Overview

• Blackboard Learn is an e-Education platform designed to connect people and technology to enable educational innovations.
• The platform includes features that require secure login and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
• Relevant system announcements help users understand essential updates and login procedures.

Secure Login with Winthrop Email (SSO)

• Users must log in using the Winthrop email username and password.
• The Secure Single Sign-On (SSO) process is encouraged for login.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

1. Setup:
   • Download/install an authenticator app (e.g., Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, or Authy) on your phone.
   • Use the app to scan the QR code or manually enter a key provided during setup.
2. Verification:
   • Enter the 6-digit temporary code generated by the authenticator to associate it with your account.
3. Completion:
   • Once MFA is enabled, a login code will be required when logging in from unrecognized devices.

System Announcements

• Internet Browsers: Use supported internet browsers for optimal performance and to avoid errors.
• Login Assistance:
  • Use the "SECURE LOGIN WITH WINTHROP EMAIL (SSO)" button.
  • Enter your email correctly, excluding the "mailbox" portion if you're a student.
  • Contact Help Desk (803-323-2400) if login issues persist.
  • Access training tutorials for students and faculty.
