Notes from War Thunder Streaming and Tutorial Session

now that I'm streaming War Thunder I figured I'd let you guys know that uh you know I have a friend that's in the military and he was talking to like his commanding officer and uh you know apparently what we're going to be doing in Ukraine is that I'm just kidding but I don't know how many [ __ ] times that's happened I really don't I've heard about at least five or six yeah I didn't realize that this game was so popular I legit had no [ __ ] idea let's [ __ ] do it we will play this game yeah this game is huge I had no idea don't play top tier without setting your keybinds you're going to suffer well we're going to we're going to just do this we're going to see what happens all right tutorial airplanes welcome to part one of the basic tutorial here you will learn the basics of aerial combat okay in Mouse aim mode you can control your plane simply by pointing the cursor at the place where you want to fly to got it Point your cursor at the that's it proceed into the way wa okay increase the throttle to fly faster okay increase the throttle to 100% okay I'm going up I can see at the top can I shoot it decrease the throttle to fly slower why would I want to go slow decrease the throttle to 30% I'm a I'm going fall out of the air you can see the aircraft's current speed in the upper left corner of the screen okay got it 292 the current engine power percentage is shown above it well I thought it was throttle okay as you can see the aircraft speed depends on its engine power decrease the power if you want to fly slower increase it if you need to fly faster got it increase the throttle until War emergency power is enabled warp engage [Music] okay the button to continue fly with W okay I'm going really fastp lets you fly at maximum spe easy each Mission has its own goals and objectives yeah shoot the other guys completed in order to [Music] win okay your first enemy is before you a balloon it's practically immobile to destroy an immobile Target you need to aim at it and shoot press the fire button to destroy the balloon man they really treat you like you're a [ __ ] idiot in this huh you can see several markers on the screen the mouse targeting cursor that you're playing follow follows the targeting Crosshair that shows where the main Armament of the plane is aimed and the lead angle indicator which is the most important as it shows where you need to shoot to hit the opponent okay you will be unable to hit your opponent if you move the targeting cursor onto them with your mouse the rounds will fly in the direction that the Crosshair is a yeah sure I get it yeah no that's simple yeah you will also be unable to hit a moving object if you move the targeting Crosshair directly onto it as the target will move while the rounds fly forward and the burst will miss why don't just shoot in front of it why can't you just do that that seems simple what's the problem okay to hit the opponent put the targeting Crosshair over the the lead angle indicator of the enemy playing this easy bro I'm ready to play is this me yeah [Music] see okay got it [ __ ] dead you need to fire right at it to hit the target aim and keep now your aircraft has started to turn towards the target you need to aim the cross at the lead angle indicator come here now I shoot I shoot his ass come here you piece of [ __ ] why is he not [ __ ] dead I'm I'm going to destroy the fighting you will often encounter enemy ground equipment the ground vehicle counter will often appear during missions this shows the number of enemy Vehicles you need to destroy to win [Music] okay zoom in to see your target better return to the original view no I want to shoot it your machine gun yeah I know I get it now you need to steer away from the ground to quickly change the direction your aircraft is heading move the cursor to the edge of the screen and there okay so that's what happens if I do that use them to destroy the truck I mean how am I supposed to know right you want to get why don't you get out of the airplane I'm like what air what do you mean what do you mean airplane and finally I just got out of the airplane L and I walked home I did I walked home and I felt like a [ __ ] idiot you saw the clip I did and finally I uh so I went to a private server and I taught myself how to fly an airplane in Rust and I spent like I I I'm not even kidding like 3
