he can do great things with people that we may not think could do so great why is that important because one of the strategies of the enemy is to get you to thinking you got to be good enough Before You Can Be Touched to Move It from grace to works from Faith to Performance thats not what it’s about this is by [Music] Grace Marcela casagrandi was a Baptist pastor of a church of 600 part of the story even though he’s charismatic he didn’t like Pentecostalism. He thought it was too loud and too noisy and too weird and he goes to this teaching on healing in a Four Square Church in Brazil. he has to be driven home the first night and the second night he is unconscious they carry him out he doesn’t come to till the next day and then he weeps he when he comes to he’s weeping for three days and nights he doesn’t eat he doesn’t drink for and then it lifts. he goes down and the first person goes down to get bread he prays for a woman she gets healed got a word of knowledge he asked somebody show her yeah thats mine praising and she gets healed goes and get some meat at the butcher prays for the butcher he gets healed last time I saw him I said Marcel how many people youve seen healed how many blind eyes open how many deaf ears open how many lame people's walked how many people of cancer been healed what’s going on tell me cuz every so often he would tell me he said I don’t know I said why don’t you know? He says cuz God said when we reached 500 stop keeping a count of the numbers. I said 500. cumulatively or 500 of each category? He said 500 of each category. he went here was and and this is what listen dont pray God I want what Randys got why cut yourself short why don’t you pray this prayer God I’d like to have double what he’s got because I‘ve really have seen God touch people that I prayed for because I saw him touching them he doesn’t touch them because I lay my hand on them. I lay my hands on them because they’re already touching them that makes you look better that’s smart Ministry trying instead of trying to get him to do what you want you want to bless trying to get him to bless what you’re doing you bless what he's doing but seriously Lord I'd like to be powerfully used in your kingdom and bring you glory I've been in meetings where we saw God doing healings but I remember my heart crying out God thank you for everything you're doing but Jesus is Worthy of more Glory than this release greater Miracles release the do the types of things that causes people's Jaws to drop and causes them to cry out he's holy and he is powerful. Pastor Sylvio was a pastor of a Baptist Church in maah Brazil of 300 the anointing Came Upon him and upon his little church on the wrong side of the tracks down an old dirt road and the next year when we went there he had a church seat 2200. I thought we were at the wrong church right on the Main Street in the city every year we’d go there and see what God was doing is Miracles would take place other Baptist pastors started going to him and said pastor Sylvia why is it your church is growing in ours isn’t and he said you know those things that we do that you don’t like they’re the reason why we’re growing. I remember one time I went there and it iseemed hard for for the first time and like they didn’t know who I was and I complained about I thought he had. I thought Pastor Sylvio had messed up and it split the church or something and when I asked him he said oh Randy they didn’t know who you were. you see this year we planted 23 churches in one year out of my church we sent out 23 congregations you might say because this church had grown so fast and so the I didn’t know how to invite one without another without jealousy and you know how kids can be and so I just didn’t invite anybody and everybody here basically they didn’t know who you were so the first night was hard. next night was a lot easier. last time I talked to Pastor Sylvio who’s still is Baptist in the title of his church he said we have 30,000 people in this city now that belong to our church but he had 300 this is what God can do this any if nothing is happening in your church that good organization and good marketing couldn’t duplicate then why are we laying our lives down why are we spending our time like this it’s only when something is happening that the people have to say thats God that’s right that’s God do you know one of the reasons God chose me I had just been meeting for about 12 years with a pastor group in southern St Louis four or five Lutheran pastors United Church Christ Pastor two or three Southern Baptist pastors and I was the only v i was the vineyard pastor and I remember after Toronto had been going about I dont know 60 70 days or something it went 12 and 1/2 years six nights a week but any anyway um a long as protracted meeting in North American history but anyway um this Lutheran guy called me I mean was as at the meeting went back hadn’t been there in weeks and he said I don’t believe this is God Toronto I said why? He said because you’re leading it and then he said I know you’ll be heard you pray. I pray better than you do. I know the Bible better than you do. I’ve never heard you preach but I believe I could preach better than you can. so why would God choose you instead of me? and I said because I’m a better candidate. he said did you not hear what I just said I said yeah I heard you but haven’t you read where Paul said “God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the strong and the foolish the wise” I’m just weaker and more foolish than you. God is very careful that no one touches his glory that’s why when Gideon had enough people that the people might think by their own strength they that he cut them down to so few that they had to know that this had to be God even my own friends, best friends that I’d known in the past call me up right after Toronto and said Randy is it you? I said I know I’m shocked too!the pastor the largest Pentecostal Church in in St Louis when Toronto broke out was called by one of the pastors of a large Pentecostal Church in Toronto and said do you know know do you know a guy named Randy Clark from St Louis? He said yeah I know Randy Clark he said well he’s leading a Revival a real Revival broken out up here and this Pentecostal guy he told me this story himself. He said Well it can’t be the Randy Clark I know there must be he said well he said he’s from St Louis his name's Randy Clark and this guy said then there has to be two Randy Clarks St Louis that Pastor told me that himself and some of you are thinking God couldn't use me like that if you’re so smart and so anointed that people could say yeah I can see why that happened God gets more Glory out of the surprises! Pastor where Jessica was talking about she did the internship it is the largest Baptist Church traditional Baptist Church in Brazil they decided to have us come in we did a healing school. we I remember in that the old building SE about a thousand um there’s bodies everywhere I mean just everywhere God came our team was just and it was hot it was sweating and and it was but bodies were going everywhere they sent his wife and her best friend a psychologist came to Global summer intensive at Mike leads uh Mike Hutchins here on the front row they went back and they taught what they learned the church grew it’s now around 23,000 people he oversees 700 other churches mainly from Main denominations where those pastors lutherans and Presbyterians and methodists and Mainline people saw what God was doing in his church and said that looks as my friend Tom the tier from Oklahoma right here who went to Brazil with us was there for almost two weeks we’re re getting ready to fly home and he said you know Randy I‘be been in a Ministry I think what did you say 12 over 20 years I forgot 20 I've been in a Ministry I'm Presbyterian got had one of the bigger churches on the East Coast Presbyterian he said I've been in a Ministry 20 years I didn't know Ministry could be this much fun it's a lot more fun when you're coll laboring than when you're laboring by yourself Jesus makes our yoke easy and his burden is light why we wouldn't want to share I don't know well I'm going to skip all these Brazilian pastures I want to talk about some women this woman named Ruth in in Goan is Brazil she wasn't even a cell group leader in a cell group church I prayed for there a church now of 30 some th000 when we first went there it was 3,000 and um I Pastor aloisio um made sure that I prayed for his 200 pastors twice we didn't even get to start ministering till 1 in the morning they didn't let me start preaching till 11: at 3: I'm tired and I haven't eaten supper and I remember like I like this thing's never going to end they keep getting back in line and I went back several years later and Pastor Al lisio said uh Randy you see that woman over there her name is hoochie and that's Portuguese for Ruth he said um we call her the little handy clarky I said what yeah we call her the little handy clarky I said why said do you remember when you were here last time I said I'll never forget it he said said she got the most strong she got the strongest anointing than anybody in our church more than me himself more than these 200 pastors and she's not even a cell group leader more people gets laid out in the spirit when she prays that anybody else prays more people gets healed when she prays than anybody else why why would God do that to let us all know it's Grace to remind us all he can do great things with people that we may not think could do so great why is that important because one of the strategies of the enemy is to get you to thinking you got to be good United States was touched but I want you to know God doesn't care if you're a Pentecostal Baptist or Roman Catholic or Lutheran are you remember one of the meetings we had in Missouri Springfield I think and we had a couple of Lutheran guys there and one of them is here tonight pastor and God really whacked him it was amazing to see what God did I remember praying for father thalen in uh toron um in Orlando he and Patrick rice who's a Layman and father thalen is a Adjunct professor at Sacred Heart Catholic seminary in Detroit were walking down the hall and he said would you pray for a Catholic I said sure I would we went to a room CU is I want to have a little privacy and I remember father phen got down on his knees like this closed his eyes lift his hands up and Patrick rice did the same thing I prayed put my hands on their head blessed them prayed for them prayed my eyes open so I could see what God was doing didn't look to me like he's doing anything nothing seemed to happen no trembling no laughing no crying not even a tear the eyelids didn't even flutter and I thought well that's all I can do all I can do just we my hands and pray it's up to God today father theen has one of the most powerful healing Ministries in the Roman Catholic Church in the United States of America and Patrick rice the Layman is going to into um Catholic high schools and praying for the Youth and he and father thand often go to churches as a team Catholic churches and do the healing meetings that's basically stolen from me but that's okay I stole it too from John wiber and that's okay because God gave it to him freely and give it away freely that's an important story about father thalen because there's another guy an Evangelical cessationist came to one of the meetings and he got prayed for and nothing happened and he sent a runner to me and said tell Randy I was very disappointed when he prayed for me he said I sent him back he said well tell him no more disappointed than I was when he went home to continue his series had nothing to do with the Holy Spirit never said anything about what he had seen or what had happened but the first Sunday home in Sri Lanka the people of his Evangelical cessationist anti- Pentecostal Church tongues is of the devil started laughing fell off of their seats rolled in the aisle which didn't happen at the meeting that he's only there at one meeting and started speaking in tongues and which didn't happen in the meeting I was at when he was there he didn't know what to do he was overseeing 200 other passages brought them all together he said you got to help me discern this and I'm going to tell you what happened and as he's talking to them about what had happened the they the power God hits the 200 pastors and it's same thing starts happening and it went on for months and he said I don't know how to pastor this and it's so um was so uncomfortable not knowing how to pastor this not having a mentor he shut it down years later I went to Sri Lanka and I was telling that story he said that was me and I'm here if you'll touch me again I'll never shut it down again don't shut down what God may do in the meeting that God touched me and touched my wife and saved our marriage and turned my wife into a great pastor wife the Deacon said the greatest Miracle wasn't that Blind Eye that opened or the deaf ear that opened the greatest Miracle is what happened to your wife but in that same night that so much happened one of our best friends a deacon his wife was standing right over here blame cook from The Vineyard had visited my Baptist Church and she's shaking and with my church I made sure when I invited I invited lutherans and Presbyterians and methodists and Church of Christ all evangelicals and I made sure that I did not invite any Pentecostals to come to this meeting because if something happened I want it to happen with people who have never seen it happen before I wanted to make sure it wasn't prejudiced against I just want to make sure that Pentecostals and charismatics didn't freak my people out because to where that they you know walls went up I just wanted to know that if you see something happen you know these people wouldn't do that so SAR she her name is Emily she's shaking and she's scared she's never felt anything like this and this this electricity going through her body and and she's up front and she says God please stop it and he did years later she said I've never felt anything like that since how I wished I wouldn't have said that it is a privilege to be visited by God it is an honor is a privilege you know I tell all these stories but I only have three or four of these experiences like this in my lifetime and I've been preaching 52 years they're very valuable it's not like you can be you know keep on being filled but when we talk about these types of these experiences that marks you as I talked to Tom Jones my Executive Vice President at one time I was talking to him and he God touched him and he was Pentecostal so you think he'd ought to be okay with this stuff I was Bap diseased Pentecostal you know I think I'm more Pentecostal than a lot of Pentecostals I know not so much in Doctrine but in experience but anyway forget I said that um so Tom is on the floor and I don't think I've ever seen anybody hurt as much from power as he was and his legs are there and are shaking violently it's lasted like like four or five hours and actually is came again in another way it actually went from like 6:00 at night to about 6 o'clock in the morning and uh but anyway I I knelt down beside Tom and I could tell he's afraid here's the Pentecostal guy Pastor Pentecostal Pastor Church of God you can't get any more Church of God Cleveland you can't get any more Pentecostal than that and um I said Tom this is God try to enjoy this it doesn't happen very often Tom's never had an experience just like that one that night but his life was radically changed he did his doctoral dissertation on the impact of power encounters and how it changes people's lives I remember in Toronto preaching and this missionary came forward blond hair woman I knew her first name was Heidi all I knew was that she's burned out and God didn't touch her she's going to quit or wanted to quit not going to quit wanted to quit I said Heidi God wants to know do you want the nation of Mosen Beek I can still see it in my eye my mind yes she's crying and the next thing came out of my mouth is God is going to give you the nation of mosm Beek you'll see the blind see the deaf he the lame walk and the dead be raised and the power of God continued for seven days and night she had be carried in and out of the meeting is one of the most powerful impartations i' ever seen but she's also had one of the most difficult challenging mission calls I've ever seen or heard as well sometime about the same time in hogus Norway I'm praying for this Baptist guy named LA hetland and the power of God came on him and knocked him in the floor and he shook for two and a half three hours there's this prophetic word at God had given me I see you in a dark place all around you is darkness and God has made you light he's made you a bulldozer you're going to make a way where there's been no way and I see a multitude of people coming out of the darkness following you in the light Heidi and Leif and their Ministries have both LED over 1 million people each to the Lord primarily in l situation from the signs and the Wonders the healing and the Miracles and he told me that next week like all the gifts of the Spirit was happening in his life prophecy words of knowledge all this stuff he said I've never had anything like that I thought I was going crazy but he's still faithful see not everybody that starts out even after they've had a powerful impartation ends well there's lots of booby traps there's lots of strategies of the enemy that includes Pride Fame riches whatever it may be to trip you up I pray that God would fill you with his power and with his power passion and give you wisdom of how to Steward what he gives you Holiness is important to God but we don't get called or blessed because of our own Holiness because of his but having been touched by him then we should guard this treasure that we have in these Earth and vessels one of the stories that caused me to begin to cry out to God when I was about 19 or 20 was this one I actually have a guy from Houston he he read the same story and follow up to me about 6 years ago who who was Pentecostal but had never seen any healings and is because of the same story this is finny talking about his baptism with the spirit that he wrote in his autobiography but as I turned and was about to take a seat by the fire I received a mighty baptism of the Holy Ghost without any expectation of it without ever having the thought in my mind that there was any such thing for me without any recollection that I'd ever heard the thing mentioned by any person in the world the Holy Spirit descended upon me in a manner that seemed to go through me body and soul I could feel the impression like a wave of electricity going through and through me indeed it seemed to come in waves and waves of liquid love for I could not express it in any other way it seemed like the very Breath of God I can recollect distinctly that it seemed to Fan me like immense wings no words can express the wonderful love that was shed abroad in my heart I wept aloud with joy and love and I do not know but I should say I literally literally bellowed out the unutterable gushing of my heart these waves came over me and over me and over me one after the other until I recollect I cried out I shall die if these waves continue to pass over me I said Lord I cannot bear anymore yet I had no fear of death shortly after I read that I read D Moody's biography and where he was touched and filled the Holy Spirit and as this happening in this house in New York City he lifted up his hand and he said Lord stay your hand lest you slay me I can't can't stand anymore from the time I read those two stories those testimonies I'm giving you testimonies created hunger I remember praying God if you still do this if you still touch people like this I want you to touch me like this I remember I prayed a dangerous prayer I prayed Lord I want you to touch me with so much power that you scare me that I think I could die in 1989 in front of 700 Vineyard pastors and leaders I got that prayer answered and it did scare me and I did think if he turns this up I could die once that was enough for that I want to be touched again but I don't necessarily want to feel like I'm about to be electrocuted again here's the invitation I'm going to ask you to stand up in a moment don't stand up yet here's the invitation I'm going to pray a short prayer in a moment and we're going to wait we may have to wait a little bit may have to wait a little longer I don't know how long but we're going to honor God by waiting I'll give you like 60 seconds to pray a prayer and your pray prayer is basically Lord use me Spin Me Lord I give you permission I I want you to touch me whatever you want tell him doesn't take long and then we're going to wait if you begin because this is the invitation bla cook gave at my Baptist Church I've used it ever since March 1984 if you begin to feel like your arms hands have gone to sleep and are waking up that tingling feeling I want you to come to the front now start with the pastors give them a chance first if you begin to cry have tears just the love of God want you come to the front if you begin to feel that tingling on your head want you to come to the front if you feel like there's a weight that came on you the glory the Cote of God that I feel so heavy I can I can barely move I want you to come to the front I've been in meetings including just my local church where that happened to some people twice where they literally could not get out of the seat one woman got saved because she wasn't saved God came on her and she couldn't literally stand up she couldn't she couldn't get out of the seat for almost two hours after the service ended that may be something might do to you if so that's the sign it's God just let him do what he wants trembling tingling crying wait it could be Joy Blain didn't say that but I've seen it enough so you may for no one no known reason just experience Joy you may laugh laughing crying both are God if that happens to you I want you to come to the front I don't want you to come to the front if you're a pastor if nothing's happening yet let's start with who God starts with that's what Blain said guys we want to start with who God starts with I do want to pray for every Pastor every priest that's here before you leave but I want to start with who he starts with and sometimes just watching what he does to others will create more hunger in you will you stand okay all right just a little one more instruction I just got this myself over here in this corner it's a pretty big Corner we got some carpet on the concrete amen that's action of faith and that's where I want you to go to and you stand just kind of facing you know over there facing this way and that's where I want the ministry team to be there to help stand behind the people that I'm praying for and uh Tom and charity and and Mike and William and all all the other speakers if you want to help pray but we got to make sure we got enough catchers so all the catchers why don't you go over there and get ready catchers aren't meant to be psychological suggestion it's meant in a day of litigation we want to make sure that we've done everything possible to make sure that no one gets hurt by Falling on somebody that's already fallen down and then they fall on top of them or something like that it can happen we just want to be loving and it's a Pentecostal myth you can't get hurt you ready let me pray for you and then no I want you to pray first you got um 30 seconds I remember as you're praying before God touched me when I saw Rodney I got out of my bed and I prayed God make me a coin in your pocket and spend me any way you want I'll go anywhere I'll I'll do anything if you'll just touch me one more time and maybe we can also Jeff move these back a little bit so the people come through here too that's in the front area now I want to pray for you lift up your hands keep your chin up but close your eyes God I first of all thank you for what you're about to do and I thank you Jesus that you died on the cross according to John 7:39 so that the spirit could be given thank you that you were glorified by being lifted up on the cross and resurrection and Ascension I bless what you're about to do I thank you for what you're about to do and I pray for every Pastor that's here every missionary every full-time evangelist Lord I pray for your power to come and for you to anoint them for your presence to come we welcome your presence we bless your presence Come Holy Spirit Come Holy Spirit Come Holy Spirit more more Brian Blunt I would like for you to also help us you and your wife more Lord Joanne of course more Lord if any of those things that I mentioned have started to happen then you are and you’re a pastor you’re free to come over here and just face face me more Lord more God more Lord I believe as this is happening God’s going to also be touching lay people who are here and that’s where I said if you sense after a while that it’s not happening you hear something around you just bless what God is doing
