Reflection Exercise: Evaluate different areas of your life and rate satisfaction.
Steps:
Draw a circle (wheel) and split it into three segments: Work, Health, and Relationships.
Split each segment into three further segments:
Health: Body (Physical health), Mind (Mental health), Soul (Spiritual health)
Relationships: Romance, Family, Friends
Work: Mission (Career/Job), Money, Growth
Rate each of the nine areas on a scale from 0-10 based on alignment (current actions vs. desired state).
Optionally, shade segments based on ratings (visual representation).
Add a separate category: Joy - Rate alignment in terms of joy.
Identify and prioritize the areas needing improvement by circling them.
Objective: Create a clear sense of current status and desired goals.
Method 2: 12-Month Celebration
Goal Setting Framework: Identify goals for the next 12 months.
Exercise:
For each life area, ask: "What would I like to be celebrating 12 months from now?"
Imagine discussing progress with a friend over dinner.
Identify and narrow down goals for each area to one main goal.
Add the phrase "while enjoying every step along the way" to the goal.
Additional Tips:
Write Goals Down: Use a Google Doc or similar tool for ongoing review.
Reflect and Review: Regularly revisit and adjust goals as necessary.
Clarify 'Why': Document the reason behind each goal for motivation.
Method 3: The Ideal Week
Time Management Strategy: Allocate time effectively towards your goals.
Exercise:
Create a blank Google Calendar named "Ideal Week."
Block off essential daily activities (e.g., sleep, meals, etc.).
Schedule time for activities supporting each of your 12-month celebration goals.
Adjust and refine as needed based on actual available time.
Objective: Ensure your weekly schedule reflects your priorities and goals.
