Overview

This lecture explains the process of sketching and shading the permanent maxillary right central incisor for study and exam preparation.

Preparation and Materials

  • Use a laminated drawing sheet for easy storage and reuse.
  • Needed materials: pencil, eraser, drawing sheet, and a reference image or sheet.
  • Laminate the sheet to preserve it for future reference or study.

Drawing Process

  • Begin by numbering each box on the vertical axis of the sample grid up to the root of the tooth.
  • Use the numbered grid to guide the outline sketch of the incisor.
  • Keep the drawing area clean by erasing any smudge marks around the tooth outline.

Shading Technique

  • Shade the tooth on the reverse side of the laminated sheet for practice.
  • Focus on shading to depict the tooth’s anatomy accurately.

Storage and Review

  • Store finished, laminated sheets in a binder for easy access and review before exams.
  • Refer back to stored sketches to study tooth shapes and features.
