listen up if you hate writing resumés I'm going to teach you how to use chat gbt for resumé writing and job hunting by the end of this video you'll have exactly what you need to save hours of writing time and to create a much better resume using chat gbt today we are going to cover how to use chat gbt to find the right keywords that need to go in your resumés that we are ready for those ATS scanners that are looking for the keywords we're going to talk about how to use chat G BT to write us some truly incredible amazing bullet points for our resume so all our accomplishments are jumping off the page we'll talk about how to write cover letters in but a single moment one of the most terrible tasks we have to do in our job search Chat GPT is going to take care of that for us we'll talk about how to use chat GPT to get scripts you can send in when you're applying to the job so you don't have to think about what to say in that awkward situation we'll be interspersing plenty of things to not do when using chat GPT during our job search and of course I'm going to be sharing my very secret sauce to building an incredible chat gbt resume at the end of this video so make sure you stick around for that as well let's go so first we need to pump our resumés full of keywords because both the hiring manager and the ATS scanning software are looking for these keywords in your resume so if you don't have the right keywords your resume is is getting thrown straight in the trash so to do this head on over to chat GPT of course and we're going to plug this prompt into chat GPT and then below this we are going to paste in the job description of the job we want to apply to this is going to give us the exact keywords that we need to put in our resume now a critical part of using chat GPT for resume writing or for anything for that matter is to use your brain so take this pledge with me I solemnly swear to never insert anything into my resume that chat gbt wrote which I haven't read thought about and approved myself think of yourself as the editor and chat gbt as the writer the editor cannot let something get published without approving it first you cannot share anything chat gbt wrote without reviewing it and approving it before it goes in your resume promise good okay so this is the list of key skills that chat GPT came up with obviously as we talked about we're not going to take these all at face value but most of them are extremely useful for what we want to do which is pop these into our resume make sure you're using your head and adding additional skills that you have and think are valuable as well but this is definitely an outstanding start next we're going to hop over to our resume template and if you don't have a modern well-designed resum template I've linked down below to all my resumé templates I have some free ones in there have some premium ones this is one of them this is the newest one I created and I'm a huge fan uh but in here we are going to start to add those skills so we'll put our best two skills right up here professional titles we'll mention some of them in sort of ways we're going to describe ourselves here in the professional summary and we're just going to add all the rest here in professional skills and technical skills and that is going to look something like this TAA so you can see we've now already optimized the entire upper half of our res with keywords that the hiring manager and the ATS scanner need to see all right now we already have a very solid start here in triggering the ATS scanners to tell the hiring managers that we are qualified the robots and the people both think that we are good enough for this job that they're going to actually read our experience so let's talk about how to make the experience section absolutely amazing so that they are ready to invite you into the interviews and right before we get to the most important an part take a second to like this video And subscribe to starting to write our bullet points we're first going to paste in a prompt that looks like this so This primes chat gbt to create a great resume bullet point for us then we're just going to copy and paste our old resumé bullet point into that same prompt and hit enter or if you don't have a bullet point to use for this story you want to tell just type out what happened in your own words with as much detail as possible and if you're not sure what you should be talking about in your resume bullet points come back to all these key skills that we added here we want to give as many tangible examples of these skills in our bullet points as we possibly can so as you can see underneath the prompt that we gave you for chat gbt I just added a little story in my own words that is going to help give chat gbt enough information to make a bullet point for me so let's put that in there and this has turned out a great very usable bullet point that we can put now into our resume then we're just going to repeat that process till our resume is all full of amazing bullet points like these now if you want to take this chat GPT resumed writing process 10 levels higher you can actually train chat gbt to simulate the hiring manager who's hiring for this job and give you direct feedback based on how your resume lines up for the job you're applying to you can also ask them to write for you exactly what should go in your resume and cover letter for the specific job that you want I explain exactly how to do all that advanced job search work and how to give chat GPT feedback so that it can to never write a cover letter ever again I'm going to give you one quick prompt you can use to customize every cover letter you're ever going to need so the only thing you're going to have to write is the company name and job title so this is a matching cover letter template that goes with the resume template I was showing you earlier as always this is linked Down Below in the description you can access it on my website let's talk about what to put in here so for the first paragraphs feel free to use exactly what I said word for word just fill in these little gaps here same with the closing paragraph you can borrow this language word for word again just fill in the company name and you are good to go now let's talk about what to put put in the middle and chat GPT is really going to help us with this so we're going to add this prompt into chat GPT and then we'll hop back over to our resume and grab our four best bullet points and we'll paste those in here and see what comes out okay this is pretty solid so we're going to take these four bullet points read them make sure they're accurate make sure we like how they're phrased and then we're going to put those in the cover letter so that's going to look like this and then our next job is to just fill in this side with our key skills again we'll just pick whatever key skills are most related to the stories in these bullet points that came from that original key skills list cuz we do need to keyword optimize our cover letter as well and once we have these titles in here we have a fully completed cover letter and we barely had to write a word now when you're done your resume and cover letter it's time to apply to the job and if you need a little customized message to send with your resume and cover letter over to the hiring manager give chat gbt this prompt for the message that we are going to include in our email to the hiring manager with our resume and cover letter I'm going to give chat GPT this prompt and then again
