Dynamax Raids in Pokémon Go Overview

Dynamax Pokemon are here. Hello everybody, it is midnight and I am decked out in shiny luck because I don't have a shirt on because I was going to sleep. But what just happened is way more important.

Right now in Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Dynamax raids, Max raids are actively happening. And by the time you're watching this, there will be a new announcement with some new details, and we might see Max raids come out today globally in Pokemon Go. Let's start today by going over what we already know has been released tonight or today when you're watching this, and then we'll go over the newer, more in-depth information.

And we're gonna be looking at Twitter for this, so thank you to everybody on Twitter who provided these screenshots, including this homie with, check it out, one of the most exciting things, dude, a Shiny Max, uh, Dynamax Wooloo. Shiny Wooloo just came out during the event that released yesterday, so this is a brand new Shiny. It's in Max Raids, and you can get it shiny. Shiny. In Max Raids.

Bro, this is so cool. This looks insane shiny. So this does confirm that you can catch shiny Pokemon out of Max Raids. Very, very exciting, and obviously this will extend to all other Pokemon. And right here is a video of one of the first Max Raids ever, so this is kind of a visual of what it's going to look like.

Once you defeat a Max Raid, this looks crazy. Oh, look at the ball, dude. The ball looks wild.

Oh my God, did you see how far this got launched? That was insane. Oh, this looks so cool, man. This is the first time I'm seeing this. This is really, really well done.

This is super exciting. Wow, and then it goes back to a regular ball and it's caught. Wooloo was caught. That is so, so cool.

Oh, look at this. You've caught your first Max Pokemon. Here's a little bird's eye view and what this will be like.

Okay, and then, wow, this is sick. So there's Wooloo. And don't worry, we'll get into what changed because as you can see, we got max moves there. We'll get into that. Here's a gameplay screenshot of what the max raids look like in Pokemon Go.

As you can see, they're like kind of a new POI that's floating around and it looks like they have a full day on them. So these max raids that are spawning will be around for a full, looks like 24 hours. That's crazy and as you see in the background there's like a lot of them so these these might be everywhere like actually everywhere What is that is that a squirtle?

What's on that one or the Pokemon even oh wait? That's a Charmander, right? That's Charmander. I think that's Charmander. Is that Charmander and Squirtle?

Do we have those already? Maybe that's coming out next week actually check this out. This is a look into the Dynamax. Woo.

Look how cool that looks Wow, no way. Look at this is pressing the Dynamax button. It shows the max moves level 1 to level 2 There's different levels max guard reduce damage taken what?

Max Spirit, heal user. Whoa, this is cool. Yeah, check out the max moves.

You've got max strike, max guard, and you can level up these different max moves to, I'm assuming, make them more effective. And this is probably what these max particles are used for, which is what you're seeing there as the currency. What?

Max strike, unleash an extra powerful charged attack. Okay, so that's one of the max moves and you can train it and power it up. What?

Then we've got max guard, reduce damage taken from attacks. Very cool. That's we could level that one up as well and then here we have max spirit heal user and allied pokemon you can heal the pokemon around you and i'm sure these max moves change depending on which pokemon you're using the dynamax on but the fact that it might each pokemon might have access to three different unique moves that are like status and ability moves is so cool and you could spend to level them up to make your pokemon even more overpowered dude this update is going to change everything in pokemon go and check this out you know which pokemon you have that are dynamax pokemon because it has this little dynamax symbol on it and this i think pretty much confirms that not every pokemon can dynamax you could probably only dynamax pokemon you catch from max raid battles so that confirms that and that's nice here's a look into what the power spots are going to look like they've got this little x over there it looks So sick.

Here's a Professor Willow screenshot with some power spots. What? And check it out. These are the max particles. So that's what that currency is.

And here's a bit about what we, I think, know about Dynamax Battles. During max battles, you could use your three max moves. In order to enter and actually battle a max battle, you need max particles. A tier one max battle, which I think is the only ones that are available right now, require 250 max particles in order to enter and to battle.

And you should be able to buy this in the shop. So think of it like a raid pass. essentially. Max battles can only have four people in at a time. So it's you and three others going into a max battle, and you can only use three Pokemon per person.

They might be turn-based as well. And the power spots, as you saw, they were kind of all over the map and they technically weren't on top of other gyms. And that's how it's going to work. Power spots are their own new point of interest. They will not be on top of gyms.

So you're going to have gyms and raids. and you're gonna have power spots for max battles, and they're gonna kind of exist like next to each other. So don't worry, you're not losing gyms and raids by gaining max battles, you're just getting max battles.

Now we've got some very cool images that I want to share and check these out. This is a bird's eye view inside of a Max Battle. As you can see in the top right, it says three remaining, which means you have three moves remaining.

When you go into a Max Battle, you have three Pokemon, and I think you only have three turns to do something against the boss. So this is much more like the main series Pokemon games. Instead of tap, tap, tap, it's actually turn-based.

So this is how Max Stens worked in the main series. So it's cool to see that implemented in Pokemon Go, where historically that has not been. And as you can see, you've only have two Max moves left, okay?

You've got your Max Guard, your Max Geyser, and your Max Spirit. So those do different things. It is the Blastoise this person is using against a Charmander. This looks amazing. Here's a look at Charizard, Venusaur, and Blastoise.

Let's check these out. We saw this with Wooloo, but here is Venusaur with Max Guard. You can power it up.

You need Max Particles, and you need the Pokemon's candy. Max particles are going to be definitely something you want to get. Here we've got Charizard with Max Flare, Max Guard, and Max Spirit. It looks like Max Guard and Max Spirit will be standard on every single Max Pokemon, but the first move will be the one that's exclusive to the Pokemon. I think it's the Pokemon's typing.

Whatever. Charizard's got Max Flare here. This looks fantastic.

And then here's Blastoise with Max Geyser being powered up as well. This is a look into the raid lobby. As you can see here, we've got four people.

One of four people are ready, which means you can ready up. I think you might have to. Oh, no.

No, you don't have to. In the top right, you see the Squirtle floating there, so you know which raid boss you're going after. And then right there, your recommended battle party. You have the three Pokemon that you're bringing in against the Squirtle. From what I understand, you can only use Pokemon that are max, like Dynamax compatible, which means you cannot bring a Sudowoodo into this Squirtle raid, which would be great because it's the best Pokemon ever, because it's not Dynamax compatible right now.

I think it's just only the starters and Wooloo. and Squobit. I could be wrong there, but I'm pretty sure that's one of the things.

And again, you can tell that those are Dynamaxable Pokemon because they have that little Dynamax X. This is what the nearby is going to look like. And as you can see, it's even cleaned up on that top section. You've got Pokemon, raids, power spots, and routes. That looks... great honestly like this filter system looks fantastic and underneath the power spots tab you can see that you have 510 out of a thousand max particles does that mean that you can only have a thousand max particles at a time no 0.1 out of one kilometers i i don't know what those oh wait oh check it out oh this is interesting so it looks like this person walked their one kilometers and they got an extra 100 max particles so i I don't know, maybe these are daily quests.

Maybe every time you walk a kilometer, you can get a hundred max particles. So there's a way to earn it without having to buy it or like specifically go to these points of interest. And maybe every time you earn a thousand max particles, you just get another hundred for free.

I'm not sure we're gonna have to see. Subscribe to the channel to know because the moment that this update is live for me, I'm gonna go out and make a video. We'll have another one up tomorrow.

But as you can see, you can see where the max, the Max the what are these things called the power points power spots power points you can see what the power spots are that hold these max raids and you can see which max raid they are i will say i do think that these are in person only i don't think you can remote raid these so just a heads up there luckily though it's only for four people so like you don't need that many people to play with you like a normal raid but like it i don't think you can remote here's a great look at three raid bosses in the catch screen we've got a max bulbasaur a max charmander and a max squirrel we've already watched the the catch animation go down, we know what it looks like. It looks amazing, but you know, these are just the other guys. Here's what some of the end screen looks like.

Wait, this is interesting. Pick a Pokemon to place at this power spot to earn candy and assist in battles. I, you can, and then it cuts off.

I don't know what this means. So I'm not sure if, if like you can leave one of your max Pokemon. At the power spot, I guess, yeah, you can do that and it earns you candies, which is cool, because when you leave your Pokemon in gyms, it technically earns you Pokecoins, so this can just earn you free candies for your Pokemon, which you can use to then power them up or level their levels up. you will need candies for them to level their levels up so this is a cool system to be able to farm candies for your max pokemon and i wonder what it means when it says an assist in battles let me run something by you here and this would be a fantastic game changing concept that i hope they're implementing. When I told you that you can't use remote raids, you probably got pretty disappointed and were like, whatever, these are like shadow raids, I'm never going to do the feature, who cares?

In the main series Pokemon games where, you know, Dynamaxing and Max Raids happened first, you could join a Max Raid battle by yourself with no other friends, and there would be three AIs essentially there to help and guide you through the raid and battle with you technically so that you can defeat the raid solo. So what I think this feature could be, and I really- really hope it is. It's basically a way for you to Leave Pokemon at these max spots, these power spots, so that your friends and local community who come across it by themselves can still get in there, them and three other Pokemon, to battle and take down the max raid.

I'm hoping. This is an AI or some sort of like PVE system where, again, I can leave my Pokemon at a gym. That Pokemon stays in there and helps other people who need people to battle with. It helps them battle with and take down.

the max raid which would be fantastic what a feature to solve the fact that this is that you can't remote raid and that not a lot of people have other people to play with that would be so great and i really hope that's what this is here's the reward screen very very cool and check out the rewards from beating these a golden raspberry a rare candy a super potion 100 xp and then your 10 premiere balls so the rewards are really good those are super premium items oh my god Oh man, yeah, I mean, you know this it's Pokemon go right? It's Pokemon go. It's Niantic. For 100 pokecoins, you can upgrade your rewards and give yourself an extra golden raspberry, extra rare candy, extra super potion, and extra 10 premiere balls.

Man. Oh man, all those poor souls who are just gonna dump money into this. Don't buy that. If the rewards are actually good, maybe consider it if it's worth 100 Polka Coins. That reward, don't buy that.

I guess this is helpful for people who think they need more. more premier balls but like these are tier one Pokemon like you're like this maybe is helpful I digress maybe for when like we get the like the level five like the tier five like the big daddy Max raid dens and people like need the extra 10 balls it would just be a really terrible world to where you need 20 premier balls and a golden raspberry to catch a Pokemon, which would force players to spend the 100 Pokecoins. I hope that's not what's going to happen because think about it.

If you rate a max raid with like three of your friends, you're going to get a bunch of extra premier balls because you're raiding with your friends. But if you go into a max raid and you rate it solo, even if there are other Pokemon in there for you to battle with, you're still only going to get the 10 balls. And if 10 balls isn't enough, then like you might want to spend the extra hundred. We're going to have to see.

I don't know this. I'm a little, I'm. I mean, get your bag, right?

You know, Pokemon Go, but like, you know, unnerf the remote raids, right? And that's everything that we know about max raids so far in Pokemon Go, but they're literally going live today. So subscribe because tomorrow I'll have a video covering it and actually playing it, raiding it, and maybe getting a shiny. See you then.

Thanks for watching.
