawn go pretty good together I mean if he plays like this then I won't play it but yeah this guy goes here ready to fonto this honestly bro like I do this this same thing every a lot of the time but I play C4 first the English opening it's nice idea to get the bishop on this diagonal but anyways I play C5 kind of controlling the center and we got the knights here and he instantly castled which for some reason gives me an advantage but what why does stockfish say this is 0.4 oh cuz E5 and you have the fre bulldozing pawns on him and you could probably just like tickle him to death but yeah I don't really do that cuz honestly I'm trying to prepare this and I don't want to block it off see when your opponent like Fan's usually you can faneta too but yeah as I seeing he goes here probably ready to go D4 not yet obviously cuz but like in the future he has those ideas then he play C3 I guess he's supporting the D4 I wouldn't really play cuz that kind of blocks this Knight in but he maybe he's planning to go here to support this Knight so I just fonto just like him then he makes this useless attack on my knight doesn't really do anything because I have this bishop and I instantly kick him out he can't go back here and keep this pin here oh yeah he's like trying to pin it so when I move if there's a pin but I just kick him and since he made this fion ketto he can't really go back cuz I trapped so he just has to trade it off then yeah honestly I think this Knight oh this bishop is actually kind of bad because like it can't really do anything on this side on the king side of the map cuz these pawns are already blocking the way so I guess it was the best move to just trade it off then I Ki back obviously and as seen supports the Knight a bit more personally I'd like honestly I don't really know what else you could do but usually when I have a knight here I try to like get it out of the way so my Bishop has this long diagonal but yeah here I was getting kind of jealous that his Bishop like controls this entire thing so I like I want one of my own so you go here he goes Queen here pretty interesting move but going here would have been better because then I have some I'm friending some discoveries and I'm supporting this Knight even more and I do recognize it's better but I went here cuz like here I was like I just played G6 so like that would be kind of a waste if I didn't play it but sometimes you just have to cut your losses but here I just did this to get the diagonal whatever not the end of the world it's still pretty equal but anyways yeah he goes Pawn here not kind of a threat I guess not really cuz this gets open opened up but not that big so I just castled and he does exactly that he pushes his Pawn I guess he wants to prevent me from going D4 cuz it's quite strong right now but yeah I move my knight here cuz what I want to do is I just wanted to like yeah this wasn't a good play I guess but I didn't really like how this Knight was blocking this pawn and there were no other Square so I just want to stuff it in his face his Knight isn't the greatest either so I'm kind of just shoot I just SPO the game but let's pretend that didn't happen where was I somewhere here yeah here here here so yeah his Knights aren't the greatest here so trading him off allows him to just get the bad Knights off and traded and like so one of my ideas here is since I have this bishop here right good old bishop and I can always um go here here here here and like very open and my Bishop is Happ cuz it has this Knight's diagonal but if I go here he just swipes my bishop and I don't want that to happen so obviously I'm planning to play My Queen usually do this spot cuz like I could go here sometimes it's better but I kind of don't like how they can just go here then fron to like trade the Queen off but I guess it'd be good in this because I have The Rook pla so anyways yeah so I could have done this immediately to defend the bishop I guess but I move my Bishop back cuz I guess it's just an improving move cuz this Pawn was pretty weak and I was afraid he might go here but as so as just going back ahead of time but yeah anyways he does that and I could have taken with this to like not really force a trade like his Bishop is arguably better here but honestly I didn't like how that if I went here you can just move his Knight and then it just pinned so I don't see I didn't see why I did it plus I kind of like oh yeah also here if he just never takes I have this weird stub of a pawn but like right here I have the D pawn and C Pawn next to each other honestly I like this position stockfish says it isn't good but whatever then he moves his Queen back here which is a mistake guess putting more pressure with the Knight would be better I guessing I could go like Rook here Queen here I go Rook here even though once again Queen here is better for some reason oh defending the pawn and like yeah and the bishop so he goes here I finally go Queen here getting ready to attack this diagonal and apparently going here and creating a batter you threaten some pawns would be better but not too different he goes here maybe prevent ideas of preventing C4 even though I could still play it but I had no intention of doing it even though it would be better so I move my Rook here you know get my Rooks to support my strong pawns here so I can maybe push him yeah so he just plays this random move I don't know what it does either so I just push here with this brick so first of all I can trade this down I don't like his Bishop not going to lie my Bishop's pretty good too but they they'll probably get traded off anyways so yeah he takes it off also I'm plan I'm trying to like get these strong pawns ahead maybe even take this to put pressure on the Knight reveal this open file but yeah obviously you I take back the pawn and my idea was if he takes I can do this and boom opened up and then bam bam then Place some Rooks here and this should be pretty good for me which is why he couldn't allow that to happen play his Knight here very strong Knight position then take I take the pawn here open up this if he trades I'll have the open Tri and yeah and also this bishop kind of looking down breathing down his neck then he trades back takes back then here I plac my Bishop here it's very strong can't really get knocked off on the king honestly defending this pawn and guess it can always go back to safety and the only thing that can knock this bishop off is like obviously Rooks and queens can't really take it cuz they're worth more then the no pawns are Fury tiet so obvious so the only way he'd be able to fly get this off is moving a knight all the way around and I could just move it back too cuz this Bishop's much better but yeah he goes here I guess he's upset about my bishop and just wants to like attack it so I move my queen here cuz I see why not pin the brook here to the queen restrict his movement I guess there were better moves I could have taken the open file with this oh another thing I wanted to do with this move was friend to just give him some good old checks maybe and then like yeah I'm basically infiltrating him and his King is very prone to attacks and I could get my other Rook here and like maybe like attack then he goes here Rook here kind of a mistake I guess he want to lift the pin off and also offer a trade cuz I guess a trade would definitely benefit him here cuz right now my pieces are really active and like his like my pieces are active and if he trades my pieces off and they can't be active anymore so it's just kind of a dead draw I guess which is kind of better for him cuz I'm arguably better here so I park my queen here very good putting pressure here and also secretly threatening this to take this Pawn cuz it's pinned obviously this guy probably sees it because he's not stupid so he blocks this to ensure that if I go here he can just take cuz yeah honestly wait could you do this no you can't I was thinking maybe here then just blocks okay so that's why you don't sack your queen if you don't know so anyways the problem yeah going here would have been better no cuz like obviously dis lodges the pin and this Pawn is adequately defended but going back here allows me to make this Knight a Target like I have three pieces attacking he only got one Defender bro so yeah so what he should have done is once again he's just mov the king cut his lost his m lose a pawn but he's not that bad he can still defend kind of maybe he has still has a chance maybe this Pawn would be weak but he did this which just allows me oh yeah I missed a move here see if you can find it but it's taking with the rug is it let's see what it is oh what so what the hell does this do let's see let let stockfish cuz he has 3,000 [Music] um I don't understand why moving your Pawn there would like I guess all right so I don't have five billion elos so I could not explain that move but anyway so I guess taking the Rook would definitely be better here oh wait wait I was so confused cuz like it showed the Green Arrow and that only really shows if like the rating only shows if it happened in game and I remember that this didn't happen but I guess this would have been better Queen takes oh I guess it has this and I guess he but not but I guess this position just better anyways EI even which is technically a Miss because there were better options so what he miss here honestly I missed this too I thought I was just dead winning cuz he had to take back but this Brook this bishop is actually pinned to the rook and I can't like go back and save it cuz they're on different squares so what he could do is just like like save this pin and just take it back at any time so right he miss this where he just does this and the attack Fizzles out cuz this pawn it doesn't pin anymore then yeah I'll inevitably lose this bishop and I guess I'll be up a pawn or the position will still be good enough for me to have a decent Advantage but anyways he missed this he instantly takes this back and now when I go here I can take a pawn with check and it's definitely very good for me I probably should have just taken the pawn but I let him block and defend his Pawn so I just kind of give him a bunch of random checks to confuse him you know and he's threatening to go infiltrate my back I didn't want to risk a draw anything and like here if he goes on this diagonal I can always block the check so I just move my king here and like if we trade good Queens right now I'd definitely be winning cuz I could just get the king out and these pawns would stop these and I have three against one three men against two I guess but yeah sometimes when you're up a pawn it's like a draw but I think this one's better due to my active being able to get to the middle yeah definitely better for me so yeah I just move my queen here I'm threatening more checks I guess not really though I it's I noticed that none of my pawns were H so might not threaten some stuff like taking this Pawn if he moved his Queen away or like just yeah so he does this attacking this pawn and apparently this is a blender cuz I could have saved it low key I forgot pawns could even move but yeah so my thought process here was like if he takes it which he does I could like give him a few more checks just cuz why not and maybe I could win a Pawn on the way but like I was thinking I could go here right and then if he wants to save the you have to go here here then he's very weak and I could just give him a lot of checks and somehow Fork another one but I guess that's wasn't really how it went cuz it's now a draw cuz we have the same pawns is this in accuracy cuz oh okay so wait before I showed you that this I guess it's a little better for me cuz maybe I have this pawn and like he gets this one but who knows but he does this this is actually a blunder because once I go here this King has no good squares to move to like all these are taken this one Pawn takes up this Square which would defend this Pawn but he's forced to take this and it him on this diagonal that just lets me skewer and win his Queen which is actually insane this is why you always have to be careful about like skewers and like letting like when you have like important pieces like in front of like less important like you just easily screw them I don't know why stalker s it's equal it's obviously not bro what all right so this kid's drunk cuz I'm literally winning a queen it's not equal bro what are you talking about what guess this thing is just broken but yeah that's how I beat a high rated player I had a pretty winning position here technically blundered the game by giving him one Pawn then he let me take his Queen cuz he was feeling pretty nice and yeah that is how I want anyways guys that's all I have for this video thanks for watching and goodbye
