to another video you've got Mr to everything English and I know you guys are in full revision mode you are learning your quotes you are learning your techniques you are learning your analysis and you're trying to predict what is going to come up in the exam but guys what if I told you that none of that matters anymore because you've got Mr Everything English and I've got your back because I believe that I have created the ultimate essay plan that fits every every possible question that they can throw your way everything education tuition for maths English and science for each paragraph I'm going to give you the quote the technique the zoom the analysis and then how I would apply it to every single question this first one over here we have the quote from act 2 scene one which is said by mbth it is heat oppressed brain and the technique that we're going to use here is a cilo because this is where this is when mbth is revealing his inner thoughts out loud for the audience and when we zoom in we're going to zoom into the oxymoron oppressed brain and for context we're going to add context after our first effect and this is the Freud and ID now what does this quote mean and what are we doing with it so he oppressed brain guys this is the idea that mbth is saying he feels his brain he feels his mind is being controlled by heat he calls it heat now imagine plastic when you put heat over plastic it begins to melt and once it begins to melt you can mold it and you can change it so what's Mr M telling us about his mind he's saying that he feels his mind is being controlled his mind is being manipulated but what's the heat who is the heat it's the witches and lady mbth so that's the first part and then going to link it to Freud and the ID because the ID is your is your is your slavery to your desires and mbth in this quote is an absolute Savage is an absolute slave to his desire for killing the King because even though he recognizes that it's putting him under immense pressure he still goes and does it and then guys we look at the oxymoron of oppressed brain your brain is supposed to be free your brain is yours your mind is yours your thoughts are yours your thoughts on paper are not supposed to be controlled but MCB is saying that his thoughts are no longer his he's saying I'm not thinking for myself my thoughts are being controlled my thoughts are being manipulated and therefore this quote and this and these techniques and this context I argue can fit every question any question that can possibly come up in your exam ex let's go through it if you were to be given a question about the witches you can use this one quote to talk about the immense power of the witches look what they've done to mbth within one act their words have destroyed this man that's one way of applying it number two you can use it to talk about the type of power the witches and the supernatural have they don't have power to grab you by your collar and put you up against the wall but they have power to control your mind through their words that's how I could link it to the witches and the supernatural then let's say you get a question about McBeth and let's say it asks you about the power of mbth in this quote you can talk about how mbth is powerless mbth shows us that despite being physically strong despite being physically powerful he lacks the brains because he allows himself to be manip iated and to be controlled by the other characters now if you get a question about kingship you can talk about how McBeth in this quote is an absolute Savage to kingship he's dying to be the king to the point that he even understands that being the king and trying to be the king isn't good for his mental state but he still does it anyway now what if you get with the witch what if you get lady McBeth we've done the witches we've done McBeth now what if you get lady lady McBeth now what are you going to do guys lady McBeth in act 1 SC 5 she says I will pour my spirits in your ear and chastise you with the Valor of my tongue well well done lady McBeth because this is the result of you calling him a coward this is the result of you saying to him act like the innocent flower but be the serpent under it you can argue that lady McBeth also is powerful through this quote because it shows you how much she was able to control the husband or you might talk about the relationship between lady McBeth and McBeth do they love each other or is their relationship based upon benefit because to become the queen look what she's willing to put her husband through but guys do you see how this one quote can fit so many questions so you should 100,000% use it on the day of your exam because it fits everything and it's got a cilo that gives you the mark form it's got excellent context in the form of Freud and it's got a lovely oxymoron this quote guys is beautiful now let's move on to the second paragraph paragraph number two and we jump to act 4 scene one and in this quote guys the witches in talking about McBeth who is now the king they say Something Wicked This Way Comes and here guys we're going to use juter position and when we zoom in we're going to zoom into the technique of Crema morphism m chremamorphism is the opposite of personification So chorismic This Way Comes now this is amazing J position because it shows you how evil McBeth has become the fact that the witches are calling him Wicked imagine that it's like the fat kid calling the skinny kid fat it shows you guys how much McBeth has changed that's why it's JX a position because of the contrasting ideas how can the witches be calling the king God's representative on Earth Wicked then when we zoom in we're going to zoom into theomorphism of something they talk about McBeth like he's an object it's not someone Wicked comes it's something wicked comes they dehumanize him they objectify him and this is a lovely part of the quote why because number one it shows you that they are saying that this guy has become so evil that we don't even recognize him it's as though even they are surprised at how much McBeth has changed and number two stereotypically women were always objectified so the fact that they objectify McBeth is just a lovely little Ploy used by Shakespeare now we've got our quote we've got our technique and we've got our zooming in how does this quote fit every single question if you get a question about the witches I would use this quote in a very interesting way use this quote to talk about how the witches believed that they were harmless that they were innocent because they sit back and they Point their fingers and they talk about McBeth as though that's the bad guy not us that's the bad guy and it shows you how the witches believed that they were innocent we didn't do anything we're not evil and you can also talk about how this highlights how maybe in reality the supernatural were not as strong as we thought because within four acts McBeth has surpassed them in his evilness that's the first part how could you use this for mbth guys this is a lovely quote let's say you get a question about kingship you can use this quote to show how McBeth is an absolute impostor when he wears the crown he doesn't belong in the crown he's not worthy of being the king that's why when they call him something wicked they mock him mb's crown mb's kinship is fake it's phony you can also use this quote to talk about how much McBeth has changed in act 1 scene 2 McBeth is referred to as for brave mbth and now Brave McBeth has become something wicked look at the contrast between who he was and what he has become and then guys if you get a question about lady McBeth you can talk about how Lady McBeth also has a hand in this lady McBeth is the cause of this change when she told him act like the innocent flower but be the serpent under it the serpent has now taken over and this is what it has produced so you can talk about how lady mbth was the Catalyst to for him to become this way as you can see both quotes can be used for all of those characters and those themes now let's move on to paragraph number three in paragraph number three guys we go back to the beginning of the play and I use the quote instruments of Darkness tell us truths then I've cut out the middle part only to betray that's the part of the quote that I want to use here guys it's the metaphor because the witches are compared to instruments of darkness and it's the foreshadowing because this quote foreshadows the events of the entire play now what is this quote saying banquot is telling the audience that these witches are not to be trusted because these witches are instruments they're going to play with us but they're not going to play with us in a good way they're going to play with us with evil because they are instruments of darkness and he tells us he foreshadows what will happen in the entire play he says that these witch is they're going to tell us truths what are the truths that they tell MTH you you are s of Glamis you will be Cordo and you will be king they give mbth simple truths just to win him over and once they won him over they betray him how do they betray him by giving him the second set of prophecies that confuse the life out of him they tell him no man born of a woman can harm you but the same time be way M that doesn't make sense then they say to him till great Burnham Wood comes to D name how are Woods supposed to come to the castle so they confuse McBeth they betraying mbth because they are going to leave him to suffer in dire consequences now this quote how can it be used for every single question when it comes to the witches when it comes to the supernatural you can talk about the power that they have and you can talk about how for these characters toying with people was just a game it was fun evil was entertainment they did this not because they had to but because they wanted to and it really highlights the evil nature of these characters number two you can use it to talk about the limited control of the witches but again this limited control is a powerful control the witches do nothing other than then tell you some truths that you believe and then they betray you but guys this quote as a last one shows us how the witches were absolute powerhouses they were behemoths why banquot in the very beginning of the play recognizes that these witches cannot be trusted that they're going to do this then they're going to do this and they're going to cause destruction but does anyone stop them no and it shows you how as a result the Supernatural and the witches were absolutely strong in this text that's that part done how would you use it for McBeth you can use it guys to talk about how McBeth was chosen they didn't just find McBeth by accident the instruments of Darkness told him truths to betray him him he was the Target and it shows you the idea of ambition and desire that McBeth already had the right ingredients for someone to come along and manipulate you can use it also guys for the character of Lady McBeth how would you use it for lady McBeth I will talk about guys how Lady McBeth she is also an instrument of Darkness how she tells MCB some truths and she also ends up betraying him when she calls him a coward to get her own power to get her own way she ends up betraying her husband because she knows what it will do so if the idea guys of manipulation of power of control or you can flip it there's another Point sitting there waiting to be talked about you can talk about how even lady McBeth is a is a victim to the instruments of Darkness how because what does McBeth say to her my dearest partner of greatness we will be great together do not forget the greatness that you are promised McBeth tells her some truths that ends up betraying her because she gets convinced by the supernatural that's why she begs to be unsexed guys this quote because it foreshadows the entire play it can literally be used for everything you can even take it to bankor bankor is not going to come up by himself he'll always come up with somebody else but even bankot he says that but he doesn't do anything about it he just sits and watches everything happen but as you can see guys I'm applying these quotes to McBeth lady McBeth the witches and the supernatural because all the other characters mcdf and Bango they'll always come up with one of these so as long as you can fit it to the main characters you can always offshoot the quote and now let's move on to the last paragraph paragraph four guys I go back to the famous quote he and seamed him from the Nave to the chops and this is talking about mbth and the technique that I used here is symbolism the context that I bring in here is patriarchy and the verb unseed is what we are zooming into now this quote guys from act 1 SC 2 talks about how mbth is killing the enemy and it says that he is unsing he is cutting open the enemy from the belly button to the chin and for this to happen he must pull the enemy cut in deep and then carve up with his knife and it shows you how much of a vicious killer he is he kills and he loves the kill he brings you in he digs the knife deep and then he goes all the way up to the chin and he leaves you there to die now it's symbolic because the way he kills symbolizes at him as though he is some kind of God of War he's not your typical Soldier who's doing a sword fight it's a onean army and it's a Onan battering McBeth is doing all of the damage and I want us to took at patriarchy because in the beginning McBeth fulfilled the patriarchal man perfectly there's no one better than McBeth to fulfill patriarch he's the poster boy because the way he kills the way he fights the way he is on the battlefield this guy is the most powerful man in the kingdom and then we're going to zoom into the verb unseed he's not fighting beautifully he's not fighting gracefully he's fighting like an absolute Savage guys he leaves you no chance to win now how can we use this quote for McBeth lady McBeth the witch is Supernatural first let look at McBeth easy fit it shows you how McBeth is powerful easy peasy fit it shows you how McBeth is a slave to his desires it shows you how McBeth at the beginning is a rightful servant to the king because he's fighting for the king all those fits are very easy very straightforward now how would you link this to Lady MC breth and the witches it shows you the control that they have because it shows you how they were or not how but it shows you that the fact that they were able to influence a man like MCB they can change maybe anyone the fact that they changed him the king's most noble Soldier the king's most loyal Soldier the fact that they changed him shows they're powerful but then again it could also show they weak because they change somebody who's a brute McBeth isn't known for his intelligence McBeth is known for his strength maybe if they pick somebody who is a little bit more in ellent they wouldn't have have had the same impact now this quote these two quotes and that quote with the techniques and the context and the zooming G I argue can fit every single question like I just talked you through they fit all the characters what I would do guys is this for your gcsc exam remember they are going to give you an extract and we're going to plan two paragraphs based upon the extract so really out of these four we only need two what I would advise you to do is learn all four of them spend a couple of hours learning all four then go through past papers and try to plan past papers with these four in your mind so plan two paragraphs using the extract and then decide out of these four which two fit and do that over and over and over again two from the extract two from here two from the extract two from here and what you'll find is that these two of these will always fit every past paper question so on Monday when you go into your exam all you're going to do is open the paper plan two paragraphs from the extract and then use two of these and you're done now practice beforehand turn these into AR so for example you might say how are the witches presented in MTH in this one you might say the witches are presented as powerful in this one the witches are presented as as as as innocent in this one you might argue that the witches are presented as manipulative and in this one you might say the witches are presented as weak because they uh change somebody who's known for strength and not intelligence that's one way you can do it if the question was how is McBeth presented in this one he's presented as weak in this one he's evil in this one he's a victim and in this one the guy is an absolute Powerhouse but guys do you see one essay same quote same technique same zooming in same context but fits lots of different questions learn it apply it it and see how you get on all right guys I hope this video helps I hope it will save your gcss as always guys thank you so much for the support it's been Mr Everything
