hey I'm Dean Mitch welcome to my YouTube channel what is prophetic worship you know many people are exposed to prophetic worship but they don't quite understand how it works and others want to grow in it but they don't know how well today I'm going to give you a clear biblical explanation a simple one of what prophetic worship is before we get into it would you consider subscribing to my YouTube music it helps us keep God at the center of our Lives okay so what is prophetic worship here's my great depth and Grandeur explanation When We Make Room for the God we worship to respond to us that's it that's pretty simple okay let's back that up a minute all right it's not having worship where we simply go through a checklist or a song list and go from one to the next without having sea moments without giving God room to respond to us so how does that work exactly well it's pretty simple we're worshiping the Lord he responds to us and then we respond to him you see we believe God speaks today and I know you probably do too that's why you're tuned in to a prophetic Channel um but if you're new to this and you're just investigating I encourage you to get Bishop Hammond's book on hearing God's voice it really will awaken you to the spiritual gifts and the prophetic movement so we'll put a link in the show notes to that uh for you so God does speak to us today and according to Acts chapter 2 you know it was promised you know that God would pour out his Spirit on All Flesh and your sons and daughters could prophesy and acts 14:31 tells us that we can all prophesy you we have the gifts in the spirit are given and so we can sing by the spirit see God trust us with his voice Zephaniah 3:17 so when we worship the Lord God responds and we want to respond to God when we worship God we have a spirit of expectation we have an offering we come together as a congregation And We Worship the Lord and Zephaniah 3:17 tells us that God in our midst will manifest himself in many different ways either a mighty warrior a savior of a father rejoicing a singing father and so there are different ways and we have to when we worship God okay we're going to offer up songs with a spirit of expectation that God is going to speak to us Psalm 22:3 most of us know this one God inhabits Our Praise or he's enthroned in our praise and that's his Fellowship that's his dwelling place and so here on Earth he wants to interact with us we want to make room for that to happen and we want to have a spirit of expectancy and a promise of transformation so when we worship God we have offering we have expectation and we have transformation so what happens when God responds to us he responds to us to prophetic phc you know word prophetic is expressing the heart and mind of God Bishop Hammond has taught us that for decades now so in worship you're doing it through music uh or you he's doing it through leadership or responding to us but God responds to us through a word of knowledge Word of Wisdom a sensing and we hear something and God shows us something or we hear something or we feel something and then we respond to that accordingly what God shows to us he may show us all right directly uh ourselves as we hear his voice and are led by his Spirit he may show us to the leadership which many times this is the way it happens the leadership uh will get a word of knowledge a Word of Wisdom or to be erected by the spirit or discernment and they will step out and speak something that God is doing you know to discern what's happening in the hearts of people to discern what is needed in a congregational setting the Bible says that Jesus perceived the needs of the people and so through God through the spirit of the Lord we're we are receptive or perceptive to what's going on around us and God will reveal us whether it's bondage whether it's sickness you whether it's fear or or whether it's a declaration of God God will respond to us through the Revelation gifts or through the voice of Prophecy spirit and another way that he can respond to us is through the congregation someone in the congregation will receive a revelation gift or a Word of Wisdom word of knowledge they'll bring it up through the the leadership and the leadership will then rightly fit that into to what's going on but what happens is we God responds to us in those various ways okay and then we respond to God so now we worship God he responds to us what do we do next we respond to the leading of the Lord okay we can do that with a song we can catch one of the phrases that's been delivered one of the Declarations that have been spoken um and then we release the song of that and we respond to that in faith and in obedience so we're obedience to that that happens Psalm 45:1 says my heart is overflowing with a theme I will recite my composition concerning the king and my tongue is the pen of a ready writer that's a pretty picturesque uh scripture that our tongue would release the song of the Lord that we are ready to release what God is writing in the midst of worship so we have an opportunity to respond to God in obedience to what he has said and what he's done so prophetic worship is again just simply making room for God to respond to us why is this important because every service should experience breakthrough and breakthrough comes by hearing the voice of the Lord life there's voice in the life of the Lord the voice of the Lord brings life so that comes through leadership we can't just worship a living God and not make room to hear from him we can't just simply go through our song list and and continue on the way things are when God is releasing healing and breakthrough and transformation and and uh overcoming through his word through his voice through his song declaration ation this is what God has promised us when he said I pour out my spirit on All Flesh and your sons and daughters will prophesy this is what he promised us when we can have exper expectation of transformation and so simply put that's what prophetic worship is making room for the God we worship to respond to us and we have several resources can to help you grow in
