In the present tense, querer is a stem changer or shoe verb. Let's take a look at it in the present tense. Yo quiero, tú quieres, él quiere, ella quiere, usted quiere, nosotros queremos, nosotras queremos, ellos quieren, ellas quieren, ustedes quieren. Here are some examples of querer in the present tense. Yo quiero una hamburguesa.
Nosotros no queremos hacer la tarea. So now I'm going to try to write it. Guess what?
Querer is irregular. Since it's irregular, we have to totally memorize. So here we go. Yo quise. Tú quisiste.
