  • Jesus warned about false prophets in the last days.
  • Focus on false prophets and teachers.

Types of False Prophets

  1. Spirit of Divination

    • Operate like psychics (e.g., mediums, fortunetellers).
    • No focus on repentance, forgiveness, heaven, or hell.
    • Focus only on material benefits, not leading people to Christ.
    • Can predict accurately, but from a wrong source.
  2. Gifted but Lost Connection

    • Received a calling or gift from God.
    • Lost connection with the Holy Spirit due to sin.
    • Example: Balaam (spoke true things but was driven by greed).

Signs of a False Prophet

  1. By Their Fruits

    • Life, character, teaching, and influence.
    • Whether people are drawn to Christ or the prophet themselves.
    • Alignment with Scripture and personal lifestyle.
  2. Appearance as Sheep

    • Appear like sheep but are inwardly wolves.
    • Driven by greed and control.
  3. Power and Miracles

    • Perform signs and wonders.
    • Miracles often replace one problem with another.
  4. Antichrist Nature

    • Against the work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
    • Focus on Jesus as a historic figure, not the Savior.
  5. Resistance to Correction

    • Do not listen to others.
    • Lack accountability and guidance.
  6. Motivated by Pride, Not Love

    • Seek attention and recognition.
    • Ministry as a cure for insecurity.
  7. Use Fear to Control

    • Manipulation and control through fear.
  8. Profit Over Purity

    • Driven by greed and material gain.
    • Lack discernment leads to deception.
  9. Dislike for the Church

    • Detached from the church community.
    • Operate outside accountability structures.
  10. Inaccuracy and Blame

    • Prophecies often fail, and blame is shifted to others.
