Notes on Using Blender for 3D Printing

Changing Scale for 3D Printing

  • Accessing Scene Properties
    • Click on Scene Properties
    • Find the Scale settings.

Setting Unit Preferences

    • Change Length to Millimeters.
  • Unit Scale:
    • Set to 0.001
      • 0.1 = 10 mm
      • 1.0 = 1000 mm

    • Change Grid Scale to 0.001 (matching unit scale).

Saving Preferences

Adding and Scaling Objects
