woe what though I might live without a savior when I come to die how would it be oh to face the valley's womb without him and without him all [Music] eternity oh the joy of having all in Jesus above the broken heart to heal bear a sin so great but he'll forgive it nor a sorrow that he does not feel if I have but Jesus only Jesus nothing else in all the world be more than everything is mine in Jesus For my needs and more he will provide for my needs and more he will go good morning to all who are connected with our program this morning as we start the regular Sabbath morning meeting for the small group known as Friends in Christ for those of you who do not know who we are we are a small group of 7th Adventists who call themselves friends in Christ because they are sold out to Jesus jesus is the principle power influence person whatever you want to say in their lives there's nothing that's equal to him there is nothing that's above him and therefore it is this Jesus Christ that the members of this group are sold out to and we anyone can be a member of the group doesn't matter which church you belong to or who you are all that is required is by faith that you be connected to Jesus Christ and so that's what this group is all about and uh if you are watching at 8:00 a.m this morning right now or sometime later on YouTube because the program is on YouTube presently and will always be at the channel under my name Lesie McMillan i am a retired 7th Adventist pastor and uh I work as the coordinator for the group and uh this is who we are and we lift up only Jesus on this platform and the reason for that is very very simple only in Jesus Christ can we any one of us as friends in Christ or anybody find eternal life i will give anyone a few thousand dollars if you can find in the Bible where eternal life is found anywhere else other than in Christ Jesus it's only in him for human beings and for that reason Jesus is king by faith it's a faith experience that Jesus is in our lives so we welcome those of you who are here at 8:00 a.m and we are ready to begin and to review as was mentioned we are Seventh Day Adventists and I'm going to tell you this for this reason we are trueblooded Seventh Adventist but seventh day Adventist in Christ christ is above the church organization he's above the denomination he's above anything on this planet and so that that's that's that's how we see it that's how we are experiencing it but that being the case just like Christ was right this is the way we like to say it Jesus came to his church but his church rejected him you know that he went but he went to church every Sabbath he didn't stop he didn't separate himself he didn't anything he remained there so we are the same way and I'm telling you that to say that the common source of inspiration during the week four uh members of this group is the Sabbath school quarterly the Sabbath school quarterly we suggest to members that in their time with Christ alone which we call PSRL include a review of the Sabbath school lesson but everyone is free to study whatever they want to and get inspiration from that but we do have as a common source the Sabbath school lesson so when we begin to share we like to refer to the Sabbath school lesson and so we're happy that those of you are here on time we can begin to share whatever inspiration you got from the Sabbath school lesson or anywhere else for that matter that reflects on Christ and his supremacy all right so that's the introduction and uh that is where we are this morning now for those of you who may or may not know uh the quarter first quarter of 2025 closed with the last Sabbath school lesson this week right and the theme for the entire quarter was God's love and justice and uh the last lesson this week was very interesting it spoke about the twin uh commandments of love love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul and your neighbor or others as yourself this was the theme this is how it ended this week and I don't know how it was with you but I found it very interesting and of course another point for those who may be new to us seeing that we are as friends in Christ sold out to him we see everything every subject every situation in the light of Christ and as uh Elder Brown always says through the eyes of Christ and that's how I saw this last lesson for this week and I'm anxious to share some of the things that came to my mind but I would like to greet each person that's on right now and give to anyone an opportunity to share what you may have gotten from this last uh lesson for the quarter all right so we welcome this morning uh Stephen Fll he was the first one on then our co-host Captain Sheldon Moore and our pastor Anderson at least I saw him on yes and then Elder Brown came on so we welcome this uh what uh distinguished group and I'm sure we should be able to get some good thoughts as we begin this morning from anyone and so what I'm going to ask I welcome you that you can unmute your mic as you know the custom is here just to unmute your mic and begin to talk and the platform will be yours share with us what Jesus Christ has given to you this week or tonight or right now to share with us uh on our meeting this morning who will be the first to unmute all right no one has unmuted and we are also conscious that it's possible that uh while you're on the program you may not be able to unmute you may not be able to and so what I want to do then is to refer to what you may be seeing on the screen as you notice there is a slide that speaks about the supremacy of Christ and Christ is supreme for us as I mentioned earlier and that's why we call ourselves friends in Christ so as I looked at the lesson the final lesson for the quarter during this week there are few things that uh got my attention and to put it very very simply uh I I have it in an outline uh somewhere else but to put it very simply for any of us in Christ then we say first things must be first there is no way that anyone can come to a very logical conclusion without in the mind and in the thought process work from the first things first and to for those of you who may be may be listening uh let me tell you how I approached that particular thought and then apply it to the points made in the lesson here's what I ask what comes first the chicken or the egg all right I want you to think about that the chicken or the egg now I suspect the answer would be based on I would say your your orientation right your your thoughts and so forth so that that that may be the key all right but let me see if I can get to the slide that I have prepared for this i'm going to go very quickly as best I can saying that we are beginning like this this morning ah here it is all right if you can see my SK screen and I'm going to talk from the screen all right what comes first the chicken or the egg so based on your perspective as I said this week every chicken I know every chicken I know came from an egg and if you anyone here saw a chicken a real chicken that didn't come from an egg then you're going to have to go to creation now you see where I'm coming from and on the fifth day the three in one God all working together created birds and fish and so forth and so on and that was the hen and then or the chicken and the hen laid the egg you got it so the chicken was first so then I followed that up from the lesson this week which comes first follow me please love for the three in one God or holy acts kindness to others and or love to even the Godhead and others what is first what comes first some may be tempted to express love to the three in one God some may be tempted to feed the poor clothe the naked and everything like that but here is the point based on our understanding of first things must be first it doesn't matter what you believe about the chicken and the egg it doesn't matter what the truth is that the chicken came first on the fifth day of creation and from there you had eggs and chicken eggs and chicken and that's the way it was set up it is equally the same spiritually there are certain things that must come first spiritually and I like to put it this way as I thought about the last lesson and maybe the entire quarter matthew 6:33 you see it on the screen from the lips of Jesus he gave us the idea of what should be first now I know some folks you know everyone is entitled to their own uh view but I say as Jesus said seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness that's the three in one God so we can just say seeking the kingdom first is what ought to be first and then Jesus said all other things will be added and uh that's how Dave would say it what is all tell me how much is all all is all but the first thing is the kingdom and so you'll ask what is the kingdom we have decided on this platform based on scripture Luke 17 and verse 21 that the kingdom of the threein one God the kingdom of heaven the kingdom of Christ whatever has to do with the kingdom in the Bible is Jesus why looking at Luke 17 and verse 21 you would remember the Pharisees came to Jesus and says "Jesus show us the kingdom." And Jesus was quick to say "It doesn't come by observation you can't see it if someone says to you the kingdom is here there or anywhere don't believe it." And then he ended in verse 21 by saying "The kingdom my kingdom is within." Right i I'll I'll pause here the kingdom is within you when we search the Bible elsewhere the only thing we find that's within us is Jesus Christ by faith he says "I am the vine you are the branches abide in me and I in you." As Paul says "I live yet not I but Christ lives in me and the life I live is Christ." My conclusion based on my own experience of faith and the text that I'm showing you here is is that Jesus Christ in my life and connection with him that is the kingdom that must be first that must always be the determining force in my life at all times at all times and then we go from there that's biblical now how do we apply that to the closing lesson for the week in the quarter and the author of the lesson attempted once again to promote kindness to promote doing good things you know when you have love to the father this is how it's manifested or if you love somebody else you're going to feed them you're going to clothe them and so forth but based on this text it doesn't make sense spiritual sense to begin with the second thing let's put it that way or the third or the fourth or the fifth without making sure the the first is in place that that's that's my point as we reflect on the entire quarter all the things that the author came up with with no strong emphasis on Christ by faith in 2025 it is important that we look at this just review it for a few minutes this morning that the first thing in our lives now in the future must be Jesus Christ like a branch is connected to the vine we become fused with him we get to know him and my Bible says to know Christ like this is life eternal and so this is why we say we have life eternal right now by faith so for anyone who attempts to put emphasis on the feeding of the poor the clothing the putting clothes on the naked and I mentioned this because this is how the lesson the quarters lesson closed you remember this and you for those of you who know me long enough this is a very favorite uh parable of mine the parable of the uh let me see if I can get it here the parable of the sheep and the goat and I think I touched all right let me see if I can go back here and get it just stay with me ah there it is i'm just going from my screen that I'm following here the sheep and the goats you remember this was at the end of everything and for those of you who have heard me on stewardship this is the ending of one sermon the example that the author of the lesson closed with this quarter is the last part of a long sermon that Jesus gave from Matthew 24 right went on to 25 and for us that's one of the most important sermons in the Bible and he chose now the last thing when all the folks are gathered before Christ some go on the left and some went on the right you'll remember it those on the right were sheep and they were going in and the writer or Jesus said that the why they went in was that they fed the poor the hungry they clothed the naked and they fulfilled the second part of the two great commandments they went ahead and helped people and then the goats came along and they could not go in because they did not do that they did not Now some folks take that and run with it this is why you have to do this this is why you have to do that and so forth and so on but here's my point here's my point first things first and here's what came out at me jumped out at me at this is this before I can be on the right side and enter into the kingdom I have to be a sheep the first thing is to be a sheep and if you read John chapter 10 Jesus said "I am the good shepherd." Listen it's me it It's coming right back listen folks when you are in Christ and when you read anything everything leads to him comes from him uh and and this is I don't see anyone can go can cannot believe this point that I'm making f before you clothe the first person before you give food to the most hunger hunger hungry person you've got to be a sheep giving food helping others doing and it does not make you a sheep I am a sheep of Christ because I'm fused to him he is my shepherd he He abides in me he leads me in paths of righteousness it's Christ the the shepherd was in David jesus is that he said it unless he would be the greatest impostor in the world and so when I have Christ here's the application now I will have the spirit of Christ i will be kind i will help those who are in need i will honor the father this is it but you've got to be a sheep now the goats i remember in my evangelistic days I used to I used to make this difference very clear a sheep is willing to follow a sheep is willing to be guided a a sheep is silent a sheep is cooperative yet it was these who did all the big work and everything else but the goat is always butting always questioning always you know the the goat think I must be a goat i don't have to believe what is being said but they themselves don't help others they're they're so you know but you know as I thought about this we all were born goats and by faith and the miracle from heaven we become sheep the best sheep of the shepherd Jesus and when the first things are first then all the rest fall into place so this is I see it gentlemen this morning if anybody else wants to add on what you saw out of this this lesson this week uh there's so many thoughts but I look at the clock again and I welcome some others who have joined us dr kerry came on i see sister Morris and some others unmute yourself now and if you want to add to the thought that I have just made here uh feel free to do so but it is great here's here's my statement it is great to be a sheep of the great shepherd Jesus Christ it is great to be connected with him by faith it is great and wonderful to have life eternal in him there is there's no life eternal anywhere else it doesn't come by giving food it doesn't come by helping the poor it doesn't it doesn't come from keeping the two great commandments eternal life comes from Christ 1 John 5 11 and 12 amen and so this is where we are this morning and I can go on the negative side just let me close it all off with the negative side remember there are a lot of folks I tell you the Bible is is something else there were a lot of folks who thought they should have been in right and Jesus told this and they started to talk right saying "I should have been with those folks on the right hand i look I did all of this i did all of that." But you remember how how the goat operates right the goat doesn't follow anything the goat follow his own way and all of that and they thought they were doing it right and they did all this thing in the name of the shepherd but they were not submitted to the shepherd the shepherd says "I don't I don't know you who are you?" And they were not there same thing with the five foolish virgins there is a lesson in this folks and if you study the lesson for the entire quarter all I'm saying is let us keep first things first and the first thing is that faith union and relationship with Jesus Christ all right who can unmute now and and share with us anything you wish okay okay good morning good morning yes I have I haven't oh okay let me let let me take care of that right now sir can I Can I go on yes go on i'll while I clear it oh I'll wait uh okay here we go since I was on my uh my uh screen showing all right it's it's gone go ahead Sister Morris good to hear from you yes i just want to say that I too I want to be strengthened every day more and more every day you know I I am a weak vessel and I have to be strengthened every day and I want the group to continue to pray for me because it is my intention to follow God's word and to allow him to lead me and do what I can for the sake of the kingdom so yeah this there's a little more I wanted to say oh go right ahead go just pray for me today just just just continue to pray for Mary Morris and um I'm sure the Lord will do the rest as I follow his word okay so nice to have you now let me say sister Morris sister Morris yes go ahead let me unmute and listen to my fellow friends in Christ they they're going to mash me for this but you know they they know me now i can't get out of it uh and and and I have great concern for you they know I ask for you all the time all the time i want to share this with you all right you ready i heard you say that you want to be strong and you're a weak right and you're a weak vessel and all of this on this platform ready what is more important is and you ought to be able to say this this morning next Sabbath and every day of your life that you are a saved weak vessel all right no no you got to that must be first this is why I'm saying we don't make the mistake and think for uh what noon a second you know I think then noon a second and this is how it is with me and if there are others on the platform as I am then assist me in helping sister Morris to see this that we are not saved that we don't have our weakness our what else you mentioned uh challenges and so forth and so on does not play a role in our eternal life this is why the platform is not popular and now they're going to say to me afterwards "Well it's because you do this all the time Pastor McMillan but I would hate to know that my sister Morris Yeah goes to church where you go to Anguson i go to Hillview oh I mean Hillview that's what I meant i meant that you know old school that's from the old school and you doubt for a second that you don't have the assurance of salvation that has been our pro and it's our church's problem we must have it in such a way that it rolls out of us and we say despite our weakness despite whatever may be happening in Christ Jesus we have life eternal we do amen amen there's nothing more you don't have to be strong to get eternal life you don't have to see nothing we got to believe it just as you are and then share it and share it so that some of our people could rejoice and have the peace the joy and now I'm coming to you now again and the growth growth you and the growth and the prosperity and the all of that comes No no but we only want you to put it out front now you see we we we want it to come out front when we have our meeting the first thing we praise for is salvation you're not going to get a true friend in Christ go on any pro program and they ask for testimonies i listened to to to the prayer meeting this morning oh my testimony is there was a baby that was born with with uh with jandice and so forth and we prayed and one hour one hour the jandice was gone that's their praise not us for us the first thing comes out of our mouth if you ask me to give a testimony on a prayer line the first thing I praise the Lord for the eternal life that I have in Christ Jesus this morning brethren I have nothing to fear if I were dropped down dead like Hyram ramming right but you folks know if something were to happen to me this morning I am okay in Christ then you say "Christ strengthens me every day christ provides for me every day." And you don't leave out the other part now but you say "First things first." Because the longer you stay with Christ the more you see him you think you can feel yourself stronger no way sister White says the closer and and you come to the light the more imperfections the more this so you lean on him heavily and then what folks are talking about that the his power to work miracles is happening in us every day you don't you don't have to no one needs to give a miracle to convince me that there's power in Christ is Christ folks and let me tell you and I'm so sure about this that that you could imagine the many people who going to be thinking that they should be in they really think and for what they did or didn't do or what have you and they're not there why because of only Christ so Sister Morris yes yes i uh and you come out again forgive me but just think about that what we call it is the assurance our church call it this it's not us we must have the assurance of salvation both now and in the judgment and that's how our church puts it in doctrine number 10 and the only way that's possible is in Christ Jesus amen amen yes i Yes i I So give me a testimony happening give me a testimony now i am I am a child of Christ christ in Christ in mess in me i will I will be be That's not living Christ christ daily how about How about that are you saved i'm saved i'm saved see I know you're an Adventist i I was an Adventist i couldn't say that too some years ago or you can say you have eternal life if if if you feel funny saying I'm saved right if you feel funny that's how it when I start you know you feel funny cuz Yeah you're saved and you're still here so that you can say you have eternal life i'm And you're covering it you're covering everything yes yes and you're covering it uh uh theologically right when I have eternal life now in Christ when I die it's asleep that that's what it is when a person dies in Christ it's asleep in the sense that you will come up in the first resurrection for everybody is going to come up everybody right but the others who come in the second resurrection thinking it's the First they're the one who will say "Jesus how come I'm on the outside i did all of this i did all of that." Say "I never knew you you never spent time with me you did." And it's going to happen it's going to happen they're going to be more people on the outside than on the inside [Music] you're smiling you still love me so my my friends now who are on you all must forgive me man this sister Mars you know I always ask for her and if we can get one one sister at Hillview that can stand up and testify about her assurance of salvation you know what that could mean sister Morris right right amen when wherever you stand up again yes what happened to Sister Morris she been listening to Pastor McMillan but you let them know you fellowshipping with Jesus amen amen jesus the Adventist church can't change that no church no Catholics can't change it no it's Jesus praise the Lord praise the Lord amen so I I wish you a great Sabbath anybody else or anything else yes sir good morning happy on Tuesday we cannot save ourselves by no rather we come back what came back the angle how did it come back up yes you're right thank you okay thank you uh Captain Mo I was uh confirming what you said uh on the lesson on Tuesday uh the second to last paragraph say "We cannot save ourselves by lawkeeping rather it is by grace we are saved through faith not of ourselves but as the gift of God we do not keep the law in order to be saved we keep the law because we are already saved we do not keep the law in order to be loved but because we are loved and thus we decided to love God and others um I believe that the situation that the city mentioned that you were talking about is something very common that we always uh think that we are not good enough that we are not saved that we are concerned about our salvation but really as you mentioned we are saved we are saved already after we accept and believe in Jesus it's just that things doesn't mean they're going to be perfect as uh Paul said in Romans 7 19:20 uh for I do not do the good that I want but the evil which I do not want this I keep on doing now if I do not do what I do not want it is no longer I who do it but sin that dwells in me and that is the purpose of God to transform us to change us to give us a new heart so that we can then in that transformation by being close to Jesus every day that we then will overcome that we're going to become a new person but we are here and we are being in that process of transformation and the only thing that we can do is not believe that we are not safe but to get closer to Jesus so that he can keep doing his talking thank you very much Pastor Nio uh my good friend and realtor you are correct you are correct and what you just outlined there was the theory right straight from the scripture now when that scripture comes in my life all right when the essence and truth of that scripture or the experience of Paul comes into my life we don't even use the word grace anymore it's a cover up Christ because there's no grace without Christ you see and the old enemy remember he's slick and he've got he's got 6,000 years on us 6,000 years and you hear people oh by God's grace and then they go on whatever they by God's grace by God's grace and the devil hasn't minimized it and uh for us anytime we see the word grace we say it's better to say Christ because Christ because no grace ever died for me no grace let you see how sweet the devil is no grace ever did anything it's Jesus jesus brought the grace there's no grace without him just poor grace without him you it it doesn't work but when it is Christ he's the epitome as John says he brought the grace moses this but he there's no grace without him and then when we understand that grace is only an opportunity it's just an opportunity and that opportunity that's what that's the real meaning of grace that opportunity becomes real to any person now to a person only in Christ Jesus and the key word as you know Eld inio is faith by that faith and belief in Christ it can be faith in belief in we now keeping the commandments right by grace or by grace and all this no Jesus in me lives his life in me so that like the apostle Paul I can say I live yet not I is Christ and what that means is not negative you see that i I I wish man I I could have this in other words it's not negative christ makes me pure and a pure person will not commit adultery i tell you a poor a pure person will not uh run around and fornication no and a loving person will not kill anybody christ gives us his love it's a different thing we don't even say it we now keep the commandments because we are saved in fact I go as far as to say when I'm in Christ I don't need any commandments i don't need anything written in in on in the Bible or on stone now now this this kills the Pharisee amen and yet Jesus says he's going to write that why do I need it from the book from the stone and how does he write it in my heart he makes me pure he makes me loyal when I'm loyal this is why we say on this platform at the very beginning there is nothing that's equal to Christ and there's nothing above him not even the Bible now they say "What you talking about?" What we're saying is Christ is king we're keeping the first commandment we are loyal to him there's nothing nothing that's equal to or above him that's the first commandment and then loyally we don't have any idols we don't have nothing pet you know that's the that's the second and then we keep the same day he kept not because it's a commandment it's because I'm loyal to him and he lives his life in me now folks may say well I reached there yet i don't know but the secret to what I am saying is Christ and so as I was saying earlier it doesn't matter how weak you are it doesn't matter when you start when you start I was arguing with a pastor this week and I mentioned the thief on the cross and you know they go to all kinds of things the point is that it was Jesus speaking to that thief on the cross that's why he's going to be there it is Jesus that lives in my life that's going to make the difference jesus himself by faith and for those who see it it's just a beautiful experience just as Paul described Elder Inio things he wanted to do he found he wasn't doing it things he didn't want to do he was doing it but when he checked on Christ it says "Thanks be to God the Father that in Christ Jesus I have the victory." I say "Amen." Anybody else as the clock keeps ticking good morning and happy Sabbath and Bryce hey good morning so good to be here let's finish tying your shoes huh that's all right your neck and listen and listening in to what's happening but I just rejoice this morning that I am one of those sheep and I'm thankful for Jesus my shepherd and as I look at a text that PA placed in the chat uh Matthew 25 you know the one you were alluding to a while ago 31-46 yes when the Son of Man shall come in his glory and all the holy angels with him then shall he sit upon the throne of glory and before him shall he gather all nations shall be gathered all nations and he shall separate them one from another as a sheep shepherd divided his sheep from the goats so what it tells me there's going to be just those two categories no more you're either going to be a sheep or you're going to be a goat now this is what even gets me excited he says "Now and he shall set the sheep on his right hand but the goats on the left then shall the king say unto them on his right hand." So he's talking to us now the sheep the she the sheep right he says "Come ye blessed of my father inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." Wow and now when I look at that all that you were saying now and this is why we could go back to your preamble which comes first right he's saying "Now remember you're already a sheep." Now right and he says "Now for I was hungry and ye gave me meat i was thirsty and ye gave me drink i was a stranger and ye took me in naked and ye clothed me i was sick and so forth and so on." What's the point the point is that when we become sheep which only Christ makes us sheep amen automatically now we do his bidding right so the hunger we feed them the thirsty we give them drink and it goes on and it goes on but you're not doing that to become a sheep you're already a sheep that's right and this is the joy now that I get when I look at a passage like this this morning just reminding me that in Christ everything else will be met so what's the most important thing for me this morning is to know that I'm a sheep and I'm saved by the shepherd and then what it means whatever it is that I do it is the shepherd living in me who does it through me so I'm rejoicing this morning man this is this is this is so beautiful you know ties right in and you don't have to worry about doing some things hoping now that when he comes you would qualify and you would get into the kingdom and and and you know what what what even is so decept uh so de deceptive right is the fact that almost everybody just talk about going to heaven they want to get in the kingdom you know I want to see a you know but but nobody understands that when you have Christ now and have eternal life you're not going to miss heaven you're going to be there so it's important in 2025 to know that I am a sheep saved by the shepherd i have eternal life now and just like you said when I die it's only going to be asleep because Jesus who is the resurrection and the life I'm falling asleep in him and it's and and it's just good news you know i I attended a funeral yesterday not an Adventist funeral an Anglican you know and it's just amazing to see what people are still doing in Christendom in 2025 i watched them as they had that flag or whatever you call it over the casket and it comes apart now they say now we are ushering him into the gate and they started you know all the incense and all the rest of stuff walking around the casket you know but earlier they said this person is dead so so I'm trying to figure what what could you possibly think that that walking around could do for that individual you know but again it shows us that we as human beings we are really no match for the enemy you know but but but beloved just let's believe this morning that we have this eternal life in Christ Jesus and in him alone and having that you will not miss all the nicities of heaven and all the other things that comes with being in Christ by faith when we have Jesus today we have everything that Amen so I'm rejoicing with you sir and all the others on the platform knowing that it makes sense for me to be a sheep right because the sheep will hear well done and will inherit the kingdom of heaven but that's my contribution for this morning i'll keep it mild and then I'm looking forward to how it will be handled in the Sabbath school this morning in fact I already know but you know we will see how that works out so I'm rejoicing this morning and thanks the PAS for the text he has a couple more good morning Captain good to know you're here with us yes sir i have one question on the sheep on the sheep and the goat if you don't know if you you're a sheep or a goat what are you i I I I I don't know well I I think my mind my mind was going a mile a minute i don't know if there's anybody else but as Lebron said there only two you know only two I know in the Bible so so if you're not one of those then you must be a part of the devil's crew must be evil angel you know you got one-third of them and hey and in this same text it says they were cast into the lake of fire prepared for the devil and his angels so uh that's all that could come to my mind you know the hellfire wasn't prepared for us that's right it was prepared for the devil and his angels so another sheep or a goat you got to be like one of them other fellas and Pastor American Captain hey you you were born a goat that's what I say that's right you were born a goat so So that's that's my point right there you don't know if you're a sheep or a goat you have to be a goat you were born a goat so you It is only Jesus who can make you only Christ that's right right the shepherd produced sheep not goats that's correct so we rejoice in the fact that we know the shepherd and the shepherd knows us and the miracle is what makes us sheep in the eyes of the shepherd amen and if someone wondering uh whether they are sheep or goat remember what the goat does this is what I used to do in my ev evangelistic meeting they they butt and they resist and you can imagine and and I'm thinking of sister Morris you can imagine if Sister Morris go somewhere now talking about she's enjoying Christ and what people's going to start butting man but what but you what you think you say but what's what's going to happen if you sin or you do this but and they keep butting they they don't don't willingly accept and then like the sheep though accept and allow the shepherd to lead the shepherd to do everything else and and and and that's the beauty of Psalms 23 man psalms 23 is truly a reflection of Christ and and he claim he says he's the good shepherd and uh so that's the answer Captain and Pastor Mark uh another text that PAS has in there Hebrews 9 11-12 but Christ being come high priest of good things to come by a greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands that is to say not of this building neither by the blood of goats and calves but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place having obtained eternal redemption for us so the focus for us in Christ has to be Christ Jesus himself that's correct he is the lamb that's right he is the lamb from the foundation of the world it's not an afterthought that's correct the only way out for human beings all right we've got five minutes anyone else i can say we're on the closing exercises and call the names as I see them and if you if you're able to we know sometimes you may not be able to then uh you can uh speak with us all right i guess That's correct and uh I thank God that I heard the voice of Christ uh calling me and I I yielded to that that invitation and uh I've been enjoying time in the pasture of the shepherd's fold and uh he has given me he has given me all the blessings that I could have ever asked for and um I'm rejoicing that I have eternal life and salvation in him and it is it is my desire to remain and abide in him always amen thank you i was drawn to a word you used that you yielded to that uh voice we the veterans we the veterans on this platform we say we didn't resist it amen is there a difference and you see now folks may say "Pastor McMillan like to split his and all this." Uh I don't yield but uh let let me give you the theological thing behind it a a carnal person i didn't hear brother Wilfford the carnal person resists right that's what we do naturally the yielding is not natural but the resisting is what we do because you know how Sister White says it that Jesus Christ and his spirit is like a magnet right you you those of you know about my boy and and think about it Elder Brown I've used these illustrations man all over the place but it makes no difference it seems it makes you know I I I don't sometimes when I'm laying down and I think about the many illustrations we have you know like a magnet but the human being wants to play a part it's it's it's that was the sin in heaven and listen it hasn't stopped no cannot So the magnet is there the credit goes to that pull that's correct so that that pull from Christ he's always the first h first mover lovely and you know we've heard people defend the role of a human being there are those who defend it like like like the calypso evangelist we had here talking about Christ has a role well you got a role what role yes yes jeez soul that magnet pulls and naturally we resist and sister White says it this way to anyone who does not resist now that's what we do all the time but the minute you don't resist the power takes over that's right but that's it that's what scientists big theologians and all of those they can't understand it mhm that's difference between yielding and you from now until tomorrow what's the difference between yielding and not resisting something else to think about go ahead Dave i see you wanted to come on thank you Anderson yes i I think and and and it's good to have the conversation um one of the things I was thinking is perhaps we any one of us may need to do a a a word search in terms of the original language because many times as human beings we do use the word uh we do seek to take the credit for ourselves and there are certain scriptures that says things like um work out your own salvation or uh you know the the very scriptures would would use that and so um humans naturally use that based on those scriptures which say I gave an example so maybe we may need to find in the original language when those words are used right um is there another way or another meaning they put it that's one but two you said just now where you talked about sister white says we um we must I'm trying to remember the exact words what repeat the exact words you say what Mr white says we must don't use those exact words from me again please oh right well a magnet you know you know a magnet pose it's powerful uh right and I think you said when we don't resist right is that the word you said cuz we naturally resist right right okay so the person listening on on our conversation would say "Hey ah you just said we don't resist." So isn't that still my part that I play you you understand in discussion now right you know resisting is what you do naturally man we keep we keep people people like to say why how come everybody's not saved then you know if if if you see when you come on our side now they say but how come everybody is not saved the answer to that is simple we already lost and we we we resist almost automatically you do resist automatically right we yeah We do resist automatically so and and Christ is constant he's sovereign he's not it's sovereign it is always there it's like a magnet so then the minute you cease resisting the magnet takes over but it's a miracle we're not going to be able to understand that it's a miracle you think right it's a miracle it's supernatural right no human being can understand the supernatural no sir right cuz based on before you had used that word and that's what I was going to interject later because one would say let's let's let's be like to use our one i would say well I wanted to give my life to Christ or I wanted to be a Christian 10 years ago i went to meetings but how come how come it just happened in 98 and my response would then be to myself it's really a mystery or a miracle because while I went to many services respond to alter call from 20 years ago but how is it that only 20 years ago you um it it it took place and then the answer for me to myself would be boy it's a miracle i can't explain it i don't understand it but all I know I thank Jesus that it happened so that that that's a part of um what I wanted us to discuss because people do ask these questions as we share um the other one since we for those of you I hope I don't want to delay it the other one when we when we share with them about the power of surrender and when we talk about hey I I had no choice in this matter because I born in sin they would then give you the text again go back to Joshua he say choose you this day whom you will faith you know um they they they'll come at you with that text so the Bible itself saying that's why when I said maybe that times may need to look at it in the original language to get a better understanding so they say Jesus himself told Joshua choose you today now what I would say to myself in that case I would say but I really had no choice i born in sin so I didn't choose so obviously I couldn't choose sin cuz I had no part to play if you want to look at it in the m go back to the history the fact that we were born in sin from Adam and Eve and passed down so then they would say well at least you choose to come to Christ and I think that key word again for me now to myself it's a mystery um we I may say I I naturally surrendered or I surrendered and why it happened today man it should it didn't happen 10 days ago it's a mystery that's unexplainable but I know time go so I don't want to um discuss it i should have come in early i actually just came in but I want to I want to join my friends in Christ and for his rejoicing that I have the salvation i I think about it daily that I have that in Christ you know and when I lay down like last night before I went to bed and just recommitting and surrendering to him knowing that had I not woken up this morning I would be okay because I have the eternal life so to my friends have a wonderful Sabbath uh maybe next week I could um join in the debate earlier all right thank you Dave uh you're leading us in that area uh awaken in my mind a lot of things and reasoning and I uh I would close this way uh and it depends on on what information some people are exposed to and it is covered with our phrase I think Elder Brown is still here and those of you who are still here understand it uh where's Captain Moore the phrase that we have to cover that to cover it right is deception by default none of us no human being is going to have the answer to the mystery of salvation we are told we will be studying it you know for eternity for eternity right now we must believe that and so wherever a person is deceived when we say default they have no other way to go i mean they they can't pull up anything there are some folks who me their mentality can't pick it up they they they don't have the mental capacity to do it right what what where they are is is is not the truth right so they are deceived by default because that's where they are now the Bible covers that in the time of ignorance God winked at right so we're not saying people like those going to be lost because you know the Bible is is is very very very clear on this but in any with all of us and anybody right uh you're never going to know all all and so forth so having said that anything that has to do with I the human right the human and divine cannot mix like that now whether a person knows that or not then we leave that up to Christ but for those of us who recognize it here's the choice choice as you say or the things that they have to look at is the sovereignty of the threein one God some folks don't even see a threein one God and what we are now talking about is the result of the work of the enemy he has made it this way that there's confusion there's different view look at the other listen there are five other religions they wouldn't even talk about Christ christ doesn't even enter in period the Jews the Muslims the this and and all of that it's it's something else but we do have a covering for wherever a person is you're going to be held responsible for what you know in the time of ignorance yes but if something is revealed to you and and that's and and and that's the work of Christ the goat will buck right the goat is not going to accept it but the sheep follows along and all that came out so it is something that we can discuss all day but everybody must know in his or her mind and Jesus will know if you've been exposed jesus will know that when the pull of the gospel hit your heart and uh you resisted you resisted it for all those years you're talking about and in the one minute you didn't resist he takes over and he's continually in charge and he can bring about oh boy we can go all day on this he can bring about your not resisting like Jonah right look where did he look where he sent Jonah my Bible tells see that the Lord Jesus was behind the whole thing the storm the boat the fish everything so that Jonah came to the point where he stopped resisting so what I am saying and that's that's what started all of this in the final analysis is when the human gives up on his or herself stop resisting and like a sheep follows follows just follow and that's up to every individual and each person must know where he or her is well is there someone that didn't speak that need to speak the time is gone i don't know i haven't heard Wilfred for the morning sister Anique how are you this morning good morning and happy Sabbath to all in Christ Jesus i am rejoicing in him and it is well um regarding to being a sheep or a goat you know this week I had this experience with this resident so he soiled the bed right the entire bed and I'm doing his care and I had another staff that was also assisting and the other resident I mean um staff is speaking with him whatever saying look how good you know you you're being like we're caring for you or whatever you know just making small talks with him and um he swear at us like he literally sweared at us like cursed us out this is someone that can't help themsel and I was like "Wow it's so amazing how we as people even if someone do good for you because we're so wicked and evil the evil in us just overpower at times and the and the resident doesn't have that conscience to know I guess that hey you know I'm in a mess right now and someone is caring for me let me be kind or gentle." He he literally sweared and you know and then I said to myself in my heart I was like Lord don't let me God please help me to not be angry and upset because you know the many of the residents they have um chronic illness where you know it's not cured right so you know after we were done he stated he said I am so sorry for what I said guys I I don't know if the goat in me came out i didn't say a word i'm not going to lie i hold my tongue i didn't say anything to him and I I I still was a bit baffled about it like like sir what's wrong with you like you're being cared for why would you say bad things to someone that is caring for you and the next day you when the spirit talks to you honestly you you should listen right i went to his room and I said "Good afternoon this is so and so how are you?" He can't speak now right he can't speak and I said "I want you to know that I heard what you said yesterday i want you to know that I I am not upset i forgive you of what you said i because Jesus lives in me I can come to you to say that it's okay it's well like I'm not hating on you i love you as a father to me because like this man is 89 right and um he looked in my eyes and you can see the tears like full of tears and within myself I felt closure or at peace because it's like despite that some of them can have like different illnesses and what have you they react in a certain way but they call it behavior quote unquote but I I I stand to be correct corrected by that many things that we do regardless if we're not ill or regardless if we're ill we still do it because that's our nature right i have this lady that has Parkinson's and mentally in her mind very educated smart like she can reason but her body is decaying like she she can't lift up her feet even though she's telling her head head you know I want to lift up my feet but she can't do it you know so my brothers and sisters in Christ let us just I know sometimes the goat honestly comes out in us and I do have Jesus living within me but at times you can be so overwhelmed and before you speak you bite your tongue so you don't say anything bizarre to somebody Right so I I'm just giving God thanks that hey I was not upset with this resident regardless that he swore us and he carried on but I was glad to know that because Jesus lives within me I can't be the same because you know the go stand up like did that guy really said that you know what I mean but I thank God that I did not say anything back to him to like hurt his feelings or anything so my brothers and sisters in Christ remember every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before every day with Jesus I learn moreuses and keeps me and he's the one we're waiting for is the day before happy Sabbath everyone amen same to you Sister Unique and the children and everybody in Canada if you see Puchi say hello we missed him this morning sister Vanetta Brian we see you're here with us glad you got in on the end and we pray Jesus Christ is being good to you amen and we'll be on at 6:37 okay uh today the 1 hour before sunset sun sets at 7:37 something like that and we invite all of you to come we'd be there and cover some items then Tuesday again huh i just wanted to say that Verno just came back from Cuba oh is that so yes [Laughter] very good okay you have relatives there no I went on a mission trip university students mission trip to evangelize okay 214 soul baptized wonderful great great you have to let you have to let Rubio know about that you know Rubio Rubio is traveling all around trying to get the Caribbean countries to walk out the deal with Cuba okay marco Rubio yes oh yeah okay but he did well with Jamaica wow i think he calmed things down a little bit but times in which we live so that's why I jumped out at that okay but here again it's that trust and confidence we have in Christ and uh each of us a basic principle for us on this platform is that the threein-one God is sovereign if you begin there I was thinking when I heard all about Dave what sister Yanique is saying and everything uh there are certain basic uh truths that if the Holy Spirit has impressed us with it it it really guides our life and the one that should I think all of us should have is that the threeinone God is sovereign and when I say sovereign is sovereign there's nothing he can do there's nothing he would not do to to twist it and turn it around he cannot lie or he can't that's questioning the sovereignty of the three in one God the devil brings a question like that and and so forth he is sovereign the word lying cannot even be used with him because he's the only truth you know you can't have light and darkness are you following me what I'm saying here that once you settle on the sovereignty of the three in one God three in one God he's sovereign that settles everything everything by faith you can't have light and darkness you can't have truth and error so so so it's just and of course coming back on our side that we're humans we are goats from the beginning we are lost from the beginning a human being has not begun on neutral territory we we have not we we we haven't started oh wow but we rejoice in Christ Jesus all right so that's it today may the Lord bless each of you may his spirit remain in us assuring us of all these things and of the certainty of life eternal now right now and in the future and that we live with him forever have a wonderful Sabbath in Christ Jesus amen amen
