hi I'm Rob Punkins the vlog Despero XP and today we're gonna be doing is making something recycle materials that could save you anywhere up to 90 pounds [Music] 9 pounds yeah and a bold claim I'm commuting plastic from some balls like this to make a light pressure switch to activate some of the Pens switch adapted toys now these bottles are what we give her a milking in a chew and usually what we do you just rinse them out and recycle but the plastics quite soft quite pliable so I figured what I could do is I could actually use them to make something we've also got to make this just some stuff that was kicking about so we're gonna be using some foil wire strippers that's the most technical thing you'll need to use today fairly serious knife some super glue and tape and the other thing I'm gonna be using is this this is a cable that came with on your monitor and it's one that we just don't need it's got three and a half millimeter plugs on both ends so I figured what I could do is I could use that to trigger one of these toys first thing I'm going to do is I'm gonna cut off the plug from the end of this wire because we only want one plug by bike don't need that then I'm going to strip this wire so we can use it what glasses some of the hell I'm doing there we go oh look it's in focus right okay so BAM there's three words in it which I didn't see before and so what I'm now doing is I'm testing to see which one's of these wires might actually need to make a switch work [Music] those two don't do anything nice to do okay let's have the one with the on this table anyway I said the ones with the white and the red because to make a circuit so yeah let's use them and also easy to identify next thing that I'm going to do is I am going to start cutting out some piece of my bottle yeah about six not seven centimeters okay so here's the idea to these piece of plastic are gonna have some foil with one of the wires attached to each other then I'm going to have something in the middle that's gonna hold them apart then the idea is we press down and you get to switch I'm going to cut the middle out of this so that you've got a little frame to hold both the other pieces part but leaves the center free for the two pieces as well to touch we have got the frame thing I think I'm ready to start sticking things together I've got a tape it's not strongest one well it's just the nutrition state but I'm using it because it's what I had available to hand this more okay so that's a couple pieces of foil or the right size well these slightly smaller and so the outside switch if you were to be their technical about this you could probably measure it and Mark it all out me very very clever I on the other hands just eyeballing it so I've got my two pieces of foil but are slightly smaller piece of plastic and see that okay now what I'm going to do is I'm going to tape my wires two pieces of foil with the tape on the outsides because if you have to tape on the inside it's an insulator and that really won't help matters work I really hope this works after all this absolutely no idea if it's going to okay so I've got my wires taped to the outside so those pieces of foil and just demonstrate principle what I'm gonna do now it bring back the fish back and okay with me right good first thing to glue is going to be a piece of foil to a piece of the plastic like so with the tape side out it's not gonna look terribly erotic but I mean if you could really care about the aesthetics you can always paint in something [Music] yeah that works right more coffee time oh yeah I'm going to take my frame bit and I am going to stick that down onto one piece of plastic in the middle I says this is a bit it's gonna have to be quite carefully done the rest of it could be at least lap - I guess this pin used to be quite careful so that we can make sure the whole thing hopefully it's going to work I still don't know if this is going to happen and the next thing will be to put some glue on top there put the front on the top of the frame and hopefully stick that one down as well right okay so now the moment of truth is it gonna work [Music] doesn't fly straight away all right I am actually genuinely Slocombe surprised that that's a very light pressure to trigger that holy crap that much pretty well yeah uh yeah you could be surprised and quite happy that that's the case it's quite folks use all superglue and um it works thank you very much for watching this vlog as usual if you haven't subscribed and let's be honest why not then please hit the subscribe button you can also hit the notification bell if you want to know when your next videos are coming out and you can check out some of our more recent videos the link is on the screen thank you goodbye
