hello and welcome to day two of our functional medicine detox that's right we're doing another seasonal detox here with our community and I appreciate you following along with us I'm grateful for you being here and it's day two and we're getting things warmed up we certainly are and I hope that you are feeling as good as I am on day two I had a fantastic night's sleep last night I took it easy today I actually had a massage scheduled for today it was fantastic it's just what I needed and um we are doing amazing things for our body hopefully it has a chance to follow along with the uh planner that comes with the functional medicine detox kit it comes with a little food shopping guide to let you know what type of types of food that you can get for your detox and um we're just doing amazing things for our body so day two what's going on today we are in our second day of our liquid fastening and that means we're having our four shakes per day with one scoop of our daily nutritional support powder in there we're having two ayurvedic capsules and two functional medicine capsules both in the morning and both at night with our morning shake and our evening shake and just amazing things happening in the body our body is shutting down digestion right now our body is ramping up autophagy which is self-cleaning or actually it translates to self-eating autophagy means self-eating and that means that the cells in the body are eating the necrotic tissue the necrotic cells that just don't belong there anyways and they are escorting them out so that they can leave the body uh never to be heard from again and this is just an amazing process that our body goes through and this is nature this is nature at its best there is no synthetic chemicals or compounds in this products that included are included in a functional medicine detox uh it's all natural and this is nature working for us instead of um you know modern technology and chemicals and synthetics working against us and that's the whole reason that we're doing this detox is to get these toxins out of the body that have accumulated since the last time you did a detox and if this is your first detox that have accumulated over your entire lifetime and that's why it's highly recommended to do the 21 Day functional medicine detox so today is just an amazing day of Nature and of what can happen what's possible for healing with the body and of course if you're doing this along with us then I'm sure you're feeling amazing too however there are certain times when these toxins start to get released from the body especially in your during your first detox whether it's 7 14 or 21 days that uh we have what is called herxheimer effect and that is where sometimes things get a little worse before they get better and that's where these toxins are being released from the body and before they are excreted out and escorted out of the body uh either through the stool of urine or sweat um or the breath that is when you know these toxins your body might start having reactions to these toxins because they are now being released from the adipose tissue the fat tissue of the body and they are floating free in the blood on the way to the liver waiting to get processed out through the kidneys and the excretory system of the body so rest assured that if you know all of a sudden you're just not feeling right maybe you're having a headache or a little more brain fog than usual stick with the program and I guarantee that you're going to feel better with the maximum effort in is going to get you the mind for tomorrow but for today I want you to take it easy if you could do you know a massage no heavy workouts today certainly not um you know if you practice yoga today is a a great day for some gentle yoga some yin yoga if you practice in Tai Chi or Qigong just keep your exercise keep your routine on the softer side with that gentle Chi energy and you're gonna get the benefits from it and of course tonight your body is going to be in full autophagy mode and you want to be sure to get to bed early get a good night's sleep make sure you're not doing uh having you know any stimulation prior to sleep you know um no watching the news no you know maybe no internet for tonight would be a great idea uh and certainly reduce your screen time would help you get the best night's sleep that you
