hey guys welcome to today's video i'm Sarah this is No BS Beauty with noticeably more energy today than I did a couple days ago man o yeah okay lots of testing fun things going on but uh today I'm starting to feel a little bit better i don't know so fingers crossed i had my protein shake and a little bit of coffee this morning maybe that helps too so for today I just wanted to talk about products to firm up your skin on your body so uh man over about five years I lost about 70 pounds maybe a little bit more uh I started in 2020 with walking eating keto i call it keto light cameron is keto only because of uh and he's keto because his diabetes runs in his family so I call it keto light because I mix in a little bit of carbs here and there but uh and quitting drinking pop was the biggest thing um but anyway and the more weight you lose the less firm your skin gets and the older you get the less firm it gets so um it's kind of fun so you lose weight and then you feel good and then your body kind of is not as happy it didn't bounce back as you had hoped it would and uh probably happens to a lot of people a lot of people end up that lose like massive amounts of weight and with things like um uh skin removal surgery there's a show I watched the trashiest reality TV called 1,000 pound sisters and it kind of tracked these two actually this whole family through losing weight and one of them initially I think weighed like 500 or 600 lb and now it's down to like 200 and now all the loose skin and surgeries and things like that so for dramatic cases obviously there's not going to be anything topic we can put on to have it all bounce back but just for a little weight loss uh there's certain things you can do to help firm it up so my number one and I've got a whole list of I recommendations my number one tip the one that's helped me the most is I buy the Costa Baja hyaluronic serum it's not terribly expensive um and it's got I think four ingredients in it one two three ingredients um and then I mix copper peptides raw into it and I make my own little copper peptide serum otherwise a giant bottle like this of copper peptide serum would be much much more i think this cost between 20 and $25 depending on where you It used to be on Yes Style now it's now this brand doesn't ship to the US anymore so I found it on I Herb so I'll link to it below and then I buy these Rock Hopper peptides i'll link to where I get them from and I've had them third party tested for purity and amount so and they came back i actually had several tested and this brand out of all of them came back the best so you buy large quantities and then you can mix it and I like to add it a little bit if I still have I think I finished it last night i mix uh a little a gram of this with the NY note the ordinary copper peptide serum and I turn a 1% copper peptide serum into 2% myself and uh yeah so I have tons of these mix them together i mix a couple of these and I end up with a 2% body firming serum i will say this helps a ton uh so if you're just looking for firming this is really nice it's uh if you have oilier skin or live in a more humid environment you might be able to get away with just using this on its own as a moisturizer um I can do it a little bit during the spring but most of the time I end up layering another moisturizer over it um and be sure not to mix too many copper peptides because then you'll end up blue and you'll look like the blue man group so anyway so this is my number one trick and it's uh probably the most affordable of all these and the most effective copper peptides are great for um firming up skin and with collagen production so next up um is going to be the Verse Press Restart uh retinol body lotion or just generally any retinoid lotion this one I like it's 18 bucks it's fragrance-free uh just a nice body lotion with retinol retinol is one of the most studied anti-aging um ingredients that that exists if not one of if not the most um and it helps with collagen production deep down in skin it helps firm up skin and uh you don't necessarily need to apply this everywhere if there's specific areas i know for a lot of people their stomach tends to be an area and then for women um the arm area tends to be an issue and not necessarily maybe your booty or something like that or you can apply it everywhere doesn't matter uh just be sure to start out slow uh and mix a good moisturizer after it to help prevent dryness and flakiness just like you would when you start retinoids on your face this will help the skin cycle is typically about a month so keep that in mind don't give up on something just because you're not noticing results right away give it a while give it two three months um maybe do before and after pictures i don't know but give it time to adjust and don't necessarily go out and buy all these and start all these on the same day uh you can cycle them through and just don't do anything too fast start out slow you don't want your skin to get really dry or reaction so anyway so this one's really nice i think it's 18 bucks and it's eight 6 ounces it's really nice okay this is just a good moisturizer and I really love this i somehow I got this at Walmart on clearance for like $3 uh at the end of the winter i have no idea why it's still in production this one is really thick it's the Adodderm Alter Cream Moisturizer it's 22 bucks not three bucks like I got i should have bought them all but anyway the show hoarders is on TV in the background so I don't need to hoard too much because I've already got a problem it's clear so this one's very thick very creamy balm texture a lot of products say it hydrates for 24 hours or 36 hours or 72 hours i would say this one lasts until you wash it off in your next shower it is extremely hydrating it is very thick which is nice uh but if you have very oily skin or live somewhere where it's very humid you might not like this one but as for a super dry Minnesota gal this one really helped me a lot um this spring and helps with dryness and I'll layer this over some of these other products to help um prevent dryness and things like that so it's really nice works very well in conjunction with retinoids it's very olusive so you can use it over retinoids to prevent dryness or exfoliants so this one I'll just talk about really really quick i actually just like this one to shave with it's the Loxitane almond cleansing and softening shower oil this doesn't necessarily have anything it's gotten so expensive it's 48 bucks now i just noticed for my next purchase I'll probably switch to either the Lar Ro Pose Lipid Care Gentle Foaming Cleansing Oil which is much cheaper uh or the Bioderma Adidome Aderm Cleansing Oil i'll probably switch but I like this one it has a nice light scent and I typically don't like anything with fragrance in it but this one I kind of like but it's gotten a little too expensive for my blood so anyway okay back to the firming so this is this one's nice i know Polish Choice has a uh exfoliant uh what else there's several brands you don't necessarily have to get this specific one this is just one that I know uh the ingredients of and I know it has no uh strong scent i think it has a vanilla scent anyway well let me I think this one's got the sweet almond oil i think it had like a vanilla scent well now when I now when I sniff it that time I don't notice anything so anyway so this one's 30 bucks although it contains 10% glycolic uh body blend so it's got glycolic tartric lactic and citric acids and at the proper pH in the proper percentage uh used on a regular basis glycolic and lactic acid especially are known for firming up skin so when I recommend anti-aging routines exfoliants often come up as part of the discussion because people typically don't think of them as anti-aging ingredients so much they think of them more as just an exfoliant to help smooth skin out but when you use it on a regular basis with the proper pH and amount I think they recommend over 8% uh it does work as an anti-aging ingredient which is brilliant so if you I would say there's generally three types of categories for exfoliants ones that are great for acne prone skin ones that are great for sensitive skin and ones that are great for anti-aging for anti-aging it would be these ingredients this is a great brand there's also Alpha Skin they make some nice stuff this helps smooth your skin out but with continued use it will help firm up skin don't start it too fast too quickly start out slow because it is strong but over time it really does help firm up skin um and you can just use it on specific areas you don't have to use it everywhere because I it'll get expensive quickly but for me my area of focus for my firming up is the arms and the stomach and the arms i'm at the gym every day i don't know maybe I need skin removal surgery i'm such a baby i couldn't do that okay next up is the Polish Choice Weightless Body Treatment 2% BHA which is 32 bucks this is a nice lightweight lotion it's great for acne prone skin uh it's also great for those with KP which is um skin condition where you get like red bumpy skin and it just needs a little bit of exfoliant uh so uh exfoliants are great for that a lot of people get it like on the back of their arms or uh sometimes on their legs so it can be a nice one there's no scent to it i know the packaging has changed since this bottle but uh anyway it's just nice for KP or acne prone skin and uh yeah so worth checking out definitely softens skin up okay a couple more next up Bioma just launched like a ton of body care products as I mentioned in my newsletter this week uh I was a day late day late and a dollar short because it's under the weather uh but they came out with a whole ton of stuff and this is their sensitive skin body moisturizer it has no scent to it it's really nice i would say it's more light textured than the Bioma or than the Bioderma so this one's better for spring and summer and maybe fall and it's not as thick or for skin that's not as super dry if you live in more humid environment it's really quite nice and then one more retinoid the Gold Bond retinol face and body lotion unscented it's 13 bucks my one beef is I have yet to see anything with the exact percentage of retinol in it so I'm not exactly sure i have a feeling it's probably a tiny amount because it's so non-erritating i could use this seven days a week everywhere and not get super dry but it does seem to work well for a lot of people the reviews are pretty good and I'm on my second bottle of it now so this is a nice uh one for sensitive skin or maybe to work your way into a stronger retinoid on your body but uh overall it's really nice and then last but not least the Lar Ro Pose URA cream uria is just a great ingredient uh for KP for uh skin that's uh rough for skin that's flaky uh there's you know you can have a such thing as flaky skin that's not super dry i think it's more like dehydrated type of skin so this one's really nice it's got 10% of ura it's amazing ingredient so you can use this um over some of these or just as a daily moisturizer to help firm up skin as well and help soften it so this one's really nice lar Ro Pose does a pretty good job with a lot of their stuff overall so I just wish they were cruelty-free so yeah that's my big bummer so anyway so the key to firming up skin as long as you didn't just lose like 500 lb cuz there you're probably going to need something else but uh retinoids copper peptides peptides um gentle exfoliants are and ura they're all going to help and being consistent and doing on a daily basis is going to be even more important so anyway so those are just some of my tips i will list them all below uh so check it out and I will see you guys more tomorrow thank you so much bye-bye guys
