hello everyone just a quick update video on my Miele W1 Excellence washing machine some of you may remember that the first one I had developed a fold when it was just over a year old and had to be replaced by a brand new machine because the fault couldn't be repaired the fault was with the twin dos detergent dispensing system so anyway it's been three months and it's been fine so far I've just run out of the ultra phase one detergent that's empty now so I'll be replacing that in this video but also I'll be doing the twin dos care maintenance program I was advised by the engineer to run a twin dos Care Program once every three months so I wrote it on my calendar and it's now three months since I got this washer so I'm going to do the maintenance program to make sure that the twin dos system is kept clean so hopefully I won't have the same faults as I did with my previous model the first thing I need to do is to turn the program selector to further programs using the arrow buttons we need to go down until we find maintenance press ok we don't want to use the Clean Machine program so we want to press the arrow down again and now we get twin dos maintenance okay and we're going to start by maintaining compartment number one which holds the ultra phase one detergent so yes okay start maintenance scroll down yes okay now it's asking me to insert twin dos care cleaning agent in compartment number one so you open the compartment at the bottom of the washing machine and you can see it's clearly marked one and two so we need to remove container number one by pressing the little orange button and that will pop out and as you can see that's completely empty so that needs to be placing once I've done the twin dos maintenance so we're going to take the twin dos care bottle and you can buy this direct from Mila or selected Miele dealers because I've never used this before it still has the foil cap on we need to make sure that we remove it properly later versions of this might have a different sort of cap there we are then we're going to insert the twin dos care container into compartment number one here this way up push it in it will click into position then we can just close the door and now all I have to do is press the start button I'm not sure if the microphone can pick it up but there's a very faint whirring going on in the vicinity of the twin dos compartments and as we can see from the display the countdown will tell us when the actual maintenance cycle has finished oh foreign so that's the maintenance cycle completed for compartment number one and it's asking me now to remove container number one and now the display has come up with twindos maintenance again and we do want to clean compartment number two so I'm going to press ok and now instead of Maintenance compartment one we need to use the arrow down and select compartment two okay start maintenance yes okay and now it's asking us to insert the twin dos care cleaning agent in compartment number two first I need to remove the ultra Phase 2 detergent and insert the twin dos care cartridge so now when I press the start button the machine will run the same maintenance program through compartment number two foreign so prompted by the display I can now remove container number two and that's the twin dos maintenance completed before you replace the detergent containers it's a good idea to give the compartment a good Wipeout make sure that there's no residue of detergent left in there before replacing the detergent containers you need to turn the machine on sew in goes Ultra phase one into compartment number one press it until it clicks if you're putting back a partially used container you need to select no when the machine asks you if you've replaced it but I'm replacing it with a brand new container so I need to say yes so I'm going to scroll down to yes and say OK the detergent agent is yes so in further programs I've scrolled down to the settings so we can press ok and then I need to go down to Twin dos select detergent okay agent for one Ultra phase one okay set the dosage I'll just check if the dosage is the same as I had it at 35 I think that's how much I had it on so that's okay and I don't need to do ultra phase two because I'm not doing anything with it I've just replaced an existing bottle so that's all done I can just now switch off the machine I'm not replacing my ultra phase two I'm simply reinserting a partially used bottle so now I need to confirm no on the display because I'm not replacing a bottle I'm reinserting an existing one so all I have to do here is press ok and that's it after a certain number of washes the Miele will prompt you to do a clean machine cycle this can be selected by turning the program dial to further programs and scrolling down to the maintenance section and selecting clean machine I prefer to use Mila's own maintenance powder but I don't have any at the moment so I'm just going to use some Dr Beckman service it deep clean I have found that some liquid washing machine cleaners do produce an excessive amount of foam so I'd avoid using those in your Miele but I found the Dr Beckman service it one is pretty good oh foreign [Music] [Music] well there you go that's almost the end of this video it's a good idea after any wash program to give the door seal a bit of a Wipeout to make sure it's dry and then you're not going to get that black slimy smelly stuff developing on your washing machine door seal also it's a good idea to leave the door slightly ajar so air can circulate if
