yo what's good in today's vid I'm going to be breaking down how to make a crazy fate mink we're going to be okay sample type beat let's get straight to it [Music] all right so yeah man if you guys don't know who fate mink is he's that one artist who loves pigeons I does just have to do this low to get off my head bro and he's got that haircut where his business stays in the front and the party stays in the back now but for real though he's an artist coming out of the UK and he's crazy he's dropping bang after bang at the moment so if you guys haven't checked him out already I definitely recommend you do so all right let's get to it so the first step in this beat is just to find yourself a cool sample you going to go for those kind of like ethereal ass like kind of emotional sounding dreamy sounding samples so for this one I chose the song Highway by elen you probably heard it on Tik Tok or something it's pretty fire song and then all you want to do is you just want to find like cool bits from the sample that you like like this all comes down to you and what you like and what you think sounds good especially when using samples you just want to find bits you like and then kind of pick them up so for example I like this bit so I'm going to take this part out and then I also like this bit so I'm going to take this part out as well all right now once you've got some parts at the same sample that you like there's so many different ways you can do this infinite ways you can either open it in a fruity slicer Channel you can just work like gross be or shaper box on it or you can chop it yourself what I actually do this is some hidden Tech if you guys didn't know this what you can actually do is come hit chop complex and then press beat Shuffle and then what this does is it literally just chops a sample for you I I'll show you what this sounds like now [Applause] [Music] [Applause] and there you go youve Lally got a crazy chopped sample just like that then what you should also be doing is just messing around with the pitch for this one I put it up 300 cents all right but I'm just going to do the same thing for the second part of the sample complex beat [Music] Shuffle but as you can see with that chop tool it doesn't always come out like like a crazy perfect sample straight away so what you are going to have to do is kind of mess around with the different chops and find something you like like it's literally all down to what you like you already have the sample here so you just got to listen for bits that you think sounds cool sounds catchy [ __ ] like that all right so for this be these are the two chops that I came out with [Music] [Applause] [Music] okay and then for this part of the sample as well the second one I actually reversed it as well so the first sound that I laid down is this [Music] A8 of course you got to have them crash outs not not just a8s they got to be them crash outs okay all right and then we just have this like crash sound effect throw a clap in there we got a snare [Music] here moving over to the high hats [Music] and then finally I added a [Music] kick all right and then there was drums on the other part of the sample it sounded like this [Music] all right so if you've put your kick over your 8 and it sounded like absolute ass cheeks this is the solution to all your problems all right so what you're going to want to do is grab your kicks mix a channel and then find your 08 channel right click this little arrow down here then side chain to this track what you then want to do is come over to this 8 place a fruity limiter on there click on this compression tab put the side chain up to one and then mess around with these three knobs until you have something that you like make sure on the limit section you also have the ceiling all the way up I but pretty much what that's doing is just whenever the kick hits it kind of lowers the audio of the 808 so they don't crash as much all right if you guys haven't hit like subscribe on this video by now like what are you doing but anyways so I chose to have this little four bar intro that I'll show you in a minute then an eight bar preh hook kind of thing 16 Bar hook 16 Bar verse that same little pre hook again and then the hook again or chorus whatever you want to call it but then just a simple little eight bar outro all right but over to this little intro that I was talking about what I did is I just grabbed like a non chopped bit from the sample and then whacked that at the start just for like a cool little buildup as you can see I also got some risers just to make it more like impactful When the Beat Drops I want to be real [Music] for okay and then for the preh hook we just have it kind of like building up so we only have the A8 player no clap no high hat no nothing then over to the hook we introduce the high hat and the clap we leave a few things out like the snare and the kicks and that comes in in the second half of the hook but yeah pretty much all you want to do is just be like messing around with the drum sounds taking them in and out just to like keep the beat changing add some variety to the beat pretty simple you don't want to be doing anything crazy just go by ear like literally listen like does this part need the kick playing for instance no it doesn't and then you're like I want to add the kick make it sound different bam add the kick it's that simple you ain't got to think about it that much and yeah for the outro then what I do is just fade the master if you are new to producer you don't know how to do that all you do is just highlight the bit that you want to Fade Out come over to the master right click this not going to do it but click create automation clip and then just drag the last Point down then you can mess with this thing if you want to like make the fade sound a bit different all right but that is it for everything today guys if you guys didn't enjoy hit like subscribe on the video go
