all right so we're going to go to Romans chapter 6 Romans chapter 6 now you'll notice that whiteboard is up I believe the Lord laid this upon my heart now I do like deeper Christian Life teachings I know that some of well actually most people really enjoyed those teachings so here is one of those deeper Christian Life teachings that's been uh helpful to me and I think it'll be helpful to you now there's a thing what we call the Victorious Christian life now if you know the basic Doctrine behind that the Victorious Christian Life is basically Jesus Christ he died buried and resurrected and those things actually represent our Victory or how we can attain Victory against sin against our flesh and how we can grow even more spiritually for the Lord now if any of you are struggling with something in your or if any of you are going through a trial or a test or if any of you want to grow spiritually more in the Lord the Victorious Christian life is still a so-called basic doctrinal teaching that should never go away and something that people should keep learning and keep digging into it even deeper that's why it's got to be deeper into that now there are some people uh who wrote books about the identification with Christ you get hson Taylor and I think Leonard Ravenhill and those those guys they'll get into the deeper Christian Life topics the deeper Christian Life is something that I believe Bible Believers should take time to study they feel like they have to find some new doctrine out there that no one's ever heard about but I don't think that's the right thing to do I think that with the foundations that's been laid out that should be studied and expanded upon and new doctrines naturally come out of that if that makes any sense so the Victorious Christian Life here are some things that I think will be helpful if you don't know this teaching about the Victorious Christian Life that's okay I'll briefly review it so basically what is put to death it's your flesh so the flesh must die I am dead so you have your own lust the things that the flesh desires to do you've got to realize that is not the real you that is not you you're dead to it because when you got saved you've been separated from your fleshly nature and what you got is your spiritual nature so you got to bury that thing you got to make sure that it's acted upon the the flesh is put to death but now the lust they're applied the application is put upon uh you don't see dead corpses drinking smoking dancing sinning why cuz they're dead so where you know your flesh is dead now you got to apply it you got to bury that thing bury it so deep so deep that you can't find it pretty much Resurrection is you got to find out who's the real you your spiritual nature so you got alive in it resurrected because that's the real you so what does your F uh your spirit excuse me desire to do it wants to read the book it does not want to sin it wants to strive for Holiness so that is the real you Resurrection so this is referring to your spiritual nature that's why it has application to the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ that's what he did now we know the Victorious Christian Life this is all summed up in Romans 6 Romans 6 is the best chapter that if you're struggling with something or you want to spiritually grow more but then you got that fleshly nature that you're worrying against you've got to read Romans 6 it g it gives you the principles the secrets the tips and everything you need to conquer the flesh all right now that I've uh reviewed it let's expand let's expand this a bit more let's expound upon it usually when you uh use real life application on certain teachings then you start to learn more there are things that you overlook now that's actually very practical in the real world it doesn't matter if you go to a highclass university and you know all the concepts uh Scholars do know and those who with professions or practices do know it's very different when you apply it in real life practice that's the reason why uh research journals they can have theories but theories won't amount to anything if they don't have real real life application and even research journals themselves they'll know that it does uh at times something that can work in an experiment doesn't mean it applies to to the field to the real world to the real world so that's why there's a difference with experimental research and field research okay why do I say all that jibber jabber I'm trying to tell you this is very common sense so I want to encourage Bible believers who are studying more into that book apply it more often use what you've learned into real live things and what's going to happen is your knowledge is going to grow more so this is where we're heading toward we're heading toward more of the practical application and we're going to get more practical where we can become even more doctrinal all right now we know that the flesh is dead we know that the spirit is alive and this can be summed up with one thing where people don't really know about the reason why it's difficult for us to conquer certain things with our flesh I mean no matter how holy you live you still got a fleshly nature that wants to come out and you know it you know it there's a time you want to lose your cool there's a time you want to say something and then when you said it you regret what you said and I mean thoughts just pop up in your mind and if it won't pop up in your mind because you've done your best to restrain it it'll pop up in your dream so it it just does that it just does that the wicked flesh now we want to it we want to make it dead to us so why is it so difficult for us because of our desire so Romans chapter 6 I'll read through that since you turned over there to summarize these three concepts and then we're going to uh dig deeper into why it's difficult for our flesh to overcome these things and why we always give into it because it has to do with our desire uh Romans chapter 6 and ver verse five verse 5 for if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection so the death burial and resurrection of Christ its picture has to be applied with the following knowing this all right no that's step number one secret one that you've learned in basic discipleship that our old man is crucified with him that the body of sin might be destroyed that henceforth we should not serve sin no that your flesh is dead to you then you've got to make it dead to you you got to apply it notice verse 11 likewise reckon see you got to reckon yourself to be dead apply it ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin but alive unto God through Jesus Christ Our Lord now notice the second secret is to reckon it to be dead apply it the Third Secret is to resurrect your spiritual nature yield yield to the spiritual nature that's secret number three notice in verse 13 neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness Unto sin but yield yourselves unto God as those that are alive from the dead see when you yield to God you're yielding to what's alive in you and your members as instruments of uh righteousness unto God go to James chap chapter James chapter 4 James chapter 4 if you look at Romans chapter 7 which you should know from previous Bible studies that's the next chapter that talks about this war between us and the war is the flesh versus the spirit now that's what we're all in see or maybe most of you are in some of you may have matured out of it and uh are growing in the Lord but there are still some battles you're going through so everyone pretty much goes through Waring stage right now that's the thing we want to inspect that's the thing that we need help with that's the thing we need help with so then let's look at verse one James chapter 4 verse one for when come Wars and fightings among you came they not hence even of your what lust that war in your members okay so why would that stinking flesh just come out well because it's born in sin and it just it's its nature to do that that's true but even scientists admit about nature versus nurture not everything is nature what what do they mean by that what they mean by that is you can't just blame it on genetics on your birth there's something in the environment that you did that affected that contributed to your birth to what you're born from and fed that in its fleshly habits so we want to look at that nurture part we want to look at the uh the environmental part things that you did that contributed to it verse two ye lust and have not ye kill and what desire to have and cannot obtain ye fight in war yet ye have not because ye asked not ye ask and receive not because he ask a miss that ye may consume it upon your lust now this is important to understand the key here with the key words right lust right lust desire it mentions Ye Ye Ye what you want what you want what you want it's your desire that's the key the key why the flesh is having such a hard time to conquer some things is because your flesh has desires and lust what I want to tell you is it is impossible to serve God when there is no desire let me repeat that again when there is no desire it is impossible to serve God that's the reason why a lot of people in this world are falling into sin to the lust of their flesh and what I've emphasized so much about the modern cultural influence that's what I hate the most that's why I keep trying to attack the heart of that that system very hard that way I can tear it apart break it apart so we're influenced by these things because of our desires and you're not going to last in church long if you don't have a desire for church you're not going to last long in staying away from sin if you don't desire Holiness because desire is the key why you're doing what you're doing let me repeat that again the reason why you're behaving the way that you're behaving doing those actions that your body wants to perform and that's the key it's a want it's a desire so we go to Galatians chapter 5 Galatians chapter 5 now if we're going to talk about ultimate desire ultimate wanting what is the emot that would best describe the ultimate emotion that would describe desire perfectly no better word than love love is the highest emotion that you could think of that entails desire so this is the strongest emotion because let's say that your flesh desires to do something but at the same time you have a strong desire for your wife and then the wife has a different taste than you well if you love her more see that desire is stronger for your wife it will easily overrule your own desire so that does happen so desire can be overruled by a stronger desire this is something that your flesh is even capable of as well and I'm going to come into that a little bit later on but the flesh is even capable to rewire its own system now that's something interesting isn't it because to be honest as Bible Believers we don't go by the flesh to conquer the flesh but reality is this reality is that unbelievers who have a dead Spirit they were able to conquer their fleshly desires with other desires of the flesh well then why don't we do that Pastor because the spirit ual nature is more powerful it's more effective so my point is if fleshly things can find its way to conquer its own desires what more with the spiritual hence you should be encouraged that you should be able to conquer your own wrong desires of the flesh okay it should be very possible uh not possible not even likely it is a fact it is a guarantee it's a promise from God he put his word in it so you got to serve God through love love is the key factor we look at Galatians chapter 5 Galatians chapter 5 notice in uh verse 17 for the flesh lusteth against the spirit and the spirit against the Flesh and these are contrary the one to the other so that he cannot do the things that he would so it emits this conflict of Flesh and spirit but notice right hear what the Bible encourages you to do when you go through this conflict this is what's going to help you notice in verse 13 13 for Brethren you have been called unto Liberty only use not Liberty for an occasion to the what flesh but by what love serve one another notice love is the ultimate emotion that can help you conquer your flesh now there's another key word here in verse 13 it says Liberty correct okay what does that mean that means that you don't feel forced right you're not restrained right it's basically what you want to do your freedom ultimate Freedom Independence so this is in line with what this is in line with conquering your flesh what does that mean then what that means is you do have a desire in there listen this is encouraging to you for those of you who feel doomed you have a desire in there where you want to do whatever you want that is spiritual not fleshly so I'll repeat that again there is something that you want to do so badly and you can do whatever you want to do in in the spiritual context but here's our problem let me apply it to real life so you better get it when I say uh you can do whatever you want to do what Pops in our mind when I say you can do whatever you want whatever you want what what uh wish do you have in mind that you want to be granted what desire the sky the limit name anything you want obviously when we think about that some things could be unethical immoral some things are basically even if it's okay it's just worldly or if it's something that's okay God doesn't allow maybe God even allows it for some people but he doesn't allow it for you whatever all right whatever that entails but when we think about whatever you desire we automatically know what that means that's flesh now that's where you failed see that did you catch that why you failed the reason why you failed is when you're thinking about whatever I want I can have you're restricting that to the flesh that's your weakness why do you have to think the flesh why uh why can't you think the spirit so in this case it should be the spirit here why is it when God says you can have whatever you desire whatever you want and I will grant it why can it be uh okay what I truly want what I truly desire and that's spiritual why do we have to think flesh what does this prove this proves that what you do know and believe to be you is the flesh that's a wrong thinking go back to the basics remember what is the basic no that this guy is dead that's not the real you who is the real you there that's your that's where you failed see that that's where you fail so when you're thinking about whatever I desire whatever I want and I can have it and I can live happily ever after um people always think the flesh but if you're dead to your flesh you can't think that way when you're saying whatever I desire whatever I want in life it's got to be spiritual because that's the real you that's the key the key is you got to have a strong desire and you've got to confront it you got to inspect it and you got to tell yourself what is it that I really want what is it that I desire when you have that and you believe in it then you can conquer your sin so think about this when we go to some of the passages here we go go to uh Romans chap 7 Romans chapter 7 you know what's really why it's really hard for you to conquer your sin your flesh it's because your flesh has Cravings right well my question to you is this what about your spirit don't it have cravings right but what have you done to that you made it dead to you so you applied these Concepts backwards do you understand you applied the concept backwards with knowing your your flesh your spirit to be dead that it's that it's practice unconsciously no that's not what I want in my spirit to read the Bible pray and Holiness see you've unconsciously known and believe that and then you applied it you applied it by making it dead to you you know what the evidence for that is the evidence for that is even if there's something spiritual in you where you want to read the Bible when you read that book no matter how much the spirit tries to heal or minister to you you reject it you know why you reject it you're trying to make the spirit dead to you so you're applying God's Concept in the wrong way you're doing it backwards which the devil's job is to make God's ways backwards right that's why Satanist they'll do uh things that are backwards or if you do contemporary music and play it backwards you hear satanic lyrics or Jesus name backwards the cross backwards stuff etc etc notice that it's a satanic influence then that the devil put upon you he took God's model that could help you in life but he made it backwards so you got to reverse it the other way again and make it the right way so you made it dead to you and then you made your flesh obviously alive and that's why you feel like listen to me it doesn't matter how much the preacher of the word of God tells you that sin makes you miserable or drugs make you miserable when you take that in you feel alive you feel alive you feel great you know why you made it alive to you but remember reality is it's not your flesh is not alive that's not reality but you practice it pretty good we got to do it now for the spirit because reality is it should be our spirit that's alive so we got to make it alive uh if it's hard for you listen if it's hard for you to uh sing and happiness floods in your heart when you sing the hymn there's something seriously wrong either you're not saved because you don't have a spiritual nature in you or you've been in such a practice for so long that it that you over uh you override it now I'm going to come to that overriding and habit later on as well okay which is extremely powerful but if we can do that well with our flesh we should be able to do it more with our spirit that's my point okay now uh when we look at Romans Romans chapter 7 you got to look at what your spirit craves the Bible says uh in verse 19 uh Verse 18 verse 18 uh actually I keep going backwards this is such good words Let's uh go backwards all the way to 14 sorry for we know that the law is spiritual but I am carnal sold under sin he's talking about his fleshly nature for that which I do I allow not for what I would that do I not but what I hate that do I now what's going on here it's pretty confusing you see flesh versus Spirit here so you'll notice that but what I hate who's that IE there what he hates that's his uh spiritual nature that do I but his flesh wants to do it if then I do that which I would not I consent unto the law that it is good now then it is no more this is important now then it is no more I that do it did you see that there that's extremely important Paul is trying to convince himself there's a there's a contradiction here verse 14 Paul said I am carnal sold under sin but then the contradiction is no I don't do that at verse 17 what's going on here it's that conflict he's going through he's talking about real life application real life application is that our flesh tends to make us think that's the real me I'm carnal I'm sold under sin it's hopeless that's just me and stuff like that but no Paul is trying to tell us no no no that's not the real me verse 17 now then it is no more I that do it but sin that dwelleth in me for I know that in me that is in my flesh dwelleth no good thing for to will is present with me but how to perform that which is good I find not so notice right here he's saying I want to do this do what's right I want to live holy I don't want to commit the lust of My Flesh do you notice that here so he's trying to point out he what his spiritual nature Cays for what he really wants to do for the good that I would I do not but the evil which I would not that I do now if I do that would I that I would not it is no more I that do it but sin that dwelleth in me look at verse 22 for I what Delight in the law of God and he explains why he desires it after the inward man he's saying because I have a spiritual nature there that's the context and then verse 23 but I see another law in my members that's his flesh Waring against the law of my mind so the flesh is trying to override his mind and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members this is extremely powerful so he's trying to point out here that his real desire is his Spirit that's his desire now I know what our problem is our problem is well even though that's my desire My Flesh is just too strong but I don't uh I don't believe that can be an excuse either the reason why is this so let's say that you have someone that you really love and then your family is against it the whole world's against it it's it's ill advised uh if you marry this girl then think about your future and you don't you don't have enough money it and there are so many cases of younger people nowadays who don't care and they'll go out with the girl or the guy they want that they desire or they'll marry and they could care less what everybody else or what the world says and even if they listen even if they suffer even if they suffer so many consequences after that some of them are just so proud and stubborn or they know their desire so strongly that they say I could care less I don't regret what I did because this is what I want what's my point my point is if your desire is so strong for something you love nothing in this world no matter how strong the influence is is going to deter you away from that no matter how much you suffer for it the consequences for it you're going to stick to your desire now here's the thing we we we all cry and moan about oh why is a Christian life so hard God why did this happen uh why why are the people making fun of me why is the world uh making my life hard why do we have to plan a ministry here these people Lord why did you make things that way that way that way no no no no you those things should be irrelevant to you if you have your desire and consequences are expected out of it if your desire is to be a Bible believer here and you live here the consequences are expected what you think that nothing bad is going to happen in your life especially in this place especially in this place living here I mean even in this place lost people are moving out all right and you think you honestly think that what why why are there why there have to be consequences no you don't do that with fleshly desires okay why can't you do that with the spiritual desire so if you have a spiritual desire to do what's right you could care less about the consequences and let them all go to hell because they do go to hell the flesh dies okay should be buried sin goes down to Hell where it belongs if you don't like that then we can say sh okay if that doesn't offend you so send it down to shol okay to sh with all those things so so here's the thing is that you got to have that in your mind about desire is so powerful it is so strong that what you love could care less about consequences now go to Matthew 19 that's why this makes sense now go to Matthew 19 Matthew chapter 19 do you remember what Jesus said about if you don't hate father mother family and your own life also you cannot be my disciple now why did he say that you ever wondered why why did he have to give an extreme statement like that because he's not pointing out hatred he's trying to point out the strong desire and love that you have for God that if the consequences are turning out where it looks like hatred to the family you could care less now the world has accused you accused you of being hate speech obviously right so uh even though to them it looks like hatred in our eyes it's not that it's just a strong love in our part that looks like hatred to them but that's how it should be in your life if you do it that way then you get more Victory against the flesh all right go to Matthew chapter 19 and notice what Jesus Christ said at verse 29 Matthew chapter 19 and then verse 29 and everyone that hath forsaken houses or Brethren or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands for my name's sake shall receive an hunold and shall inherit everlasting life uh I want you to also turn to the Book of Matthew chap 6 Matthew chapter 6 there are consequences for loving Jesus Christ you should expect that consequences am Nega negative things happen every action a lot of people don't think about this every action has a consequence everything every action in life has a consequence if you think that whatever you do for the Lord nothing bad happens you don't think about consequences go to the Book of Matthew chapter 6 and then we'll look at verse 24 matth Matthew CH 6: 24 the Bible says no man can serve two masters for either he will hate the one and notice love the other or else he will hold to the one and despise the other he cannot serve God and Mammon hence we see right here that this love and hatred relationship is crucial and key go to Luke 14 Luke chapter 14 the scriptures is filled with this yeah Jesus is telling you there are consequences paid for it so you have to give up things in the world your old Master Luke 14: 26 he pointed out in Matthew 19 the consequences are that you've forsaken family lands and everything of your living your way of living and then in Matthew chapter 6 it explains further it's because of that love and hatred relationship go to Book of Luke uh chapter 14: 26 verse 26 the Bible says if any man come to me all right if you serve God there are consequences what is it and hate not his father and mother wife and children and Brethren and sisters yay and his own what own life also he cannot be my disciple and whosoever doth not bear his cross and come after me cannot be my disciple uh that's expected con consquences consequences from what not because God made you that's extremely important God Gave You Free Will he doesn't want to force you that's why he could care less if uh the whole world becomes more and more apostate that don't that don't make him paranoid he prophesied it would happen it was expected so he don't break a sweat out of it what he wants are people who are willing who desire him so much that they could uh they're willing to pay the consequences for it now don't we do that with our sin don't we do that with even things that are not sinful our own dreams aspirations desires and goals listen there are people who want a good job higher pay uh go to a good school uh transfer to a higher University go to a more advanced degree don't tell me they don't suffer consequences for that they do and they're willing to pay what tens of thousands of dollars for it they're willing to lose hours of sleep over it they're willing for their flesh to go through incredible stress and pain just to go through it what for the desire that they want now that shows they fall in love with their universities with their jobs with their money they love money and fame position that's how much they love more than Christians love Jesus Christ unbelievers and even backsliders they suffer more persecution than Christians do for their love for Jesus Christ Amen brother don't tell me sin just lets you go Scot free sin makes you pay the price and they're willing to stay stubborn in that deceive themselves indoctrinate themselves at this is what I want I don't care I'm going to stay that way they have a stronger faith than some Christians Christians don't indoctrinate themselves that no matter how bad life is this is what I want in my life and I could care less all right so this is extremely powerful is desire desire make makes you throw away uh the consequences who could care less now I want you to go back to Romans 7 there's something interesting here what Paul said so we have to look at what our spirit craves this love also means that the spirit craves for something so have you ever uh asked yourself this have you ever ask yourself man what do I really crave for what do I really want to do today what do I want to end my life with by the end of the day what do I want to do listen every day of your life no matter how bad it is you should fulfill what you desire to do can I repeat that again every single day no matter what day it is no matter how bad or how horrible life is by the end of the day you should accomplish what you wanted to accomplish so if we were to say that what I want to accomplish is to read the Bible I want to be holy I want to rejoice in sufferings shouldn't anyone be able to complete that no matter how bad their day is if that's what you really want and nothing's going to stop you from your dream your desire isn't that what this liberal culture taught us chase after your goal your dream your aspiration follow your heart don't don't let anyone stop you well then why why do they have to put that in a fleshly context why can't we do that spiritually isn't that what you really want to do so then when you wake up in the morning what is it that you think oh I pray for the Bible no well you wake up in the morning is I pray for more sleep some of you are laughing because you know it's true right yeah yeah no don't raise your hands you Sinners we don't want to know your sins yeah keep it down keep it down keep it down thank God I didn't say some really awful sin you know marijuana yeah everyone raise their hand you know yeah all right but you know what but you know what I mean here is that so what is it that you think about when you wake up in the morning what do you crave when you're under intense suffering and stress what do you crave what do you crave see so if it's spiritual the Crave then it overwrites the wrong craving so this is very important when under that let's say the stressful moment or the trial or the test or the Temptation whatever it is and then here we're uh we're being in a craving mood and then we're craving for probably a it's it's going to be obviously not probably obviously a fleshly thing what you need to do is oh wait wait wait wait wait wait wait what does my spirit crave so before you uh here's what you can do okay I'm not even telling you to stop your fleshly crave and conquer the sin and do what's right all I'm asking you to do is one thing and this might be the most helpful thing for you to write down maybe okay you might see changes okay this might help you when your flesh craves for something because it's natural it will crave so it'll come out it'll be triggered the flesh will crave I want this what's our job then our job is is we can't leave it like that then there's no war the Bible says spirit and flesh should War so give the spirit a chance it's dying it's hungry it's thirsty it's craving because you put in solitary confinement a long time let the spirit out just once and and say well Spirit what do you crave for what do you want to do today you know you haven't had a clean 20 24 hours before I I would sure like a clean 24 hours that would feel great right don't you just feel clean no guilt and then see so then when you do that that crave it should build up more it should build up more and then you follow the Crave now this is extremely important is the Cravings are key for your actions because you wouldn't commit or do that act without a Crave You wouldn't think that thought that led you to your action without a crave the bottom line is this is that craving is the most important thing and so you got to let that Spirit out let its Cravings come out now what happens is this during the middle of that crave the flesh comes out with its craving so then you got and that's natural it's natural for the fleshly Cravings to war against the spiritual cravings and that's not wrong let me repeat that again that's not wrong what's wrong is which one you decide what choice you made for the Crave because the Bible even said Jesus Christ went through such things in his flesh go to the book of Hebrews and your hand is still at uh I don't know if you turn to Romans 7 or if it's still there but keep it there all right keep it there and I want you to go to the book of Hebrews chapter 4 Hebrews chapter 4 and who would have thought it's already time so let me um uh sum up the other stuff within 10 minutes then I didn't think it was this fast Hebrews chapter 4 and then your other hand at Romans chapter 7 the bible says in Hebrews chapter 4:1 15 for we have not an high priest that's Jesus Christ which cannot be touched with the what feeling feelings of our infirmities but was in all points tempted like as we are yet without sin see his flesh also had these problems too it sometimes had wrong desires but he made sure that he inspected himself and found out his true desire now that's the problem the problem is is that you're not inspecting yourself what your true desire is so go to Romans 7 Romans 7 you know why you're very faithful in your duties for the Flesh and you don't skip that Duty whatsoever because you you always think I want to do this and then it's a fleshly thing but see you labeled identified I yourself with your flesh here's what you need to do rather than I want to do that sin you got to say My Flesh wants to do that sin that's good that's extremely powerful notice what Paul said Paul said it that way look in verse 18 18 uh 17 17 again now then it is no more I that do it see that but what sin that dwelleth in me for I know that in me but he clarified himself what his me was right that is in my flesh he wants to make sure no that's not the real me okay that's my flesh dwelleth no good thing all right so what do you need to do you got to find out who your right craving is so when you inspect your right craving it's your spirit but to do so you also have to realize this is not what you crave well no I do crave for it no no no correct yourself okay because doctrinally you're wrong and I and I believe scripture more than you no matter how you feel no matter what you experience and I don't care if you committed the 10,000th time with the same fleshly problem that's not you if you're saved in Jesus Christ your identification is the spiritual nature in Christ that is the real you so identification with Christ is so crucial see it's a powerful teaching that Bible Believers should study more but if this is what you if this is your desire then when the flesh craves okay well I want to commit that sin then stop yourself and clarify yourself just say no my flesh wants to do that but I which is your spirit want to live holy now when that flesh crawls in this is all you have to do do me this favor all right I'm not telling you to conquer your sin live a holy life all right just clarify your thought and emotion before before you do it clarify it with a simple statement all right clarify it is it's not I don't crave for that fleshly thing my flesh craves for it but I crave for reading the Bible I crave to stay away from that sin I crave for you got to find your Cravings now once you clarify that here's the here's the key the Bible says in Romans chapter 6 and then uh Galatians 5 it gave you the powerful tips Galatians uh 5 and then uh Romans chapter 6 I think I'll have to do a part two on this maybe so we'll see yeah so Galatians chapter 5 and Romans chapter 6 what's extremely powerful when you apply by that clarified statement which is a truth statement that's a truth statement more than any other truth statement in research empirical journals that statement you made is is encompasses all eternity your Eternal rewards so it's such a powerful truth statement then the strongest delusion and the biggest lie is to tell yourself I want to smoke I want to dance I want to sin okay that's the greatest deception you can say the greatest lie you ever deceived yourself for Bible believers who insist on not being deceived you sure are the biggest deceiver you deceive yourself so now we go to Galatians chapter 5 and Romans 6 notice Romans 6:13 neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness Unto sin but yield yourselves unto God as those are alive from the dead okay what does yield mean it means to give in okay all right this is extremely important uh people think that yielding is a lot of work it can be but it's not really what you think all right yielding God makes it very natural why natural because that's the real you if this is the real you your craving then all you have to do is give into the craving ain't that simple so then my question to you is why won't you give into your crave if you're so good with that with your flesh why can't you do that with your spirit don't you want to give in I mean you ever you ever been to a meeting where the spirit of the Lord is so thick and the atmosphere around you is so spiritual it just hits the roof especially after four hours of that something in you at least wants to give one little amen something in you wants to just at least come to the altar call once something in you can't wait to go back home get something's clean why because when you're when you give into it after hours spent on it that's rumination that's the big psychological problem too is what the clients ruminate and they spend their time ruminating pondering thinking feeling spending time giving into what negative things bad emotions bad thoughts so then once the spirit has a Crave You got to give into it and R and just stay there let it ruminate let it saturate there let it just saturate so much I mean when you hear so much of that book you can't help but crave to just uh open up your Bible after that look you're you you've sat under this teaching what has it done now you can't help but do something spiritual after this set some things in order what's going on you gave in to the Crave just now so it's important you got to wake yourself up and clarify your craving you got to clarify your craving and then when you clarify the craving then you got to give into it and let it stay let it saturate let that spiritual craving build up don't reject it don't throw it away your spirit is starving to death and wants it's so bad let it let the spirit cry out more for what it wants let the spirit's desire run wild basically then you can get filled with the spirit you can get filled with the spirit so Galatians 516 also says that 5:16 this I say then walk in the spirit see there's an exercise an act activity placed upon in the spirit and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh that's how you're not going to follow the lust of the flesh what are you giving into see what are you ruminating on so you got to clarify your desires the right way so clarify yourself that when you crave to do something wrong clarify it is oh no no not me it's my flesh what I really want is to stay away from that sin is to get away from something filthy get away from something that ruins my testimony and I I just want something clean I yearn for something holy I want something that makes God happy and then see you're pondering you're ruminating when you keep doing that then you can't help but do it you can't help but do it one thing to keep in mind about uh why the flesh became powerful is that now it's becoming I'll close it right here so I'll close it here and then yeah I'll have to do a part two I didn't finish this but this is an unconscious reflex an unconscious reflex now this is extremely powerful that I want you to hear this will change your life this part as well now an unconscious reflex an instinct is why you keep doing the fleshly thing even though it's not the real you do you know how power F that is how powerful that flesh is why it's so powerful why it always wins even though that's not the real you is because you made it an unconscious reflex and Instinct okay now how do you make it an unconscious reflex and Instinct you have to go way back to your past what your flesh first experienced listen it's not going to it's not going to say hey I want to smoke it was first conscience of that activity once it intake that then the flesh can't forget it it'll it'll put it in its memory bank whether you're conscious or unconscious and that memory bank of the flesh will always saturate and sit still and then if you keep doing this so many times you don't have to be conscious anymore and they'll become unconscious reflex and then no matter how hard the preaching of the word of God is if it's unconscious reflex for the flesh it can be sometimes more powerful than the spiritual nature so what's my point my point is when you put something it started out with something conscious it didn't become unconscious uh it's not automatically unconscious reflex it started out with something conscious so even though we're born in sin babies are born in sin they weren't conscious of right and wrong yet correct that's why God allows them to go to heaven so the key is conscious activity is what started everything and conscious activity uh when you start out that way if you keep doing the conscious thing it eventually becomes unconscious reflex so here's the thing what you're doing when you're Awakening the Crave of the spirit you're like wondering well why won't it just naturally happened to me that way the spirit wants to Crave to read the Bible and then just do that it don't happen that way unconsciously see you want something natural that happens to you that's unconscious you don't have to be conscious about how that's not how it works you have to be conscious first that's why I'm saying give that clarified statement you need to clarify the statement what your spirit wants what you're doing is you're Awakening your conscious your conscience on it so when you keep doing that eventually what happens is it becomes unconscious reflex unconscious reflex to the point that I just want to say Amen during a church meeting I just want to read my Bible and pray first thing in the morning I I just go to church that's how it's always been I don't skip a Sunday I do this and it becomes unconscious reflex and there are you can admit this too there are some Bible Believers and Christians that do that unconsciously it's just something that they grown up with all their life and that they're just used to doing and even if their flesh don't want to for some weird reason they're just programmed to just still do the spiritual thing why because consciously at first they always live that way activated it that way so the power of unconscious reflex and Instinct you that's where you want to attain that's where you want to get into but that can only come through an exercise of being conscious all the time an exercise so that's why God gave you a conscience what's the greatest way to yield into temptation when you're not conscious of it you know that and I know that you know why you don't spiritually grow you're not doing spiritual things for the Lord You're not conscious of that why you're used to ignoring your conscious killing your conscious see that that's the key you need to awaken your conscience that way you can unconsciously even naturally without much stress serve the Lord Jesus Christ stay away from sin sin and suffer for his name and rejoicing in suffering always having the joy of the Lord no matter how great the storm is having peace in your mind and just U natural unconscious Faith with whatever happens in your life that's what you want to attain all right we'll cover this teaching the next time with every head bow and every eye shut I'll close it with the word of prayer and then I'll give you this time to pray to the Lord about some things I'm not doing altar call but as I pray I want you to pray about some things and think about some of these things and pray it to the Lord father God I want to thank you so much for salvation through your son the Lord Jesus Christ because it gave us a spiritual nature we don't realize how powerful uh that nature is how it gives us strength and how it changes our lives and that's the real us I pray that we'll identify ourselves with that we'll get our identification correct so that we can live in Victory and then correct ourselves with in our identification help us to realize that we are of your body that we are of you Jesus Christ and because of that we got to clarify what we really want what we really desire and we got to clarify that our supposed desires are actually fleshly desires not really our desires they're supposed lord they're of the flesh help us to correct ourselves and may this be something we're conscious about that it eventually becomes unconscious that it will become a habit where we glorify you praise you stay away from sin thank you Father I mean there are some sins that we distaste unconsciously don't we father such as lgbtq plus isn't that natural for us some murder isn't that natural for us so then how did that happen because something we're conscious about at the beginning and it became such a thing we're used to living so it is a possible to attain it fathers so will you please help us get that back on track in Jesus name we pray amen
