Senior Prom 2025 Parent Meeting Notes

General Information

• Presenter: Mr. Brooks Neverly
• Event: Senior Prom 2025
• Date: Friday, May 2nd
• Location: Lincoln Park Zoo, Bird's Eye Café
• Time: 7:00 PM - 10:30 PM
  • Students and dates cannot leave before 10:00 PM

Dress Code

• Formal attire required:
  • For MC students: Suit or tuxedo
  • For Dates: Proper dress with modest necklines and lengths
  • Contact if there are any concerns about attire

Walk-a-thon Goal

• Seniors have the day off if the overall Walk-a-thon goal is met
  • If not met, only those who individually meet their goal have the day off
• Attendance at school is required to attend prom if the goal isn’t met

Tickets

• No physical tickets issued
• Purchase via the parent portal in Blackbod
• Check-in upon arrival at prom

Venue Details

• Format: Buffet-style dinner
• Weather: Venue is hybrid indoor/outdoor
  • Be prepared for varying weather conditions
• Rules: Event follows MC handbook and Lincoln Park Zoo rules

Transportation and Parking

• Arrival: Between 7:00 PM - 7:30 PM
  • Late arrivals (after 7:30 PM) help in cleanup
• Parking: Enter off North Canon Drive
  • Fee: $35 for the event duration
  • Keep parking ticket for exit
• Drop-off/Rideshare: Free for 30 minutes
  • Enter via North Canon Drive
  • West Gate on North Stockton closed after 6:00 PM

Safety and Security

• Breathalyzer tests: At any time during the event
  • Applies to MC students and their dates
• ID requirements: Non-MC attendees need a photo ID

Departure

• Exit time: 10:00 PM - 10:30 PM
  • Check-out reminders around 9:30 PM - 9:45 PM

• Fill out the accompanying Google form post-video
