Preparing the Image for Slicing
- Setting Guides:
- Guides indicate where the image will be sliced.
- Image layer boundaries act as guides naturally.
- To slice evenly:
- Use Image > Guides > New Guide by Percent.
- Example: Set a horizontal guide at 50% to split an image into two equal parts.
- Additional guides can be added by clicking and dragging from the ruler.
Slicing the Image
- Using the Filter for Web Slicing:
- Navigate to Filters > Web > Slice.
- Choose the destination folder for slices (e.g., Desktop).
- Select image format (e.g., JPEG).
- Click OK to complete the slicing.
Reconstructing the Image
- Bringing Pieces Back into One Canvas:
- Go to File > Open as Layers.
- Select all pieces on the desktop using Shift + Click.
- Open them to import as layers.
- Use the Move Tool to arrange pieces back together using guides as reference.
