Vocabulary Improvement Test Overview

hi everyone I am John pavar welcome back to my YouTube channel or if you guys are new over here then welcome to my YouTube channel in this YouTube video we're going to be testing your vocabulary while I'm going to be testing your vocabulary so let me tell you the rules there are going to be 15 words and for each word there are going to be three options and you have to choose the correct option which is going to be the meaning of that word now the first five words are at a basic level the next five words are at an intermediate level and the last five words are at an advanced level so you're going to test yourself you're going to see how many of these vocab words you're going to get correct and then we're going to decide whether your vocabulary level is basic intermediate or Advanced and one more thing you're going to get five seconds to answer each word the first word is retrospect now is it consideration of past events is it predic of future events or is it analysis of current events now the answer of this one is your first one that is consideration of past events now I also want you guys to do something in the comment section down below make sure to use all of these words in different sentences basically the words that you're going to learn here the next word is juvenile what does juvenile mean fully aged full of wisdom or immature and young juvenile means young and immature so basically somebody who is a kid and is also immature is juvenile the next word is realm what does this mean a kingdom or a domain or a kind of plant or a kind of FL real means a kingdom or a domain basically if there is a domain that belongs to you or a kingdom that belongs to you we're talking about ter territory over here so that is your realm the next word is instance what does this mean an example or An Occurrence or a place of residence or just a simple place instance mean an example or An Occurrence you can also use this word like for instance basically instead of saying for example you can very simply say for instance the next word is diligent what do you think diligent means the options are hardworking and careful lazy and careless diligent is used for somebody who is hardworking and careful you can also use this to basically give a compliment to someone you can say oh she is very diligent basically she's hardworking and careful the next word is resilient what does this mean easily breakable able to recover quickly or constantly tired think about it resilient means somebody who is able to recover quickly you know when trouble comes up so there is a person who overcome those troubles in a very quick manner so that person is resilient the next word is transient what does this mean lasting for a very short period of time or something that is permanent or something that is Extremely Loud transient is used for a situation or a process that lasts for a very short period of time so that is transient for example the new course is transient so it lasts for a short period of time the next word is pacify what does pacify means does this mean to calm somebody to anger somebody or to ignore completely pacify means to calm somebody for example you're going to pacify her if you're going to keep doing these things and the next word is lethargic what does this mean sluggish and inactive extremely active or does this mean a normal kind of active lethargic means sluggish and inactive now the next word is confirm what does confirm means is it used for a person who follows established customs in the society or is it used for a person who rejects Society basically the Norms of society or is it used for a person who is kind of like a leader and he loves to inspire others confirm is used for someone who basically follows the society you know can't Rebel can't have different opinions can't have uh unique opinions just going to follow Society so that person is a confirm the next word is esoteric what does esoteric means something that is widely known or something that is only known by a small group of people you know specialized people or something that is extremely easy to comprehend this means something that is only understood or known by a specialized group basically a small group of people the next word is ambiguous what does ambiguous mean something that has multiple interpretations or something that is clear and straightforward or something that is extremely open to public ambiguous means and it's and Is Us for a situation or a word that has multiple interpretations for example if there is a word and it has multiple meanings so that word is ambiguous if there is a concept and there are multiple meanings you know somebody's going to uh comprehend that according to their way or their perspectives so that concept or that process is ambiguous the next word is saturate what does saturate means to fill in completely to dry out completely or to light ly Sparkle saturate means to fill in completely next word is loquacious what is loquacious is it often late to events or meetings or very talkative or very reserved in speech laaus is used for for someone who is extremely talkative you know somebody who's a chatter box hey you got a word there chatter box and the last word in for this video is inundate what does inundate means to get overwhelmed by things basically there are too many issues and now you're overwhelmed or to overcome problems or does this mean to overlook problems a nund date means to get overwhelmed by a lot of things now check out how many answers you got correct if you got the first five correct so you are at a basic level so you're good to go like you can start with an intermediate level if you also got the next five correct then you're good to go with an intermediate one basically you can start learning and start getting up onto the advanced level and if you got the last five correct then congratulations you already must be a fluent speaker of English I believe now let's also talk about if you only got like three correct from basic two correct from intermediate or two correct from Advanced because I know that is going to happen a lot in the comment section down below and you guys are going to be asking me John B I got these many correct what to do so let me tell you for people like you and for viewers like you you all have the information you all have read you all have practiced but now the problem is is that you all only understand a word in a situation in a context and that is totally fine because that is how I usually do it but make sure to get clarity a wordss so you need Clarity and for an advanced level you need to read more and more these can be magazines these can be newspapers newspapers are going to help you a lot if you are at an intermediate level then make sure to also read newspapers and watch series different movies and if you are at a basic level you need to do all three of these things you need to watch movies series you know interviews podcast basically all you need to do is immerse yourself in English so tell me what your level is in the comment section down below and at the same time as I said in the beginning of
