Cold Fusion: Controversy and Potential

imagine a technology that generates energy by  fusing Atomic nuclei right at room temperature   that's the dream of cold fusion in 1989 two  scientists Martin fman and Stanley Pon claimed to   have achieved cold fusion their Discovery created  a buzz but unfortunately other scientists couldn't   replicate their experiments cold fusion attempts  to extract energy by fusing the nuclei of hydrogen   Isotopes called uyum and itium this is the process  of nuclear fusion but the difference is that cold   fusion tries to do it at low temperatures  unlike traditional Fusion reactors that   require temperatures in the millions of degrees  there are several problems with coal Fusion the   biggest challenge is reproducibility meaning  it's difficult to consistently replicate the   experiments additionally there's no established  theory that explains how nuclear fusion can occur   at room temperature if successful cold  fusion could become a source of unlimited   clean [Music] energy some scientists are  still researching cold fusion hoping to   solve its mysteries in the future cold  fusion is a controversial topic but its   potential is enticing perhaps in the future it  may become a reality rather than science fiction [Music]
