[Music] hi friends welcome back today I want to teach you some clothing items ok so now we're gonna be able to start just describing what you're wearing and what your friends are wearing it's a great way to bring in a conversation ok so make sure you have your quad I don't know and or papel and your broom ah and get ready to write because here come a few words I don't want to give you too many words today I'm gonna give you some basic clothing words so there aren't that many but it'll get you started okay and then we'll bring some more end in the future all right here we go clothing in general is this word la ropa la ropa now we don't typically make that plural so that robot means clothing in general ok we like to say clothes in English and make it plural but don't have to do that now let's talk about some specific clothing first of all shirt is la da Mesa la camisa alright in the next one only give you is la camisa de la camisa which is it's also a shirt me a t-shirt and all you got to do is just change the ending a little bit so you have a different type of theory so so la camisa and lacA me said that now pants pants is a singular word el and alone el pant alone and that means a pair of pants it's it's a singular thing where is in English we say pants and we put an s on it but don't have to do that either ok now let's talk about the waist here L seem to roll it seemed to roll which is the belt it's the belt now I will say this your you'll hear different words belt I know in Mexico that a lot of times I'll use a different word for that as well but we'll start with cinturón and move from there later okay seem to wrong and next let's go to our socks socks are masculine in its los gatos a penis los gatos a penis and shoes are los zapatos los zapatos the shoes a tie is la corbata la corbata now let's go to our jacket jacket is la Chiquita it almost sounds like jacket la Chiquita and now el Abrigo el Abrigo that's a that's a coat okay so el Abrigo and now let's talk about the skirt la falda la falda la Fonda is skirt next el vestido el vestido this is a dress el vestido and one more scale one more clothing word el traje el traje now traje means suit and we can also change this a little bit just like we do in English we say I'm wearing a suit but in the summertime when we go swimming we wear a bathing suit and so we can do the same thing we have to Rocky if we're gonna say bathing suit we say la placa de baño dry hay de baño a suit of bathing so just flip it around a little bit okay we do that a lot in Spanish we say bathing suit pseudo bathing we we have to kind of do that in Spanish sometimes to describe from what we're talking about now I want to tell you two verbs that are gonna go right along with these clothing items and they'll get you practicing the first verb is Assad Assad it's an AR verb obviously and the second verb is this one Yvonne Yvonne now Mossad literally means to use okay but in certain countries they use that just to talk about what they're wearing especially in Mexico if you're there and most of time when somebody is talking about what they're wearing they're gonna use Assad however I've been to other places that are going to use ya bod in yeh vada literally means to carry or bring and so they're using that to say we're all right now you can conjugate these verbs already all we have to do is apply those AR verb endings that are in your mind on your AR verb chart printed in there in the brain there oh ah Samos Ison so yo ooh so I'm wearing or yo yevo I'm wearing two S's ooh yay vez la ax y usted yousa la austin y ava etc etc a vamos vamos and so on okay so we can already conjugate those so what you want to do is start talking about what you're wearing now I find that students sometimes make mistakes because they're they leave out the word a or V when necessary but a lot of times we do that just like we do in English so I'm wearing a grey shirt okay and sometimes they'll say I'm wearing grey shirt instead of a grey shirt so just try to piece that together in your mind as you're saying it and before long it'll just sound natural to you let's look at this sentence here I am wearing a white shirt now pigs I'm not wearing a white shirt right now but I picked this as an example because I want you to see something in particular on it so I'm wearing a white shirt you're oh so you could also say you say you're yeah well right una camisa blanca una camisa blanca now what do you notice about that color on the board next to me you'll notice that that color Blanca has an A on it and you might say well I remember learning white when we did colors and but it was Blanco remember that we have to make our adjectives match the noun that they're talking about in Spanish so since shirt is feminine camisa with an A Blanca becomes Blanca and we do the same thing if it's plural we have to make it plural just like in this sentence here we go so she is wearing green shoes she's wearing green shoes yeah Musa or you could say yay vine right cybot dos madidus vadas now of course better they doesn't end in an O or anything so we it ends an e so we don't change it really for gender we're talking about something that's that color we simply put an S on it but we do have to have that s because it's talking about zapatos which is plural all right let's try a couple more here one more at least let's do we are wearing black jackets we are wearing black jackets now you could say yay vamos let's try this verb this time llevamos jacket das jacket hasta negra see both are feminine both are plural they match okay now you could also say Oh Samos couldn't you alright now friends that gets you started I want you to look around you're sitting somewhere maybe you're in a coffee shop or whatever just think about what people are wearing you know you're gonna see some things in the that people are wearing you say I haven't learned that word yet and that's okay describe what you can use what you can write now talk about everything you see that somebody is wearing talk about what you're wearing because this will become natural to you before you know it you're gonna have it down I know you will okay friends thanks for watching thanks for being with me today I hope to see you next time be practicing and I'll see you in the next lesson in the language tutor friends
