According to an experiment, running away from an anti-vision can increase your efforts by 4-5x compared to running towards a dream vision. But there is another strategy that can boost your efforts by 18-20x. In this video, I'll explain how you can apply it to your life, and at the end, give you insights that will make the strategy even more potent. Now let's get back to the video. An experiment was conducted with rats, where they attached some sort of spring to their tail to measure their pulling strength. When placing a piece of cheese in front of it, the pulling strength was measured as 1. When placing the smell of a cat urine, behind it, the pulling strength increased by 4 to 5x. But although the pulling strength increased, the rat only pulled for half the distance.
In other words, the absolute motivation increased, but the duration decreased. But here is the crazy part. When placing the smell of cat urine behind it and a piece of cheese in front of it, the pulling strength increased by 18 to 20x, and the distance doubled. In other words, both the absolute motivation and duration increased. So what can we learn from this?
Running towards a desire or a vision is good, but running away from fear and anti-vision is even more powerful. But the most powerful is running away from fear and towards a desire at the same time. How do we specifically apply it to our own life?
First, write down your vision and anti-vision. Second, and here is the detail, create a vision board and an anti-vision board. Remember, A picture is worth a thousand words.
Lastly, make it a daily habit to look at your board. Incorporate it into your daily routine. I look at mine every morning. I have done so for years. The only reason we fall off our path is because we forget our purpose.
By seeing them every day, you'll keep it at the forefront of your mind and never forget again. If you found this video valuable, chances are others just like you will too. Make YouTube suggest this video to them by liking it, commenting your thoughts down below, and sharing it with your friends.
