on june 7th captain brad koch who has walked more than 100 miles of protesters this week fended off an attack by several angry protesters uptown he was aided by other protesters who protected him again thank you for that protesters captain coke has been walking around people all week i think he's even done some kneeling with him he's been trying to show that hey he's in solidarity like i am with with the with not being abused by the police we're against police brutality that's what i was trying to say there what they're talking about there's a little video of captain coke walking with some of the protesters they start harassing him and trying to block him off and he calls in backup oh blocking blocking blocking [Applause] they've rallied a few more they're trying to stop them and he's he's not going to accept that he has not touched anything he has not touched his belt he just put his phone away bike cops coming bike cops coming in bike cops coming in bike cops coming in both directions bike stop coming in hard they back them up they're backing them up they're backing them up hard i guess they shouldn't have done that new video has been released though someone putting to assault him kudos to you sir cmpd tweeted out and said we're asking for the public's help in identifying the following individuals who are involved in this incident a couple of them have already walked away how dare he what in the name of police brutality was he thinking anyways you guys know the best part of any of these videos are the comments let's take a look this is honestly pretty pathetic cmpd is intentionally escalating the situation and giggling about it protect and serve the captain's de-escalation skills are perfect examples of what's wrong with law enforcement professionals with deadly weapons think this is appropriate behavior did we watch the same video because i'm pretty sure someone pushed the cop so the cop took him down to the ground to arrest him how are you supposed to de-escalate someone violently attacking you which in turn causes an entire crowd to attack you green shirt guy isn't undercover without a doubt sources dude trust me i'm having a hard time figuring out the context here he looks like he was instigating them by standing there yeah it does look like he was instigating i'm curious to know what started this he was standing there a lot of people on here are saying that the guy in the green shirt is an undercover cop and he came with captain coke just to instigate by standing there one guy jumped on here uh alvin jumped on said hey nick who was the op of this video and said do you know if the the black guy in the green shirt is cmpd nick the original poster who took the video said he's not with cmpd he says he's with a small group of protesters called the freedom fighters who don't agree with some of the tactics used by charlotte uprising says he's gotten to know captain brad during these protests and he doesn't deserve to be targeted the guy in the green is definitely the mvp that's all i got for you guys today just a short little video i wanted to show you what's going on in my town we've had 12 days straight of
