Alchemist Tower Strategy in Bloons TD6

welcome to the ultimate Bloons td6 strategy Series where I'm going to be showing you strategies for every single Tower from the dart monkey to the Beast Handler and every single path in between this will show you how to diversify your setup and get better along with seeing some stats tips and tricks and all of the strategies for every single one of the towers and although that the series is geared more towards chimps mode this will also show you a lot of tips and tricks that apply to the standard game and will allow you to win with a new style all right sove moving on we have The Alchemist and this is pretty much the like strongest path in the game I'm going to be looking at all four from the tier 2 to tier 5 this time which is a bit different and this is going to be a significantly different episode so from the acidic mixture jip all the way to the Perma Brew they're all very similar they buff other towers and in pretty much every single game you're going to have this but there's a particular thing about this that makes this video being from super short to super long and that's that there are a ton of different use cases so let's take a look at the stats the important thing to know for the shots here for some reason the balloons Wiki doesn't have this and it is extremely important the AMD has 10 shots and with the middle cross path you're going to get increase that to 12 the Berserker brw is kind of crazy it goes from 25 to 40 shots with middle cross path so you'll see the theme that pretty much if you get a Berserker Brew you're most likely going to get the middle cross path with that but we'll cover all of that later on the stem goes from 40 to 55 so it's it's not as much but other notable things is that the Brer Brew gives plus one damage the stronger stimulant does not give an additional damage it's still only plus one damage it's just more Pierce um plus two more Pierce so three Pierce total for the stimulant attack speed range all that stuff and then Perma Brew keeps everything permanent and one really crazy thing about that is that it keeps the AMD permanent too which is a really nice boost so that's practically like plus one damage in most all cases so I put a big wall of text right there pause that and read that anyways let's move on so the first thing to note is that AMD will randomly Target a monkey and this is pretty big because you are not going to be getting AMD on the towers that you want this buff is also independent from the Berserker Brew which is the buff that The Alchemist will give with the tier three and up it's all the same it just gets improved from Berserker to stem to Perma Brew so the acidic mixture dip is independent Will Go On Any random monkey unlike the Brew which will go on the closest monkeys only so for the Berserker Brew you can pick which Towers will get it as they're going to be the closest to The Alchemist itself but the acidic mixture dip will just go wherever so it's not going to be consistent on what it goes for normally you won't really care much about the acidic mixture dip really for this reason because it's probably going to be going on some random tower that really won't do anything like the Moab glue what is that going to do there and it's not worth it to just get acidic mixture dips to receive the buff the one use for using acidic mixture dip which is kind of important is that you can use it to Mi skip some Towers if you can isolate acidic mixture DPS to only be on a specific Tower and this works better on some Towers than others although it is a little bit risky so you kind of need to know what you're doing for this one um if you do that then you will have the ability to be able to pop ddts on a sharp or shatter type actually in this case this is a shatter type Tower so you don't have to spend money on the MIB and you also get plus one damage to lead plus one damage to fortification and plus one damage to Moab which is actually a pretty big deal this is a kind of more advanced strategy so just keep that in mind usually in most cases for most players the acidic mixture dip is just something not to be worried about it's just completely out of your control and that's the case for it so anyways let's take a look at this wild world of Al buff cross pathing and just as a note I'm like not totally 100% sure on anything that I'm saying I'm just telling you that I I kind of have a a good idea probably better than like any other YouTuber that would tell you this I at least I hope so but it's just absolutely crazy so let's take a look at the difference between getting a stronger stimulant and a Berserker Brew we both have a 420 and a 32 Tower here and the stronger stimulant will be giving an applied better buff and is going to last longer 55 shots compared to 40 in this case with that 420 and a 320 but one thing to note is that the stronger stimulate obviously gets more but it's a lot more expensive and for a lot of Cheaper towers that this really isn't worth it and especially with the 320 giving 40 shots it's still going to be buffing a significant amount of projectiles only a little bit more and if the tower is going to be not attacking totally as fast it might even just have the same up time as a stronger stimulant and because you don't get another plus one damage it's just more Pierce more attack speed a little bit more attack speed a little bit more range then it's not that good one thing to note though is that with the 42 you will have the ability to more likely be able to get two towers um buffed so you could use a 42 and be having primarily buffing that sun avatar for example and then also would be getting saw a little bit so that is kind of one more case to use it and and then the other thing to note is that it's going to be dependent on price a lot a double shot ninja is going to get insane benefit from a Berserker Brew but you would not want to buff a Berserker Brew even though I mean you would not want to buff a double shot ninja even though it gets like doubles its more than doubles its damage from the Berserker Brew compared to like a sun Avatar that would only increase its damage by like about 40ish per. but it's going to be worth it on more expensive Towers because comparative to the cost you're going to be getting a lot of value you're not going to want to pay double the amount on a tower to get 50% more Buff when you could just get more damage by getting another of that Tower or upgrading it instead so that Berserker Brew is going to be more worth it on a d uh blo Jitsu instead of just a double shot but if you're going to be going for a blo Jitsu you're going to be totally fine Al buffing that double shot ninja and then get the Bon jitu later cuz at the end of the day you're going to get the same this would same apply for uh stem buffing a blon Jitsu this is a complete waste of money that thing's way too expensive and you're really not getting much benefit compared to the cost that you're going to be spending so on a balloon Jitsu for example you just keep it with the tier three and this is going to be a big thing for a lot of towers whether or not it's worth it will really come down to a lot of cases I can't just make a huge list and be like this Tower you get this this this it really depends on whether you think it's going to be worth and personal experience there are a lot of towers that are really on an extremely vague line um so whether you think it's going to be worth it you can put it down um if it's like slightly better slightly worse optimally mathematically it isn't really going to matter too much so don't fret like if it's if you're out buffing a I don't know say dark night and some people will be like actually it might not be worth it it might be worth it so yeah anyways for the cost comparison it's kind of the same as overclock just to make things a little bit easier if I have one overclock I definitely want to overclock the dark champion and not this blo Jitsu and it's kind of the same for stronger stimulant if you're going to be getting a stronger stimulant for example you definitely want to get the better Tower with the priority buff um or compared to if you have your money you definitely want to spend it on one Tower another thing to note is that if your towers are kind of far apart you definitely can just put down two Berserker brus two Berserker brusis is roughly about the same price as one stronger stimulant with 32 Al buff it's just a little bit more um so using two Berserker brw instead of one stronger stimulant is often quite used and there's going to be some cases where that is going to be better another thing to note is that you can't ALK buff an alchemist so don't try to do that another thing to note is that some Towers just should not be ALK buffed at all and this is many Towers some Towers your attacks will not receive Al buff like we are not going to get Pierce on the XXL Trap by Al buffing it sub towers and a lot of other Towers just won't be able to receive it Al for example won't this commanche Commander uh this the attacks and stats are great for Al buff but these guys are all sub Tower so they are not going to be getting the AL buff so we don't want to really Al buff a commanche commander and many other things so we can get a tower that is very expensive or comparative to the price range the attack speed damage and all that stuff is going to be very good on these towers but we take something like an Apache Prime you can see on round 98 just Apache Prime alone by itself with a funky Pursuit targeting it's starting to chase some of like these moabs and stuff so we can add a stronger simulant to the sky and make it way better of course so now in this part I guess I'm going to be talking about like kind of what makes it good so let's watch how better this is and oh wait it's actually like kind of doing the same it's still chasing and just on these bfbs alone it's going all the way to the end so this is kind of an example where you would not want to Alec buff in Apache Prime and that's because you really got to look at the stats and look at what makes it good so the Berserker Brew is or stronger stimulant is going to be giving um some damage some Pierce some attack speed some range the attack speed range um kind of goes without saying but the damage and Pierce is what we're looking for so really the towers that are going to be benefiting the best are going to be towers that have low Piers low damage and a lot of projectiles now it goes beyond this there are towers that don't really fit this category but still do well with Al buff but these are the towers that are going to be doing the best in so if we looked at that overdrive against just regular Ceramics a lot got through but when you Al buff it it's totally different like three four times better than if it didn't have an Al buff which is absolutely crazy so overdrive is great with Al buff so now it's going be really weird when I say you don't want to get o Al buff on overdrives because when we go from an individual overdrive that you would Al buff and start spamming them this is where you don't want to out buff them so if we have a lot of times in like spam strategies it's going to be extremely expensive to Al buff all of these and instead of giving them plus one damage by getting Al buff on like getting a ton of Al Buffs we can instead bring damage debuffs and this is where it changes things so instead of having low damage now these guys have high damage and it's no longer worth it to Al buff so when we bring in some damage debuffs to a Spam strategy or just in general but most times in spam strategies cuz that's where you have tons of projectiles damage debuffs go crazy you always get these guys and this is going to be changing the stats and how we look at how Al Buff's going to affect it so instead of doubling the damage bringing from one damage to two now it's only going to be giving a 10% increase cuz we get uh glue storm embrittlement maybe even Gwen's heated up so it's going to be a lot very worth it to not very worth it and this can affect regular Towers too but most of the time not really and also you don't get Al buff on only these specific towers that have low damage low Pierce and lots of projectiles it's going to work on most towers as long as they have maybe one of those but there are some towers that really don't have any of those like Apache Prime where it has pretty good Pierce really really high Dam really high damage is particularly the big one where you don't want to Al buff and stuff like that so A lot of times you'll have to look at the tower see the projectiles and by the way it's kind of important to note um I guess I didn't do it be there before but a shot used up is based on the volley so something like that overdrive it has a ton of projectiles each uh ring of projectiles that goes out is considered one shot so something like the sky Shredder is going to be great with Alec buff normally You' throw an Alec buff on that guy but the Apache Prime not really you're not going to be doing it it Wast a lot of shots ex same with like super high attack speed it's going to just fly through the shots so you really need to look at the stats see if it's worth it and see what other debuffs or damage applies you're going to have cuz sometimes a tower might go from wanting to get that uh Al buff to not being worth it anymore kind of complicated but I hope you understand that now let's take a look at this tier three and these tier Three cross pth I said most of the time we're going to be getting 320 cuz 320 is kind of insane but let's take a look at some of these main moabs here and these guys are going to be they don't really do damage but we can see which one does the damage shot at the most shots therefore it's going to have the most effective stun you're always going to want out buff these 4 to0 mate moabs so let's see which cross path will be the best and this is kind of a rare case where 320 is not the best normally you get 320 because 25 shots to 40 is a huge increase but if you have a very slow attacking tower that gets out buff then you want to get 301 like in this case where we'll see 301 actually did the best here because it's going to refresh faster the 301 has faster attack speed so the BW will go back faster but the 320 just has so much more projectiles that it's generally way better so only if the tower is not going to waste up the 30 uh amount of projectiles so the 25 shots then the 301 is going to be better because it will refresh this is extremely rare because really slow attacking Towers generally are not good with Berserker Brew this is not because slow attacking towers are bad with Berserker Brew it's just because there's a consistency that slow attacking Towers tend to not do well but main Moab is one that you do want to Al buff and it's very slow attacking so just a 301 is fine you don't want to get a stem on this guy so anyways now let's take a look look at with two towers so basically here we're going to be doing some tests where we have two Berserker breus and a stronger stimulant and in this case the stronger stimulant will do better than the two Berserker bruise but it's kind of odd and there's a whole bunch of reasons why this might be the case and on top of that there's also reasons why two Berserker brus can do better so let's just start off by saying that when you have the stronger stimulant you're going to want it on the tower that's going to be getting the most effect so I'm going to put the stronger stimulant on the Moab domination then it's going to go to second closest Tower which we ideally want to have as the tack Zone over here now the thing about this is that the stronger stimulant will not give an extra damage which is a big thing to note but it will give extra Pierce and tax speed a little bit lasts a little longer and it's going to go to two other Towers so you could either have each Tower having its own Berserker Brew which is slightly weaker but you're going to get more shots taken out or you could have one that will get a better buff generally and then push over the rest to another Tower so if you're going to have one Tower that's lopsidedly better a stronger stimulant will be then lopsidedly better in that situation and also another thing to note is Pierce so if we have a tower that benefits a lot more from getting additional Pierce it's going to do way better if you have the stem on it compared to the Berserker Brew because the Berserker Brew only gives plus one pierce as compared to the stronger stimulate which will give Plus three which is pretty big deal for some Towers not a lot of towers though there are a lot of towers that have more than enough Pierce and most situations in a normal game you're not going to be using all of that pierce meaning that it will be to no effect this example kind of does that dirty by really Pierce capping a lot of these towers in normal games and normal situations especially against stuff like ddts you're not going to be using all that pierce so this example kind of Lop sides towards that the other big thing to note is that this test would have gone differently in favor for the Berserker Brew if the towers were a lot more even as if we didn't have one of our Towers being significantly stronger than the other and also if both of the towers didn't rely on getting extra Pierce so much or didn't benefit from getting extra Pierce so much so depending on the situation if one Tower is stronger than the other or you need Pierce getting two Berserker Bru can be better than getting one stronger stimulate but also one stronger stimulate can be better than getting two Berserker anyways let's go on to this next test let's take a look at this Elite Defender now this guy is kind of an example of a tower that you might not want Al buff um based on just single Target damage where we have a 205 and we're just sending a balloon so we can see spending the AL buff it of course gets more Pops against a single Target but it isn't that much and that's because this guy has a lot of damage crazy fast attack speed it's just going to shoot through everything like not a lot of projectiles it's not that good but another weird thing is that in Al buffing and Elite Defender can be good if you have an o25 cuz all of those shrapnel will be getting the AL buff it's especially good with Perma you'll see Perma Elite Defender a lot but it might also be a bit crazy when I say of Al buffed 20 a 205 Elite Defender that has all that single Target damage in shimps games before and that's because of layer skipping you can introduce this weird thing where we skip layers on like Ceramics this only applies for pre- round 80 though so not round 81 plus this doesn't apply for like pretty much all games so it's not really much to worry about but I guess I might as well note this because getting plus one damage can layer skip balloons meaning that instead of spawning a bajillion children it will skip past that layer and decrease the amount of Pierce needed a lot which can help for the elite defender in some cases so that's kind of crazy not really too big of a deal let's move on to the next situation though where we look at the 401 versus 420 so as I said before and as you can see the 320 goes from 25 to 40 projectiles which is a huge difference the 420 only goes from 40 to 55 which isn't that big which brings up a lot of room for a 401 to be better where it refreshes faster and can bring things to multiple targets so this time we're still going to be looking at two towers here and we can see that the 401 will let some stuff by but the 420 generally will do a little bit better although I was very surprised on this test this is something that I did not expect and I redid this a whole bunch of times there was a ton of RNG generally the 42 only did a little bit better and that was something that I honestly did not expect at all so basically the 401 will be giving the Brew out more consistently to the other Tower while 420 will be more concentrated in one area another thing to also note is that 42o does have the ability to deal more damage which isn't really a whole lot but what is a lot is the ability to strip fortification off super Ceramics which can be more effective than you might think so on Two Towers 420 I'd say generally is better but it honestly surprising surprised me how close it was there and how in one example even got 401 to be better on Two Towers alone now what I did find to be better though is when we have a whole bunch of towers um when we kind of have a Spam strategy of say the subs for example the 420 did worse than the 401 that's because with 420 we can only buff Two Towers it won't go to a third Tower but with 41 out it's going to spread it out to the three towers the buff won't be as good on each of the three towers but this generally will get you more damage than if you were to have the 420 again though it was actually kind of surprising it was pretty darn close like it wasn't like that one of them was significantly better than the other it's just that in like these tests um kind of simple tests the they were pretty close like in comparison to each other so these spam strategies where Alchemist is involved are pretty limited SubCom is one of them popl plus Druids is another but other ones where you're going to have a lot of projectiles you tend to get debuffs put in and they're going to make the Alchemist kind of obsolete as I had mentioned before but for these Subs they do you have a good amount of projectiles you do have good amount of Pierce decent amount of damage they'll work well with alks and want to Al buff Thum so we're want to we want to spread them out so we don't have to buy a ton of alks you could just buy uh an ALK for every two subs so in this case it would be three 420 Alchemists but at that point you're spending a lot of money on Alchemists and it generally is not worth it cuz you could instead use that money on something like a Mo up glue so you'd have a good mix of the damage the support for the Alchemists and then other support and that would do better in a total setup than compared to having so many Alchemists now I guess I'll take this time to note that before like for all the other stuff that I seen I was very confident about this um I do have a ton of experience I've used these towers a lot kind of know like what's the deal with these ones but with these tests the 401 and 4 2 comparisons kind of stumped me a little bit I wasn't like I kind of knew what was going on but not really fully and they were way closer in comparison of like how well they did than I would have ever expected so the difference between 42 and 401 is not really I guess something that I'm so confident in saying but generally you could sum it up as 420 on two towers and 401 on three towers that don't do a significant amount of damage to Warrant their own Alchemist so that's kind of how it go now another interesting thing is that pierce there are some towers that benefit a lot from Pierce it's not as common has towers that benefit from damage but there are some towers that will benefit more from plus one pierce and plus Dam than plus one damage and this case would be like Inferno ring that meteor deals I think in this case 1,000 damage cuz it's a 502 so if we increase plus one damage it's going to go to 1,000 to 1,1 damage which is not that good but if we increase the Pierce by plus one it will double the amount of damage so being able to upgrade to stimulant on this guy giving it way more Pierce will allow it to do way more damage so it's a rare case but if there's towers that have a ton of damage it can increase their pierce with their stronger stimulant and that will make it a lot more effective so one big uh issue with the stronger simulant is it doesn't give more damage and a lot of towers want the damage they don't want the Pierce they want the damage but for the rare few towers that do want the the Pierce then you can do that too this also can kind of work for towers that just have really low Pierce but it isn't as big of a deal as towers that have really high damage and need some Pierce so another thing is Perma Brew the tier five it makes everything per and this guy is more simple there's no cross paths cuz everything's permanent we don't have to deal with cross paths that is super nice cuz there's a lot of shenanigans I've been talking for 20 minutes about cross paths already and there's still more to come so with this Perma Brew when we get this guy we're just going to want to spam projectiles that's really the name of the game projectiles low Pierce all that stuff is going to be good and the great thing now is attack speed we don't care about wasting shots with attack speed so we can ramp up everything with attack speed too and when we get Perma Brew there's no deal of how many Towers we have so you just get all of them and they'll go crazy so whenever you get Perma Brew just keep in mind you want to make the most out of it now Heroes also can be Al buff a lot of them do quite well with Al buff some of them don't but uh something like Quincy maybe s Adora and a bunch of others you can Al buff them and they'll get levels up and they'll do better with that Al buff later so a lot of times just going to uh berser Brew in there will work out and it will help out a bit so now it's time for the notes to end and here's a quick brief overview of what I said so AMD we kind of can ignore it for most of the time the priority buff still applies the tower's closest will get the buff this is very big for the 401 versus 420 as the closest Tower will get the more concentrated buff for the 420 while the second tower might not get as much and then for the 401 it's going to be a more even distribution now the Berserker Brew can only buff one Tower so if you have another Tower closest or close nearby it will not get the buff but it could get an AMD buff cuz the AMD buff is random and will go anywhere but if we upgrade this to a stimula a 420 it will buff both of these towers if we want three towers to be buffed with a more even distribution then you could get a 401 but this does not mean that these towers will get a lot of buff so if all three of these towers that we want are very strong and an integral part of our defense it might be more worth it to get one stimulant and a Berserker Brew or three Berserker Brews however if these towers are not really doing a whole lot of damage compared to their price it may be worth it just get 1401 it's all about that price and if these towers are going to be doing so much for so for a Spam strategy like SubCom it's going to be a lot more worth it to get these guys cuz we don't want to spend a whole Alchemist on just one sub and something for like a pop plus two there's going to be a lot of them and it's not worth it to spend a whole Alchemist on one so so you just get one 401 and give a weaker buff to three weaker towers as opposed to a stronger buff to just two weaker Towers whereas opposed to a stronger buff would more be suited for a stronger Tower instead of giving a weaker buff to a stronger Tower and two other random Towers for super slow attacking Towers you could just get a 301 Alchemist this is kind of rare though that example was on the main Moab and there's also a bunch of great areas where you may want to or may not want to Al of tower an example for that may be like Robo monkey and and spam strategies this will alter a lot Perma Brew is great super cool way less complicated than all of the other guys and so yeah that's kind of it again there's so so much more about this it's very complicated ated and I kind of have a good grasp on it besides the whole 420 and 401 honestly if you have like more input I guess you could tell me but that is kind of all you need to know for the basics there's a whole lot of other stuff that uh expert chimps people do like for example when I'm playing chimps I try to only like cut stronger stimulants out of wherever it's possible I try to play Greedy and when doing save UPS we usually try to not Al buff a whole lot but we need to identify when an Al buff is necessary because it could be worth it to get an Al buff because you aren't going to have to spend to money on other stuff but then we also often need to try to identify where an Al buff may not possibly needed for a regular gam play If you're trying to get through the black borders this really doesn't matter you just want Al buff to keep your Towers strong and decide you just need to know which Al buff is going to be better in this General circumstance and uh what towers you do want to Al buff which ones you don't want to Al buff cuz you definitely don't want to be Al buffing towers that really shouldn't get Al buff like the um Apache Prime for example however you'll actually see I mean this is kind of just a side note that I put in um you will see alff on Apache Prime mostly for the reason that alff is very good on the tier three and I guess all right on the tier four not as good there um and you'll need alff on the tier three to really push to the tier four and then for there it's just along with the ride so if you just have an Apache Prime you don't want to put an extra Al or upgrade that thing to stimulant just keep that in mind so anyways I guess as an example here at the end we do have an example run cuz why not I'll throw in an example run of a Perma Brew strategy um so we'll just get our stimulant up here that's going to be buffing Quincy and it's also going to go over to that Super Monkey 2 keeping that submarine for that deamo out of the way of course so that isn't going to be getting the buff it's a 420 so we're going to be getting these two guys um the cross path or the Perma Brew doesn't matter but we're using the cross path to help us the mid game cuz I kind of want that I want to be buffing the uh Super Monkey up there well too and I didn't mention this before but you never want to get like just a 40 ALK if you're getting only a 40 ALK uh a 32 would definitely be better in that case or just spend a little extra money it's going to make it so much better to cross path The Alchemist if it's 40 so we have that it's going to be doing super super well and we're going to get a sun Avatar and I'm just going to be Perma brewing a bunch of sun avatars cuz they're going to be doing very well with the Perma Brew with it's very laidback so you can relax once you get Perma Brew um you just start spaming a ton of damage towers that will do well with it and everything will be super cool and super awesome I'm just going to have to get something else here in the mid game to kind of help we're going to be pushing for 51k it's not too crazy expensive it got a nerfed or buffed in price I mean so it went from 64k to 51k did I say 64k before I don't know well it's 51,000 um so it's nice and cheap we can get it fairly easily and once we get that we kind of spent like a whole 60 or like yeah like 60-ish a bit under that th000 on support so in a way uh we really need some damage so we'll just Spam some damage it's kind of very reverse to what typically might do cuz normally you're building and saving up for your damage Tower in the mid game and then once you get that you want to build on your support but now in the mid game we're saving up for a really expensive support Tower and then after that we need to build our damage in the late game which is kind of odd but it is pretty cool um with that being said you don't want to like not get support uh getting like a MOAB glue is going to be good um often times you still unless it's like a crazy spam with like a ton of overdrives and you have a good hero that will do well with it you might need something against round 100 typically not really a lot though um if you can if the map is good for storm you can get a spike storm and it's going to go crazy it's going to do a ton of damage so that's pretty cool but Prim Brew is very laid-back really it's it's a fun Tower it's awesome and there's so many great Perma Bru strategies so if you aren't using this guy you definitely got to check it out anyways we're just going to aim to get it before round 85 before those two zomgs if you watch my videos a lot you know that that's where the mid game ends unless you have a zely of course um I wouldn't necessarily use a zely with a Perma Brew though but yeah you know um that's kind of where things get super hard the zomgs are super tanky they have super Ceramics in them it's just not fun so you get Perma Brew pretty early St around there now that we have it or sun Avatar is going to be going insane there's a bunch of other towers that will work out really well shrapnel Elite Defender is really cool overdrives are great uh popless Druids are good and they're really best if you have Obin Obin and a popless druid spam is quite fun and good to do uh Robo monkeys are great Sun avatars are great uh destroyers are awesome a Brickle perm Brew Destroyer strategy is just so much fun if you if you haven't done that you have to check it out too there's so many things so many cool things to do with Prim fruit but anyways that's going to be it it was a crazy video definitely unlike the other ones and uh yeah it's complicated Tower but very necessary you're going to be having this guy in every single game and it is good to at least know what to do thanks for watching if you want to help out the channel you
