I'm Natalie. And today we're going to try a new bottle that I've recently acquired and I'm actually really excited about this one. She doesn't know what I'm gonna pull out.

Oh crap, when did I get this? Oh my god. I bought this more than five days ago.
Yes, it's been over a week. So, this is kind of a mess. I don't know, this is-No, no, no, no. You don't need to close your eyes. I'm just gonna pull the bottle out and we're all gonna see and it's gonna be all like-Oh my god.
EH Taylor Barrel Proof. Actually, you know what? I don't know where the f-Move that back. Just in case so the camera can see it. EH Taylor Barrel Proof, batch 12. So this is the most recent release of EH Taylor's Barrel Proof.
This is the fir- I've ever had and I'm super excited to have it obviously. I'm very excited too. Yeah I mean I'm not a Buffalo Trace fanboy but I still really like getting all their allocated stuff.
stuff and the total fluke right I got this because I used reward points at my local liquor store so I spent enough money there to be able to buy this bottle which comes in a super fancy tube yeah I've heard you talk a lot about this I'm so excited to finally get into it well let's get into it so each Taylor barrel proof batch 12 comes in at a hundred and thirty 1.1 proof. Nothing shabby about that. And it's not nearly as dark as a Stag. It's pretty light, actually, for what you would kind of expect. I think they're around the same age as Stags.
Stag Juniors, I should say. Well, now the label's just Stag for some reason. For some reason, it's just Stag now.
Oh. You know what I say? Bring back- back the junior. That's what I say. But anyways, let's go ahead and find out what we have in our glass because, I mean, I just can't wait.
Cheers. Cheers. Up front for 131.1 proof, so minimal on the ethanol. Yeah. Like it's there, but it's not any more than like rare breed or 1920 or any of those.
Lower proof barrel proofs. First thing I got was like a graham cracker, fresh bread, like sweet, like light sweet. Oh, a graham cracker and fresh jam. Because the berry notes are just insane on this. And there's a little bit of that honey as well.
Which I think honey is like a completely classic E.H. Taylor note. Like on the small batch I get tons, tons of honey.
And then the single barrel is a lot of fruit. And so this is kind of like a mash up but at such a higher proof point. So it's much more dense in flavor and smell.
I am hoping the same will be said in about two seconds. Alright, let's do it. Oh my gosh, yup.
Yeah, that is delicious and so much more than I was expecting. That's, yeah, really good. It's a lot less barrel char than Stag Junior's.
It's much more light and fruity and delicate. Yet it keeps building. Yeah, it's crazy. It really- Keeps on keeping on but I wouldn't say it's got a lot of diverse Characteristics, it's again. It's vanilla honey berries graham cracker Oh my god, so, you know, there's not a lot of ethanol in those but there is a lot of Proof spice on the tongue.
Did you see the price already? I have not so everyone knows secondary price on this $400 for $400, $350-ish. I got this at my liquor store using the loyalty points like I said plus $92.
So, you know, I bought all the stuff I needed whenever I would just go and if you consistently go to one or two places then you're rewarded for that by every dollar you spend equals a point and then I got to cash in those points and buy a bottle at MSRP. I'm very happy about that. I am too, I am too.
Yeah, I'm ecstatic to have this. This thing is just incredible and I wish that I had other batches to compare it to. I wish that I had other EH tailors other than small batch to compare it to.
But this is one that I'm really going to treasure for a long time. You know... There are two bottles that I really sought after when I got into whiskey and it was Stagg Jr. and it was E.H.
Taylor and now I've got both and that is just freaking me out. awesome. Cheers to that. Cheers to that.
