Infinix Animation Tutorial with Macromedia Flash

Introduction

  • Welcome to Infinix.
  • Topic: Creating animations with Macromedia Flash (now Adobe Animate).
  • Macromedia Flash is still available for free download.

Getting Started

  • Installation: Search for Macromedia Flash on Google and download it.
  • Interface Overview:
    • Menu Bar
    • Toolbar (common in drawing applications)
    • Color Panel
    • Align, Info, and Transform Panels
    • Layer Panel: Right-click to add or delete layers.
    • Timeline: Contains frames (Frame 1, Frame 20, Frame 50, Frame 100).

Working with Frames

  • Keyframes:
    • Insert a Keyframe (K Frame) by right-clicking on a frame.
    • Clear a Keyframe if needed.
    • Insert frames by highlighting and right-clicking.
  • Canvas Properties:
    • Right-click on the canvas to adjust size, speed (FPS), and background color.
    • Zoom in/out via View menu or by adjusting the percentage in the top right corner.

Creating Shapes

  • Drawing a Circle:
    • Select the circle tool from the toolbar, click, hold, and drag to create a circle.
    • Stroke and fill: Change stroke color and fill types (solid, linear, radial).

Motion Animation

  • Creating Motion Animation:
    • Ensure Frame 1 has a Keyframe.
    • Draw a circle, keep fill, delete stroke.
    • Insert a Keyframe in Frame 100 and move the circle.
    • Right-click between Keyframes to create a motion tween.
    • Test the movie to see the animation.
  • Path Animation:
    • Delete the middle Keyframe.
    • Draw a motion path on a new layer.
    • Ensure path start and end coincide with the circle's pivot.
    • Test the movie to see the circle following the path.

Shape Animation

  • Creating Shape Animation:
    • Insert a Keyframe in Frame 1, draw a circle, fill with radial colors.
    • Insert a Keyframe in Frame 100 and draw three squares filled with solid colors.
    • Insert a Keyframe between Frame 1 and 100, select it, and choose shape tween from the Tween menu.
    • Test the video to see the results.

Additional Tips

  • Layer Management:
    • Hide/unhide layers by clicking the dot under the eye in the layer panel.
    • Layers 1 and 3 for motion animations; Layer 4 for shape animation.
    • Observe color differences in the timeline for different layers.
