Hey, my name is Inwe Kate Williams and I'm the Chapter President of Zeta Tau Alpha. My name is Claire Robert and I am the Assistant Vice President of Recruitment. My name is McKenna Shira. I'm the Vice President of Membership and Recruitment and we're so excited to make up your 2024 Zeta Tau Alpha Recruitment Team. We are so excited for you to begin this process and that you have decided to take the leap of faith and go through recruitment this year.
We want you to know that you're making an incredible decision. Beginning this journey is not easy, but get ready because you've already experienced the best years in real life and it all starts now. We can't wait to give you a glimpse into what it's like to be a Zeta Tau Alpha here at the University of Georgia. And what we want more than anything is for you to find a place that feels like home, like we all found here at Zeta. I need you to give me a sign.
Sweet Ellie is what I need tonight. Behind this chapter is a group of women who strive to leave a legacy bigger than just themselves. We support people from all walks of life and uplift everyone who comes through our front door. We choose to embrace our differences while celebrating our individuality. We respect and support each member's personal identity and we seek to provide an accepting environment within our walls, our campus, and our community.
Here at SADO, we use each other to feel our passions and work to make a difference in our community, encouraging one another to step outside of our comfort zone. Santa's served in countless organizations such as UGA Miracles, Student Government, Extra Special People, and UGA Heroes. Our members serve as ambassadors for their college and tour guides at the Visitor Center.
These are just a few of the 138 organizations that our members are involved in on campus. We are so much more than the organizations we are involved in. We are stewards of change.
We are servants for the greater good of those around us. We are leaders who strive to leave the world a better place than we found it. Hi, my name is Kate Good and I'm Vice President of Philanthropy here at Zeta.
Our philanthropy is breast cancer education and awareness. We host several events throughout the year to raise money to support this cause that is so close to our hearts. For the past 33 years we have hosted a softball tournament called Diamond Challenge. Diamond Challenge is an event that encourages our community of athletes, friends, families, and other organizations to come together to lift up women who struggle with breast cancer.
Coaching our dads, brothers, cousins, and friends is an experience that creates unforgettable memories. This event gives everyone a chance to see the heart of Zeta Tau Alpha and what our purpose is, while at the same time having a whole lot of fun. In addition to Diamond Challenge, we have other ways that we support our philanthropy. In the past two years, we have put together new philanthropy events to raise money for breast cancer education and awareness.
Pink Picnic Lemonade on the lawn and the new Think Pink 5K. All proceeds from these events are donated to many foundations we are partnered with, including the American Cancer Society, the National Football League, and the Bright Pink organization. Our Gamma Pi chapter has been recognized as one of Zeta's top five fundraising chapters in the country, donating nearly two million dollars to the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation. For over 50 years, Zeta Tau Alpha has been proud to call 897 South Milledge Avenue our home.
Here at Zeta, home is so much more than the walls surrounding us. Home is not just a place, it's a people. It's a people who wish you to be the best version of yourself. It's a people who will stand by you. by your side no matter what life goes your way and it's the people who will be there to help you write your very own story.
My name is Layden Hildebrandt and I'm a current sophomore. I have the pleasure of living with Claire in the house. Living in the house has been one of our biggest blessings.
We met early freshman year and decided almost immediately that we wanted to live in the house together. We've made so many memories here that we'll cherish forever and grant our love and appreciation for each other. Living in the house is the best choice I ever made.
It allowed me to grow in my relationship with Claire and with others here in the house. From waking up and drinking our morning coffee to getting ready for game days and date nights, there's never a dull moment living with all of your best friends. By joining Zeta, you become part of something so much more than just yourself. It is a chance to represent a whole generation of women who have come before you and many of those who have come after you. Having women by your side to inspire you, push you to explore your wildest passions, and help you achieve what once seemed impossible is what a story's beginning is all about.
Come see our philanthropy, come see our house, and come be a Zeta.
