Hello everyone, welcome to English Academy. In today's video, we will discuss Chapter 6 of Communicative English Class 10th. Virtually True, written by Paul Stewart.
Now, first of all, let us discuss the title. Virtually True, what is virtual? Virtual means something which does not exist in reality.
Either it can be mirror images or software developed on the internet, which is called virtual. The entire internet world is a virtual world because it doesn't exist in reality. Now, here he says virtually true.
Means, something that was virtual, not real, but for two kids, it becomes reality, becomes true. When one kid's brain gets trapped in a game in a virtual world. So here we will see how with the help of other children, he can release his memory from the virtual world and come back to reality. So let's read this interesting story and understand. Sebastian Schultz It isn't a name you come across every day, but there it was large and clear at the top of the newspaper article in front of me.
The reader of the newspaper was a big woman. I couldn't see her face but I could hear her wheezy breath. Miracle recovery, the headline said.
Sebastian Schultz, a 14-year-old schoolboy from South London, awoke yesterday from a coma that doctors feared might last forever. Now, wheezy breath means you can hear a wheezing sound. And coma is a prolonged state of deep unconsciousness. Means you are unconscious for a long time.
Now, here is an article of a newspaper whose headline was Miracle Recovery. This is about a boy named Sebastian Schultz. He is 14 years old and our narrator says that in front of him was a fat woman who was breathing and breathing. She was breathing and her breathing was coming out. And the headline behind the newspaper was that a 14-year-old...
boy from South London and he was in a coma for a long time and now he has come out of the coma. So this happened presently. After this, we will read his background that this news is that he has recovered. How did he recover? How did this miracle happen?
It couldn't be the Sebastian Schultz I'd met. I leant forward to read the rest of the article. Six weeks ago, Sebastian Schultz was badly injured in a motorway accident. His condition on arrival at the General Hospital was described as critical though stable.
Despite doctor's hopes, the boy did not regain consciousness. His parents were informed that their son was in a coma. At a press conference, Mrs. Schultz said, The doctors were doing all they could but in our hearts we knew we needed a miracle. Critical means bahut zyada serious hona and miracle means ek chamatkar.
So now our narrator says that this cannot be the Sebastian whom I met. And then he gets curious and he leans forward and reads the whole report. So what is written in it?
That there is a boy, Sebastian. Six weeks ago, he had an accident and he was very injured and he was admitted to the hospital. And his condition was critical, stable, but was not improving. And he was not coming to his senses. And his parents thought that now it was a miracle that could bring him back to his senses.
Now that miracle has happened. At that moment the woman's hand moved, I suddenly saw the photograph that went with the story and gasped. The boy in the picture was Sebastian, there was no doubt. But how?
I muttered. Sebastian Schultz, the boy I'd got to know so very recently, had apparently been in a coma for all that time. I felt nervous and shivery. It didn't make any sense at all.
I stared out of the train window and ran through the events in my head. It all started a month ago. Dad and I had spent the entire Saturday afternoon at the computer fair. Stared means dhyan se dekhna, ghurna. Toh phir humare jo narrator hai, wo kaita hai ki ab wo chamatkar ho gaya hai kyunki finally Sebastian ko hosh aa gaya hai.
Aur jaisay ho aur joh newspaper padh rahi ki uska haath hila. Our narrator saw the photo with the newspaper report and he was the same boy whom he knew. He was surprised that the boy was in coma for so long because he had played video games with him. He said that he was very scared because he couldn't understand anything. Then he saw the train he was travelling in and he started thinking about the past.
So, where does the past begin? Our narrator went to a computer fair with his father. Dad's nutty about computers.
He's got a Pentium 150 mAh processor with 256 of RAM, a 1.2 GB hard disk drive and 16 speed CD-ROM, complete with speakers, printer, modem and scanner. It can do anything. Paint, play music, create displays.
Even when my homework's rubbish, it looks fantastic. Nutty means you are crazy about something and 150 MHz means megahertz. This is a unit. 1 million hertz, the unit of frequency equal to one cycle per second. So this is a unit of measuring frequency, megahertz.
CD-ROM means random access memory, compact disk with read only memory. Fantastic means far away from reality, very good and attractive. So what we are getting to know is that when he went to the computer fair, his father who is very crazy about computers, what all things did he buy? He bought a 150 MHz Pentium processor, 256 RAM, 1.2 GB hard disk drive and 16 speed CD ROM. So he bought a new PC and along with that he bought a set of speakers, printer, modem and scanner.
So, he says that anything can be done with it. You can paint, play music, create displays. And he says, when my homework is also rubbish, means when I don't like doing my homework, then I like doing different hobbies on this PC. Best of all are the games. Tornado of Meebash, Black Belt, Kyrene's Castle, I played them all.
With the screen so big and the volume up, cloud it almost feels as if you're inside the games battling it out with the zed or b's twisters or whatever technology was advancing every day and dad couldn't resist any of the new gadgets or gizmos that came on the market that was why we went to the computer fair gizmos are gadgets devices especially mechanical or electrical devices so now our narrator says that the most fun is computer games. Then he tells us the names of some of the games which are there on the PC and he says, I have played all those games. Because our computer screen is so big and I can increase the volume a lot, so it feels like I am inside the game myself.
Means I disconnect with the real world. Then what do they say? When I play the game, I battle, means I compete with other opponents, then it is a lot of fun.
And then he says that every day technology is advancing, that's why my dad bought the latest technology gadgets when we went to the computer fair. We came away with a virtual reality visor and glove and a handful of the latest interactive psycho-driven games. They are terrific. Not only do the visor and glove change what you see, but better than that, you can control the action by what you are thinking. Well, cool.
When we got them, I remember some of them were not new. Anyway, back at home, I launched myself off into the first of the games. It was called Wild West.
Virtual reality, as I told you, computer generated realistic images and sounds which enabled the user to interact with the space. Virtual reality means such a reality which is actually not true. But they take you into the virtual world with the help of this visor, which is a helmet and the gloves.
And then you feel that you are really present in that virtual world, so it becomes a reality for you. Visor is a helmet. Interactive means influencing each other means you can interact with it.
Psycho driven means it runs through your mind and Terrific means very good. So here the narrator is saying that we bought a virtual reality helmet and gloves from a computer fair. and bought some games that work with your brain.
Means when you wear the helmet and gloves, you enter the virtual world and act as you think and the game goes on accordingly. So he says that it is very fun to play such games. So this visor and glove change everything. You see a different world.
You forget where you are in the real world. You go to the virtual world. Nowadays, you must have played these virtual reality games. These games are present in different gaming zones.
So you can play them and experience them. Then he says, when we bought these games, I remember some of them were not new. Now this is very important because this is the link. This will tell us that when some games were not new, that is, those games were already used by someone. Who used them?
Sebastian Schultz. And then his memory got stuck in one game when his car accident happened. Then he says, when we came back, I started playing the first game. The first game he played was Wild West.
That's what I like about computers. The more futuristic they get, the better you can understand the past. I wasn't standing in the converted loft, the power base that dad calls it anymore.
I was really there, striding down the dusty track through the centre of town. There was a sheriff's badge pinned to my shirt. Futuristic means having or involving very modern technology or design.
Means jo cheez aapke aane wale kal par based hai. And converted means jiska form change kar diya gaya ho. Loft is the upper story or attic. And sheriff is an official, generally a police officer.
Now here he says that I like the thing in computers that as their technology keeps on upgrading, they keep on becoming futuristic. Means, present-sequent advanced technology is used in it. So he says that as soon as I started playing this virtual reality game, I was not in that loft now.
Loft means the upper part of his house, upper floor. I was not there now. My dad calls it power base.
As soon as he wore the visor and helmet and started playing Wild West, he reached a different world. That's why he says that now I was not at this place. Where was I?
I was in that cowboys area where there was a lot of dirt and I was riding a horse. I was roaming around the city. And my shirt had a sheriff's badge on it.
Means I was a police officer in this game. As I burst in through the swing doors of the salon, everyone went silent and glared at me. I strode over the bar.
Sarsa Parila, I said, and a glass of fizzy red stuff came sliding along the bar towards me. Salon is a public room. Here, salon means the room, the pub where he went. And Sarsa Parila is a carbonated drink flavored with Sarsa Parila root.
Fizzy means sparkling. Now in the game, he is a sheriff and then he goes into a pub and there he orders for Salsa Parila. This is a carbonated drink in which Salsa Parila root is added.
And he says, as I ordered, it was a fizzy red drink which he gave me. As I took a sip, I heard a loud crash. I spun round. There saluted in the doorway was Black Eyed Jed, the fastest gun in the West.
This town ain't big enough for the both of us, Shedick Dawson. He drawled and fingered his gun slightly. Outside, just you and me. I can remember grinning. This was really cool.
I finished my drink and slammed the glass down on the bar. Now here, spun means turn. Ghoom jaana. Silhooted means cast or show something or something as a dark shape and outline against a brighter background.
Ab yahaan pe aap dekh rahe hain ye jo image hai na, iske jo edges hai. If you see only edges, then it is Silhout. Drawed means speak in a slow lazy way with prolonged vowel sounds. Like saying drawled. Okay, say it in a prolonged way.
Grinning means to smile broadly. Slammed means to keep or put with force. Bar means counter or table. Because if we stay together, we will keep meeting each other and we will keep fighting.
And then he calls our narrator Sheriff Dawson. And he said this by pulling the words of the voice and he turned his gun slightly. So he pointed to the sheriff that I have a gun and I want to fight you.
So he says that come out, only you and me. So they are aiming at a fight. And then our. The narrator laughs and thinks that this is very cool. Means this game is very interesting.
And he finished his sasa parila drink and put the glass on the bar. Chad had already left the salon. All eyes were on me again.
I wondered what sort of score I was notching up. All at once, something strange happened. Up to that point, the game had been pretty much as I expected. But when the second sheriff appeared through the back door, shouting and waving his arms about, I realized that the game was more complicated. Don't go out, the second sheriff shouted.
And who are you? I asked. He wasn't like the other characters in the saloon. For a start, He was about my age and though he looked like a computer image, he somehow didn't move like one.
Notching means achieving. Means you are slowly increasing. You are climbing the ladder so you are achieving different levels.
Complicated means tough. Characters are the persons in the game. Now, black eyed jet goes out of the game and all the people who are sitting in the pub start watching our narrator.
And then he thinks, I wondered what sort of score I was notching up. Means, I don't know how I am performing in the game, what is my score. Then he says, something strange happened all of a sudden. Till then, the game was going normal.
But then another sheriff came, another policeman came from the back door. And he was shouting loudly and shaking his hands in the air. And our narrator realizes that the game is quite complicated. The second sheriff tells the narrator not to go outside. The narrator asks who you are.
The narrator thinks that the second sheriff is different from the other characters in the saloon. He says that he looks the same as me. He thought it was a computer image but still his movement was a little different.
So now who is this? Who is the second sheriff? There's no time to explain, he shouted.
Just follow me. I did what I was told. We raced down a corridor and through a door. We ran past some men and out through another door. Come on, shouted the other sheriff.
We went on through another door and another and ended up back in the saloon. No, screamed the second sheriff. Then he ran to the back of the saloon and dived through the window. By the time I climbed out after him, he was already sitting on a horse.
Jump up, he cried. He kicked the horse and we sped off in a cloud of dust. Dive means jump. So this second sheriff tells our narrator that there is no time to explain, come after me.
And our narrator goes after him. So he says that we went from one corridor to another corridor, then we left the door, then we went ahead. But we reached the same saloon again.
And then he shouted and said, oh no. Then he went back to the back side of the saloon running and jumped out of the window. And after jumping out, He landed on a horse and then he told the narrator to come quickly.
And he put the narrator on a horse and ran away. So what are they doing? They are running from there. Who are you?
I asked again. But the second sheriff didn't answer. He'd seen the posse of men on horseback speeding after us. Keep your head down, he said. At that moment, the sound of a gunshot echoed round the air.
The second sheriff groaned and slumped back against me. Ahead of me in bright neon lights came a message, game over. Pause means a group and gunshot echoed means a loud gunshot.
And echo means that the sound repeats over and over. Groan means moan, means he was crying in pain. And slump means falling down loudly.
Our narrator again asked the second sheriff who you are but he didn't answer because he was... He was trying to escape. Many people were coming behind him to attack him. Then he heard a gunshot from the front. And someone fired a bullet.
And the second sheriff who was sitting in front of him, he was shot. So he fell back like this. And then a message came on the screen in front of our narrator.
Game over. Means their game is over. Because the second sheriff was shot.
As I slipped off the visor, the empty desert disappeared and I found myself back in the power base. I took off the glove and headphones. I glanced at the score on the screen.
21,095. Then I noticed the printer had come on. I picked up the piece of paper from the tray.
At the top was a picture of the second sheriff. This time though, he was wearing jeans and a sweatshirt. Printed over the bottom was a message.
I am stuck. Please head to retrieve me. Try Dragon Quest. Sebastian Schultz I wanted to go straight into the game he suggested but it was already half an hour after lights out. Now visor, goi, helmet and sweatshirt is a loose warm sweater.
Lights out means light band karne ka time ho gaya tha. Like the message of Game Over came, our narrator took off his helmet and he saw that the desert area has disappeared and he has reached the loft of his house again. So he took off his gloves, headphones and saw that his score in the game was 21,095. Then he saw that the printer is on and a printout comes out of the printer.
On the printout, the same second sheriff character was shown. He is wearing a T-shirt and jeans. And along with that, a message comes on the paper.
He says, I am stuck. I am trapped. Help me get me out of here.
And try to save me by playing the Dragon Quest game. Sebastian Schultz. So this is the same Sebastian Schultz whose news has come in that paper. His memory is stuck in these games. And he came in the game as the second sheriff.
He was a sheriff. He is trapped in the game and is asking for help from our narrator to get out of it. Now the narrator says that I wanted to play Dragon Quest all of a sudden but it was lights out time and half an hour was late so I could not play the game. Next morning, I was up and back on the computer and was soon walking through the massive studded doors of the Dragon's Castle Lair. The aim of the game was simple, I had to rescue the f*****g dragon.
fair princess Aurora from the wicked dragon and collect the wicked creatures treasure along the way I'd already got loads by the time I reached the princess would be an imprisoned at the top of a tall tower she was a young woman with long golden plates there is a place where wild animals live wicked means evil and plates is the single length of hair and plate means the length of your hair So next morning I sat on the computer again to play the game and I turned on the Dragon Quest game. And the aim of the game was to go to a dragon castle and get rid of the princess who is trapped there. And you have to collect all the treasures you get on the way.
So I was playing this game. Then what happened? My hero, she squealed, take me away from all this.
Behind me I could hear the dragon roaring. Rescue me now, the princess said urgently. Never mind her, came a voice and the second knight appeared from the wardrobe. It's me who needs rescuing. Sebastian, I said.
The second knight nodded. Quick, he said, while there's still time. And with a pair of scissors, he chopped off the princess' two long plates.
Then he tied them together, fixed one end round the bedpost and threw the other end out of the window. Roaring means... and wardrobe is a large tall cupboard.
So this princess tells the narrator that my hero has arrived, take me out of here and save me. And she hears the dragon roar from behind. So she says, save me right now and take me out. Then she hears a second voice, there is another knight, there is another warrior prince. But...
He says to the narrator, leave him, we have to get out of here and you have to save me from here. The narrator asks, are you Sebastian? He says yes, and says hurry up.
He quickly takes a scissor and cuts the two long hair plates of the princess. He ties one plate with the bed and throws the other edge out of the window. The narrator says, we have to help him. Uski madad se castle se bahar nikal jayenge. Now, he screamed as he leapt for the window and down the hair rope.
At that moment the dragon appeared. I gasped and leapt too. As I lowered myself down, I felt the dragon's fiery breath.
Across the moonlit battlements, we ran down a spiral staircase and through a secret passage on the other side of a tapestry. And the whole time I could hear and feel and even smell the evil dragon following in close pursuit. Left means to jump fast.
Fiery means fire comes out of it. Spiral is a curve. What is a tapestry? It is a soft furnishing cloth used as wall hanging.
And pursuit means to follow someone. So as the second knight said no, he quickly jumped towards the window and he started going down with the help of that rope. Then a dragon came there.
Our narrator took a deep breath and jumped on the rope. He says, as I was coming down the rope, I could feel the dragon's warm breath because it was following us. He says, I could see the moon's moonlight because it was dark there. With the help of the moon, We went down the spiral staircase and went to the secret passage.
We were trying to get out of the castle while running. He says that I could hear the sound of the dragon and I could feel its smell. Because it was very close to us and it was coming behind us. The Dungeons Sir Sebastian cried out, There are only hope. We went down the cold stone steps, swords drawn.
Suddenly the dragon appeared at the end of the corridor. Before we even had time to turn around, the dragon was upon us. I swung my sword, but it was no good.
The dragon was only interested in Sebastian and there was nothing I could do to prevent it getting him. Game over. Dungeon is a strong underground prison cell, especially in a castle.
Dragon is a mythical monster, like a big reptile, kind of a snake or a dinosaur. Sword is a weapon with a long metal blade. Now Sebastian said that let's go to the underground prison, from there we can escape from the dragon.
And he says that as we were going down the stairs made of cold stone, we had swords in our hands so that we could kill the dragon. Suddenly, he was standing on the other side of the Dragon Corridor. We didn't even have time to turn around.
The dragon reached us and stopped us there. I used my sword to kill him but it didn't help. Because the dragon just wanted to catch Sebastian.
I couldn't save Sebastian and the game over with him. This time the message in the printer said, Better luck next time. Please don't give up Michael.
Otherwise, I'll have to stay in here forever. Try jailbreak. I think it might just work.
Cheers, Seb. Now, here we come to know that our narrator's name is Michael. I didn't even bother to read the rules of jailbreak before going in. I knew that my task was to rescue the boy.
And sure enough, my cellmate was prisoner 02478 Sharks. I've got to get out of here, Sebastian sighed. Are you going to help? Of course, I said. Have you got a plan?
Now rescue means to save someone. Now when his second game was over, he couldn't rescue Sebastian in Dragon Quest. So the printer sent a message to try in the next game.
Try to play the jailbreak game. And you don't lose hope like this. Otherwise my memory will be stuck in these games forever. And then our narrator didn't wait at all.
He quickly... jailbreak game khelne lag gaya. Aur usse ab toh pata tha ke usse jail mein jo uska saathi hai wo Sebastian hai aur usko wahan se rescue karna hai. Aur wo tha prisoner 2478 Schultz.
To Sebastian usse kaita hai ke mujhe yahan se bahar nikerla hai. Kya tu meri madat karoge? Wo kaita hai haan.
Lekin kya tumhare pas koi plan hai? Stupid question. With the help of a skeleton swipe card we were soon out of the cell and racing down corridors.
Sirens wailed, guard dogs howled, heavy boots came tramping behind us, steel bar doors slammed shut. We dodged the guards, we fled the dogs, we made it to a staircase and pounded upwards. Now, skeleton swipe card means a plastic card on which data has been stored magnetically and that can be read by an electronic reading device.
Something like a credit card and other cards which we have, they are all swipe cards. And howled means to cry. Tramping means walk heavily. Steal barred means locked.
Dodged means to avoid something. And pounded means to hit someone hard. So my narrator says that when I asked him, do you have a plan? It was a very stupid question. Because the next moment he had a skeleton swipe card.
Means a fake swipe card. Which he swiped so the cell door, prison cell door opened. And we were running in the corridor to get out.
Then the police sirens started ringing and the guard dogs started barking. And we were hearing the sound of shoes. Means police officers were coming behind us to catch us.
Then the steel doors were closed. We cheated the guards. We saved our lives from the dogs.
And we reached the stairs and we were climbing the stairs. On the roof, Sebastian looked round and glanced at his watch nervously. It should be here by now. What?
I said. That, said Sebastian and pointed. A helicopter! I exclaimed.
That was my idea, said Sebastian excitedly, if only it would go a bit faster. At that moment, the door behind us burst open. Twelve guards with vicious dogs were standing there.
The next instant, the dogs were hurtling towards us, all bare teeth and dripping jowls. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Sebastian take a step backwards. Now, dripping means wet, means their jowls, i.e. their lower jaws, saliva was dripping from them.
As soon as they reached the roof of the prison, Sebastian looked around and said that he should reach here. The narrator asked who? He pointed and said him.
What was he? He was a helicopter that was coming to rescue him. Sebastian said that this is my plan. Then he said that it should move a little faster.
Then he saw that the prison door behind him opened again. There were 12 police officers and they had police dogs who came to catch them. And from those police dogs, saliva was also falling down from their lower jaws.
So what did our narrator see from the corner of his eye? He saw that Sebastian took one step back. Now, as he is on the roof, he was already standing on the edge.
And when he took one step back, No, I screamed. But it was too late. The boy had slipped and was tumbling back through the air down to the concrete pillow. Game over.
Narrator ne no bhi kaha, lekin wo late ho gaya tha. Tabhi jab usne ek step piche liya, to wo chhat se khisal gaya. Aur neechay jaata hua dharti par gir gaya.
Aur unki game ek baar phir se over ho gai. Aur wo Sebastian ko rescue nahi kar paya. As I removed my visor, I looked in the printer tray.
This time it was empty. I felt really bad. I failed Sebastian. I failed the game.
It was only later when the scenes began to fade in my memory that it occurred to me that Sebastian Schultz was the game. Strangely, although I went back to Wild West, Dragon Quest and Jailbreak after that, I never met up with Sebastian again. Now, As the game was over, our narrator took off his helmet and once again he saw in the printer that maybe there was a message again, but this time there was no message. He felt very bad that he did not help him, he could not get him out of there. He played all three games, but still he did not get Sebastian in those games again.
Then yesterday I heard from Sebastian. In the printer tray was a sheet of paper. Can we have one last try? It said, I think the helicopter was the right idea. There's got to be some kind of an accident.
Go into war zone. If this doesn't work, I won't bother you again. Cheers, Seb.
So, it says, the same day, I got a message from Sebastian in the printer. He said, let's try one last time. The idea of the helicopter was good.
But there should be an accident. I think my memory is in an accident. wo iss game se bahar nikal payegi. To tum Warzone game khelne ki koshish karo.
Aur usne ye bhi kaha ki hamari last try hai. Agar iss se meri memory nahi release hui to me zubara se tumhe tang nahi karunga. I couldn't tell which Warzone were we in. It was a city somewhere. The tall buildings were windowless and riddled with holes.
Machine gun fire raked the sky. Walls tumbled. Bombs exploded.
Riddled means making a large number of small holes in something. So the narrator says that I started playing warzone game. I don't know which warzone game it was. I reached a city where there were tall tall buildings and there were no windows.
And there were big cracks in the walls which were caused by gunfire. And machine guns were firing all around. The walls were breaking and falling down and the bombs were exploding. All I knew was that Sebastian and I had to make a tourist helicopter in one piece. We ran across a no man's land of rubble and smoke, dodging sniper fire.
At the far end, we went through a door in a wall. The helicopter was on the ground, waiting for our arrival. We started to run but the tank fire sent us scuttling back to the wall. A jeep, Sebastian shouted to me and nodded at a vehicle parked by the road.
Dodging means kisi kuchis ko avoid karna. Sniper fire means gunshot fired by somebody in a concealed position. Means koi chhukta. Chupkar bandook chala raha hai. Scuttling means tezi se dordna.
To humayon narrator kehta hai ki Mujhe sirf yeh pata tha ki Sebastian Ke saath mujhe helicopter me Zinda paunchna hai. Then he says that we reached a no man's land where there was a lot of dust, dust, smoke and bullets were firing from different places. We don't know from where and we had to escape from them.
Then we reached a door which was in the wall and there was a helicopter which was waiting for us. Now to reach there we started running but there was a tank standing there which set fire to the wall. Tabbih Sebastian ne chalate hui mujhe kaha ki dekho wahan par ek jeep hai to chalo jeep mein baith kar hum helicopter tak pohont jaate hain. He jumped in, turned the ignition key and revved the engine.
Jump in. I climbed into the passenger seat and we were off. A tank was hurtling after us. Suddenly Sebastian slammed on the brakes and sent the jeep skidding into a spin.
I leapt clear and jumped into the helicopter. The helicopter started to go upwards. I looked around. Sebastian wasn't there. Wait, I shouted at the pilot.
I looked back. The jeep had stopped but Sebastian hadn't got out. Come on, I yelled.
But Sebastian was sitting as if his body had been turned to stone. Revved means, When you press the accelerator hard, the engine revs and you hear a sound. And skidding means, Turning too quickly.
These are so fast, that you skid and slip. So, as soon as he He sits in the jeep, turns it on and revs the engine. And he tells the narrator to come quickly. And he too sat in the jeep and he drove the jeep. And behind them, a tank was coming fast.
And Sebastian suddenly put the brakes on and his jeep, which was slipping, turned round. And our narrator got out of the jeep and sat in the helicopter. And the helicopter also started and it started to fly in the sky.
But our narrator saw that Sebastian had not come, so he stopped the pilot and he called Sebastian looking at the jeep, come quickly. But Sebastian was not moving and it looked like Sebastian's body had become of stone. The tank crashed into the jeep. Sebastian was thrown into the air.
Round and round he tumbled closer to the helicopter. He landed with a thud just below the hatch. I pulled him up. As he sat down beside me, the helicopter soared into the sky. It had done it.
I'd rescued Sebastian at last. Before I had a chance to say anything to him though, the helicopter flew into a thick cloud. It turned everything blinding white. I couldn't see a thing until game over flashed up. Tumbled means falls suddenly.
Heard is a heavy sound. Hatch is the door in the aircraft. Helicopter soared means it flew high in the sky.
The tank collides with the jeep and Sebastian falls in the air. He lands near the helicopter. The helicopter hatch falls near the helicopter.
The narrator pulls him up and puts him in the helicopter. The helicopter starts to fly in the air. Our narrator finally rescues Sebastian. And before he could say anything to her, her helicopter gets lost in the clouds, everything around becomes white because the clouds come and our narrator sees nothing and her game over.
When I removed the visor, the screen was flashing the score of 40 million. I'd hit the jackpot. I'd finally cracked the game.
At least that was what I thought then. Now I knew that Sebastian Charles the boy from the game really did exist. I'd seen the proof in the newspaper. But how?
I wondered as I got off the train. At home, I checked the net. I wanted to learn more about the miracle recovery story.
So, when our narrator took off his helmet, what did he see? His score has become 40 million. And he scored a jackpot. And finally, he passed the game.
After that, he thought that does Sebastian really exist? I have read in the newspaper that there is a Sebastian who has just recovered from a miracle. So I searched on the net what this miracle recovery story is. So there I found out what I was looking for. Apparently at the time of the accident, Sebastian was using his laptop to play one of the same psycho drive games that I have got.
My heart pounded furiously. What if because Sebastian had been plugged into the computer when he banged his head in the accident, the computer had saved his memory in its own? And then what if the weird versions of the games I had been drawn into had all been attempts to retrieve that memory? After all, dad always says about the computer's memory, it can never forget, Michael.
Nothing ever gets lost. Furiously means very fast and retrieve means to bring it back. So he says that finally I got to know what happened with Sebastian.
Sebastian was playing a game on a laptop, a psycho drive game, which I bought from a computer fair. And while playing that game, he was traveling in a car and his car got into an accident. Due to an accident, the computer saved Sebastian's memory in the computer's memory. This is why when our narrator was playing the game, there was a second player in it, who was a little strange. He was Sebastian, who was trapped in that game.
And then he says that when I played those games, his memory was retrieved and he regained consciousness. And then he remembered that his dad always says that the computer's memory saves everything. aur usme se kabhi kuch bhi gumta nahi hai.
But even if it was possible that Sebastian's memory had been stored on disk, how had it ended up on my computer? Scrolling down the article, I found a possible explanation. Answering a reporter's question as if to what the family was going to do next, Mr. Shultz said that they were off to stock up on some gains. It was while we were in hospital, someone stole the lot. I don't know what happened to them.
I said quietly, They ended up at the computer fair and we bought them. So now there is another confusion in the mind of our narrator. That let's assume Sebastian's memory got saved in the computer game. But how did his memory come to the narrator's computer? So when he read the article, he got his answer further.
Mr. Shalciami, Sebastian's dad, told him that when he was in the hospital, someone stole those games from him. And... Humayun narrator ko pata chal gaya ke haan wo games pe computer fair me poanch ke bichne ke liye Aur unho ne wo games kharir li Aur jab unho ne wo games apne computer pe play ki To Sebastian ki jo fuzzy hui memory hai Wo wahan par aagay Aur wo humayun narrator Michael se madad maang rahi thi Wahan se bahar nikalne me I left the net and checked my email There was one from Sebastian With trembling fingers I clicked in and read the message Dear Michael it said Thank you I am not sure how it happened but thanks You saved my life. Let's meet up soon. Cheers Seb.
P.S. Keep the games. You've earned them. So Michael closed the internet and checked his email. There was Sebastian's email. Now he was very nervous while opening it.
On that, his message was, Dear Michael, Thank you. I don't know how this happened but you saved my life. Let's meet soon and you can keep these games.
Kyuki you have earned them. Earned them kese? Tumne meri jaan bachai aur isliye ab tum deserve karte ho ki ye games tum hi rakko.
I shook my head. A real message from the real Sebastian Schultz. We both knew that by reliving the accident, something wonderful had happened. But then again, now that there are two advanced intelligences on earth, who can say what is and what isn't possible?
What I know is this. Everything that I've described is true. So finally our narrator got a real message from the real Sebastian Schultz and this message, this email was in the real world.
So he says that we know that the accident that happened again, it was a good thing that Sebastian came out of that game and his memory was released. And then he says that now there are two advanced intelligences on earth, one is human intelligence and one is computer intelligence. And there is a lot of possibilities in this story. And finally he says that whatever I told in this story is true virtually.
That means this story is also from the virtual world. So this is a virtual story, not a real story. This is fiction.
So with this our story ends. Virtually True is a very interesting sci-fi based futuristic story. And we saw how a child's memory gets trapped in a virtual reality game and how when the other kid plays the game he saves his memory by accident and that kid comes back to his senses after getting out of coma.
