Look at how this driver is moving. Still 100 miles per hour. I guess the silver lining there uh aside from just being on a clear freeway here is that he is bound to run out of fuel soon. Again, this started in Ventur County. So, this has been going on for about 30 or 40 miles now. Uh but only about 20 minutes because that is just how fast he has been driving uh for as long as we have been. Oh, look at that. Just crashed into the back of that truck. Oh, look at that damage. spinning out now on the eastbound 210. Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. Okay, this is coming to a stop now. And I'm going to stay wide on this. We don't know the condition of this driver. We don't know how injured he might be. We don't know if there were any passengers there, but the entire driver's side of this black SUV is just wrecked. And that truck that it hit on the eastbound 210, that truck is still moving. Doesn't look badly damaged. tells me that driver is okay. But again, we're going to stay wide because we just don't know the condition of whoever might be in that black SUV. Uh CHP officers getting out now, guns drawn. Oh my goodness. Wow. That was a traumatic crash there. I mean, for any All right, so we wanted to go away from that. Um you just saw that dramatic crash right there on your screen. A car uh flying um down the highway. Uh what height was that? Highway was that, Jeb? Looks like they were um uh 110 the the I210. Okay. The I210 there flying down the eastbound and we wanted to pull away because uh again that was a dramatic crash but then two we saw officers get out guns drawn. So we just wanted to make sure making the arrest. No one's going to get shot. Okay. So they're making an arrest. Do we want to go back to that? Okay. Let's go back to it. Just wanted to make sure. Um so let's go back to it. It looks like they're making an arrest right now. Let's listen in to the coverage. the tire marks on the roadway behind this vehicle where it came to a stop. But I'm going to stay wide. Uh you can see CHP officers there, five of them right now checking out this car. And I'm going to zoom out more here. I've got the booth talking to me. I think they have more information about what exactly transpired. You see the Ventura County Sheriff's helicopter flying through our shot. They have been over this chase since it started. And again, it was a theft suspect in this black Honda Pilot that was being pursued by CHP. It was eastbound on the 118 before it got on the 210. And you can see traffic has come to a complete standstill here in Pasadena on the 210 East. Uh this is likely going to take quite some time to clean up. So if you're headed east, you do not want to take the 210 freeway right now. All right. So, let's talk about alternatives here, Julia, for all of these people that are going to be stuck here for gosh, I'm at least thinking at least an hour here. But what would be an alternative? Yeah, your best bet right now is going to be Foothill Boulevard. I'm glancing out the window of News Chopper 4. That looks clear right now. This is going to be just west of the two. This is uh Pasadena heading into the Glendale area. Uh you can take Montrose, that's going to be south of the 210 or again, Foothill Boulevard north of here. That looks clear as well. And if you are stuck in this backup right now, it does not look like CHP is rerouting anyone onto the off-ramp. Uh because that's where this crash just happened. That's where this SUV spun out and you can see the truck. It hit that orange truck is now stopped in the Gore point. We did see that moving for quite some time after this crash. So, the truck driver looks to be okay. Uh it doesn't look like any other vehicles were involved, but I'm going to zoom in on uh this lighter colored sedan that stopped in the Gore Point as well. I'm not sure if any debris from this crash might have hit this car. Uh but another civilian vehicle here and we are just waiting for information from CHP about what is happening on the ground. But again, staying wide uh because we got a peek at what's happening down there and I'm seeing Annabelle a pool of red. Julia, we were all watching. That was a traumatic crash uh for any of those drivers who experienced that. All right, so we want to pull away from that coverage. Again, a police chase there through Ventura County in the LA area has ended after a crash there. Um yeah, again we we just wanted to pull away just
