Bookkeeping Spreadsheet Overview

Start Tab Setup

  • Purpose: Initial setup for bookkeeping spreadsheets.
  • Contains two sections: Small Business and Bookkeeping (dark gray tabs).
  • Tabs: Lock tab (track transactions), Overview tab (custom date range), VATs tab (sales tax summary).

Overview Tab

  • Allows updates based on date ranges for weekly, monthly, and quarterly summaries.
  • Includes Year and Five-Year overviews.

VATs Tab

  • Summary of collected and paid VAT/sales tax.
  • Supports tracking of multiple sales taxes with separate columns.

Small Business Tracker

  • Overview Page: Updates automatically; requires start date input.
  • Inventory Tab: Track inventory, value, and profits for materials and products.
  • Pricing Calculator: Calculate product prices, including costs and profits.
  • Product Lock: Track materials used per product, auto-calculates for new product creation.

Sales Tab

  • Record individual sales per product.
  • Each order can contain multiple items; summarize in the orders tab.

Orders Tab

  • Create invoices for customers; track order details and payment status.
  • Customer information stored in a separate Customers Tab.

Purchases Tab

  • Track material purchases and update inventory automatically.
  • Similar input structure to the sales tab for consistency.

Invoice Template

  • Select order number to auto-fill invoice details.
  • Easy to print and send to customers.

Setup Recommendations

  • Use the checkbox to highlight editable fields in the spreadsheet.
  • Change currency in the top left; updates across the spreadsheet.
  • Set income and expense subcategories (64 each) in setup.

Log Tab

  • Record all transactions (income/expenses).
  • Input date, amount, VAT collected/paid, category, and subcategory.

Profit Goals

  • Set profit goals per month for five years; optional feature.

Year Overview

  • Change start date to show yearly data based on transactions.
  • Visual representation of income, expenses, profit, and cash flow.

  • Automatically updates based on entered data across tabs.
  • Allows tracking of inventory, sales, and purchases seamlessly.

Inventory Management

  • Enter product/material details first for other tabs to work properly.

Tracker Overview

  • Shows monthly and yearly product sales, earnings, and order statuses.
