Let me ask you something. Would you ever walk into a war zone wearing flip-flops and a tank top? Of course not. So why do so many Christians walk into spiritual warfare every day wearing absolutely nothing? We're in a war, a real one. And it's not with people. It's with spiritual forces. Demons, temptation, darkness. It's happening whether you want it to or not. And if you're not armored up, you're going to get spiritually bruised, mentally exhausted, emotionally manipulated, and maybe even morally destroyed. The Bible doesn't say if the attacks to come. It says when they do, you better be ready. That's why Ephesians 6 10-20 gives us a blueprint, the armor of God. Ephesians 6 and 10 says a final word, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Before Paul ever tells us to suit up, he tells us to be strong in the Lord. Not in ourselves, not in our willpower, not in our personality, money, or connections. Strength must come from God. You can't win a spiritual battle in the flesh. The moment you think you're tough enough to fight the devil on your own, you've already lost. That's why James 4 and 7 tells us, "So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Humility is the beginning of spiritual strength. Depend on God first. Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. Ephesians 6 and 11. The devil has strategies. He studies you. Sets traps and attacks with precision. For we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world. And that was Ephesians 6 and12. This battle is not against your boss, your ex, your baby mama, your coworker, or your haters. It's against invisible spiritual forces. That's why 2 Corinthians 3-5 says, "We are human, but we don't wage war as humans do. We use God's mighty weapons to knock down the strongholds." If you're swinging at people instead of praying, you're wasting your punches. Now, Ephesians 6:14 talks about the belt of truth. It says, "Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth." The belt was central in Roman armor. It held everything else in place. That's truth. God's truth is your foundation. And in a world full of lies, you can't afford to be led by feelings, culture, or opinions. Truth isn't a vibe. It's a person. I am the way, the truth, and the life. John 14 and6. Without truth, your life falls apart. That's why Proverbs 4:23 says, "Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life." Truth keeps your core tight. And we're going to speak on the body armor of God's righteousness. And just like in Ephesians 6:14, it talks about the body armor of God's righteousness. Now, this protects your heart. And it's not your righteousness. It's God's. He put on righteousness as his body armor. That's in Isaiah 59:17. We don't earn this protection. We receive it through Jesus. This righteousness doesn't mean perfection. It means alignment. You walk in right standing with God. Confess your sins and walk clean. Satan loves to attack with guilt and shame. He'll whisper, "You ain't righteous. Look at your past." But Romans 8:1 shuts that down. So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. Shame is one of the enemy's biggest tricks. And a lot of times our shame will lead us into further sin. Ephesians 6:15 says, "For shoes put on the peace that comes from the good news so that now you will be fully prepared." Peace is not just for chilling. It's for readiness. When life gets chaotic, the peace of God keeps you standing. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. That's in Philippians 4:7. It's hard to move when you're barefoot and the ground is full of sharp objects. But when you have peace, you can walk over pain, betrayal, and hardship without falling. You keep moving. Now, the shield of faith. Ephesians 6:16 says, "Hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil." Everybody knows Satan is shooting fiery arrows. Doubt, fear, temptation, depression. Your faith is your only defense. We walk by faith and not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7. Faith doesn't stop the arrows from being launched, but it blocks their damage. And when you really trust God, it doesn't matter how hot life gets. Your shield is up. First Peter 5:es 8 and 9 says, "Resist him standing firm in the faith. Don't drop your shield when things get hard. That's when you need it the most." Now, we must put on the helmet of salvation. This is your mind protection. The devil wants access to your head. He attacks with anxiety, identity, confusion, insecurity, suicidal thoughts, lustful memories. He wants to break your mental stability. But your salvation reminds you who you are. You're redeemed, chosen, set apart, forgiven. Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Romans 12:2. Every lie must bow to that truth. The helmet keeps your head in the game. Now, we got to talk about the sword of the spirit. It says, "And take the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God." And that's in Ephesians 6:17. This is your only offensive weapon and is powerful. For the word of God is alive and powerful, sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword. Hebrews 4:12. When Jesus was tempted by Satan in Matthew 4, he didn't argue. He said, "It is written, you can't fight the devil with vibes. You got to fight with scripture. When doubt creeps in, you speak faith. When lust creeps in, you speak purity. When fear creeps in, you speak Psalms 91. Now, Ephesians 6:18 says, "Pray in the spirit at all times and on every occasion." Prayer activates the armor. You can't just wear the armor. You got to stay connected to headquarters. This is a spiritual war. You need constant communication with God to know the mission, stay encouraged, and call for backup. James 5:16 says, "The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power." The devil doesn't fear a man who knows scripture. He fears the man who prays it. Ephesians 6 also tells us to stay alert and be persistent in your prayers. This is not a casual thing. Too many believers get soft once life is peaceful. You have to stay ready. Complacency is a playground for Satan. They triumphed over him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony. Revelations 12:11. Testify, fight, keep that armor on every day. God's armor in cosplay. It's not decoration. It's a daily necessity. Don't just read Ephesians 6. We got to live it. You're not weak. You're not helpless. God gave you everything you need to win this battle. The war is real, but so is your weaponry. We locked in. It's due season.
